I wonder if reincarnation exists in this world in a way? I recall before Midas died he said a line that implied he concept of another lifetime. Also, I wonder if reincarnation would depend on karma because in the Woods, the soul is already set for good and evil. Or maybe whatever controls the souls themselves being reborn isn't really the Storian alone.

I lowkey wish that some characters had another lifetime... like Midas himself.

I'd say that would be Rhian!

Aside from the bad boys obsession, the glass castle idea (I like pretty architecture but glass is just no), having a twin and killing it, and the extroversion, I would say I relate so much to Rhian. I guess perhaps I used to hate him because he cut wayy too deep whenever I read his parts in the duology. 😭

How would you think of the accents of the sge characters?

Thanks for the ask. I apologize for not answering sooner, with my friends' grad party, family issues, work, and school all around me.

Hmm let's see... I imagine the prequel twins and Tedros/Camelot folks with British accents. Maybe even the TCY twins, because perhaps Evelyn has a British accent. Besides, it makes sense as British English gives a more older, fairy tale/storybook vibe than the American one does. I don't know-- US English sounds a bit too modern to me.

Even in Gavaldon, as Midas mentioned fish and chips.

Other than that, I'm sure other characters would have accents based on their first languages, such as Arabic and maybe French. I have always headcanoned Rufius with a French accent! Vulcan was supposed to have a Russian accent or something Slavic, I believe? Also, I imagine the Sader family from the prequels and Valentina in TCY to have Spanish accents in their speech, sorta like my mom and people I know in real life.

Modern AU for Rufius/some Canon Rufius headcanons

Alright so in my new second job, I have to work a lot with bread. I work before opening time so I need to stock all the displays with breads and pastries, and later cut bread for the sandwich people. I imagine a modern Rufius would really love working here.

Maybe if he develops more confidence and self-worth, he could even be an owner or manager of a bakery/Cafe. I have headcanoned that Rufius just has this relationship with food... like I could just be projecting, but to him food would be like a language for him or an art form, especially if he does cake decoration and all that.

And if Midas lives here and becomes a real friend to Rufius, he could be in charge of the finances and taking care of the expenses and checking for suspicious cashier behavior. And he'd also be in charge of the pay.

Again, I could just be projecting as I have a really odd relationship with food myself. I get really passionate talking about it and it reflects emotions, feelings, experiences for me. I don't know how to describe it exactly but you'll see me in action if you get me started.

But it would make sense for Rufius right? Like food and pastries are his friends!

I also love the idea of a genuine alternate universe friendship between Rufius and Midas, where they can both look past their differences. Or maybe, that's just me because I relate to both of them. If Rafal (or maybe the Storian idk) gave them magical ability to make some creature with parts of their souls that would be me.

You seem stubborn and like you wouldn’t easily change your mind about personal principles. At the same time, you could be accommodating or a people-pleaser about minor things? You also seem like the kind of person to value punctuality?

I am a very stubborn person with those things! It's why preaching, etc would never work on me and it would be a waste of time for someone. I think if I really see the need to change my core beliefs, I will, on my own.

With the accommodation part, it depends. I do often allow certain things because 1) it doesn't hurt anyone or go against my moral code and 2) I am not obliged to actually agree with what people do or say, I just accommodate because everyone has their own lives.

And yes, I value punctuality A LOT. I make sure to be up to 30 mins early for my job and interviews. In fact, my friend tends to be late for things so it drives me crazy carpooling with her family to events because the tardiness was avoidable!
