I just think dark Wangxian where the fearsome Yiling Patriarch and his beloved Hanguang-Jun should see shy, sweet Wen Ning clearly bottling up a hell of a lot of anger and mutually decide that they’re keeping him. I think they should manipulate him into willingly joining them, letting them turn him into a sentient fierce corpse, and becoming their eternally devoted Ghost General who kills (and comes) on command. I think Dark Wangxian sitting together on a throne with Wen Ning kneeling on the floor between the two of them, his head on Wei Ying’s knee while Lan Zhan plays with his hair. That’s what I think.
