YOUR 2024 Taurus Season Forecast

Say adios to the me-first mentally and go-go-go-ness of Aries season and get ready to relax. The Sun has entered lax and passive earth sign Taurus. Taurus season, which runs Apr. 19 thru May 20, is a season of pleasure, passivity and tranquility. Which means for the next four or so weeks, you’ll be indulging in any and all activities that get you relaxing and feeling good. (You might also work, but only from time-to-time.) This means less go-go-go-ing and speedily chasing ungettable gets, and more moments of contentment and chill. (Hopefully.)

If you’ve read my ebook on the zodiac sign, then you already know quite a bit about Taurus. Ruled by Venus, the planet of pleasure and security, Taurus is known for its heightened senses and appreciation for all things beautiful, sensuous, and comfortable. However, the fixed earth sign is also notoriously stubborn, methodical, pragmatic, and slow-moving. (Fixed mode = determined; earth element = practical.) One of the main characters in my novel, Jupiter Returns, is a Taurus and she is ALL about that serene, slow-moving, food-and-nature-loving life. And so too might you be the next 30 or so days.

In the Northern hemisphere, Taurus season sits in between the onset of spring and the shift into summer. So, it’s a time of stabilizing, of luxuriating in what nature has only recently seeded. Yes, Taurus loves to grow things and build, but only at a leisurely, methodical, plodding pace. Taurus season is thus about slow-maxing and enjoyment. It’s a time for stopping and smelling the just-budding pear trees and perky yellow daffodils. When do you plant seeds? During Aries season, because you’ve got energy and excitement and So. Many. Ideas. But when do those seeds start to slowly sprout out of the wet topsoil, showing signs of serious growth to come? During Taurus Season.

How are YOU feeling after the Aries Solar Eclipse? As mentioned in my astrology of the week post, the solar eclipse was a particularly potent one because it conjoined Chiron. What I realized in hindsight was that not many astrologers (including myself) talk about Chiron. Sure, we mention the asteroid in passing—and only when it’s making a major move (like the Chiron Cazimi). But Chiron, as I’ve discovered lately, is quite a BIG deal in astrology.

Often referred to as the "Wounded Healer", Chiron plays a significant role in the birth chart and represents a profound area of healing and growth. Its influence is felt most acutely in the house and sign it occupies, as well as any aspects it forms with other planets. While Chiron's presence may initially evoke discomfort or pain, it ultimately serves as a catalyst for profound self-awareness and transformation. Here's what you need to know about Chiron in astrology and its implications in the birth chart:

The Myths & Symbolism of Chiron

In astrology, asteroids are celestial bodies that orbit the Sun, much like planets. However, they are much smaller in size compared to planets and are often referred to as minor planets or planetoids. While the planets in astrology represent various aspects of human experience and personality traits, asteroids add depth and nuance to astrological interpretations by focusing on specific themes or archetypes. Asteroids are named after characters from mythology, historical figures, or other significant names in various fields. In astrology, a planet is considered to be "cazimi" when it is located very close to the Sun, within a specific degree range. When Chiron is cazimi, it means that it is at its exact degree of conjunction with the Sun, within a few arc minutes. This positioning is significant because it amplifies the influence of Chiron and can intensify its effects on an individual's life.

A Chiron cazimi is thought to symbolize a moment of heightened awareness, insight, and clarity regarding the themes represented by Chiron in the birth chart. YOUR Venus in Aries Horoscope

Ready or not, a romantic reset is on its way: love and pleasure planet Venus is entering passionate Aries. But Venus isn’t so comfortable in Aries—as you’ll soon see starting April 4, when the planet of romance moves through the cardinal fire sign, initiating a livewire love transit that lasts thru April 28. There's plenty of potential for growth and excitement during this transit. Whether you're jazzing up an existing relationship or boldly pursuing your passions, Venus in Aries sets the stage for a very dynamic spring.

Astrologically speaking, Venus is in detriment in Aries. This essentially means the values of the planet and the fiery expression of the sign clash, which can make love feel equally exciting and exhausting. Why? Aries is ruled by Mars, an action-oriented planet that wants to rush, race, and hurry towards chasing / conquering just about anything. Venus doesn’t want to rush, hurry or conquer. Venus wants to slow down, luxuriate, and indulge.

This doesn’t mean you can’t luxuriate or indulge with Venus in Aries; it’s more that your affections, passions, and spending are faster, more hurried and spontaneous. That said, try to keep a watchful eye on your wallet for the next four weeks. Nothing gives Venus in Aries more of a thrill than buying something new (it’s that dopamine rush). With Venus in Aries, you’re direct and spontaneous with your affections, if not a bit gutsy, passionate and a wee impatient. And unlike Venus in Pisces, which pines over yesterday as much as today, you take a forward-thinking approach to love and life relationships. So, the pains of the past matter very little (if at all) during Venus and Aries. Instead, you’re intensely focused on chasing and conquering something—or someone—new.

YOUR 2024 Mars in Pisces Horoscope

Recently, water sign Pisces has been making waves. I mean, there was the Neptune cazimi in Pisces, which was preceded by Venus in Pisces, and before that was the Saturn cazimi, Mercury in Pisces, and Pisces season… Well, guess what? Another planet is joining the Pisces party. On March 22, Mars enters dreamy, passive and sleep-loving Pisces, where it will remain until April 30.

In case you were wondering, Mars is the planet of action, energy, motivation, competition, self-assertion and goals. Mars is fire, heat, action, and your ego. But in Pisces, the ultimate water sign of passivity and pacifism, Mars’s motivation gets drenched in emotions, dreams, intuitive hunches, humanitarian ideals, and compassion. Pisces is the sign of selflessness. Pisces aims for the dissolution of the ego. You see where I’m going here? Mars in Pisces isn’t motivated by the typical ego drives. There’s not a strong desire for competition, excessive self-assertion, outward aggression, or achieving goals for just for the sake of a trophy and/or glory. (Save that for Mars in Aries.) No, Mars in Pisces wants peace, ease, serenity, cease-fires, and a poetic utopia.

So, when the outward-directed planet (Mars) transits the subdued, non-confrontational sign of Pisces, all those Mars-ruled facts of life—aggression, motivation, activity, goal-setting—can feel a bit watered down, like a flooded engine. That’s especially true if you’re trying to motivate yourself to chase/achieve something for purely selfish and/or unethical egomaniacal reasons (i.e.: greed, glory at the expense of others’ humiliation, etc.) Don’t get me wrong, Mars in Pisces has the potential to pursue any goal for greedy / selfish reasons. But because this slippery eel of a transit secretly longs to supersede greed and transcend all the earthly, egoic ambitions of the world, Mars in Pisces won’t feel good about any accomplishment driven solely by selfishness.

All that said, Mars in Pisces doesn't mean you’re completely unmotivated or completely ego-less; rather, what motivates you more during this time are your dreams, fantasies, compassion, emotions, and yearning for something greater than yourself, greater than your ego. And yes, the typical Mars-associated courage, bravado and goal-setting are all there for you to pluck up and call on, if/when you need to, but they are birthed by energies and themes not traditionally associated with Mars. Think: creative / divine inspiration, compassion and sensitivity to others, emotional investment, commitment to something greater than Y-O-U.

Mercury in Pisces EXPLAINED

Fun fact: in traditional astrology, the logical, system-loving and hyperactive planet of the mind (Mercury) doesn’t particularly enjoy being in fanciful, idealistic Pisces; in fact, it loathes being in Pisces. That’s because Mercury, who rules the oh-so logical and mentally swift signs Gemini and Virgo, is in detriment and fall in Pisces. Ergo: the planet isn’t operating at its highest function. Mercury is a logic-based problem-solver and schemer, but Pisces is all about creative and emotional ways of thinking. Mercury likes to move quickly, solve for X, and stick to the facts. Pisces tends to be elusive, evasive and vague, as though its perennially living in a watercolor world. Your 2024 Virgo Full Moon Horoscope

Mercury & Saturn in Pisces are making a somewhat hard aspect to the full moon, creating what is called an opposition. Since Mercury in Pisces doesn’t love looking at the details, preferring to soak in a soup of fantasies, there might be a momentary clash between reality & fantasy. Or, maybe you have to try extra hard to focus on the reality of a certain project / area of your life (ruled by Virgo, where the full moon is taking place). MAJOR Shifts for Your Goals & Relationships are OTW

The astrology of the week of Feb. 12 is, as the title suggests, PACKED with major shifts and ingresses (which is the fancy astrological term for planets moving into sign). It brings some brief, but profound moments for intensifying your focus and pursuits, deepening your relationships, and sharpening your intuition. Of course, the other non-astrological holiday happening this week—right smack dab in the middle of the week, mind you—is Valentine’s Day.

Sure, we’re currently in Aquarius season—with not one, not two, but soon to be four planets in the fixed air sign—and Aquarius is more about emotional detachment, friendship and ideas than romance, BUT this V-Day is still something to romanticize. In fact, there’s some gorgeous, passion-boosting astrology happening around it. There’s also some potent, empowering, insightful and cathartic astrology happening the rest of the week.

The Disruptive Aquarius New Moon Affects THESE Signs Most

Hello? Yeah, I have the future on the line, and it wants a chat with you about your destiny. On Feb. 9, we have our second new moon of 2024—this one taking place in future-focused air sign Aquarius. And unlike other new moons, which often bring about opportunities for today, the February new moon is urging you to make serious and solid plans for the future.

Both the North Node of ~destiny~ and Uranus, the planet of sudden (sometimes shocking) insight and radical moves, are in close contact with this new moon. The North Node in Aries is prompting a dash of courage and pioneering spirit towards your higher aspirations. Whereas Uranus…Well, here’s the thing: Because Uranus is squaring—or butting heads with—this new moon there’s a stronger urge to liberate, rebel, shake and wake things up so that the day after Friday isn’t the same as the day that followed.
