Oo, alam ko…
Tanggap ko na malayo ako sa'yo
Alam ko na kailanman hindi tayo
Magtatagpo,
Magkakabangga,
O madadampian ng sinag ng araw mo
Na maaring makapagbigay init at buhay
Sa nagyeyelo,
Madilim,
at malungkot na planeta ko.
Kaya’t sinabi ng mga pantas
at dakila sa agham
Na hindi ako isang planeta
Sa solar system mo.
Isa lang akong malamig
At nagyeyelong basura na
Pinipilit pumasok sa sistema mo.
Alam ko na may walong planeta pa
Na naghihintay sa'yo.
Mas hot (Mercury, Venus)
Posibleng bumuhay sa'yo at maging tahanan
ng malungkot na bisig mo (Mars)
Sagana sa yaman (Earth)
O puro hangin lang (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,
Neptune)
Sila na paniguradong di ka magsisising
Mahalin mo.
Wala akong panalo sa kanila
Kasi nga hindi pa tayo pinagtatagpo
Ng masalimuot na unibersong ito.
Pero gusto kong sabihin sa'yo
Na kahit na ako ang
Pinakapanget at walang kwentang
Planetang makilala mo
Ay patuloy akong iikot sayo.
Patuloy kong isusulat sa mga tala
Ang ‘yong ganda,
Ang labi mo at perpekto nitong
mga kurba.
Ikukuwento ko sa kanila
Kung paano mo niliwanagan ang mundo ko.
Kahit na katiting na liwanag lang
Ang nakikita ng mga mata ko, dahil
Gaano man kalawak ang malungkot na
Unibersong ito.
Umaasa ako na magtatagpo din tayo
At aasang mababahagian ng init mo
Hanggang sa ikaw na
Ang maging liwanag ko,
Ang maging buhay ko.
As the sky lights up
far away from the city lights,
seeing the galaxies dance in
sync, listening to the silent
vibrations black holes emit
building blocks of all that you see is
99.9999% empty, and none of the
atoms you were born with are the
same atoms that you are today –
i like people who write letters
transcending space and time, words
encoded into the interface of our
interdimensional display limited to
less than 0.0005% on the spectrum
of what we’re able to perceive.
when you see the vastness perhaps
you feel like you’re witnessing infinity
but your perception is constructed in
your occipital lobe, only few cubic centi-
meters in the back of your brain.
all the billions of galaxies with
billions of stars aren’t even a grain of
sand compared to the spark of divinity
buried deep within your heart.
Guess who got carried away with homework despite other courses needing attention too… it’s me. I’ve been working on this the past few days. Basically, I had to make a 2-media project that was Very Filipino, and I went with mythology duh.
So here are concepts for a theoretical monster and mythology game and companion comic!
In the game, you team up with Cool Deities and Creatures to go against the Mean ones. More focused on the diverse Filipino mythology!
For example in my big fancy illustration: Mayari, one-eyed moon goddess, helping you distract Bakunawa the moon-eating serpent (mostly because said moon is her sister) while shielding you against the elements.
And also, you can ram a manananggal with a sorbetes cart
The comic meanwhile would be focused on the cast of characters (this time, about the diversity of Filipino people themselves) dealing with weird monsters. Oh, and their Tikbalang friend.
It’s been a fun project haha, and I’m actually considering making the comic aspect of this, but for now, enjoy~
