Things I do that I believe are ADHD #35
When I enter kitchen at work in the morning, I always turn on only the least bright light, because when it's dark outside, the lights inside can be too much and they hurt.

I live storms and rain. I could walk around getting wet for hours. And even though I'm scared a bit when the storm is loud and long, I find peace in those sounds.

And then randomly texting them because I've remembered.

Things I do that I believe are ADHD #29
If my right leg does something, my left leg should do it too to not feel left out. If you do it, you know what I mean, but if you don't...
If my right leg skips a step on the stairs, my left one should too. If my right hand touches the ceiling, my left should too. And so on.

Checking my pockets and bags five times before leaving home and then doing it randomly when I'm out, cause what if my wallet magically disappeared? What if my keys fell out? What if I have had my bag open this whole time?

Can't tell if this is like an autism or ADHD thing or just a me thing but does anyone else struggle with getting rid of stuff? Like I don't have any particular emotional attachment to any of these things but unless I actively want it gone, I worry that I'll regret getting rid of it so I hang onto things that I don't use or need anymore.

Hello everyone,
I found an article explaining the strength of checklists for those who have ADHD. Here’s some key points from the article:
41% of those diagnosed with ADHD as children continue to meet symptom and impairment criteria as adults.
Patients with ADHD thrive when given a structured environment that keeps them engaged and on task.
Something as simple as a checklist provides patients of all ages with an external nudge to stay focused.
As always, the source will be below for those who would like to read it. I hope many of you find this helpful.

Could it be also adhd thing?
Wait wait wait hold up.
Do neurotypicals not automatically look for patterns?? How?? It's so automatic what
Like for example, there's a item of clothing with flowers printed on it. Do neurotypicals not immediately try and find where the pattern repeats?
I spent years trying to figure out what the pattern was in the tiles in my bathroom.
I stared at someone's leopard print blanket for a good 5 minutes to find duplicate spots.
I genuinely cannot imagine a world where your brain doesn't do that.
Ok yeah bye 👍
