[[ Image Description: A photo featuring a serval crouched low, looking up and snarling a warning with ears flattened, with a post on it by user @autisticliving.
The post reads: “The scariest thing about being developmentally disabled is that statements such as “stupid people shouldn’t be allowed to breed” and “people like that shouldn’t even be born” aren’t radical. These views aren’t just propagated by extremist right wing groups, they are casual conversation around the coffee tables of people who consider themselves liberal. Advocating for our genocide is so normalized and expected that it is mentioned as casually as the weather.” ]]

Resources! Updated Jan. 2, 2016
Can be found here on my blog
INFORMATION
The majority of these are autism-related, but there are some other disability-related resources listed. Many of these have both Facebook pages, other social media, and websites, and I haven’t provided all of the outlets for all of the pages.  Feel free to share these links/the link to my resource page. I wrote only a handful of them myself, so if you credit anyone, please do so from the original source.
Some links will take you to specific posts/writings from blogs I have posted on here. Some links are in multiple categories. If you have suggestions for better organization/categories, tell me! If links are broken, tell me. If you have problems with information in the links, tell me. I try very hard to give out accurate and useful information.
Not of all these have links yet. This is a significant work in progress.

A Femme Fatale (french for “Fatal Woman”) is a mysterious and seductive woman. Whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations. She is an archetype of literature and art. Her ability to entrance and hypnotise her victim with a spell was in the earliest stories seen as being literally supernatural; hence, the femme fatale today is still often described as having a power akin to an enchantress, seductress, vampire, witch, or demon, having power over men. The phrase is French for “fatal woman”. A femme fatale tries to achieve her hidden purpose by using feminine wiles such as beauty, charm, and sexual allure. In some situations, she uses lying or coercion rather than charm. She may also make use of some subduing weapon such as sleeping gas, a modern analog of magical powers in older tales. She may also be (or imply that she is) a victim, caught in a situation from which she cannot escape. Often portrayed in Hollywood’s Film Noir, during the 40s and 50s.

The Quick and Dirty Guide to Finding an Agent
So, you’ve finished your book. Congratulations! Give yourself a pat on the back–you’ve earned it. You think you’re ready to start looking for a Literary Agent to promote your book, and this is really where it gets tough. But don’t worry–that’s what I’m here for.
First of all, you’re probably wondering why you even need an agent. Wouldn’t it be much easier to go to the publishers straight away? They’re the ones you want to see your book, right?
Wrong. Sure, once upon a long time ago, you might have been able to send your manuscript in to publishers and they might have read and accepted your book. Sadly, that isn’t how the world works anymore.
Literary Agents perform the oh-so-important task of marketing your manuscript to publishers that they think would like your book. Finding the right Agent for you can be a little tricky, because a lot of Agents only accept manuscripts that fit specific categories. I would recommend using the Quick Agent Search on this website because it allows you to find agents that want to look at your genre.
Once you’ve selected an Agent or two, it’s time to write a query letter. This is important–it’s your first impression, your chance to hook the Agent’s interest. A query letter shouldn’t be more than a page long (if typed in Word). It should contain a summary of your book, your previous publishing experience–if any–and a little bit about yourself as a person. Don’t be afraid to get a little creative, either. During the last conference I went too, I attended a panel where we, the writers, were able to ask an agent questions about what they looked for in a query letter. The Agent told us about a letter she had once received which was written from the perspective of the main character of the author’s manuscript. But in case you need some guidance other than a paragraph, here are some websites and tutorials that have helped me in the past:
How To
Anatomy of
Masterpost
Straight from an Agency
Basics
Once you finish your query, send it to your prospective Agents, either through email or regular snail mail (make sure you know which they prefer), and wait. If the Agent likes your pitch, they’ll most likely ask for the first chapter, or first fifty pages of your manuscript so be prepared. If you’re lucky, they’ll ask for the whole thing!
That’s all I’ve got for now–good luck!

“Those Tarot Cards you like are going to come back in style.”
These super awesome Twin Peaks-themed tarot cards are the creation of Benjamin Mackey, Arizona-based artist and co-creator of the ongoing SAINTS comic book series. Mackey recently started working his way through the 22 Major Arcana of the tarot. Styled after the popular Rider-Waite-Smith deck, Mackey carefully selects characters and imagery from David Lynch’s cult TV series that best suit the symbolism of each card.

Head over to Benjamin Mackey’s Facebook page to view all of the Twin Peaks tarot cards that he’s finished thus far. Once the entire deck is completed, Mackey says he hopes to make it available for sale. Until then we’ll just have to make do with Agent Cooper’s own unique method of divination:
