You may not like this one.. Had to really x-ray all the 'Happy New Year's wishes and got scared. Scared because for decades we have celebrated ' new 365 days in time' but have hardly celebrated 'a new you' in time. The time never stops. The clock didn't stop. I had to ask myself some good questions like: If time didn't stop, then what is new? Its a new 365 days that is still stuck with the same old people, same old habits, same old culture, same old level etc. I'd do a video soon on this but wanted to spark some thoughts in people really ready to move to a NEWNESS OF LIFE. Let me tell you want is new. - I found my motivation to become a diamond in one of the most lucrative international opportunities in the digital space. - I'd not just free up space in my phone's memory card but also 50% of my phone book. I shouldn't be loyal to my past that has no connection with my future. Look at the picture on this post. This represents me and you trying to carry the past and dreaming of running into the future. That is me and you stuck in repeating cycles with a past that has found a home in their comfort zone. I told some mentees recently that if you hold onto me, how else do I reach others that my purpose is crying to raise up? If you have to follow me up, it will cost you the tough discipline of growth. Well...back to subject. The success you didn't attain in 2021 was a result of the things and people in your circle. If you had 'pushers' that pushed you to take the right steps to grow financially, spiritually, physically etc. You wouldn't be where you are now. If you want MORE but can't commit to the discipline to get it, then we can't be friends in 2022 because you will slow me down. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. Let's not joke about the money part too. MONEY STILL ANSWERETH ALL THINGS. In just 90 days, I and a few friends are moving to a level we haven't attained for years. Stay long enough to LEARN PROCESSES than rush to FIND RESULTS. On the lane of process, you naturally wear off every form of distraction because people (including those that left you like Lot) would be focused on where the limelight is brightest today. I ran a virtual training this weekend where I taught that, 'Leaders never get angry at followers because the core assignment is to raise leaders. Followers naturally 'follow' the next wave of what is popular and promising now. Leaders naturally stay with you in the quiet fields with unpopular sheep's and the lions and the bears to learn and build capacity to destroy generational Goliaths. Be careful what you are troubling heaven for. You may just be very close to been called to the palace from Joseph's prison now, or being screened to replace Vashti as Queen Esther, or becoming distinguished as aristocrats from slavery like Daniel. God never lifts you from comfort. Listen again.... GOD NEVER LIFTS YOU FROM COMFORT. Live who claims to have to arrived and stay under God for new instructions where your destiny is concerned. I hope this encourages you that may be going through 'training' but calling it 'suffering'. When the next bout of discouragement comes in, find your intimate circle and break into prayers/study and stay with the last instruction. You may just have been thrown from a place of temporal comfort (like Joseph in Potiphar's house). God may have seen that you are already beginning to accept your leadership over Potiphar's house as your biggest testimony of success. Listen, you will be hated, insulted, laughed at and accused but stay quiet. Don't fight with lies when you have the authentic truth. Your present temporal success will not matter when all the celebrities in your past have to bow down before you in the future God is preparing you for. For those that understand my depth, the clue is called 'Wealth Transfer'. I'd stop here for now. Never forget. Don't allow the enemy rename your necessary Training Period or wilderness Period for quick gain. A BETTER NIGERIA... As you ready the above phrase, what came to your mind? The truth is that, a better Nigeria starts with you. Just imagine everyone around you thought like that, we would build influence that is attractive to others. Our problems are basically a neglect of our personal responsibility to build the 'Nigerian in the mirror' especially in a season where the Nigerian with right ethical values seems irrelevant to a growing generation expected to power up the future. You are the Government of your own conduct, habits, disposition and especially mindset. Spend time on building sustainable value that can influence change and transformation. Its a time for personal capacity development. Don't despise the things you are going through. They are the best training center that can showcase you to the world. Don't assume others are in a better place. If they open their mouth and tell you what they are going through, you will open your mouth. If they tell you the quality of risk they are taking, you will fear but that is the distinguishing characteristic. Without taking risks where problems are endemic and further anticipated, your comfort zone will look like heaven and you will never leave it. Take risks to unlock a better version of you daily. The greatest vacancy in Africa now, is the massive vacancy for Leaders that understand that the transformation they seek begins with them. Find a problem you can dedicate your time, energy to solve. A friend of mine, Oladimeji Sunday Prince posted about the value of problems to wise people. Taking risk is risky but that is the overhead bridge, wise people take every now and then. E.g. the value of an entrepreneur is the problems he/she can solve (and get paid for if it is a business) And please stop saying the year has ended. To God be the Glory. Was reminiscing my life while I spoke to some very very distinguished academia today and wondering how far God has taken me. What does a small boy have to tell professors with diverse degrees and high profile engagements both in country and out. Let me share God's goodness: ------------------------------------------------- Paying the price of leadership since 2010 running pre-career Training Programmes for Secondary school. Many Schools adopting my first book on career planning as a text book. Been on radio & Television for many years... Training over 10,000 youths in 2016- 2017. Been part of National Transformation on a National level. Been part of sensitization/empowerment programmes to police officers, NSDC, Ministries etc. Ran Corporate Social Responsibility from my small office in Kaduna with few faithful mentees.. Spoken to Business men from all works of life. Daily inspiring a generation on social media from 2010 (check Facebook) I can go on and on. These are just a few of my story. Someone will say why im I saying this.... I have come to understand that regret is the absence of impact. Monitor your thoughts!! Guard your heart!!! By default our senses are 'adaptively' programmed to give more attention to what CONFRONTS US, thereby exalting situations far more than they truly are. Outcomes: - Faith gets minimized. - You see yourself less than you truly are. - Opportunities that are originally yours are passed over psychologically to others you think are more deserving. - Your mouth is praying...your mind is wishing. The one that made you and knows you better than you can ever know yourself said, "Guard your heart with 'ALL' diligence". Just like tuning a radio to get the right radio frequency, you and only you are responsible for tuning your mindset to what fuels your faith for new results, not pump your fear to stay same.
