everything. life, death, and life after death. it all starts and ends here, in the astral plane/heaven. nothing is physical or materialistic here. this is where angels and non-physical beings reside. a place where all consciousness resides. a place where time doesn't exist. everything is connected to this plane. this piece shows everything in life, physical and spiritual, and how it all starts and goes back to the astral plane.

this was the last piece of my art that my mom saved before she passed. she had a whole album in her phone dedicated to my art. its crazy because this is where she is now. Liv3 On Valued 3nergy (LOVE) & LONG LIVE MY MOMMY!!

life is extremely crazy and it's not always a straight path. there are so many layers to life that are intertwined. so many things flowing at the same time, going too many different ways. getting lost on your path is very easy and falling is likely expected. everything is supposed to happen this way though. you're supposed to learn from this, to see things for how they truly are...past the physical. but no matter how dark the path is, always follow the light!

the moon reminds me of my mommy. i used to tell her "when i see the moon, i see you". in astrology, the moon is the mother. it also is the inner world of a being and their emotions. my mommy was my emotional comfort space. those green eyes again, but not as beautiful as my mommy's ;).

this represents the relationship between dark and light, negative and positive, yin and yang. the dark emphasizes the light and the light emphasizes the dark. life has to have some sort of balance between the two. one cannot exist without the other, these two are always intertwined. humans also have this balance in them (the halo and horns). when humans don't understand this balance or know of its presence, they may let the dark take over...no matter how big or small this dark is and no matter how much light there is. some only focus on the dark. which never allows them to appreciate the light, even if they are surrounded in an environment of just light. the looming feeling of dark and negative energy may still hang over their heads.

"THE SPIRAL OF LIFE" 2023

i see life as a spiral, a flow of energy mixing together cohesively. i feel like gemini is a sign that represents two sides on the coin of life as it is the twins. my mom's moon is in gemini which falls in my 8th house. the scorpion (scorpio ruler of the 8H) is at the bottom of the staircase to represent the deep, dark, mysterious part of life/the universe...like the deep parts of the ocean that are undiscovered. my mommy loved the ocean, it's one of the places where a bit of her ashes are spread. seashells remind me of her too, every time since i was a kid we went to the beach we would collect shells. i feel like everything about my mom's death was so "scorpio". the intense emotions and the shock factor of it all...as no one, not even herself knew that she had stage 4 cervical cancer.

nature knows all...but so can you. as you can see, the tree can see. as you can love, the tree can love. everything is one. if everything is one...you are the tree and the tree is you. "i" is we.

i made this (5/17/23) exactly a month before my mommy passed away (6/17/23). the green eyes remind me of her, they're not as pretty as hers though. baby blue is her favorite color...blue and green remind me of her and the blue green car she had during my childhood.

in astrology the 8th house represents birth, death, rebirth, sex, money (more "long term" than 2nd house), and joint finances. the energy of this house steers you away from the path of materialism towards the path of spiritualism. this house is ruled by scorpio, the scorpion; which is all about mystery, the emotional realm, intuition, and psychic abilities.

the two snakes overlap each other to make an eight or an infinity symbol. one has the sun and the other has the moon to represent the two sides of the coin of life. yin and yang. it also represents the mystic side of life that is beneath everything physical.

i made this during and inspired by my 8H profection year ruled by gemini, the two twins.

"BLACK MOON LILITH" 2022

in astrology there is a placement in everyone's natal birth chart called black moon lilith. this is based on where the furthest point of the moon's orbit lands in your chart. black moon lilith is the taboo side of your personality; shows how you rebel, dark feminine energy, and your true desires you are scared to express in this life. in jewish mythology lilith was supposedly adam's first wife but refused to be subservient to adam because she thought her and adam were created equal as God made them from the same dust of the earth. so, she ran away from the garden of eden and was punished as a result.

the chrysanthemum represents sun and light. symbolizing immortality, longevity, rejuvenation, nobility, harvest, and goodwill.

the snake represents lilith. but also symbolizes rebirth, transformation, healing, eternity and continual renewal of life. the snake is two headed to symbolize the dual expression of good and evil.

the moon represents the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle of inner emotions/world of a person in astrology. the moon constantly changes cycles every 2.5 days and is reborn. in astrology the moon rules over the zodiac sign cancer, which is the fourth sign in the zodiac year.
