Identity

I've struggled for a long time to feel legitimate claiming space in the queer-o-sphere; I pass as cis-het, and there's not a flag yet that accurately represents my particular patterns of gender expression and attraction. But I finally figured something out, and I wanted to share it here, because I think it's the closest I've come in a long time to stating something unequivocally true about myself: More than I am queer-coded, I am Kermit-coded. I identify with that calm, loving, wry, frank, kind center of the Muppetverse, the eye of a particularly fuzzy hurricane of zany chaos: Kermit the Frog.

South downs it is! I know it doesn't look too South Downs-y at the moment but it will once I'm done with it. I have so many ideas 🙂

I found this on marketplace the other day. I have two ideas for it and I can’t decide which way to go. I could either turn it into an outdoor South Downs cottage scene. I was thinking that I could get a Lego baseplate or something similar so I could extend it and make a garden and pond with ducks and maybe a wishing well or little bridge etc. Alternatively, I could turn it into Anathema’s cottage. The figure that came with it could easily be transformed into Anathema. I hope one day I might find another one so I can do both. But in the meantime…

I finished them! Well I mean, unless I decide to put more books in. I feel like I shouldn’t overcrowd things but… boooooks. I wish the scene was bigger. I want to do an outdoor scene too but I can’t find an appropriate Pop “moments” that would work with it and I can’t decide if it would be cheating to start one from scratch. Also lazy. Also ADHD. Also not allowed to buy new things to work on until I get this Etsy nonsense sorted. My best friend has posted some of my stuff on her son’s shop but I have done zero marketing of it. Oh well. I can’t remember the name of his shop off the top of my head. I will post it later.

The coffee table from the South Downs cottage scene I'm making. I might put a plant or some flowers on it. I don't know. I don't want it to look too crowded. I think it's cute so far. I'm so excited, my boy gets home tomorrow! He sent me a photo of a hell themed burger restaurant he went to today called Burgertory. They have all the fun stuff in Melbourne. Sometimes I wish we never moved up here. Most times. I miss Melbourne, it will always be home. Anyhow, it's been fun spending time alone with the other child but it will be nice to be the three of us again. Plus I get to unload all my fandom gossip on my boy because the other child won't listen to my nonsense. I had a migraine yesterday. It's mostly gone now but whenever I get one my right eye swells up and tears like I am crying for the next few days. I kind of feel like gouging my eyeball out right about now. Eh, but it's almost midnight so I should just go to bed. I still have a migraine hangover so I might even be able to sleep.
