summary: vinnie does y/n’s hair while she is telling him the most recent drama

a soft knock at vinnie’s door made him pause the current anime he was watching and walk away from his bed. he was shocked to find a certain party girl on the other side.

“hey vinnie my hair fell out and i can’t even braid, do you know how to put a pony tail in?” y/n asked, vinnie stood there for a moment looking the girl up and down to admire her outfit.

vinnie and y/n we’re good friends, not the closest, but both of them had the most painfully obvious feelings for each other, vinnie grew eager at the chance to spend more time with her so he brought her to his gaming chair and grabbed the hair brush, ties, and gel from her hands and set them on the desk in front of her.

as vinnie began brushing out her hair an awkward silence took over the room.

“so did you hear timothee chalamet got caught kissing someone at coachella?” y/n blurted out as vinnie began slicking back her hair.

“no, who was it?” vinnie asked, he didn’t really care who was making out with timothee chalamet, but he would never pass up the chance to have a conversation with her.

“a lot of people think it was cindy kimberly but nothings been confirmed, kinda wish it was me but good for them they’re both hot as shit.”

“okay i’m done.” vinnie announced softly, setting the brush back onto the desk. y/n rose from the chair and began walking out of the room but halted when she realized vinnie wasn’t behind her.

“you’re not coming to the party?” y/n asked, turning back around to face him. vinnie let out a soft laugh at the thought and shook his head no.

“if you come i promise to stay by your side.” y/n commented before holding out one of her hands for him to take. vinnie looked around the room nervously, he didn’t know how to act around her.

“come on.” y/n pressed, shaking her hand a little. the small movement caused vinnie to break from his thought and latch onto her hand, heading to the main area of the hype house.
