I’ve made a thing! This is the result of my “Re-animator” obsession from earlier this year (and some personal struggle). It is based on one of the scenes from the For Want of a Shovel story (It is so good! But very dark, mind the warnings). 

Also it shouldn’t make much sense without context, because I’ve used a scene from the middle of the story, but I really wanted to.

I know it's been months since you did any wolf 359 art, but I feel the need to tell you that you capture Hilbert in, IMO, the most canon way. Like, I don't know how to describe it, every single piece you've done of him is just seeping with character. You portray him so well, I can imagine every spoken line he has in the show coming out of your Hilbert's mouth. He's just so perfect, his expressions say so much, his design is so interesting, your art is all around lovely. Bless your art

Hi, thank you! Ah, I’m so glad you liked my art! Wolf 359 is very important to me, so I just keep going back to it from time to time (so it’s really ok, it’s always on my mind in some ways). It has been with me in a really shitty period of my life and for that I am very grateful to it and to people who made it (I digress and it’s turning into a love letter to the podcast, sorry).

Hilbert is one of the things I really love about Wolf 359 so I just keep trying to capture his likeness as well as I can. I love his broken relationship with Eiffel and I love his broken relationship with Lovelace, but most of all I love the way they didn’t shy away from giving him depth? It was somehow heart-warming to have this “tropey Russian mad scientist” be a very difficult and complex and altogether not nice person, but a person nonetheless, and I love him very much.
