now me, as a modern fan. In fact so modern I really only like started occasionally watching after the lawsuit arc (unpopular opinion but I actually liked the arc a lot). And honestly sometimes I get where certain fans come from because- the show has flaws. I think some people really push it in like a really nitpicky or just straight up stupid area (people complaining about subtitles for characters who didn't have them before comes to mind). BUT it still has flaws, some bigger, some smaller. And I think to an extent that's like, also important to discuss and you can't just dismiss all not positive comments as hate. Though I will say some people will work really hard to hate to such a weird extent where it feels like they invent a worse version of smg4 inside their heads. Especially when people come around with the 4 is basically a villain because he's that much of a piece of shit thing. Also the ship hate is CRAZY in this fandom, at least tumblr is sane in that regard. Like while on other platforms I see the "they're brothers >:(" (about 3x4) or "how did this even become a thing?" (about many ships actually) comment several times, on tumblr I've seen it like what, twice maybe?

As I said in my pervious post about this, my posts came from a place of frustration.

As I also said in my last post, SMG4 is my special interest, making it hard for me to handle hate. This is because it feels like people are hating on me.

I also acknowledge I was being hypocritical in my posts. I apologize for that.

But I never said criticisms of modern SMG4 don’t exist. I agree that the show isn’t perfect. As you were saying, I’m mad at the fact that some people hate so hard that they start to ruin it for everyone else.

But I was again being hypocritical. I may make an apology video for these posts, if people agree I should.

I'm a classic fan.

yeah, i know. Boo me. Hate me. But let me also add this:

I love the new shit, I love the character growth and I ship smg34. (No hate if you do or don't. don't bash me because I do and I won't bash you because you don't.) I love the new shit they've been putting out, I love the things glitch has been working on, I love the remasters, and all that good shit.

so to any other classics fans out there. Look man if you don't like the new content then just leave and find something that does match your tastes. I did for a couple of years and then came back. Because the internet certainly is a place filled with other people with the same humor as you. Or something. If your really that upset go watch South Park or something man don't ruin it for the rest of us.

I’m a strong believer that people should be allowed to have opinions

I’m sorry but Classic SMG4 is literally the most unfunny thing ever. Painful to watch.

Literally potty humor, swears, offensive jokes, and the fucking r-slur. It’s just edgy humor that peaked in the 2010s. The gay jokes are the one redeeming quality, but there’s like 3 episodes that are actually funny overall.

Also most Classic SMG4 fans are whiny little bitches that can’t be thankful for anything. I saw people complaining that the new SMG4 episode was bad even though it was LITERALLY MADE FOR YOU!

Six Splits For Four New Character Prediction

Spoilers for Chapter 1 & 2 and Spilt into Threes below cut

Alright so we know three of the six so far:

Producer (Insecurity and Need to be perfect)

Ringmaster (Ego and Imagination)

Artist (Creativity and Humor)

And we have a hint at our fourth with the final paragraph of Chapter 2

From this introduction we know a few things about them as a character.

They call SMG3 a “fair maiden” which shows us their perception of the pairs relationship.

Fair maiden is often used in fictional works to describe a woman that could be described as “perfect” so the use of fair maiden shows they see 3 in an incredibly positive way.

Fair maiden can also describe the damsel in distress archetype. This archetype represents a helpless character in need of saving by (usually) the hero archetype. In fairy tales, this hero is usually a prince or knight and a romantic interest.

Through some logical backtracking, if SMG3 (the damsel in distress) is saved by our fourth SMG4 split, then the forth split sees himself as the hero aka either a prince or a knight.

I believe that our fourth split is Prince4. My biggest piece of evidence comes from the art from the fic.

We have a sneak peek of this mysterious split. And there hat/crown has the letters “PR”, which can represent Prince, as every SMG4 split has letters on there hat representing there name (R for Ringmaster, A for Artist, PD for Producer)

Going back to the romance part of our analysis, we see a small peak of there outfit in the fanfics cover art

Not only does it show a knight like outfit, reaffirming the idea of him being a hero archetype, but he seems to be holding something in his teeth which I outlined below:

Going off of our previous assumption of being a romantic interest, we can safely assume that this is a rose.

Roses being held in ones teeth is a classic romantic move which further backs up not only the romantic side but also backs up his code name.

We can safely assume that Red Caine is Ringmaster (Has a cane and is a reference to Caine from TADC) and Purple Slab is Artist (Slab often is used to describe materials used in art). Since the colors all follow the SMG4 splits color schemes then we know that Prince4 (white) has to be White Roman.

But how does White Roman confirm the rose and vice verses? Historians believe the rose between the teeth originated from Ancient Greek and Rome. So in the code name Roman represents the rose in his teeth which represents the romance element of his personality.

My conclusion?

I predict the fourth SMG4 split is called Prince4 and represents Fours heroism and romantic feelings.

Bob is canonically 5,000 years old. And unless we’re arguing that SMG1 and SMG2 were in the guardian pod for the entire time the new world existed, then Bob would be over 1,000s of years older then 1. SMG1 and SMG2 are 42 at the absolute oldest.

So does that mean Bob1 is problematic too now or does it only apply to ships you don’t like.
