rosario vampire is by far the BIGGEST wasted potential i’ve seen from a manga to anime adaption. the manga was incredible, the characters had a lot of depth to them. like where was inner moka’s character arc from believing she’s just there to protect outer moka’s friends to actually CARING about the group and learning to love? where was kurumu and mizore’s friendship? where was tsukune’s journey to becoming stronger? if i could give a revamp to ANY anime, i would give it to this. if the anime creators had stayed faithful to the manga, it would be one of the BEST animes.

now, i’m just gonna say it. the only reason people don’t like the marvels is because of their internalised misogyny and racism. the marvels actually looks like a good film, but unfortunately even though the same people preach progressiveness and support for those minorities, they are also hypocrites and can’t accept any difference from a white, heterosexual, male cast. if this were Tony, Steve and Thor’s film everyone would be all over it and it would be the most anticipated film of the year. get over yourself people, it’s 2023.

But what is actually the point of the film? I thought it was about Lydia getting cancelled. And what I meant about the plot lines was like when Lydia made friends with Olga, she didn’t actually did anything bad with her? Sure, she was physically affectionate but nothing that could actually resemble cheating. And Sharon got mad at her for it? It could be about Lydia’s selfishness but surely she knew about that since the start of the film?? That’s no excuse to take away her only child. It was like they were going somewhere with the film, but made up the plot as they went.

They started a bunch of plot lines, but never finished them. I went in knowing little to nothing about the plot and went out knowing even less. It wasn’t like everything, everywhere, all at once kind of ‘who comes up with this stuff?!’ No. TÁR was more like ‘who comes up with such a dull idea?’ I get that it’s representing cancel culture but god, where was the action?
