שואה בעין המצלמה - רומן וישניאק

רומן וישניאק (1897-1990) היה צלם וביולוג רוסי-אמריקאי. הוא ידוע בעיקר בזכות צילומי חיי היהודים במזרח אירופה לפני מלחמת העולם השנייה ובמהלכה, המספקים תיעוד ויזואלי ייחודי של עולם שעמד להיהרס בשואה. תצלומיו של וישניאק של גטאות יהודים בפולין והוצאת יהודים להורג על ידי נאצים הם מהתמונות האייקוניות ביותר של השואה. הוא ברח מאירופה ב-1940 ולאחר מכן השתקע בארצות הברית, שם המשיך בעבודתו כביולוג וכצלם.…
