What do you think Mara's ethnicity would be in our world, Irish, English, Scottish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Danish, Swedish, German, Dutch, Belgian or would she be Slavic?

Interesting question! And one I have no idea how to answer 😅 I look very much white myself but am full Mexican, so I'm not that well acquainted with most of those ethnicities. I've only been to England, France and Spain.

If I had to choose...I guess she could be any of them. Probably not English, lol. Or Scottish. I love the accent but can't imagine her with it. I think I imagine her (a bit like myself) as a mix of different things. An all-cosmopolitan woman with some Irish, dutch, and maybe slavic sprinkled somewhere in there.

But what do you think, anon? Which ethnicity did you have in mind?

hello, I adore your mada jade art so much!! I get so excited every time I see you post new legends art. I was just curious - would you ever consider doing a commission for shada d'ukal and talon karrde (from visions of the future)? they are some of my favorite legends characters and I would love to commission artwork of them some day!

Yes to the commission! I'd have to do a good, thorough reference research, (my mental casting of Shada is a bit foggy) but definitely yes. Commissions tend to get me out of my comfort zone and it always end up being for the better.

I'll make a post soon about opening commission slots with updated terms and details about the process and things like that to make it easier for those who would like one!

Second, in your opinion, are Luke and Mara one of the couples who receive or give advice?

I think they are both very private when it comes to their relationship. I really only see them sharing things about it or themselves with a very select group of people. That said, I see them more of the type that would be open to receive certain nuggets of advice than the type to sound off to other couples. And by that I mean I can definitely see Han telling Luke to "take it slow, kid", but not so much the other way around? 😆

Anyway, that's my take at it, what do you all think?

Can I ask what programs you use for your lovely art? And do you use a laptop?

Hi!! For the last year, I've almost exclusively used Procreate to create my art on my iPad. Before that I used to do a lot of my illustrations in vector programs like Illustrator (graphic designer by profession here). When I was younger I tried getting into digital painting with a Wacom tablet, but I just could never get used to that whole using-the-pen-like-a-mouse thing.

I do have a laptop, but for my art I really only use the iPad. Hope that helps, anon!

That one was actually a commission, and I'm happy I got it, cause honestly I'm not sure I would have pushed myself into drawing a baby if I hadn't.

Also, fun fact, I think it took me longer to get Luke's face and hair looking right than it did to paint all the other characters and elements combined XD Mark Hamill's face is TRICKY lol.
