Diego

Diego’s actually surprised by all the things his s/o is doing for him. He certainly did not tell them to clean and saddle his horse before he got home, and he can’t recall asking them to prepare something to eat for him, nor to tidy up his things again. Nonetheless he accepts these gestures from them, although he wonders if his s/o has an ulterior motive behind doing all these things. He does appreciate these gestures deep down, though he would never say so.

He isn’t totally against his s/o showing some affection in public. After all, whenever he wins a race the women and girls are all over him anyway, so he can handle his s/o pressing a quick peck to his cheek or holding onto his arm while walking. He’d rather keep hugs or real kisses private though since he doesn’t want the public to see a side of him that could be considered vulnerable.

When in private, however, he allows his s/o to do a lot more. Aside from them doing pretty much anything for him, his s/o also seems to love sharing physical affection. It may take some time for Diego to warm up to the idea of letting them so close, but he eventually starts to relax when they hug him, massage his scalp (because oh god, he loves that) or just be near to him.

After some time though, even he starts to realize that all this is pretty one-sided. While he certainly thinks he deserves being spoiled by them, and that he enjoys their affection, he thinks he should express his gratitude in some way at least. After all he does care for them, opening up to them (or anyone in general) is, or was, just against his ways.

So the next time he catches them after saddling his horse for him, he mounts it but offers his hand for them to join him this time, with the full intent of him opening up a bit later on. However, the expression on his s/o’s face is full of surprise and somewhat utter disbelief as they stare at his hand. Only after Diego raises one eyebrow in irritation, do they accept the offer, climbing on to sit behind him. Once they hesitantly put their arms around his waist and hide their face in his back, does he realize just how much they’re shaking and heating up. He can’t stop the smirk appearing on his face though, and he doesn’t even try to.

“Seriously, you’re sharing affection any chance you get but once someone returns the favor you get flustered?!” He asks, quickly getting his answer when his s/o presses their face even closer into his back.

Jonathan

Jonathan is the kind of guy who wants to return the favor each time his s/o shows him any form of affection. After all, what kind of gentleman would he be if he were to just take all that his s/o does for him, without ever paying them?

Of course, Jonathan appreciates it all so much and he tries to convey this to but he also feels a bit guilty because he feels just hugging them back, kissing them or saying some nice words are hardly enough to pay them back for all they do for him.

So, one day his s/o comes home and sees Jonathan standing in the kitchen and trying to cook something for them. Jonathan barely knows how to cook since back in the mansion, he had cooks who prepared meals for him and, even now, most of the cooking is done by his partner. Though, that doesn’t mean Jonathan hasn’t watched them when they cook, or that he isn’t trying his best to figure out what he’s doing wrong. He knows that a home cooked meal is still the best type of dish, at least for Jonathan it is, so maybe his s/o would like it too, even if he can’t shine with his skills in the kitchen.

His s/o just stands there, watching as Jonathan handles the pot and stove, before he finally notices and slowly turns around, smiling warmly at them. His s/o presses their hands against their face as they feel the heat rising in their cheeks, a little noise escaping their throat as they quickly move forward to hug him. Arms wrapped around his middle, their face hidden in his chest and murmuring in a flustered whisper that this isn’t necessary, that there’s no need for him to do that.

Jonathan just smiles, presses a kiss to the top of their head and tells them that a gentleman like him has to treat his lady right, and he’d like to start by making dinner for them.
