Zoya might not be a soft or nice person but she's still such a good person. She is upset with Nikolai for sending Nina away & putting her life in danger which makes Nikolai ask if she'll ever forgive him for that, she gave dima an extra coin after just spending a few seconds with him and asked him not to share it with his siblings because she saw them bullying him earlier, after she rescued Nikolai she purposefully kept her voice brusque while buttoning his shirt because she knew Nikolai would hate to be pitied, she leaves the lamp burning in Nikolai's room after chaining him up possibly because she knows Nikolai wants a little light but would never ask, she visited Alina to gift her a kefta to remind her she's still one of them even if she has lost all her powers, she doesn't believe in saints but loves when people worship sankta Alina and is ready to defend her when someone dares to insult to her, she still remembers and mourns harshaw and all the people they lost during the war, she was fine with dying as long as she saved Nikolai, she is always ready to risk her life for her country and people, she got attached to juris during a small period of time and was heartbroken when he "died". There are also little things like, hugging genya and almost crying after seeing tears in her eyes and using twin axes because she missed Tamar. The things Zoya has been through might have turned her into cruel, harsh and ruthless person (rightfully so) but she is still a good person with a big heart who loves & cares a lot about people and I absolutely love that.
