but to put it short, i’m still around! i had a meh couple of months offline so the motivation to play the sims hasn’t really been there, neither has it been there to check my discord bc at this point i just keep it on in the background.

What do the people of Rosewood & Thebene think of the whole David and Lily thing?

ahh tysm for the ask!! a great way to return from a small hiatus-esque thing!!

The people of Rosewood & Thebene are very.... split on their relationship with most finding it abhorrent, honestly. To begin with they took some amount of pride into it following Landon’s small scandal with his comments and how prestigious the match was given the kingdom’s recent history with their deposed King. Now, however, they find the age gap of eight years between them very disturbing and dislike how royal, advantageous marriages are still being put in place in the modern era. Those that do support it, however, recognise that there’s a need to better R&T’s standing on an international scale but that’s pretty much where the support dies. 

As more things happen - i.e. Henry’s assassination and David being seen with multiple women - the opinion’ll sour further. The match is also harming the monarchy itself as nobody knows who made the match so criticism is being lobbied directly at Rosehall Palace. A tl;dr: the people of Rosewood & Thebene aren’t happy about it overall.

In regards to the royal family, I won’t say much other than only one person is fully supportive of the match. A second, if we want to consider... former members of the family.

Funeral of Henry III Part 3 | More Foreign Guests Arrive

St. Windenburg Cathedral | 10 am

Foreign Guests from the World over have traveled to Pierreland to pay their respects to the slain Emperor.

HRH Princess Katarina of Brusberg has arrived. This is also her first visit to Pierreland. HRH opted for a beautiful black fascinator with black roses and a short sleeved black dress with a scoop neckline. @whitmoreroyals·

HRH Crown Prince Maximillian of Monaca has arrived, attending on behalf of his mother Queen Helena, of whom the late Emperor, the current Emperor and HIH the Princess Imperial are admirers of. @royalfamilyofgrimalldi·

HRH Princess Jacqueline Renaldi of Sandor next makes her appearance. This is her first visit to Pierreland. HRH elected for a simple black ensemble with matching fascinator and an accented pearl bracelet. @renaldiroyals·

President and Mrs Obama from The Republic are also in attendance. The couple were good friends of the late Emperor and the Dowager Empress.

HRH Prince Alexander of Scots, Duke of Rothsey is also in attendance, he is the first Imperial significant other to arrive at the funeral. He is officially attending on behalf of his father, King James, but the young heir to the Throne of Scots is also here to support his girlfriend HIH the Princess Imperial.

HRH Princess Lily, The Princess Rose rounds out the last of the foreign guests. The official girlfriend of the current Emperor was also there on that fateful day and is attending the funeral on behalf of her brother, King Caspian, as well as to support HIM Emperor David and family, with whom she has become close. @houseofhighgarden·

Her Majesty Has Given Birth!

Rosehall Palace released a statement earlier today confirming the birth of HM The Queen’s fourth child. As many had come to expect, the child was born two months early. Royal doctors have come out and said this is most likely due to rising health concerns with HRH Crown Prince Hades. The statement is as follows;

‘Rosehall Palace is delighted to announce that Her Majesty The Queen has given birth to a healthy daughter at 4:28 AM.

Both the mother and child are in a stable condition and are doing well.’

Though the name has yet to be announced, many speculate that the daughter will be named The Princess Serene in due course.

Tilda: And you think referring to her by her title removes her presence? You think imagining us as teens takes us back there?

Caspian: I… Queen consorts are replaceable. Like, there’s only ever going to be one Caspian I but there’s some many Queen consorts…

Tilda: Who’s to say there won’t only be one Queen Xenia?

Caspian: Is there a reason for bringing up my wife in all of this? You’re choosing a peculiar time to start caring about her.

Hi! I love your story. I'm fascinated with united kingdoms and I just wanted to know how harmonious your kingdom is? If not, why not? If yes, how so?

ahh thank you so much!! i’ve actually given this some thought so i’ll do all that under a read more but, tldr; the united kingdom of rosewood & thebene is harmoniously united and done so through mutual visions of how a country should be run, how a monarchy should behave, their love for their union and in general an isolationist view they’ve both had for centuries!

for a more detailed explanation:

the kingdoms of rosewood and thebene have never had any bad blood bar the great war. they’ve always worked, lived and coexisted together well with multiple mutual agreements. thebene would import goods from across the seas that rosewood might not’ve gotten otherwise and rosewood exported it’s arts and pink wood. the pink fleet of thebenian ships would become a staple to the united identity.

since the medieval times, rosewood & thebene have been known as two sides of the same coin - a yin and yang type scenario. it was said that so long as rosewood ruled the land and thebene conquered the sea, a union between the two that was powerful and dominating was inevitable and to beware it’s might.

in terms of geography, i imagine the UK of R&T to be a peninsula and group of islands that’s largely separated from the sovereign states around them and thus an isolationist viewpoint that’s mutual has developed over time 

it is believed for extra land in what would become the thebene province, the kingdom of thebene gave rosewood the island of windermere. many modern historians point to this as being the first inkling of an eventual union.

in the years preceding the great war, the thebenian people became dissatisfied with their monarchs. from unattainable goals of the monarchs to lavish spending, the people became disconnected to their royals and turned to the rosewood models as a sense of admiration. contemporary songs and poems of this time lament how jaded thebenian kings had become but praise rosewood kings for their sense of humbleness and professionalism. 

during the great war, the thebenian people made it clear early on that they had no interest fighting in the name of their king who had declared the war to annex rosewood into the thebenian kingdom. the support for the thebenian monarchy dwindled to roughly twenty percent and, of that, it was the older upper-class that supported the king, leaving thebene without a strong army as the lower classes refused to fight.

the flight of aeneas is famous for it recalls how the thebenian king - named aeneas the terrible - tried to flee the thebenian capital of ankalia but was mobbed by the thebenian people. it was then that they carried him into the neighbouring rosewood province of estherkirk and demand his surrender as the war had been costly for thebene given the large land fighting that was being done as opposed to their strength of the sea.

through an opportunistic marriage between rosewood’s king alexander i and the eldest daughter of aeneas and the new queen of thebene, hortensia, the two kingdoms were united under alexander’s name, house and banner.

with the spread of thebene’s religion to rosewood, there’s very little that the two don’t have in common. architecture has been mutually swapped and now only a few customs truly separate the two peoples. the united identity - named robenian - is one most identify as but acknowledgements of rosewooden and thebenian identities remain.

recently there has been a rise in thebenian independence amongst the oldest thebenian residents but the strength of it is pretty weak as the leader is the eldest great grandson of aeneas who would be king had the union not happened and thus many see it as a poorly veiled attempt of former glory.

as of right now i really like the union aspect of my story but who knows!! in the future there may be some trouble!!

The Queen Has Gone Into Labour

Rosehall Palace released a statement earlier that HM Queen Xenia has been taken to Apollo’s Royal Infirmary in Willow Creek after her water broke unexpectedly early in the morning. Royal doctors have confirmed that Her Majesty is two months early with the birth. HM The King was unable to attend due to royal engagements within the Tarlia Province but released a statement through Switter that he was on his way to support his wife. Her Majesty was accompanied to the hospital with her mother, Her Grace The Duchess of Knossana, and her sister-in-law, HRH The Princess Rose.

Netizens rejoiced the news of the impending arrival of the royal baby and betting has since seen a sharp increase since the announcement was made.

Queen Spotted At Cousin's Ceremony Alone!

HM The Queen was spotted at her father’s residence of Naxeus Palace to attend the coming of age ceremony for her niece Danai Alexatos, The Right Honourable Countess of Cebrione. This is the first time that Her Majesty has been seen following the announcement of her pregnancy with her fourth child. Interestingly enough - and onlookers were quick to realise - HM The King was not there to accompany his wife to the event. Although coming of age ceremonies are rooted deep within Thebenian tradition and thus Rosewoodians tend to make themselves scarce, it has been reported on multiple occasion of the good relationship The King has with his in-laws. Netizens’ speculation has gone anywhere from concluding that His Majesty was more than likely busy to prospects of an affair. Rosehall Palace has yet to comment on these speculations and rumours, though HM The Dowager Queen has released a statement through Artemidora House dispelling these rumours as ‘nonsense.’

Royal insiders suspect that the royal child will be born ‘within months’ and betting on the name has already began. Eleanor remains a popular name for a daughter whilst Hercules has been a rising favourite in recent weeks.

Rosehall Palace Releases Royal Family Portrait

Rosehall Palace has released a portrait of the royal family to celebrate their reunion as a family of four. The portrait confirms that HM The Dowager Queen will be taking a lesser role as her son grows his family and becomes more comfortable as King. Many speculate that the exclusion of HRH The Princess Rose is a sign that the relationship to HIM David I of Pierreland is going well.

Many netizens took to social media to commend the family on how healthy they all look and that they wish HM The King reigns for a long time, steady and stable following his father.
