I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you don’t need to prove yourself to other queer people. the entire idea of being “queer enough” is stupid and damaging to everyone in the community. you are queer and that’s enough. anyone who gives you shit for it isn’t worth your time and is insecure about themself. date whoever you like, dress how you want, act how you please. just know that you are always queer enough and there is no standard for how queer you have to be to be taken seriously as a queer person.

Depression is such an effective tranquilizer that it creates a great opportunity for plot twists in your real life. I have a pretty consistent opinion of myself which is "low" and "never ending guilt and shame for reasons I don't understand."

Recently received feedback from two different editing clients that started with "Please pass along to Jacquelynn that she is phenomenal at her job" and "I was blown away by the evaluation I received."

You always hear about how depression (and anxiety) lies to you and distorts reality, but there is logically knowing that and then there is like, physical proof of it and you are suddenly Neo in the Matrix jumping out of the fucked up little tube machine.

Folks with this whole "you're old once you hit 25" mentality are just buying into a repackaged "you need to have your life figured out by 18 and if you're not successful by 22 you're a failure" load of shit. Like....bruh, life doesn't end at 25. Idk how to tell you that the time limit you're silently imposing on yourself and your peers is largely responsible for your dissatisfaction with your life. Stop living your life like happiness has an expiration date. It doesn't.

We all went years thinking that the rest of the world was just joking, and then we’re all shocked when we find out that they’re actually serious. Love that for us.

basically

you get DMed by a hacked member of your friends list

they say someone with the same username and avatar as you sent someone inappropriate pictures

they invite you to join a server to see the accusations and defend yourself

they say that they cannot risk having a creep on their friends list until you defend yourself

they block you so you feel pressured to join the server to defend yourself

if you join the server it tries to get you to scan the QR code to log in, which hands over complete access to your account

never scan QR codes on discord. do not join these servers. do not put the rest of your friends list in danger.
