liminal spaces, an album by zzzahara is a very strong alternative album. Alternative music is becoming ever more volatile and weak these days, with artists often leaning more towards pop or hip-hop than trying to be honest and go the alternative route. Many decide to try and sell out just so they have an audience that they can make the music they want to. Not zzzahara. zzzahara's album 'liminal spaces' is an indie work of art. The whirring synths of 'they don't know' sound almost hyperpop, even similar to that of Take On Me by a-ha. One of my first purchases off of Bandcamp was, in fact, zzzahara's 'idk how to luv', but this artist just wants to vibe. The album art is completely vibrant and looks wonderful, while fitting the album perfectly. Mareux shines on the feature of 'bulletproof', which has a bass sound resonant of 80's pop stars such as Kate Bush, while sounding brand new. zzzahara proves alternative music is not dead. Not even close. My one complaint, perhaps not even a complaint, is that the album title doesn't quite suit the album and the choice to leave out the twelfth track is an interesting one. zzzahara makes it work anyhow, and the album draws a suitable conclusion with 'it will get better'. A four minute waltz through everything that makes zzzahara great, slowed down to provide the satisfying ending.
Overall, liminal spaces is an amazing album proving that alternative can thrive in any environment.

Hii it’s me again lol. The reading was lowkey accurate !! I’ve been listening to music a lot recently and was wondering what songs do I remind my two guys of? I hope that makes sense 😅 thank you again <3 (if you need another way for me to phrase it then it would be like me asking what songs do I remind you of? Yk?)
Hello again!
This is kind of new to me so I'm excited to see how this goes!
I want to also add that some of these songs I added are based on feeling instead of the lyrics so if the lyrics don't resonate then just listen to the beat and think about how it makes you feel ♡

LA on Fire has been the one main song I've been playing on repeat this entire year. It originally came up on my Discover Weekly, and I was hooked on the song as soon as I heard it for the first time. The chorus has such a great beat and every time I hear it the song just gives me so many story ideas for my OCs. I eventually want to do another song storyboard sequence to LA on Fire since it's one of my faves.
gurl is another upbeat tune that has a nostalgic vibe
Acid Rain is one of those tracks that I heard a few years back, and every so often return back to it since I like the dark synth sound to it
