Well I guess I could share some drawings since usually I just dogpile everything I want to say into 1 post and don’t necessarily have room for the art which is sad.

So I decided for pride month I’ll just dogpile some of my art that I haven’t shown here relating to my favorites from hxh kind of being like those 60 color packs of crayons.

I draw kind of like a crazy guy and I have a fair bit of art so I’ll make a cut off line to not clog...

Btw so I dont jumpscare you the art is of Izunavi and Giuliano, Shalnark and Chrollo, & Muherr and hehe a not canon character (In that order)

I made this one in ms paint and it makes me so happy man... I have it as my background screen on my computer rn i didn’t intend for this drawing to bang so hard but also I kind of drew it intending for it to be like the only house that’s not on fire yet because that’s a song that’s perfect for these guys hear me out

I made that one at like 2 am and yes it was to this song and to me it is objectively about these guys

I guess it could be a projection bc i just wanted to squeeze that guy bc hes just so funny and silly and I love these guys and giuliano is just like me for real so it’s fine

God I want to talk so much about Shalkuro since Shalnark is ALSO just like me for real and I actually haven’t before on this account and it’s kind of my soundboard for talking abt whatever relating to hxh but I really think I should save it for a post of it’s own..

Yea I post more about Giuliano

Not much to say tbh I have to go to school but I drew somethig n I rlly like it so

Inspired off of this song and im 100% sure it is like Giuliano to Prince Tyson like

Hes probably messed up a little because ultimate devotion to a prince cant be very good if you’re a hunter cause then you start doing some things that could be morally questionable

Like hes already contemplated attacking the other princes Go ahead and be a little messed up Giuli

He really wants Tyson to realize her power in the book and stuff, and like she told him and Izunavi before, he believes “there’s something special inside of [her].”

Plus like the reoccurring mentions of music in the song is perfect because well the whole thing about propaganda lyrics and stuff “And if it ever starts to pour down, little fang, the melody sings what the words can’t say.”

Plus the “gifts” in “And if it ever starts to feel sad, little fang, remember that your gifts are your gain.” Would be the book of Tyson uuurgg...

Im begging room 1006 to get a little more creepy and I am sure that Giuliano is the segway..

Izunavis gonna be like holy crap this is not normal What have I done

The magical eeriness of the song is perfect and it reflects the uncertainty of whats gonna happen to giuliano and to an extent Tyson as well

Antarctica Dark Continent

Wow ok so I discovered that I really think that Antarctica is neat and so cool and it reminds me so much of the Dark continent and today I will explain that (mostly text bc I havent made many drawings lol)

I was watching Life in the freezer by David Attenborough and they were going over a brief history of the exploration of the continent and it just kind of clicked in my mind.

Hey, that makes a lot of sense since they are both lands at least previously shrouded in obscurity and have been seen as inhabitable.

As we know, Antarctica has had a couple of successful expeditions (I’m currently doing my own research because.) and has had its fair share of history. Its geographical history is like no other due to the nature of how it is and it’s So Freaking Interesting.

If The Dark Continent has parallels with expeditions on Antarctica, then maybe some predictions or inferences could be made on the expeditions to the Dark continent before.

(cutoff line bc I ramble)

Greed is absolutely prevalent in Antarctic exploration, with several different nations rushing in to claim their own part of the newly discovered land, and people coming down to hunt and endanger animals even in horribly inadequate conditions, and I’m sure Togashi will want to do something with that with the Dark Continent.

The Dark Continent obviously isn’t frozen all over and most definitely has human like intelligence on it, but it is still as if not more treacherous than the environment of Antarctica.

On our earth, Antarctica sticks out as an alien land mass as opposed to all other familiar continents, and that can also be said to how people in the hunter x hunter world view The Dark Continent.

God and I just love these parallels Uurrgh.

I also Just wanted to make an Antarctica Muherr concept, so... hehe

I love the elf man. I want to make an au thing where Beyond’s team is going on a voyage to Antarctica rather than the Dark Continent, and of course Ging is there, too.

Beyond’s team could also work like how Antarctic science and research teams function in real life. They have many different roles that are relied on that would be fun to assign to each of Beyond’s team because I really like them.

Comparing the history of Antarctica and its exploration also brings up some questions and speculation for what Dark Continent exploration has been like and will be like.

Originally, our frozen continent was considered a fable or a myth from 650 CE to maybe somewhere in the 18th century when it came to light that Antarctica was a REAL place!

The Dark Continent was originally considered a “Lunatic’s Ramblings”, and up until recently it’s existence was not common knowledge at all, and I imagine that it wasn’t much different for Antarctica.

While there are a ton of people going to the supposed new continent, the Hunter Association is a much smaller portion of people among all of the passengers, and I think they will explore the Continent much like Antarctica with difficulty with Beyond’s team, of course.

Maps and globes and basically everything would have to have been changed in the mainland due to this new knowledge, and in real life the world map has seen its fair share of changes.

In Hunter x Hunter it’s been said that the Dark Continent had previous voyages and that probably would have been to do with curiosity with the shape of the earth and how big it really was.

On earth it’s pretty easy to see how it’s a globe, but Imagine how confused people in Hunter x Hunter are because really they never had gone all the way 360, and who knows if somebody ever will (Don? Where Is My crazy little Ancient Freecss Lunatic guy :heart_emoji:)

Explorers going mysteriously missing would lead to even more curiosity, as mentioned in the beginning of this arc “Pandora’s Box.” I feel like that’s going to be important.

I want to know the voyagers in history going on these missions like. God I know Togashi is introducing new characters left and right and going to one plotpoint to another like there’s no tomorrow but gosh. Once we really get into the thick of the Dark Continent part, maybe there could be flashbacks of all other 5 voyages that aid to be some sort of gradual foreshadowing of an event the characters are going have to go through.

I also just really like hxh lore ok Its so fun and and gosh and geez and like they they it was a totally different time and man wow

But anyways yea I just thought that all was cool haha get it?

Even though I hate the cold, I just love Antarctica because it’s so mystical and stuff and how obscure its is... Plus it makes my head go “ DarkContinent “ Repeatedly, and you know how much I love that.

Anyways, make sure to make the most of of whatever you’re doing if you can, cause it always makes stuff better if you try to look at things more positively even if it’s hard!

Help I just read chapter 400 and unofficial translation ofc but Guys its GIULIANO (wham smack pow dies)

Some Mild spoiler up ahead + pprobably long Post LOL! help Idk why my stomach hurts im probably hungry

he looks alive and well and actually well he may have More Time before all hell breaks loose in room 1006. Because as much as I want to believe and kind of hope for there beginning to be a positive outcome I am Doubting it

Izunavi seems to actually be considering some things giuliano said about the book of Tyson or Taithon and yay now were getting more exposition for Tyson as well

Hes Got a good idea for a less... bloody outcome of the war and you can conclude from that hes beginning to hear Tyson out from his tohughts on it but Izu Do you even know the extent of the beast?? No!!! Nobody does PLEASE WAIT

And also im just thinking shouldnt Giuli and Izu be teaching the other people nen because none of them went to kurapikas class . What will Tyson do with Nen

Tyson reminds me of Akhenaten and I think she’s the reason why I was so entranced by Our book “Akhenaten: Dweller in Truth” or wtv in english last year.

If you dont know, He was a Pharaoh who had been so odd and shunned by everyone and pushed his beliefs of monotheism but he was Very very peaceful and forgiving and insisted that the power of love would prevail. He would say these exact words (in the second speech bubble):

I cant make this up!!!!!

Idk how historically accurate that book was, but gosh I loved comparing Akhenaten to Tyson so much in that book.

Also like. unrelated but At least in this unofficial translation whats up with tysons pronounce Like I think what this now implies is that Tysons siblings use He and everybody else uses she bc of 1 time where Tserriednich used He and also this guy

Yea idek Im #siked to get more focus from room 1006 for ovbious reasons

Im glad to see that giuli retains his personality even though his brain chemistry has been altered slightly to be more Tyson oriented. But god I am still kind of convinced he’s doomed bc of whatever the hail that “taboo” is.

I think that the taboo is like actively harming the other princes in any way and the way that the room 1006 plot seems to be heading Giuliano and Izunavi since they are hunter bodyguards and are more knowledgeable about Nen and its huge significance in the war and stuff could maybe plot something against other Princes...

Uh oh! So since Giuliano has read the book over and over again probably he will definitely get the worst of whatever consequences there are in store for him, and also Izu is p much protected since as far as we know he hasn't even read past “Chapter One: Love Will Always Prevail”

Oh boy wel whatever......

Hxh ch 396-397 review

WHY DID EVERYBODY FLOCK TO MY CHAPTER 395 REVIEW FOUNDING PART ONE OK??????

Anyways yeah I didnt do reviews for the past couple of weeks because Things happened and I got busy and it got me out of my groove so.

I have been reading of course because who am I .

I’ll do an overview of the rest of the flashbacks because those Messed Me Up actually and I have art and things to say about it.

Spoilers, obviously . (Warning for Child Abduction and death)

Chapter 396: Founding part 2

Sadly I dont have viz screenshots because of it only being the recent 3 lol so I’ll be using an unofficial translation

There he is again with some weird Popcorn Cauliflower lookin things and ooh nooo

Hi Uvogin!

Also hi Phinks with the walnut hair. At this point I’ve adjusted to how wonky it looks though but

I actually love Sarasa a lot. She’s adorable and confident and fearless... I really hope nothing BAD HAPPENS TO THIS CHARACTER. auughgggggg

I also really like Sheila. Even though they didn’t end up being actual phantom troupe members Sarasa and Sheila matter to me and I really want to know what Togashi has in mind by bringing her back into the plot. But aside from that we also get another moment of exposition for Pakunoda and Chrollos relationship. Im Not Crying Youare.

I love to think that while a lot of other people call him ‘Little bro’, Pakunoda is the closest to being his actual “big sister”

Power cleaners moment. I actually slipped up and call them Power Rangers sometimes or like for example “Ranger red” instead of Clean up red. Whats funny is that I didn’t even watch power rangers as a kid this is just how it is

Look at all those sillies

I really really want to know what this sounded like because Im not gonna say that it’s really bad just because they’re kids, but I think it would be very funny if they were sugar coating it not even on purpose because of how young and silly they are.

Chrollo is actually 11 you learn in 397 so I’m guessing that would mean Paku is 10, Sarasa is like 8-9 or something since she’s the youngest, and Sheila is somewhere inbetween them all.

I love how out of context he sounds like a victorian child whos about to make an important announcement.

“Father, may I have the mic?” I never thought I would hear those words but knowing that it comes from baby Chrollo makes it all make sense.

Also look theres Nobunaga!! Wow!! He’s finally in his own flashback!

I like the composition of this panel because This chapter is supposed to be a highlight on Uvos progression and his relationship with Chrollo and the fact that Chrollo is straight ahead of him really drives that home.

IM CRYING THIS PANEL

To be honest you gotta love this because you really just see how sincere he is in just wanting to make all the other kids happy here, and they are ecstatic

With Chrollo doing all the same lines though just imagine theres this kid and he just has crazy vocal range for no reason and hes talking to himself in 7 different voices

I love how everybodys like stunned and then theres just Nobu who is there

ALSO IS THIS A SAIKI K REFERENCE BECAUSE I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF TOGASHI JUST SLIPPED THAT IN THERE... (In some volume extras I think of vol 35 he put references in random panels and replaced the text and there was a saiki k reference in one. Fun fact)

I also really like the composition of these panels.. Its also very centric on Uvo and Chrollo which I appreciate. Also I can see it being animated a lot for no reason like its so easy to imagine with this format.

Im just gonna put this whole page here and then talk abt it I love it so so so so so omuch and tears are definitely not in my eyes right now because of it.

So first of all, I read this translation first, and I think the lines they put here are better than what they put in the VIZ one. I don’t remember what they were, but the top panels lines here are just so raw and “That was me dubbing you!” Flows well. Sometimes unofficial translations can be wonky, but they did great on this page.

I love Love Love the way this page was drawn too. The way that Uvo and Chrollo just look shocked and are shown side by side is great, and I love the focus and detail on Sarasa and also even though it’s a still picture, her hair has so much motion and i i i i

Everybody’s reactions are nice too. I’m just thinking. No wonder Togashi had to take all that time off especially for these chapters. Drawing this many people is not easy at all...

I like Uvo and Machi’s dynamic lol. They seemed to already be friends which is just really funny since she’s just this tiny little child and then Uvo is like. Already like 6 foot 2 or something idk. (He grows to be 8′5.)

This is so funny because when you think of the Phantom Troupe you think of incredibly twisted people, but no, their original original name came from them trying to make a company name for their little dubbing thing.

Im Crying again haha. I mean I guess in the end he did become a villain, so wish fulfilled!

This line is so relevant to so many things involving Uvogin, even having to do with his character in the yorknew arc

This is Depressing but I love the attention to detail with how he’s gripping his shorts. I just wanted to point that out

Oh and haha he’s blaming himself for something only somewhat inside his control as a young child... Hmm.. That sounds familiar...

Dont you love when you start having a little more hope for something again...

Seriously when I read this part I felt my heart drop. SO much so that I made a whole redraw of it for chapter 357!

I feel like the flowers on her head would be little orange roses.. Because well for one, the orange cleaner, and also orange roses are a symbol for Joy I think and that’s perfect for her

Im so glad that Togashi decided to make this little scene because I wouldn’t be able to handle what just happened before without this closure and Im pretty sure that was done on purpose because That was like one of the most horrific scenes in Hunter x Hunter in my opinion.

You could feel how everybody was panicking and the grief and anguish and it was just aaahhhhhhggghghhgh.......

Anyways. Onto another thing that is helping me process all of this lol

This is another line that I liked better in the unofficial translation

JUST. JUST. “Those pretty eyes of yours make my skin crawl.” ESPECIALLY IN THE CONTEXT OF MACHI IS SUCH A COOL LINE!!! anyways :)

I like nen so This is also very relieving. We are getting lore....

THIS GUYS LIKE 11 AND HES ALREADY DOING STUFF TO FIX METEOR CITY. SO IS CHROLLO THE REASON WHY METEOR CITY HAS TO DO WITH THE MAFIA???? PROBABLY.

Add Predicts the technological revolution to baby Chrollo’s achievement list. This kid Hunter x Hunter children are insane for a fact

He would do great in my English 10 Honors class with all that evidence and reasoning there

hey guys its Shalnark here and today I’m going to explain chrollos Nefarious plot

Hes so happy that he didnt have to do 3 paragraphs of more explaining! ..also

Like man her best friend just got Murdered and she can not do this. I bet part of her does not want to be involved with the troupe anymore because they have the most to do with her death, and maybe she even counts them responsible for them not caring, and with that she probably blames herself too.

I really want to see her again she is such a character and there’s no way that Togashi’s just gonna bring her back here and not have her be plot relevant. Was she for or against the kurta massacre!??!?!?!? wha????

Top ten ways to become a mass murderer

lets play a game. Is this a quote from Kurapika or Chrollo?

Look at all these parallels and foreshadowing... Putting that in perspective, that means that Chrollo became the very person he sought to destroy as a child, and I wonder if he realizes that, especially now in his current mental and emotional condition. But at the same time, he may have been expecting that. He should know that the Troupe has all the right to be persecuted with the amount of carnage that they’ve caused.

THIS OUT OF CONTEXT.

I think the whole thing with the Villain and this panel is a callback to Uvo’s line about being the worlds greatest villain, and maybe Chrollo was thinking that he would fit as leader because of that but...

Get pranked! Also notice how Paku is also gripping the end of her dress. Since I’m an empath, I can tell that Paku is having mixed feelings and is nervous about this /s

In 3 years he shed his old pair of eyes and then regrew Strange Eyes. Hold on.

This is extremely important and like one of the best things Ive ever made.

He has Strange Eyes HE GOT HIS STRANGE EYES LETS GOOOOOO

I decided I wanted to do math So their reunion happens around 7 years before the Kurta massacre, and that’s when Chrollo is 21.. so 10 years after sarasa’s death is when the Kurta massacre takes place.

Ok were finally to the end of this fun fun fun Chapter! I have 2 questions.

1. Where is Phinks?

2. Shalnark What has he the Hair and Outfit? What? Ok well technically he’s in style since this is like the mid-late 80′s then but he looks a little bit like a Flamboyant Pop star from that era and then everybody else is just regular for their character. Then there’s just Shalnark with his fluffy mullet and the oversized suit and the collar

And also if that was his style when and why did he change? We could have had a totally different Shalnark tbh but I’m happy with the one we have.

Anyways

Hope you enjoyed this absolute behemoth of a post and I may do another one with the next two chapters some time

In the meantime, who knows, just keep doing what you do & make sure you drink enough water so that your pee looks like light pineapple juice or lemonade (that means youre healthy)

hxh Chapter 395: Founding: Part 1

Ohm yg od oh my god I love this chapter!!!!!!

So let’s get started

I’m deciding to use the viz translations since I didn’t review yesterday and they come out on sundays so yeaaa

Ok so we begin with Hinrigh who has Cracked The Code on the Heil-Ly base thing

They’re gonna go after those two guys and...... To be honest I don’t care if they end up dying!!!! Go ahead!! I forgot their names already and Togashi’s going to need to manage the like 60 new characters that he’s made this arc...

Volksen ever. Apparently her officially translated name is like Bork something but Volk is a lot better in My opinion and people spell Giuliano like Juliano all the time so does it Really Matter?

Volk makes me think of a Volkswagen car and Bork makes me think she has an acidic reflux I’m sorry.

Also Otocin = Otoshin (doesn’t really matter to me) and Momolly = Momori (Momori is way cooler sorry so I will also be saying Momori)

I also permanently associate Volksen with octopi now but that’s besides the point.

Anyways enough about the 6 People from last chapter let’s move on.

Fun fact I still cant remember his freaking name What Is it Somebody please say It nobody has said it in the past 5 chapters and I’m confused but anyways.

He says the Phantom troupe are checking out 3102 (next to the trap room 3101) because they think there might be a Hideout behind rooms 3101-3103 and of course they’re being insane about it, since to them it doesn’t matter if they have a plan or not.

He’s been talking a lot about people being captured..... Togashi? Is this going to be another big theme??

He needs some water or some skin moisturizer or something He can’t be living like this dude look how dry that skin is...

Anyways they're threatening this guy to get in the room as you do.

I’m going to thank Togashi forever for visuals because without them in this arc I would be entirely lost.

I really don’t have any sympathy for this guy but Imagine if three guys just came into your room and then cut a hole in your bathroom.

I’m sorry but in this panel he looks so emo it’s... It’s the hair and the... The everything looks extra emo.

I love this conversation cause it opens new parallels between the mafia and the troupe, which Phinks, Feitan, and Nobunaga are already involved with and it gives some more insight, but also What is Nobunaga holding right now.

When I saw this page spread I kid you not I think I went crazy for a second. It’s a callback to the flashback in chapter... 102 (the panels were redrawn!!!!!!@2442454##$#%^$#)

I was right with Chrollo being the one on the left and Franklin being the one on the right closest to the tape, but I thought Shalnark would be the one sitting in front of the elder, and Phinks was the one running at the bottom..... However..

THE ONE WITH THE CURLY WAVY HAIR IS SHALNARK.......... (broken heart crying emoji /pos)

God I love this Flashback Look at them all. Shalnark and Chrollo are my best guess at like 9 years old and Franklin is probably like uhh 16 or something.

Franklin has a Oldest-brother-that-is-cool-and-is-in-college-while-you-are-in-middle-school vibe which I’m not being super specific about you guys have to know what I’m talking about right.

Tbh this part felt a bit like I was on something but it’s ok it works out!

I love how they have Territory like its warrior cats. Like theyre those kids on the playground that would play warriors (definitely not me /s) But its taken to the actual extreme and they actually fight.

I’m guessing Uvo is also 16 but Puberty just hit him in the face with an iron bat. He’s like the Average bully archetype but also taken to the extreme because they live in a dump city.

Machi... She’s just... She’s like 5 or 6 years old oh my god she’s a literal baby actually... and she’s just handing Uvo a “Murder Weapon” they would probably call it.

Since Meteor city residents technically don’t exist since they don’t have any form of identification, that means it was legal to kidnap them, kill them, commit crime against them etc since they technically “weren’t human”...

A while later to prevent this, Meteor city allied with the mafia to be safe, but before that there were hundreds of victims and 70% of them were under 15.

Their ties with the mafia grew stronger, and Nen abilities came about the elders, and a pledge was made (The law of retribution):

“Only life can compensate for a life.”

“We’ll accept anything you leave here, but don’t ever take anything away from us.” (a note left at the kurta massacre, if it rings a bell)

And so with all this going on the Phantom troupe formed 12234543

chapter 394 hxh

It’s that time again to review the latest chapter of hunter x hunter

Buckle Up! The Black Whale is a bumpy ride! (Spoilers)

Ooh boy oh man well we’ve yet again gotten MORE piles of information plastered on to a million layer information pile. I can’t wait to decipher more of it /hj.

It reminds me of those duct tape balls or whatever they are that people like cut and then it goes crazy... if that made no sense to you, sorry lol

Anyways

Back to the old guy and Hinrigh

I was so confused at this point and right at the beginning of the chapter too :sob:

So let’s do a little review.

In chapter 393, they were looking for the room because if there was a wall there, it would have revealed them to have a hideout, them being the Heil-Ly, and they were looking for a Corporal...

The corporal they had, though, knew this, and was the one to show them this because Hinrigh and ... err... Cha-R underboss (I still forgot his name) ... had both paid him to.

Then they found this old guy, who is obviously suspicious and I am guessing had an ability to take over people’s bodies but not be there themselves.

He definitely has something to do with the Heil-Ly family, but I’m not sure if his ability is given from Morena, because he said he had a history of this kind of thing... Not sure if he was just saying something to be strange, though.

I’m still confused about the corporal they’re looking for.. I skimmed through the last chapters but couldn’t find anything that made sense to me.

Oh well,

It seems that the whole room was a trap, and only people come through to the Heil-Ly, not objects.

Rest in peace this guy. He lived for like 3 seconds.

The Heil-Ly are just spawning random teleportation points for their members to get levels quickly by immediately killing whoever steps through. Quite a dark way to put it, but they’re basically XP farming

Also, how do they know they’ve reached another level??? Does it just tell them in their mind? Do they feel a weird level up sensation?

What are these side-notes :sob: “Ty, Mad Jelly, OHHH NOOO”

It might just be the translation, though... Some are weird like that (I won’t ever forget “What’s that? What the hell going on here?!”)

394 hasn’t come out yet on viz, so. I’m surprised. I thought that after 391 they would make you pay for them? urr... Oh well.

Oh boy oh boy here’s the new characters I live them. They’re Tserriednich’s soldiers, and as stated before, they’re going against Morena now because Tserriednich is now. They’re so interesting...

Mm now were getting into the significance of nicknames as well. “Tserri”

This guy, Otoshin, is really smart but also very dumb.

Dopey lookin’ eyes.

Oh boy, if he really is going to be placed in the front line, does that mean he’ll be extra exposed and be the (possibly first out of several) guard to be captured..?

His first couple of panels are gender I’m leaving I can’t do this anymore Togashi.

Is this the corporal that they were looking for? Hm. It’s my best guess, but I’m not sure which side he’s on though, and why he would be in the hide-out... or was a corporal missing and they were looking for them? I am lost on this.. but I’m going for that it’s this corporal (Corporal Gipper, apparently).

Also she is very pretty I’m getting up and leaving again.

Time for another load of info,

Mmm... So they found a body of a Cha-R member in the Heil-Ly when clearing it through. The room was already looked through, so that means they purposefully looked over the body. They being the police and army.

This guy then brings up the HA (Hunter Association) and explains that they wouldn’t let something like this slide. He says that it could lead to HA distrusting Kakin and their forces, and there being even more disputes.

The lady (I love her hair) brings up the HA’s specific jobs (Guarding princes (oh hello Giuliano, hi there.), and supporting tier 3), and doubts that they would get involved in the mafia.

This guy counters that with talking about more about the hunter association, in particular the bodyguards.

If the bodyguards find out that the mafia has blood ties with their princes, they will view them as competitors, and want to protect their princes against the illegitimates.

Nobody else would have a problem with that, since basically everybody else may or may not be after the mafia, there could be a war brought between the Mafia and the Kakin Empire.

The Heil-Ly wants to bring about this unbalance, so they’d be getting what they want by this happening.

Phew. I think that explains this whole page.

I live them .......

They all seem to have a relationship with the Prince, or rather, had. Tserriednich lore moment! Given that Otoshin apparently didn’t get shot at when he called him out, I would say that he was probably the closest to him.

Oh my. That would make it even worse then if Morena used Contagion on him.

Anyways.

Oh man look at those sillies... I sure hope that I don’t become emotionally invested in them.

I forking love this whole page... The last panel is such an amazing drop, too with the visual of the callback to when he shot that one guy.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY RELEASED ONLY ON SUNDAYS HELP? WAIT? ANYWAYS so i read this a little later than I wanted to since i thought it released tomorrow but thats okay.

Its review time!! I have a little less to say this chapter than the last two, but I still have a little word

spoilers, obviously

So, we’re back to Luini...

Tbh Im KIND OF GLAD THAT HE JUST DESTROYED HIM HE WAS BEGINNING TO GET A LITTLE ANNOYING...

Its interesting to think about it.

He could have been downright offensive to these three as all of the troupe is still processing the deaths of Shalnark and Kortopi and hes just telling them to discard all of that.

Imagine if somebody like Luini showed up after Uvogins death/during their requiem.. yea... I have a feeling Nobunaga would be even more pissed.

ALSO NOBUNAGA DOESNT LOOK SUPER WONKY IN THIS PANEL YAY

In the previous chapters and stuff he just looked so strange and it wasn’t bothering me or anything but yaa there he is.

Luini is the negative fanbase and This guy is the positive fanbase.

This translation lets people curse and im living for it (also hes doing the funny point pose)

Imagine dying like this..... what a way to go. Also, was he just like this the whole time he was talking to the troupe? Just. his butt out of the wall??

Anyways. Luini is always making me think about things I don’t want to. Good riddance.

WHY IS HE LITERALLY JUST NAMED DEMON AND WHY IS HE A REAL-ESTATE AGENT. I NEED ANSWERES. It might just be this translation for the name, but still.. Real estate agent? Eh. It’s not like all the other occupations are very expected to join a mafia anyways.

Whoever this person is i love them. They are named after a dessert AND they are a pro gamer AAND they have the hxh trademark strange eyebrows.

Also, it took me whoever to know who this guy was but he’s the guy at the stand that Lynch first punched (23 members).

We have a Pro Gamer and a Game Centre Employee. They either get along very well or hate each other with a burning passion. Either way, I want to see if they have a dynamic bc thats interesting.

Oh god please die I don’t know anything about him other than the fact that he is a human trafficker PLEASE DIE HELP. I hope he dies very quickly.

I like this guy he seems silly and i like silly people, so. He’s yet another cheery light haired guy that very vaguely resembles shalnark (the other being Giuliano, i love Giuliano by the way I really like Giuliano, anyways heres a comparison)

Nonetheless please don’t stop making this brand of guy he’s just like me.

Matovelle gets an extra point though because he is probably also insane.

I love when the characters are so short compared to the others that you can only see the very top of their heads.

I feel like this person is also going to be dangerous... they look like the Hei-Ly underboss (I think??), so im sensing a little bit of a pattern lol. (please bring back the Hei-Ly underboss lady or whoever she was i need her i anyways)

I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT THIS WAS KORTOPI AT FIRST AND I WAS SO CONFUSED BUT ANYWAYS OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I SAW THIS PAGE.

THEYRE ALIVE AND AND I LOVE THE WAY THAT ZAKURO WAS DRAWN AND AN ANYWAYS I NEED TO CALM DOWN. phew ok... I am beginning to like Lynch and Zakuroa lot theyre great.

I feel like theyre getting themselves into yet another hassle. Hopefully this time they won’t underestimate their enemy, that is if they do find them this time.

This seems like a pretty good deal, but theres got to be a catch later. I’m guessing that may be Chrollos state of mind by the time they find him... Again, given that he looks like this

Also, this must be a reference of some sort..

PSHHH I HOPE HE NEVER STOPS PUTTING REFERENCES IN HXH. The movie theater was a perfect place to do this.

Im pretty sure that this is Alien but I cant see it very clearly.

It would be so fun to have a concept like the Thing come into play in the succession war... I think that it would be a perfect opportunity for horror. I mean we already have Prince Tserriednich’s first Nen beast. I’m so excited.

And there he is. Gah I love the framing of this panel. You can see everybody’s face but Hisoka’s, and he’s split in the middle with all the white space of the theater. It gives an ominous feeling specifically towards Hisoka.

Just an aside here, too, the way Hisokas hair is styled and the way his eyes are drawn looks similar to Chrollo’s the last time we saw him, which is interesting to me. The resemblance isn’t too strong, but It’s interesting to think about.

The way that he just sits down in this panel and immediately starts talking is so funny to me just change the text to anything.

ANYWAYS thats unrelated. I really like this scene. I get the impression that Hisoka is above it all, and just deciding to comply with what Xi-Yu and Cha-R wants without any true dedication, and I feel like Hinrigh is aware of this because he knows exactly the type of person Hisoka is, so he’s being honest.

I’m also beginning to really like Hinrigh as well because of his intuition, understanding, and efficiency. No wonder he’s the underboss. Knowing and dealing with the type of freak Hisoka is is no small feat.

Hes trying to mess with him by getting close but Hinrigh is just like ‘Ok.’

This was an awesome interaction though tbh. I want to see more conversations between them since its an interesting dynamic. Hinrigh isn’t directly against Hisoka, which is seen in his disinterest in getting in the way of his and the spiders quarrel, so they agree over that, but he has to keep him under surveillance due to the situation. Everything about Hisoka goes against this, however. He is going to defy this without question, and I am certain Hinrigh knows this, so what does he have in mind to stop him?

these must be more references. the girl choking the other one seems familiar but i dont know about the others and I dont know what that one is from.

The other part isnt super interesting to me, so I’ll leave it for me to delve back into on another read. I often understand things better on the second time anyways.

.......................... I HAVE NO WORDS. NONE AT ALL CAN EVEN.. I CANT >... I GENUINELY CANT TELL IF THIS IS INTENDED TO BE FUNNY OR SCARY BUT OH MY GOD I HELP ME

THIS DOESNT MAKE IT ANY EASIER TO TELL SERIOUSLY IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE COMEDIC OR SERIOUS...

Gosh, these page layouts are great, the shading of the bed on the second one I am enjoying thoroughly, and again with the middle focus and the front and back look at the room... aaahhhhhhghhgg anyways.

WHY ARE HINRIGH AND THE OTHER GUY SO TALL (I forgot his name uh oh). It’s either that or the cabins are very small, which is probably the case.

Its funny, this page layout is a little unnerving, and then you just see how short the doorway is ...

Final thoughts on the chapter, Hinrigh is so cool, and this guy definitely is hiding something. I think he’s not a threat himself, but rather is innocent and is being forced to cover something for somebody who is a threat.

A little later than I wanted to post my review but its okay. I’m looking forward to the next one, since honestly I don’t know what it’s going to throw at me. Often times it proves my predictions wrong, but thats okay, it’s fun to think about more.

It’s nice to know people actually read these too, it’s relieving to write these down to get all of my thoughts out, and I feel happy when other people actually acknowledge them even though theyre often just rambles of things off the top of my head when I read these things lol.

I plan to read and review all of the chapters (if i can)!!

hxh chapter 392

This chapter is a little crazy I have SOME WORDS ON IT!!!

Obviously spoilers !

Alright so it starts out normal and continuing from the last chapter, a little confusing cause the guy is still alive.

People thought that the Misha person was the cat apparently, but no, Hinrigh sadly did not name the little guy... but... we did get THIS

HI MISHA?!?!?!?

This ability is pretty sick and cool and awesome if i do say so myself, and I love the name. It also carries on from her original life because she was a cleaner, and her dedication for the Xi-Yu family must have been pretty strong if she developed this.

I cant wait to see more uses of this ability later on.

Speaking of Xi-Yu, I was NOT AT ALL PREPARED FOR THE NEXT PART.

We get back to Lynch and Zakuro who are punching these poor people above 6′2 and then once they start to doubt their tactics... GUESS WHO SHOWS UP.

I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS AT ALL!? The fact that he has the audacity to dress in a similar fashion to how he did before says a lot. He is definitely waiting for the Phantom Troupe to come and find him, and is most likely not interested in any of the families associates at the moment.

My heart dropped when I saw this scene and I could feel Zakuros fear. He’s obviously grown considerably stronger if his very presence is intimidating.

I really love the depth into post mortem nen in this arc. It’s been a pretty reoccurring thing over all. Iirc the first callback is the fact that the seed urn ceremony was a product of an ancestors post mortem nen, then we have the highlight on the meteor city elders post mortem nen (sun and moon), then obviously here we have hisoka, then we have camilla and the curses AND also kachos nen beast, and NOW we have Misha!! whew. There’s probably more that I haven’t listed... I feel like post mortem nen will be even more important later. (especially with Kurapika really pushing his lifespan)

Im begging for him not to kill them PLEASSEEEEE DONT KILL ZAKURO AND LYCNH. PLEASE.

Also I’m just thinking though. Hisoka is building up to be an unbelievably strong character. At this point after death, I think he has become stronger than all of the troupe members, so that’s trouble when they are the ones wanting to kill Hisoka a lot, and when he is going to kill them on sight. I think thats why he made his desicion, to really test his strength with his post mortem nen... if he thinks hes that strong, he very well may be.

And I’m just thinking. Who else is unreasonably and inhumanely strong that really no other character (probably other than the chimera ants lol) could compare to?

Tserriednich, of course. We have to tie the threads somehow, don’t we?

I believe that if Hisoka even lays his eyes on that man he will have a new target. His whole power scaling thing will be out of the roof.

You could also say Ging, but first of all, he’s completely occupied with another endeavor, so I doubt he would be very interested in fighting anybody, and second of all, if he is going to fight somebody, he most likely wouldn’t be interested in fighting somebody like Hisoka. Unlike Chrollo, he would not let him have his way and let him fight him. He’s already getting under Pariston’s skin by doing a similar thing by getting in his way.

Tserriednich is much different... he’s... interesting for sure, and would probably find Hisoka very intriguing (specimen worthy).

Anyways, Moving on we have even more people looking for Hisoka. I wonder what they’ll do once they realize that Xi-Yu was the first to find him, whether they still have him by the next time we see them. (please let lynch and zakuro live please let lycnh and zakuro live plea-) I wasn’t very interested in that though.

We’re back to Phinks, Feitan, and Nobunaga! It looks like theyve established a back and forth bond of some sort with Cha-R, so the last thing they want to do is kill them, and a search party went out.

Also fun fact I guess, Franklin is probably claustrophobic. I love how we just get these random facts like we didn’t need to know that Shizuku is left handed and that she forgets everything but we do.

They know of Luini and I really dont think they like him lol.

Luini is a super fan and I think Togashi was trying to do commentary on toxic fans/parasocial relationships with him which is interesting but im sorry this is just so funny.

“THE WIKI PAGE” THE WIKI PAGE???????????????????? THIS ISN’T AN OFFICIAL TRANSLATION BUT STILL.

Does this mean what I think it means, that the hunterpedia wiki exists IN CANON?

Most likely not the actual wiki but like still. This implies that there’s like forums talking about characters that we know about, and there’s probably some community of people who fans over and romanticizes the troupe in that world like we have here now for serial killers... oh boy. That means that those Chrollo stans are real. Thanks Luini. I really didnt want to think about that but thanks Luini.

I’m gonna try to get that imagination out of my head. Anyways, I loved this chapter, it was awesome as always and so are you.

I was listening to Amygdalas Ragdoll and I was like holy crap its Retz from the Hunter x Hunter movie The Phantom Rouge.

I feel like the only good things that the movies gave me were Kurapikas backstory & Pairo, Retz, and just how freaking ridiculous they were.

In the second movie I think it would make more sense if like. The whole power system thing that was introduced which I think was called On would be this guy Jets Nen ability and he was just crazy enough that it made everybody think it was its own power system. Part of the Nen ability would be able to let others sign a Nen contract to obtain the same power that he has.

Anyways The Phantom Rouge is a lot better than The Last Mission in my opinion.

I freaking love Retz she has such wasted potential and I hate how much hate i’ve seen for him. I think its bc of shipping wars and urrrr uuurrgghhh errrrrr no. I don’t ship Retz with anybody and I don’t think I need to. Just shut the up and let Killua and Gon and Retz be friends!!!!

It was really annoying but also really funny how Killua was so freaking pissy about Retz like. “Oh you’re standing up for yourself?? Oh?? Oh? Wel” 💥💥💥

I really like how Retz stood up for himself though instead of just having Gon doing it for her. It just shows that she's even more of an awesome character.

IM SO MAD THAT THEY KILLED HER OFF THOUGH but at least the fire scene was epic. The whole thing about Retz being a doll or whatever too was cool and also I wish that they did more with Omokage and Retz’s relationship as siblings.

That’s another interesting thing that Killua and Retz could have gotten along over. Obviously Retz would probably be more open about talking abt his brother and Killua err... Yea I don’t think he would be very eager to talk about Illumi lol.

Omokage also could have been an awesome character but im sorry... HES SO FREAKING EDGY THAT I CANT. WHAT IS HIS CHARACTER DESIGN.

He looks like a Wizard 101 boss im not even lying...

I want a better interpretation of his character. The ex-phantom troupe member is a cool concept and oh my god. The nen ability concept is great too. I love how creepy it is with the puppets and the eyes, but it could use some working out. I forgot how it worked, but the fact that he used the phantom troupe and Pairo was bizzare.

His personality from what I remember is interesting too. He seems to want to protect Retz and have her be happy but he really is not doing a good job at that. Given that he uses people and puppets in his nen ability, and the fact that he is an ex-phantom troupe member obviously makes him cold-hearted.

What about their parents too?? ahh I have to watch this movie again.

I think that his character was this way because it was in the movie, which is made of Non canon material, and these characters were only gonna exist in this like 90 minute movie so they weren’t going to be as deep or as memorable as the main characters or anybody in the main series. Retz did stick with me, though.

I honestly dont know what to call this au specificaly but I may be insane anwyays!

I finished gon and kallutos dream world faces and made a neutral one for kurapika

I dont even know what Im going to do with these. You would think modding the game to make this au would be the point of making all this but first of all i have neither the experience, knowledge, or probably computer even the resources to mod a game, and I don’t even know if I want to take this project that far, I’m just having fun!

I decided that I wanted to make the real world characters as seen here

but it’s the hxh au... and well... I did it, so

I made it so much more complicated than the original looks, but im so proud of it anyways... I may make a dream world one, too... but not now lol.

I really love kallutos design i am so proud of the paper star and ughghghhg they just looks so good.

Alluka looks a little like a horse girl but thats ok!!!

Kurapika is meant to look mad and I am living grgrgrgrgr

Also I love how everybody else has like unique designs influenced by how this is in an au, but killua and leorio are just there wearing clothes that they usually would lol.

I have transparent versions, so if you have use for them, use them i guess as long as you credit me!!

This took me so long to make i love them anyways

NEW CHAPTER

new chapter alert

I am.. I cant EVEN OH MY GOD ANYWAYS

If you dont even want to hear or see anything of the new chapter i dont reccomend looking as I’m gonna talk about some things during this chapter, things that could happen after this chapter and things from clash pt 1 (ch 390).

But anyways...

This was probably my favorite part. Lynch and Zakuro have such a good dynamic im crying I cant have yet another duo in my head but yet here they are.

Seeing them again in general in a new chapter was just magical in and of itself. like dude. THEYRE BACK . AND ITS REAL AND WOW...

“HOW CAN I GET IT TO DIE?” I LOVE LYNCH SO MUCH HELP SHE IS JUST SO BLUNT AND AND ANWYAYS.

I also love the introduction to another aspect of Zakuros ability and just the sheer amount of personality both of them have been given in the short amount of time they’ve been introduced.

And like how does Zakuro know who Hisoka is? Do they even know??? I’m guessing that their funky little blood pellets won’t find Hisoka, but will instead find a phantom troupe member.

Give me a minute to see where everybody was the last time Togashi showed the map. (I’m hoping they’ll find machi bc... machi fan reasons)

Theyre all on teir 3 (Zakuro, Lynch, Hinrigh) in a food/shopping court, then Zakuro and Lynch go into a hallway somewhere, but other than that I dont know.

Ok, so if Machi stays in teirs 4/5, then it’s unlikely that she’ll come across Zakuro and Lynch.

I think there could be 3 things that could happen:

1. They may run into more Heil-Ly associates such as Luini or Cashew, but Hinrigh is already kind of dealing with those people.

Maybe Hinrigh will run into Luini and Zakuro and Lynch will run into Cashew or vice versa. Depending on how their ability works and the descriptions they were given, Zakuros ability could very well mistake somebody else for being Hisoka, as they’re just looking for anybody ‘suspicious’.

2. It would be interesting to see if the Illumi = Hisoka theory could come into play. Zakuro and Lynch are hunting down Hisoka, but what if they run into Illumi instead because Zakuros ability spotted him and recognized him as being Hisoka... Though I think Mizai and Botobai intervined this in previous chapters. The lockdown was lifted, so there’s a possibility that Kalluto and Illumi could have been released, but iirc we haven’t gone back to their perspective since.

3. Chrollo, Bonolenov, and Shizuku are at the bottom of the fourth teir, but aside from Illumi and Kalluto, they are the closest members of the troupe. Since they’re both hunting down Hisoka, a matter of things could happen. I doubt that they would want to team up, and instead, I feel like tensions would be made, as the troupe’s (specifically Chrollo’s) interaction with the Cha-R group (I think) at the dining hall wasn’t very amicable, and the associates even noted that they were trouble. Chrollo seems to REALLY want to be the one to kill Hisoka as well, so I can imagine he would have mixed feelings on two people he has no idea about looking for him, and possibly looking to kill him before he does.

Any way it goes, I can’t wait for the loose threads in the storyline to be actually tied.

Anyways, enough of going into that part of the chapter, I want to talk about Hinrigh’s ability now.

At first, tbh I didn’t think that I would be very invested in Hinrigh, but this chapter saved my opinion because like.

HIS ABILITY IS SO FREAKING GOOFY LIKE. HE JUST MAKES A CAMERA INTO A CAT AND THEN PUTS ‘EM ON “RECORD MODE”. It’s so silly but in all seriousness what an amazing ability. It’s so convenient, and the fact that he can make full on animals out of everyday animals is pretty astonishing. Imagine the type of training and how much of it you’d have to do to master that ability.

+ The cat is so scrunkly i love it so much I would die for the RECORD MODE cat. It reminds me of those videos on youtube where the people put the cameras on the cats collar. I wonder if that was the inspiration for this, because a cat isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of recording or having another pair of eyes or whatever, and I wouldn’t put it past Togashi. Our man full on made an ability (Silent Majority) out of a song name, and put in facts about the weight of bowling balls just because he likes to watch bowling.

MEOW... BIP

I also like to think that he just makes companions for when he’s alone on the job. Like he makes a dog out of a machine gun and bonds with it and if somebody tries to attack him because they think he’s distracted he’s like “aha!!!” and shoots them with his machine gun dog.

I cant wait to see the next chapters, even though I doubt they’ll be for free on viz, I’ll find another way to see them. I’m so excited to be experiencing the comeback of my favorite series!

Hello omori and hxh fans

[ Spoilers for omori later on ]

Hi!!!1! I just decided to make a bunch of hxh x omori sprites for my funny little fusion au idea because I really like hxh and omori both

so here are the sillies

His name is KIRA. I might change it later on but for now it’ll be KIRA since i couldnt rlly decide on another one.

Alluka!111ww1weeewe ue she is like the best ever in here. She’s mostly like DW Aubrey and a bit of Kel as well

I don’t know what to do with nanika but I may put her in there somewhere. I don’t want to make her scary/bad in the story because shes not

I havent made neutrals for leorio/kurapika yet but here !!! I made it for a little interaction. I decided that since in omori theres not much of an age difference, that kurapika will be 14 in the past and leorio will be 16, and later obv 18 and 20.

Alluka is still 11 and Kalluto is still 10 though, as well as killua and gon being both 12 in the past (14, 15, 16, 16, 18, and 20)

I made the text boxes and stuff with my art and this excellent dialogue generator it was very fun.

I havent made gon or kallutos dw sprites yet but...

[ Major omori spoilers & tw for death/suicide ]

ok so here we get into the nitty gritty of the story, so if youve played/watched a playthrough of omori you know what im talking abt...

so in the story, sunny accidentally kills mari and basil watches. If you didnt already guess, Killua is supposed to be sunny, Gon would be mari, and basil will be kalluto.

Killua moved in with gon a month prior because he was old enough and his home situation obviously isnt the best (a lot of trauma with his parents and illumi which in the hikikomori route would go much in depth to) and since they lived together more they got into more fights.

One day, Kalluto was over and Killua and Gon got in a big argument. Kalluto was speechless and they wanted to interfere but couldn’t as they saw their brothers face. Killua was getting really agitated and pushed Gon down the stairs accidcentally.

Idk what the argument will be about specifically... I don’t know if i hsould have them do a performance or not like in the actual game. I also dont know what they’ll do with gon after they find out hes.. yk.. dead... but it’ll probably be a staged suicide as well, as that makes the rest of the group feel even more conflicted. Especially Leorio, who thought himself a bigger brother figure to Gon, and Kurapika, who feels guilty about often relying on Gon to comfort him instead of comforting Gon.

The scene....

The last box is more or less a reference to the scene in the truth sequence where there are a bunch of hospital beds and if you interact with them it says “This person is not alive.” or “This person is not breathing.” Ifg but yea.

Speaking of the truth sequence, instead of collecting photos, you collect scraps of ripped paper from a drawing of the truth by kalluto. Instead of taking photos, Kalluto likes to draw/do paper crafts, and instead of a photo album, they have a sketchbook for drawings relating to their friends.

After gon dies, Killua obv isolates like sunny in the game, but Mito is more involved in taking care of him unlike sunnys mom.

I think there will be two somethings, one being the bitterness of gons death and gons spirit being twisted into a sick innocent... thing, and the other being illumi’s... well basically everything illumi told killua about himself, and killua being convinced that it’s true.

Alluka tries to be positive, and is the one to get Killua out of the house, and sticks up for Kalluto when they need it.

Kalluto really wants killua to like them, and is now scared of him and feels like his burden. Theyre often anxious around him and Killua tries to repress any bad memories, so he doesnt interact with Kalluto when they see each other again much at all.

The zoldyck household is not a very good place to be in any case for Kalluto and Alluka. Illumi left, luckily, but their parents were still as harsh (transphobicc...), and often say theyre glad that their friend group seperated. Alluka learned to stand up for herself and Kalluto in this environment because Killua wasn’t there anymore. (Kalluto Basil parallels -- you came back to save me)

Kurapika also isolates but in a different way. He isn’t a hikikomori, and he goes outside a lot, but hes closed off emotionally. He stopped caring about school, so he didn’t even bother looking into college after he graduated. He pretends that he doesnt know his friends, which isnt very successful with Alluka or Leorio, but it really hurts Kalluto. When they try to talk to him, he’s very passive aggressive.

Kurapikas home life isnt great. He was orphaned at 12 years old, and his relationship with his legal guardian, Izunavi, wasn’t too amazing at first, but begrudgingly by the time he turned 14 they got along. Everything reverted when Gon died, however, as he stopped talking to his caretaker as well as his friends.

So hes kind of like real world aubrey in the way that he becomes prickly towards his friends, but he doesnt join a gang.... There would def be a ‘it means everything’ like scene and also a breakdown scene where Kurapika breaks down and apologizes to everybody, especially Kalluto who isnt there if were going like the sunny route plot.

Leorio is at college!!!!! and going to med school obv.. I think he would have always wanted to be a doctor unlike hero, so in dw maybe he would have a SYRINGE AS A WEAPON HELP. But anyways he feels so guilty about gons death like gon was like a little brother to him, and he was so young. So he was definitely depressed like hero was/is. Alluka consistently visited him (and tried to visit kurapika and killua to no avail) before he left for college, and she helped him become less depressed. He wants his friends to be happy again and will do anything to make sure nothing happens to any of them.

He notices especially how different Killua, Kurapika, and partially Kalluto are, and he is the one that really helps Kurapika open up after everything thats happened. He’s not sure how to talk to Kalluto and Killua about it as much, though.

...instead of garden sheers, kalluto has scissors...
