Ajax was a smart student always first to turn in work. Although most passed it off that he wasn’t that intelligent.

Zhongli knew better though. He watched his passion in his work and tests. He would sit there and watch his confidence finishing his own work later.

Zhongli soon moved over to sit by Ajax later now curious wanting to know more..

“Hello. I’m zhongli.” He stated with a soft smile on his face “hey! Ajax. What brings you over here?” He replied curiosity apparent on his tone “I saw you a while ago with your work. You seemed so focused… intrigued me.” Zhongli answered with a soft smile on his lips “huh? Is that so? Well then. You obviously have some talent for seeing talent.” Ajax said with a small smirk.

Zhongli chuckled. And Ajax moved onto the assignment that was handed out. And zhongli began on it himself.

Ajax looked over them wrote faster. Zhongli turned to him in curiosity noticing that Ajax wasn’t far ahead of him in the work. Was he… competing? Zhongli then chuckled lowly and writing faster himself trying to give him a hard time for trying to compete.

“Done!” Ajax exclaimed under his breath. And happily sat up in confidence. “I was done 2 minutes ago.” Zhongli turned his head and spoke to Ajax with a small smirk of intrigue showing Ajax his finished paper.

“W-what?!” Ajax said sounding upset with a hint of disappointment and defeat.. “fine. I’ll finish twice as fast next assignment.” Ajax said confidently. With a smirk of his own staring into Zhonglis eyes.

“Huh. Sure you will.” Zhongli exclaimed intrigue still on his tongue.

“You bet I will.”

And that’s how it began….
