You were wandering around Eridia, glancing around and trying to capture a better view of the run down city. Overall the city was beautiful but it lacked quite a few things.

Ais walked next to you, sneaking glances every now and then. Smiling to himself seeing how your expression changed into excitement.

Since your first meeting you and Ais had grown per say

“Are you going to help me?”

Since then, Ais and you hung around each other, almost like lovers. People would often mistake Ais as your partner as he teased you too much in front of public.

His crimson eyes turned over towards the wastelands. His eyes focused on a single soulless standing alone.

You turned back to face him, only then following his line of view to the wasteland. You felt yourself tense slightly.

You didn’t have fond memories of that place, but it’s where Ais spent a good amount of time, if not by your side. Spotting the same Soulless you looked back at Ais.

“Wanna go see if it’s friendly?” Ais looked down to you and smirked. “You want to go near a soulless? After what happened the other night?”

He was referring to the night you had met Mhin. They were odd but they had saved you from a soulless that had been hunting you.

“Why not, if anything maybe my curse can hurt them.” You said trying to sound confident. Ais only chuckled and walked ahead.

“Alright then, but I’m not saving your ass if you get hurt.” His placed his arms around the back of his neck and shrugged.

Running to catch up to him you huffed in annoyance. “Yeah sure mr. tough guy.”

He snickered, letting you take the lead. His eyes softened at your view

He may be an asshole at times, but Ais would never let anything hurt you. You were more then just another soul on this god forsaken planet

You were the reason he started to smile more. His whole reason to listen.

Xiao x Reader

“You like flowers…right?”

Xiao was never fond of humans, rather he ignored them and stayed in his lane as did they.

Though it wasn’t until an unusual night that he came face to face with you. You were taking a night walk around Wangshu Inn.

He watched you from the top of the Inn, curiously you look up at the moon in the sky.

You sat down on one of the rocks surrounding the building. Looking over the fields and picking one of the sweet flowers.

Xiao didn’t bother moving. You hummed a small melody to yourself and closed your eyes smelling the flower. He scoffed and closed his eyes, standing from the roof he landed onto the floor beneath him.

He walked into his little attic room, preferring to go to sleep instead. On the other hand you smiled and put the flower in a pocket and walking further into the cliffs.

You found a couple more flowers such as Silk flowers, and came across a couple of Glaze Lilies, but you didn’t dare pick those.

During your travels throughout Teyvat you had come across so many beautiful species of flowers, by far though none had come to the beauty of the Glaze Lilies.

Cecilia’s in Mondstadt certainly had there beauty but they couldn’t really compare. You headed back to the Inn, entering your room and going to sleep.

This routine started again the next day. Xiao after getting finished with his tasks throughout Liyue returned to the Inn and managed to catch you again smelling and looking at the flowers.

He smiled slightly gawking at your human curiosity. He noticed you picked quiet the selection, but it seemed Sweet Flowers were a popular option. Maybe because they grew quite literally everywhere.

As he drifted off in thought a scream brought him back. He looked over at you seeing a couple of abyss mages and hilichurles coming towards.

You had your vision but it was only recent and you hadn’t had enough training to use it properly. Xiao lept off the roof landing in front of you.

Your eyes widened as his mask reflected off the glow of the moon. Just as quickly as he arrived he finished off the threat and he kneeled down. Catching his breath he looked at you over his shoulder.

“Return to the Inn, human.”

You nodded and ran towards the inn but stopped in your tracks looking back at the adeptus that had saved you.

“Thank you.” You said. Before running back.

Xiao only huffed and stood up, taking off his mask his eyes landed on the bag that was left behind. ‘What’s this?’ He wondered picking up the bag and looking through the contents.

A book and a couple of flowers in a sealed bag. He figured this had to be yours, he’d return it to you in the morning.

The morning after, you panicked not being able to find your bag. Running outside you traced back your steps, you were looking over some flowers, you were ambushed, the adeptus saved you, you thanked him and ran back…wait.

That was it. During the fighting, when you fell your bag must off fallen off. You looked around the area but you didn’t see anything that looked like yours.

You returned to the Inn and sat down outside on the tables. You felt someone come up behind you.

Xiao was oblivious to this but in the human world if you walk up to someone with flowers and a bag well cleaned it meant something other then the most of the time kind gesture.

A couple of people watched at the handsome adeptus approached you, but you were unaware. He coughed slightly and tapped your shoulder.

“Hey, uhm you dropped this yesterday…” he said trying to find the right words to say to you.

You eyes landed on the bag in his hand your eyes gleamed as you reached for it.

“Oh, thank you!! I was looking for this!!” You said smiling brightly. Xiao nodded a slight blush on his face.

“You like flowers..right?” He said holding a couple of Quingxin flowers and one or two Glaze Lilies. You blushed and nodded, looking over the selection.

He handed them to you and you accepted them smiling at him. He huffed and turned away. “Don’t lose that bag next time, I won’t be as generous as today.”

He said trying to keep up his tough act. Looking at the man you really noticed how beautiful he was, his hair a greenish color while the markings on his arms made him look really tough.

You smiled and nodded. “ I won’t, thank you.”

He looked back at you, only to get a kiss on his cheek as you walked back inside. The people watching awed at the interaction and Xiao’s face flushed into deeper shades of red.

‘Dumb human…don’t make me feel…whatever this is.’ He grumbled, trying to calm down the butterflies in his stomach walking off to finish his tasks.

Aether x Ethereal!Reader

- Warning: this story will be using female pronouns and will be slightly suggestive but nothing further -

As current reigning monarch of the Celestial Heavens you were constantly placed in a pedestal, to be an example, a role model to those below you.

Overall it was annoying and it bothered you to an extreme.

As a ruling Goddess of Teyvet, you watched over all 7 nations, along with their Archons. It wasn’t until about a few months ago that you started recovering strange visions and predicaments from Mondstadt city of freedom and ruled by no god.

Although it was founded by Barbatos- to where ever the hell he had gone to. It was now your task to look into what the commotion was about and to put in end to it.

You arrived at Mondstadt smiling brightly, you may be Queen of Celestia but Mondstadt still had it’s inviting warming welcome. Walking in you smelled the food from Sara’s stand up higher in the city. The flowers that bloomed very beautiful in the flower shop. You recalled all your previous moments in Mondstadt and smiled widely.

You walked towards the Knight of Favonious headquarters to meet with The acting grand master Jean.

The guards by the headquarters doors immediately bowed in your presence and opened then doors. “Your majesty! Come in, but please be aware Acting Grand Master Jean is currently in a meeting with the traveller.” You curiously gazed at the man bowing in front of you and smiled slightly.

“I’ll keep that in mind thank you.” You said walking towards Jean’s door. A few voices rang from the interior room.

You waited before knocking until the door swung open to reveal a tad shorter then you male with long braided blonde hair. “Oh-“ He gasped coming face to face with you. You smiled at him and looked behind him to see Jean looking at you with a curious glance.

“Ah Your Majesty!” She gasped bowing slightly and motioning for you to enter. “Yes uhm, Traveller this is the Crowned Rular of Celestia Queen (Y/n).” Jean presented your title a hint of awe in her voice.

The Traveller looked at you and smiled bowing his head. “It’s a pleasure to meet you then your majesty.” A mascot? Tiny person?Floating beside the Traveller caught your attention. She smiled brightly at you and you smiled back.

"Pleasure to meet you as well? uh?"

"Ah Paimon's name is Paimon, and this is traveller." She motioned to the blonde man as he raised his head back up. "Traveller hm? I must speak with Jean for a moment if you don't mind." You faced away and closed your eyes.

The traveller backed away and stood in a corner (lol) as he kept quiet. "Jean it's a pleasure to see you again, how has everything been." You asked slightly hugging Jean and pulling away. "It's been okay, even better since the traveller arrived anyhow."

You raised your eyebrows in curiosity. "Really?" Jean nodded and smiled. "You remember Lord Barbatos's other 4 wind spirits. Specifally Devalin?" Nodding you sighed in rememberance of your good friend.

"When Barbatos disappeared Devalin went nuts, and he attacked Mondstadt but then Traveller here showed up and he helped us defeat him. We owe him a lot."

You heard the Traveller sigh but kept your focus on Jean. "So other then that on our part, why is it your here your majesty?"

"Well as you know, since Mondstadt is ruled by no Archon in particular, I must watch over it will a greater importance then the other nations. As of late I have been recieving strange visions of a man very similar to-"

Pausing in your tracks you looked back to the traveller and noticed the similarity to the man in your visions.

“You-“ you stuttered, pausing in awareness. Grabbing his hand quickly you dragged him out of Jean’s Office. The door closes before Paimon could escape after you both. Standing now outside of doors in the main corridor, you made him face you, he wore a suprised expression and at a loss for better judgement.

“Me?” He said staring at you very confused. “Uh is something the matter miss?”

You squinted at him, taking in his features. “Yes, yo-you are the guy from my visions.” You said holding his shoulders a bit tighter. “C-could you let me go?”

He said stuttering. “Hm? Oh I’m sorry!” You said letting him go and letting him breath properly. “So miss, what do you mean you’ve seen me?” He said looking very puzzled.

“Well I know for sure you’re new here, but I maintain the balance in Mondstadt since a certain someone can’t bother to be sober once in awhile.”

The traveller knew who you meant and chuckled a bit. “Yeah he can be a real pain in the ass sometimes” you both laughed. “Okay but I’ll be honest here, you have been quite the object of everyone’s eye huh?”

The traveller shrugged his shoulders. “I suppose, but I don’t see why? I am but a traveller.” He said looking at the ground. “Looking for my sister.” The last being said in a quiet tone.

“Sorry what was that?” You asked, but he insisted he didn’t say anything. “Anywho I just needed to figure out what was the cause and now I do, so it was a pleasure to meet you traveller.”

You bowed your head in respect and he did the same. “I’ll be taking my leave now, hopefully we can meet sometime in the future.” You said already walking towards the door.

The traveller grabbed your hand and you felt a strange sensation. A vision flashed in your eyes.

A everlasting field surrounded you and him, the sky was a beautiful violet sky the stars illuminating all the light could touch, he was facing you a flower in hand and a glow in his eyes.

His sword sheathed into the ground and his hand on his chest, wearing his usual attire he looked even more beautiful then he had ever.

This was more then a vision, this was a future, made possible if you let it be.

Maybe it can happen.

Will you let it happen?

You were brought back as his hand stopped touching yours. “Are you okay?” He asked concern growing within him. “Ah- I’m fine…” you said not really sure yourself.

“Oh maybe I should explain myself. I wanted to tell you my name….my Real name.” He said.

Aether and you were travellers together, almost like siblings in a way. Though you wouldn't say you guys were siblings since many feelings floating in the air at times.

Spring was apon Teyvet, you and Aether decided to head down to Liyue to enjoy some scenery and visit an old friend. Passing by Wangshu Inn you looked around at the area laughing at the man still stuck on the rock.

You recall the day you had even encountered the poor guy.

"Aether look I found another chest" *woof* "Hm?"

Looking down you saw the most adorable looking creature. *woof woof* Smiliing widely you tackled the poor dog into the ground. "You're so cute!!" he licked your face and pranced around you wiht a doggy grin.

Aether found this adorable and took a picture with the kamera (unknown to you) smiling at his new addition to his collection. He helped you up as a voice called out from above.

You and Aether turned to see a man standing on a rock just watching in horror at the two of you. "Don't you see that creature!? How can you pet it?!" He cried.

Holding back a laugh you just asked him to come down but he wouldn't budge.

Seems even now he still refuses to come down. Aether only sighed chuckling to himself. It was getting late, and you two knew you would be getting to Liyue soon, after your short visit in Mondstadt you had set off at early dawn, but you and Aether were a little less then serious today.

Finally Rex Lapiz's statue stood proud and tall in view, this meant Liyue couldn't be far from now. Walking a bit further you reached the stone arch and took in the view of Liyue Harbor.

Aether headed down, you tailing behind him. "Hey are we gonna rest first before we go see Zhongli?" You asked your voice hoarse from all the yelling you did earlier.

Aether turned back and nodded. "Yeah, I'm beat too..." He said giving a closed eye sigh. Paimon at the moment was dead quiet too, hopefully asleep wherever she slept.

Renting an Inn you finally unlocked the door after several failed attempted (due to drownsiness) you and Aether giggled at your guys stupidity.

Taking in the room you were in, you noticed it only had one bed. Setting down your bad you coughed slightly and your face went a bit red. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick!" You said leaving the room.

Aether already aware of the reason of your escape only laughed his face turning red aswell. He liked you a lot, but he didn't want his feelings getting in the way of his mission.

He had a sister to find for Archon's Sake, but his feelings for you, they were something he couldn't just turn off. After a few mintues you returned, your heartbeat finally calm.

Opening the door, you caught a glimps of an already sleeping figure on the bed. You smiled, your hearbeat quickening again. He looked so peaceful, he needed that in life.

Peace.

You slid yourself into the bed trying your best not to disturb him. Letting out a deep sigh you closed your eyes and tried to relax, but you felt something move agaisnt you.

Aether stirred in his sleep, his arm going over your waist and pulling you closer to him. Now your back against his chest, while his head was in your neck. He cuddled close to you, as if he were afraid to lose grip of you.

You smiled grabbing ahold of his hand intertwining them and closed your eyes, finally letting sleep consume you with a smile on your face.

Archon!Zhongli x GN!Ethereal!Reader

As the crowned Ruler of the heavens above, you came down to Earth every 100 hundred years. Since your crowning you had been backed up in your visits, to your dear Teyvat, and to a certain Archon.

Initally you about 4,000 years ago you had yet to be crowned, spent a lot of time in Teyvet, more specifally Liyue. When you were mortal Liyue had been your home and after you asencion you still kept Liyue close to your heart.

It was during your asencion that you met the well known, Rex Lapiz. Geo Archon of Liyue, he was a gentleman indeed. He treated you with the upmost respect and always kept you and himself on a level-head.

You both formed a well balanced relationship and every 100 years when you returned, you would spend your days catching up and enjoying each other's company.

It was now 4,000 years later, you placed stack after stack of books into a cart in your office, stretching your arms up letting your eyes roll back as your muscles realived of their tension.

A knock was heard from your door, groaning at the noise you spoke up, "Come in".

A head poked in through the slightly opened door. "Master (Y/n)" a voice nothing more above a whisper called out. "Yes Mary Ann?" You asked smiling at your secretary.

"Master (Y/n) I just wanted to let you know that we recieved a urgent messege from Teyvet concerning Liyue's Archon. “ You stopped in your place and looked over at Mary Ann.

“Oh? Do you know what it might concern?” You asked standing up. “No master but here is the letter.”Mary Ann handed you the letter and bowed while leaving and closing the door respectfully.

You looked over the envelope. It had a strong cinnamon scent but also a pinch of rosemary, it has the Liyue seal so it had to be legit.

Opening the seal you pulled out a golden colored letter, which read:

Dear, Crowned Rular of the Celestina Realm

My name is Ningguang, The Tianquing of the Liyue Qixing. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I along with the rest of the members of the Jade Palace agree

As you May recall Rex Lapiz was a faithful and strong Archin and guided Liyue through many hardships, with yours and his help the Archon war was won and through your guidance did Rex Lapiz become the Archon of not only Geo but of Contracts that has helped push Liyue into a prosperous life.

I am sorry to have to report this to you in this way but Rex Lapiz has passed away, as to the cause it has not yet been determined. If you could come to Liyue some time in the next days we could discuss about what to do regarding his passing.

Your heart felt like it shattered into a million pieces. Rex Lapiz? Dead? No that couldn’t be…he-

You shot up from your desk and ran out of the office, Mary Ann and a few other Celestial members watched you race out of the building into the mortal realm.

“Your majesty!!??” There voices drowned out as you took your mortal form and landed inside of the Jade Palace. There were several people looking at you strangely until their minds clicked and they immediately bowed out of respect.

A voice broke you from your inicial goal. “Crowned Rular (Y/n)? What are you doing here?” Their voice was laced in surprise.

“Lady Ningguang i presume?” You said your eyes landing on the very beautiful woman in front of you. “Yes I am. I must assume your here because of my letter?” Nodding you walked towards her.

“Yes it is. I would like to know more, that is if your allowed to share with the Crowned Rular?” Asking a bit more persistent then you meant Ningguang nodded her head, motioning for you to follow her.

Entering her room you both sat down and started talking about what had happened in recent years. From the arrival of the traveller and the unfortunate passing of Rex Lapiz. After a few hours you thanked Ningguang for her time and you left the Jade Palace.

You walked the streets of Liyue once again but this time by yourself. Without him here Liyue didn’t seem as lively as before.

Walking near a funeral parlor you glanced inside through the window and noticed a peculiar looking man. Out of curiosity you walked in and some of the employees immediately gasped and bowed at your sight.

“Oh Crowned Rular!!” “What brings you here?” “Ms.(Y/n)”

So on and so forth, their exclamations caught the attention of the strange man as he turned around facing you fully did you take in his appearance.

He has black hair that faded to a golden orange, he had a well built body and he was tall, in a way he reminded you of Rex Lapiz…

“Ah…you must be The Crowned Rular (Y/n)?” His voice struck you familiar and it gave you goosebumps. “(Y/n) is fine, if I may what is your name sir?” He smiled slightly bowing his head.

“Zhongli” He mentioned his name while you blushed slightly. “Well Mr.Zhongli it was a pleasure to meet you though it is during unfortunate events that we must say goodbye.”

He looked at you strangely then remember the current news. “Ah yes Rex Lapiz’s death I presume?” Nodding you looked away. “Was he a dear friend?” He falter slightly asking his question.

Nodding once again you sighed deeply. “Yes me and him were good friends a long time ago, but since my crowning I failed to keep visiting, my biggest regret now is not getting to say…goodbye…”

You voice cracked at the end of the sentence but you stayed strong. “I’ll be taking my leave now, it truly was a pleasure to meet you Mr.Zhongli but I’m afraid I must go.”

Zhongli nodded and walked you to the door.

“Thank you, and Goodbye” you said bowing your head slightly as did he. “Goodbye your majesty.” He lifted your hand kissing it lightly and smiling.

‘Again with the blushing’ you mumbled scolding yourself. Walking away you looked up to the sky looking at the moon brightly illuminating the city of Liyue.

As you approached the Jade Palace you heard an extra set of footsteps behind you. Turning around ready to defend yourself you say that it wasn’t just anyone.

“Mr.Zhongli?”

He sighed and approached you. “Sorry Ms.(Y/n) I just didn’t think it would be safe for you to travel alone at this time so I took it upon myself to make sure you made it safely to the Palace.

You smiled lightly and bowed your head. “Thank you, although it would be creepy in a different stance” you said chuckling to yourself a bit.

He smiled and shook his head. “I have no ulterior motives your majesty.” He held out his hand. “Walk with me?” Taking his hand you smiled and you both walked to the docks.

You and Rex Lapiz would come here often, strange he knew where this place was. “I don’t mean to pry but if I may your majesty…what was your relationship with Rex Lapiz?” Zhongli helped you sit down then took his seat next to you.

“Ah, well Rex Lapiz and I were friends when I was still mortal even. He was there for me when I ascended and even then we remained good friends…at some point in time I caught feelings for him but I decided it was best to forget and let them go.”

You looked up and sighed. “Now I regret not saying anything…”

Zhongli grabbed your hand and caressed it.

“You know, you may regret things in your life but you should never let those regrets change who you are or how your life will continue.”

You felt tears prick in your eyes, “You think he could forgive me Zhongli?”

“He already did…”

“How are you so sure?”

“I’m sure because I’m right here”

“…Rex?”
