𝐍𝐎. 𝟏  𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞   |   VARIOUS LOCATIONS, DECEMBER 1990
❧  𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲  /  𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭.
‎‎‎‎‎ ❛ The banality of human tragedy wasn’t enough for a princess. Some may have said it was an insult. The publishers, insatiable in their hunger for a story, chased answers. They would force slippery, delicate reality into the shackles of narrative. They would explain the unexplainable. Numerous leads bubbled forth in the immediate days following the event. At first, they came as a respectful trickle of whispers. Then, they came in a loud burst that could fill the amorphous space between breaking news and solemn coverage of a state funeral. Most of the claims were false: the queen had held the gaze of an owl twenty days prior; a storm had thrown and scattered stones in an ominous glyph; waterway residents had heard plaintive weeping from the water before the disappearance; a daykeeper sent a letter to the palace warning the mountains were shaking with longing; the princess was terrified of water and had diligently avoided it before this fateful outing. The latter was true.
𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝 & 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 ↓
It wasn’t moving water that paralyzed her. She had appreciated the crashing of beach waves and the foaming, rushing flow of rivers. The waterfalls in Yaas had captivated her. The problem was still water. Placid and smooth, the expanses of lakes and ponds and swimming pools unsettled her to the core. Others saw them as gentle and inviting; these comely traits, to her, were the duplicity inherent to any natural danger.
As with many fears, this one had been formative. These bodies summoned memories of gasping and flailing—a visceral recollection of the moment in which her swimming education both began and ended. The publishers would report that she refused to bathe in tubs or put her face beneath a shower head. These details were embellishments, but they knitted together the perfect narrative to rendered the death star-crossed, inevitable, and shadowing even in the unobstructed light of day. With such winking glints of absurdity, a deluge of articles teased intrigue from something utterly ordinary.
Indeed, that was the wretched truth with which the family had to contend, even as days of newsprint consoled the public with fantasy. Once the body was recovered a few hours later, the coroner called it what her fellow passengers had assumed: an accident. People drowned in Uspana every day. Such a demise was considered divinely favored, and the context—the story that underwrote it—didn’t matter. The mountains claimed their favorites regardless of whether their lungs filled with a few inches of bathwater or deep inhales of Canarís Bay saltwater. These favorites were regular people. They were also, from time to time, royalty.
The cause was misadventure, not malevolence.
Still, when Beatriz stumbled over to the telephone on the day she received the news, she took a deep breath to steady herself and said with conviction, “Arnaut, he's finally killed her. Please come home.”
TRANSCRIPT:
[A] Boating? Seriously? [S] New yacht, too. He named it the Safyanora. Sweet, isn't it?
[A] I just can't believe he convinced you to go on it. [S] Me either.
[S] We've been giving each other space for a few weeks. [A] Is that what you call it?
[S] I should put in effort, you know? Be forgiving. [A] You do. You are. The problem is when he takes advantage of it, which is every single time.
[S] Friends will be there with us. There'll be no fighting—not the terribly unfun kind, anyway. [A] {Sighs.}
[A] And you're still not wearing the ring?
[S] For now. We'll see how I feel after this trip. [A] Uh huh.
[S] He promised a romantic getaway! Maybe that's what I need. [A] It's true. You work too much.
[S] No, you don't work enough—[A] Hold on. Someone's here.
[S] I can let you go … I do have work to do. [A] {Chuckling.}
[A] Abelina, tell Auntie hello. [AB] Hi Safy! [S] Hello, baby girl.
[A] It's bedtime story o'clock, unfortunately. [S] I'll call you when I'm home in a few days. [A] Good. I love you. Have fun. [S] I love you, too. Goodnight.
[S] {V.O.} Hi Mama. Sorry I missed you.
[S] {V.O.} We arrived in Intizara a couple days ago. There were more cameras than usual. It was disconcerting.
[S] {V.O.} Anyway, I'm calling you from the water.
[S] {V.O.} Aren't you proud of me? {Chuckles.}
[S] {V.O.} Manuel and Eita are with us.
[S] {V.O.} We're having fun, all of us.
[S] {V.O.} I needed this.
[S] {V.O.} We needed this.
[S] {V.O.} I know you don't want to hear it, but he's making an effort.
[S] {V.O.} I feel hopeful. Call me back. I love you.
[B] {V.O.} This is not a message for voicemail.
[B] {V.O.} I wish you had come to the phone just this once.
[B] {V.O.} How do I say this? It's unspeakable.
[B] {V.O.} {Sighs.}
[B] {V.O.} Arnaut, he's finally killed her.
[B] {V.O.} Please come home.

Procession from St. Anne's Cathedral to St. Peter's Abbey
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Procession behind the funeral carriage left from St. Anne's on it's way to St. Peter's Abbey where the Late Dowager Empress will be interred next to her husband, Father in law and Mother in Law in the James IV Chapel in St. Peter's Abbey ( also buried there is James IV only sister Princess Carolina). Joining the procession was Her Royal Highness Princess Abigail who attended on behalf of her father who has been in Ill health.
A car carrying Her Imperial Highness The Duchess of Snowport and The Earl and Countess of Hereford left for the Abbey ahead of the procession, The Duchess has been in Ill health for years and is unable to stand for long periods of time. A source confirmed that Her Imperial Highness wanted to be able to stand as The Dowager Empress' coffin went into the abbey so they left to arrive ahead of the procession. Stay tuned for Her Imperial Majesty final entrance into the Abbey where she married into the family over 60 years ago.

The History of the Succession to the Crown shows the historical succession to the throne of Wessex starting with the 1st monarch to rule from the throne, King Henry I of Wessex, at the top of the chart leading to the current sovereign Queen Anne II of Wessex at “25″ at the bottom.
The symbol/flower next to an individual is which royal house they belong to. There is also a brief description about each house that has ruled Wessex.
Note this chart only shows how each monarch is related to each other and their descent from Henry I of Wessex, not necessarily an entire family tree or the current line of succession.
The First Act of Succession
The First Act of Succession was established when Henry Carnarvon became the first King of a sovereign Wessex after the fall of the Saxon Empire. HE declared that the throne will pass through his male line, and it successfully passed from father to son until his great-grandson King Edmund I failed to produce a living male heir. When King Edmund I realized that there wouldn’t be any male heirs left, he signed the Enfield Declaration which declared the throne would pass the heirs daughter, Princess Mary Carnarvon of Wessex.
The Second Act of Succession
When Mary Carnarvon gave birth to her son, the future King Henry II of Wessex, The Second Act of Succession was officially passed, declaring that all possible claimants to the throne must descend from Princess Mary. Mary and her husband Edward Beaufort, The Duke of Worcester would go on to have five children, but only her youngest daughter Anne who married The Duke of Dorset would have any children to ascend to the throne.
The throne then passed to Anne’s son King Edmund II and passed neatly from father to son, until the death of Edward IV of Wessex. Edward IV has no male children, but he did have a daughter. Some nobles thought that Princess Joan (Edward IV daughter) was the rightful successor, while others thought that Edward IV’s brother Prince Henry, The Duke of Worcester was the more suitable heir.
Those who supported Princess Joan of Wessex  argued that the Second Act of Succession referred to “heirs general” and as the senior heir of Princess Mary Carnarvon, and it didn’t matter that she was female. Those for Prince Henry, The Duke of Worcester argued that the Second Act of Succession only referred to heirs male and would only allow for a female succession if the male line of Princess Mary Carnarvon goes extinct. Henry’s supporters won and the throne then passed to Edward IV’s brother, who reigned as King Henry III of Wessex.
It wasn’t until Princess Anne of Cornwall ascended the throne as Queen Anne I of Wessex that Wessex got its first female consort.
The Third Act of Succession
On her accession, Queen Anne I decided to limit the possible heirs to the throne to only her descendants, thus ending any claims of other West-Saxon nobleman who descended from House of Beaumont, and wished to challenge her for the throne. All subsequent monarchs under the Third Act, and later Fourth Act of Succession, must descend from Queen Anne I and her husband Prince George Bagration to be eligible to the throne.
The Fourth Act of Succession
The Fourth Act of Succession is the current Act governing the succession to the throne. It has three basic rules. 1) an individual must be a descendant of Anne I through one of her five legitimate children, 2) members of the occult  are banned from inheriting the throne, 3) and the line of succession follows male preference primogeniture.

Princess Alice Debuts New Portrait!
Tumblr media
The Queen's youngest sister, Princess Alice, has officially released a new portrait ahead of her 18th birthday tomorrow.
For her birthday portrait, the 10th in line to the throne wore a pink gown from the Envie Collection, accompanied by the sash that marks her as being part of the Royal Edwardian order (started by King Edward I, Alice's sash is one given to children of the monarch, in this case, as a child of King Richard) as well as the family orders of her sister, Queen Anastasia and her father, King Richard, which was given to her shortly before his passing.
Tumblr media
Alice also wore the Elphinstone Hoop Necklace, made for her 4th great grandmother, Queen Marie, as well as a new pair of earrings, believed to have been bought for Alice from her mother.
But for most people on social media and beyond, the real star of the show (other than Alice herself) was Queen Marie's Pink Tourmaline Tiara. The tiara was made and given to Queen Marie in 1858 as one of the many wedding presents she received from her new husband, King Edward II. Marie wore the tiara multiple times throughout her time as a member of the Royal Family, including in the last portrait made of her with King Edward II.
Tumblr media
After Marie's death in 1918, however, the tiara went back into the vault and until today, no one was quite sure if it was still in the Royal Collection, dismantled or sold. Queen Anastasia is said to have given the tiara to her sister because she knew her sister would love and appreciate the tiara.
Happy birthday Princess Alice!
