What is prayer? and why is it important to you?
Prayer is asking.
It is important to me because God has ordained that it is effective (James 5:16).
If I will TRUST Him enough to ASK; if I will have enough FAITH to ASK; then He will allow my PRAYER to be the SPARK ⚡️ to the fuel ⛽️ of His power to accomplish His will for His glory.

PRAY FOR BIG THINGS TODAY BECAUSE:
“You are coming to a KING -
Large petitions with you bring.
For His grace and pow’r are such,
None could ever ask too much.”

Would you be like the king?
Deuteronomy 17:18-20 NKJV
[18] "Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. [19] And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, [20] that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel.
The king shall:
1. Write for himself a copy of God’s Word
2. Keep it with him
3. Read it everyday of his life
4. Learn to fear God
5. Obey = faith/trust
6. Be humble
7. Don’t deviate from the truth
8. Be blessed - see Psalm 1 & Joshua 1:8

King Saul with David is a great Bible example of this proverb. No doubt many times David ate at Saul's table but Saul grew very jealous of David and wanted to kill him. See 1 Samuel 18:8-12 & 20:1-33.

Are you thankful for the Word of God?
"The Bible is not such a book a man would write if he could, or could write if he would." – Lewis Chafer, founder of Dallas Theological Seminary

"God created man in his own image and man, being a gentleman, returned the favor." ~ Mark Twain - When a person says, "My God would never send anyone to Hell.", they are doing just what Twain alludes to. They are making a god in their own image that they are comfortable with. One that has no problem with their sin. When they do this they are breaking the 1st and 2nd Commandments. Exodus 20:3-4a "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image" - Scripture should define who God really is, NOT how we form Him in our own imaginations.

"Consider the amazing gecko lizard, which can walk across the ceiling upside down without falling off. On its toe pads are an estimated 500 million tiny fibers tipped with little suction cups. In addition, the tips of the lizard’s toes bend upward so that it can peel off the suction cups gradually at each step and not get stuck to the surface." - Mark Cahill
