Hi everyone! If anyone is actually seeing this, that is 😅 I thought I would take this chance to reintroduce myself and pretty much get all my thoughts about my page in one place.

First of all, my name is Saturn. Just like the planet. And you may refer to me with whichever pronouns you prefer, I’m not picky in the slightest about how people refer to me. :)

Second, I have fairly recently rediscovered my love for creating art. I mainly create abstract and/or zentangle pieces, though so far there are only a few I’m proud enough of to post. I also occasionally draw other things, which could be anything from little mushroom fairy houses to recreating posters from games I play.

I’m not on here looking for fame or anything like that. I just think tumblr is a neat place and perfect for sharing what I create. And if this somehow miraculously finds an audience, cool! That’s all for now. If you’ve read this far, thank you <3

first time on tumblr in a while ! obvs since it's been more than 4 years since my last post, a lot has changed/happened in my life. Here are some things in no particular order:

have my own apartment, 2 cats, nice car

uhh covid happened. and is still happening

I started working part time as a teller at a bank at the beginning of 2019, went to full time, became a universal teller, then moved to a different branch as a head teller

tomorrow I start a new position in the company at the ops center as a call center rep. I'm nervous but am optimistic about it, bc it seems like I will actually be valued by my boss there

former boss from when I was a head teller was so manipulative and caused me so much anxiety that I developed chronic fatigue and gastroparesis. got intermittent FMLA time bc of how much it affected me

trying to decide whether I report anything to HR about how much I've suffered bc of my former boss

before I had my apartment my family moved to the next town over with my nana and papa all into one house. I left bc never being alone and having my papa around all the time was affecting my mental health

berni died a month or so ago... still very sad from that but trying not to dwell on it, bc I dont think she would want me to

been experiencing a lot of uncontrollable anxiety for a while, lately making my heart beat really fast, but I'm trying to use art (mostly zentangle and wood-painting projects) to ground myself

I still talk with Charlene. it's over the phone now bc of covid, we have appointments once a week

I visit my family multiple times a week, a lot of times to have dinner when I get out of work. I love them all very much and think that having my own apartment has helped me enjoy my time with them more.

money is p tight right now for me, I'm *just* making it with rent and electric and copays etc. Hoping to get a raise soon after I switch positions

my parents still have edie and winnie, and they begrudgingly coexist. we couldnt find a home for winnie and couldnt bear to part with another dog...no major incidents since the one in my last post

ginnie got a kitten and named him Moose! he never stops moving and loves to play and bite lol. he was a barn kitten from my friend. my parents absolutely love him and wish he were theirs

ginnie has a boyfriend now and hes really nice. I think theyve been together for like 2 years now? they went to elementary school together and reconnected thru some video game. he has proven to really be a genuinely good person over this past summer bc ginnie went into this spiraling anxiety episode that lasted months, and was still supportive of her the whole time. (I know that should be the bare minimum, but he also like was very mature about it, took the time to comfort her, and did not even express that he was overwhelmed, bc that would have been perfectly understandable.) shes still recovering from it and takes meds for it, and also has a therapist she speaks with like once a week. she seems to be doing a lot better and is willing to try to go out and do things

today, I'm going to visit my parents house for dinner and cake to celebrate getting this new position. atlas was gonna go but they decided to stay home bc they're tired (which is fair)

atlas has a serious boyfriend and lives with him in their bosses' house on the 3rd floor. they have Moose's brother, who I named Scrump, along with Gruffen and Matt's puppy named Ripley. things have not been easy for atlas and matt but they are working together to try and make a good life for each other

...right now, I am sitting on my couch with my cat Mochi in my lap. he is warm and loves me a lot. he wants to be with me all the time. hes also a dummy and loves to run around and cause trouble. Maisie is either in my room all cozy or in her kitchen window bed all cozy. she loves me very much too, just in a less blatant way than Mochi. I got maisie first and have known her since she was like 2 weeks old. she was a barn kitten and is now 2 years old. she can be a brat but she is my brat and I love her so much too

...thats all I can think of right now. although things have been shaky and my anxiety can be unpredictable, I have a good support system and as long as I try my best, that's all anyone can ask for.

I finished #iftheshoefits by #juliemurphy yesterday and absolutely loved it. It is a modern retelling of Cinderella using a bachelor type reality show as the basis. Cindy is a fashion school graduate and the bachelor is the son of crumbling fashion house. It’s a lot of fun. At one point, Cindy gets out her #sketchbook and draws a special number over and over again until it just looks like a pattern on the page. You had no idea how your night ended up like this. You had decided to go out to a party with your best friend Ryujin, expecting to dance for a while and take a couple shots. She had dragged you along with her since you weren't one for parties, but you found yourself having some ounce of fun. At least you got to wear that new dress you found while shopping earlier that week. The cute black one with the heart lace? Yeah, you'd have to pick that up off the floor later.

Tattooed necks and tattooed hands

Hard rock blasting through the speakers in the condo shook the floor as the stranger you met roamed his hands all over your body. Intricate tattoos covered his skin; the zentangle on his hands in rhythm with the zentangle he was tracing on your arms.

Oh how don't you drown in a rainstorm?

The hum of the music was in time with the storm against his bedroom windows- the reason you had found yourself staying for longer than you should've. You had someone back at home. Someone who was waiting for you after your fun with your friend. Someone who didn't know you rode on the back of Choi San's motorcycle and agreed to fuck him at his house. Oh well. Seonghwa could wait until tomorrow... Right?

Fresh regrets, vodka sweats

Two bottles of shitty wine littered the floor along with red solo cups and your purse contents strewn all over the floor. You saw a Marilyn Manson vinyl peeking out from underneath the bed and a pack of cigarettes on the mantle piece. You were about to propose a different song when San grabbed you bridal style and threw you over the ripped leather couch.

The sun is down and we're bound to get exhausted

You glanced over to your phone on the table looking for a time. 2:30am.

And so far from the shore

You felt San trail kisses along your collarbone

You're never gonna get it

Suddenly it was getting hard to breathe

I'm a hazard to myself

"S-San."

I'll break it to you easy, this is hell, this is hell

"San." Images of Seonghwa flashed through your mind.

You're looking and whispering

He started slowly inching your shirt off as he continued to ignore you.

You think I'm someone else

"Get off me!" You yelled, leaping towards your bag and throwing the remaining contents of the cigarette box in it.

"What the hell?" San bolted up from the couch and moved his hair out of his face, revealing his face tattoos and eyebrow piercing.

He tried to grab your hand to stop your frantic movements but you were ready to leave. You had already slipped your shirt back over your torso and your phone was dialing Seonghwa as you fixed your appearance.

"Babe- what's wrong?" He asked.

You turned to look at him fully, now finally understanding the consequence of your actions. He bit his lip and pulled up his skinny jeans, making a move towards turning off the music.

"This was a mistake." Was all you said before slipping on your shoes and walking out the door.

San stared after you for a second, slightly angry at your short outburst but eventually composing himself.

Besides, you'd be back next week.

Another #zentangle lady while working through the craziness of life. First my transmission goes out on my car, then just as we were falling asleep, a pipe burst in the bathroom flooding the house. I heard it, but thought it was just my FIL making noise in the kitchen. He was in the kitchen thank goodness or it could’ve been much worse. We were up into the early morning mopping and using the shop vac to clear out the as much water as we could. I’m so thankful for my wonderful husband who worked by my side all through it and amazingly figure out the problem and fixed it himself this morning. I don’t think either one of us slept well worrying about how much it would cost to fix. We have spent today in and out of sleep in between continuing to clean up.
