This year's Johnica Week will start on Thursday 18th January and end on Sunday 21st January! For the first time the event will START on their wedding anniversary and continue throughout the weekend 🥰 But as always, don't worry if you're late! You can keep sending your contributions after the last day, these are simply indicative days to gather all together 💕

The Theme 🎁

The 49th Wedding Anniversary comes soon before the huge milestone of the 50 years together, and it's usually represented by various symbols that I added to the prompts: Zircon, Orchids, the color Purple, and luxurious gifts. The main theme of this year's event is GIFTS, the act of giving the partner something material or abstract as an act of selflessness, that can have various meanings and various reactions.

Like all the prompts, it’s up to you to follow the theme or not, consider it just as a general theme that you could build your entries around. I chose some prompts that might fit this theme, that are about gifts as physical objects or as ideas for situations or alternative worldbuildings.

Celebration: Luxury the 49th wedding anniversary is the step right before the big 50, also known as the Golden wedding. All the symbols represent the wealth of experience a couple has after being married for nearly five decades. Two people who are willing to work together and compromise and do all the things that make a marriage successful deserve to celebrate with a bit of Luxury.

A Shame

ShIp: Heizou x April | Word Count: 969 | Warnings/Tags: Food mention (like heavy), cheesy flirting hehe

A/N: so, here's the fic~ it's pretty much pure fluff (which is a good thing to post for a birthday, right?) anyways, I hope you all enjoy it! <3

When Heizou finds himself heading to Treats of Teyvat for the fifth consecutive day, he thinks it's finally time to ask out the cute barista/owner. The pastries and drinks she makes may be good but they're not what keep him coming back day after day. If he were coming simply for those, he thinks he'd likely stop in once or twice a week instead of this.

But April… Seeing her smile and hearing her laugh is what has him returning every day. He finds himself wanting to come up with more flirtatious lines to see which will make her smile (or maybe even blush) instead of relying on the same ones.

While he's always been one to easily gain crushes, he's never stayed hooked on someone like this for so long.

Just the other day he almost missed an important clue on a case because he was thinking about how she'd react if he kissed her knuckles! He's never that distracted while on the case.

April lights up when she sees him walk through the door and that solidifies his will. Before he leaves today, he's asking her out.

"Welcome back, Heizou." She says and his heart flutters a little. His name sounds so pretty from her lips. "What'll it be today?"

He racks his brain for the pastry he'd wanted to try next, smiling as she brightens more when he mentions it. His drink order is easier as it hasn't changed thus far and she nods.

"That's a great choice! Feel free to have a seat while I get that ready for you." April says with a smile and Heizou chuckles softly.

"Mm… Is a certain beautiful barista going to take her break to spend with me again?" He asks. It's happened a few times since the first, but not every day he's been in. Sometimes, she's too swamped to take the break at the moment.

A coy grin spreads across her face. "I think I can manage that. Only if a certain unfairly pretty boy goes to sit down." She giggles when his face turns pink at her throwing his words around on him and he goes to sit down as she's requested.

Heizou watches as she bustles around behind the counter to ready his order, smirking a little when she sets the sign on the counter that indicates she's taking a break.

"Here you go." April says as she sets down his food and drink, returning to the counter for a moment to grab her own. Every time she comes over without some kind of snack for herself, he always suggests for her to grab one so she's started doing it ahead of time.

They sit in silence for a moment as they begin to eat. As soon as he's taken the first bite of his pastry, she gets that look in her eye she does every time he tries something new. It makes him laugh softly. "This is good. Are you capable of making something I won't like?" He teases, chuckling more as her face turns pink.

"Mm, I dunno. You'll have to keep coming in here to see. Though… if you do order something you don't like. Tell me. I won't take it personal, I promise. I'd just want to give you something you actually enjoy." She says and he hums softly.

"Only if you let me pay for both." He huffs softly when she looks like she's about to complain. "Even if it's something not to my tastes, you are still the one who made it and thus, the one who deserves to be paid fairly for it. I will not let someone as precious as you be snubbed of something you deserve."

Her expression softens and the prettiest blush spreads across her face. The words to ask her out rise to his tongue but he barely restrains them, not wanting to cut off whatever response she'll make.

"You're too kind. But I'll accept that." She says with a smile. "You have a good heart, Heizou." She lets out a soft sigh. "It's a shame. Someone like you has to have their eye set on someone." Her words are quieter but not enough that he doesn't understand them.

"I do." He murmurs, continuing even as her expression falls slightly. "And she's sitting in front of me now."

April's eyes widen and she murmurs his name softly. Heizou smiles at her. "Actually, there's been something I've been wanting to ask you this whole time."

"That is?" She asks, raising an eyebrow as she sips at her drink.

"Would you like to go on a date with me?" He asks. Her eyes widen more and he's rambling words before he can stop them, mentioning that there's no pressure of anything more if she doesn't want it but that he simply had to ask.

Her laughter, bright and warm, cuts him off. "Of course, I would. That sounds lovely." Her smile melts him from the inside and he's grinning back at her instantly.

"Wonderful." Heizou says and she giggles softly. They plan out the when of the date while finishing up the rest of their food.

"Mm… My break's just about over and if I'm right, so is your lunch." April murmurs and he nods. "Then I hope the rest of your day goes well."

"Thank you. Yours as well."

They share a soft smile before Heizou comes up to the front to pay. "Now, will I be seeing you again before our date?" April asks and Heizou chuckles.

"Mm, most likely. I seem to have made a decent pattern of coming in every day…" He trails off and smiles as she giggles. "See you tomorrow?"

"Sounds good. Bye, Heizou." She waves at him as he leaves, both of them excited about the date to come.

Heizou... Where to start with him? Maybe for starters, I really want to kiss his moles (you’ll see in a second) but they’re so cute!! I love getting to spend time with him and I adore the fact that he tries to come in often to my bakery <3 Even if I can’t take my lunch break with him, it’s delightful getting to see him.

What’s This?

F/O: Heizou (Genshin Impact) | Word Count: 1132 | Warnings/Tags: None - it’s pretty fluffy

A/N: First meetings w/ Heizou :3 Honestly, it’s kind of silly how behind I actually am on posting these fics (like the list is long...) I should probably start uploading more often but enjoy this for now! :D

Heizou strolls through the streets of Inazuma City, humming to himself as he considers which of the many food stalls he wants to stop at this time. He just wrapped up a major case so he has a little extra time for lunch and he intends on taking advantage of that extra time to have something especially delicious.

"Hmm, what's this?" He murmurs. Maybe he spent a little too much time locked away at the agency, because he does not remember this building being used for something. He slowly approaches and glances at the sign in front, growing more and more curious.

"Hah, guess I know where I'm eating lunch today…" He says as he heads inside. Heizou instinctively stops and looks around once he gets in, though he knows he doesn't need to be on guard. If this business wasn't supposed to be here, Kujou Sara or someone from the Tenryou Commission would've put a stop to this.

He strolls over to just behind the counter to peer at the menu written out above in a pretty handwriting. Half of the types of pastries are unrecognizable to him, but given the paintings of other nations in the room, maybe that's not so surprising.

"Welcome in!" A voice greets him, accompanied by the prettiest laugh Heizou's ever heard. "I know it's a lot, especially your first time in, so if you want, I do have a menu that explains each pastry better."

Heizou laughs softly. "That would be helpful, thank you." He says and he finally looks down from the larger menu to the barista in front of him.

Woah. Now he certainly knows he's never been here, because he would remember meeting someone this beautiful.

"Here you go. Feel free to have a seat while you decide." She says, smiling at him and he nods, struck silent by how pretty she is. He heads over to an open table and sits down, taking a moment to allow his racing heart to slow before he opens the menu.

It takes a bit but soon he's decided on what he wants to try first. He returns to the counter, feeling strangely shy as he rattles off what he wants to order.

"Those certainly are great choices." She says. "I'll have that out for you in a moment. Why don't you have a seat?"

"Mm, I could. But it'd be a shame not to know the name of the most beautiful girl I've ever met." Heizou says. As confident as he sounds, he's still nervous. Not everyone likes being flirted with like this and they've literally just met.

The barista laughs again, her cheeks faintly red. "Ah, a charmer, are we?" His own face heats up and she laughs, a bit softer. "I'm just teasing. My name is April. And you are?"

"Heizou." He answers, a bit too quickly. But it simply causes her to laugh again. His heart flutters at the sound of her laughter.

"Take a seat, Heizou." She says with a smile that nearly has him melting. "I'll bring your food to you in a moment."

Heizou nods and returns to the table he had been sitting at, watching as she works to make the drink he ordered. As much as he doesn't want to be obvious that he's staring at her, his eyes keep returning to her no matter how many times he looks away.

Just as she said, April comes over to his table a few moments later and sets his food down in front of him. He blinks a little when she slides into the seat in front of him.

A coy smile spreads across her face. "It just so happens to be time for my break." She says. "You don't mind, do you?"

"Not at all." Heizou says with a grin. "I just wasn't expecting someone as beautiful as yourself to want to sit with me."

"Mm, well, you've definitely been the cutest customer I've had today, so that helps." She says, giggling when his face turns red at her words.

"Don't you want to eat something on your break?" He asks, the beginning of the question a little shaky. He certainly wasn't expecting her to flirt back, that never happens to him!

She looks unsure and he laughs softly. "Go on. I'm sure you have time." She nods and rushes off, returning quickly with a mug and a plate of her own. "There we go." Heizou murmurs, sounding pleased.

April giggles softly and the two of them start to eat. April watches carefully as Heizou takes a bite of the pastry he ordered. "How is it?" She asks after a moment.

"Amazing." Heizou murmurs, sounding awed enough that she can almost see stars sparkling around his head.

"I'm glad." She says with a grin. As the bakery owner, it's nice to hear that her baking is appreciated, but there's another layer to this in that she's glad that he's enjoying her baking.

"I'm definitely coming back here." Heizou says after a few more bites. "So many of those pastries sounded delicious - who knows if my favorite could come from another nation? Plus, getting to see you each time will be a treat in itself."

April laughs softly, her heart fluttering at how earnestly he said that. "Ooh, we've barely been open a few days and I've already gained a regular? How nice." She says. "Just from this, I already know it'll be a delight to see you in here more often."

"Is that so?" Heizou muses, causing April to giggle. The two eat in a comfortable silence and April collects the empty dishes.

"Sadly, my break must come to an end. You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like, though." She says and he hums softly, looking outside and judging the angle of the sun.

"It seems my lunch has also come to an end. But believe me, I'll definitely be back in here." He says, rising to his feet. He approaches the counter to pay for his pastry and drink, leaving a little extra Mora on the counter for her.

"Keep it." He says when she tries to give him the extra back, a cheeky grin on his face. "Use it to treat yourself. Someone as pretty as you should be spoiled often."

April laughs softly but sweeps the Mora into a separate pouch. "Have a great day, Heizou!" She calls out as he leaves.

"You too!" Heizou replies, stepping out of the bakery and into the warm sun, grinning to himself.

This has certainly gotten interesting. He hadn't expected to find someone who caught his attention as much as she did. He looks forward to getting to know her more.

Maybe something could come from this playful flirting.

Heizou certainly hopes so.

Man alive! It seems someone beat me to answering random questions, but eh. I’m still gonna do it. The happier we can make April, the better, right? Hehe - Heizou

7. I have a feeling you were the one to fall for s/i first. Were you the first one to have feelings for the other?

You caught me! I fell for her the instant I saw her. Now, crushes are not unusual for me, but when I kept coming back to Treats of Teyvat (her bakery) every single day... I knew I’d been hooked. I could tell she was a match made in Celestia, and look at us now! Seems my intuition is always right.

2. What have you been up to with s/i lately? Did anything fun happen in the last couple of days?

Of course! The weekend is always fun since it’s when both of our days off collide. Saturday was perfect since we had a bit of a lazy day, spending the entirety of it cuddling and staying in. Sunday, however, we went on a walk around the whole of Narukami Island. Now that fall’s here, the leaves are changing color and it was perfect getting to share in the scenery with her.

21. Date night! If you had to come with a dream date with s/i, what would it look like?

Ah, I think this is a bit too cheesy, but anything’s perfect so long as I’m with her. But if I had to choose something... I think doing some kind of escape room would be fun! I’d love to see how perceptive she is in that kind of scenario. Especially if we came home after and spent the evening snacking and cuddling together! That would be perfect.

9. Do you have any nicknames for each other?

Of course, we do. I call her all the typical ones like ‘love, sweetheart, darling’ and the like and she’ll do the same in return. I do specifically call her ‘my light’ as she’s the light in the darkness for me. Darkness comes with the job, I’m afraid, but I’ll be fine so long as I come home to her light every night. She’ll also call me her favorite detective and ‘Zou as a shortening of my name. I think they’re cute nicknames.
