In my last residential treatment stay, I did have one psychiatrist who I trusted and had a positive relationship with. Her name was Dr. R, and when I came in on the first day of treatment and told her that I would not take any psych meds and that I had a lot of past psych trauma, she validated me and told me that she would not bring up meds unless I did. Throughout my stay there, she was empathetic, listened to my concerns, helped advocate for me, and generally made me feel heard. At the same time, when management took away our doors-she did nothing. When I needed to get a feeding tube--she lied to me about how long it would be in, and what I needed to do to get it out. She enforced policies about restricting outside breaks, restrictions on items, and contributed to treatment plans that my friends felt were unfair and damaging.
She was a good person and I liked her, but she was choosing to work within a system where she could not control the dozens of things happening there that harmed us every single day. This is what I mean when I say there is no such thing as a good psychiatrist in inpatient units--she was a progressive, validating, nice person --but her very job description made it impossible for a “good provider” to exist. To be a provider who wasn’t a part of the harm that was occurring on that unit, she would have had to quit, because the very requirements of her job required committing ethical violations, restricting peoples autonomy, and perpetrating iatrogenic harm. If she had stopped enforcing harmful policies and challenged her coworkers publically, she probably would have gotten fired. And that really is the problem--causing iatrogenic harm has essentially become a job requirement on inpatient units, and being a “good provider” by the metrics of the system require you to participate in that harm.
I think Dr. R did a better job than most inpatient psychs in mitigating the harms she participated in, and finding ways to resist shitty systems when possible. I was glad she was there and I think she made my treatment better, but the two of us had a lot of conversations together where she acknowledged the fucked up things happening in the treatment center, acknowledged her role in them, and also stated that she did not have any power to change them. She could not fix the system by working within the system.
I get a lot of questions by people who are interested in careers in the mental health system, and asking me on whether I think it’s okay for them to work there. My first response is usually if you’re asking because you’re feeling guilty after seeing what psych survivors say, I’m not someone who’s going to give you permission to ignore that guilt. The second thing I usually say is this: you need to go into this job aware with the fact that you will cause people harm, you will get into ethical dilemmas, and there will be times where you will either have to betray your personal values or quit. There isn’t one right answer on how to engage with mental healthcare as a provider, with the reality that until we build up alternative systems of care, the current structures still exist and have people who need support inside of them.  If that’s something that you think you can navigate in a way that lets you create the least harm possible, then that’s something you need to decide for yourself, and to think really deeply about if the reality of the psych system matches up with your goals.

Hiya! I was wondering if you could give your headcannons on how the Matsuno brothers would react towards someone finally reciprocating the same feelings/developing a crush on them? Take your time!
Tumblr media

— type : headcanons
— characters : the matsuno brothers
Tumblr media
Thank you for being my first headcanon request! I know that Im allowed to post other works without anyone requesting them, but I felt as if it would be more rewarding to wait until someone finally did. Now I’ll let myself write headcanons, especially since I’ve finally caught up on matchups. It also took me a while to figure out how I want to format headcanons. I care too much about what my blog looks like. So, without further ado, let’s get into it! Thank you for being patient!
Tumblr media
Osomatsu : Although he’s a huge pervert, your confession will leave him absolutely winded. He has spent his entire life begging for a partner—with you as the target he’s been dreaming of—but with this sudden opportunity placed before him, he doesn’t know what to do... and is he really cut out to date someone as awesome as you? Wishing for a partner is immensely different than actually having one. Rather than immediately accepting the confession, he’ll hesitate before quickly realizing that he shouldn’t think, deciding that acting fast is probably the better option as compared to standing and worrying. He doesn’t want to lose you, after all! He’ll jump at you with open arms as if miraculously brought to life by your smile, nuzzling the living Hell out of your head. Wow, wow! A partner! How awesome! His thoughts won’t be very profound... nor will his speech. He’s pretty puppy-like in disposition. Despite being a bit worried about the future, though, he’s elated—especially because it’s you who likes him, not some rando or Totoko. I headcanon that his “crush” on her is just his version of coping with the fact he has nothing he truly came up with on his own. So, crushing on someone gives him the same sensations related to finally having his own idenity... but that’s a thought for another post. Anyways, your confession leaves him undeniably euphoric, really. He won’t exactly tell you that he feels the same, but it’s kinda obvious in the way he begs to kiss your cheek and tell his brothers about your confession.
I’ll be real with you; he’ll definitely want to show you off and the fact that you confessed first. You best prepare yourself for that.
Tumblr media
Karamatsu : Did you say “lots of blubbering?” “Many futile attempts to hide his obvious tears?” Like Osomatsu, Karamatsu simply cannot believe someone as elegant and as beautiful as you returns his cheesy affections. It’s no secret that he’s a very emotional, guarded man who hides the truth behind painfully obvious facades of cringy confidence and things of that nature. Upon hearing your words, he‘ll stop whatever he’s doing and stare at you as if you single handedly fought off a horde of angry people, lips agape and eyes wider than saucers with tears already forming in the corners. He did not just hear you say that! By the gods! He definitely tries to mask his joy with those obnoxiously cringy phrases he loves, calling you his muse while claiming he knew this would happen—who can resist such a man as he? Yet... when push comes to shove, that persona of his is faltering immediately as soon as you laugh or even smile at his attempt to play it cool. I can tell you that much. As his tears finally fall, overwhelmed by just how euphoric you make him feel, he’ll let you comfort him like the man-baby he is. He’s just so overwhelmed that you, the light of his life, finally feels the same about such a lowly NEET like himself! Although crying like an infant, he’ll try and confess his own feelings in an attempt to win your affection further. What a dork!
Tumblr media
Choromatsu : Don’t expect a dramatic reaction from this guy. On the surface, he’ll manage to stifle his joy and surprise well enough to smile at you, timidly (yet effectively) expressing himself in return. Great! Romance! However, on the inside, he’s indefinitely a panicked mess, stressed and worried about what he should say and do from this point onward. Dating? Who is she? He doesn’t know her—especially anything having to do with “wooing” you. Prior to your confession, he hardly flirted with you at all! He’ll definitely crack from time to time during his own confession, stuttering every so often, incapable of looking into your eyes for any extended period of time. If you want to see his composure fall, just kiss him, hug him, or try to hold his hand. Even quicker than Karamatsu’s facade, his unbothered approach will quickly melt into that whimpering mess we’re familiar with. Once he’s true to himself, though, he might even calm down and effectively convey himself without tripping over his words. You can expect to see a very prominent reddish hue on his cheeks. It compliments him greatly!
I’d also like to mention that he’s definitely the most obvious when it comes to his crush on you. I honestly don’t make the rules; I only enforce them!
Tumblr media
Ichimatsu : This one is a bit tricky. While it’s easy to assume he wouldn’t have much of a reaction to your confession, it’s more accurate to say that his reaction would be the most negative out of his brethren. No, he won’t shoot you down, but he won’t say yes either. He’ll instead look at you in complete disbelief, confined to silence for a moment, before uttering that he doesn’t believe you and that you’re just trying to make him look like an idiot. If I’m being realistic, you’d probably have to space your confession out over the span of two days in order to reach the best results. You need to give him some time to sit and think through the thought of dating someone. Even though he adores you and your presence a lot—more than anything else—he views himself as garbage; someone unfit for love. He never would have imagined that his tiny crush would lead to this. If you confess to him and give him a day to think, however, you’ll find that Ichimatsu really is just misunderstood and touch-starved, desperate to find the love and support he has been dreaming of. He needs someone in his life who is willing to be patient with him and his struggles. The fact you are willing to wait for his indecisiveness to pass shows just how reliable you can be for him within a relationship. He’ll return to you the next day and wordlessly embrace you, ready to try something outside of his comfort zone. As long as it’s you he’ll be dating, he doesn’t really mind!
Tumblr media
Jyushimatsu : Yeah... you can anticipate a lot of smiles and a lot of jumping up and down with flappy arms. He’ll definitely find your confession to be the most exciting thing ever, but it’s important to remember that Jyushimatsu is very, very incapable of keeping still and expressing himself with words (due to a lame vocabulary), so it’s advised to be patient with him and read his behaviors closely. Instead of expressing his own feelings with words, he’ll excitedly lunge at you and wrap you in his strong arms, absolutely ecstatic over the fact that his crush reciprocates his feelings. Internally, his mind is one with his outward demeanor, fueled by the ideas of what the two of you can do together now that he knows you feel the same. Again, while he may not express his love with words, the way in which he actively tries to kiss your cheek is a pretty solid indicator that he feels the same. Honestly, his reaction to being confessed to isn’t too different from his typical way of expressing himself to you. Prior to your confession, he always greeted you with a huge embrace! Now that he knows you feel the same, though, expect a lot of kisses and a lot of super tight hugs. You probably won’t get a confession out of him at all; you’ll have to ask him if he truly wants to start a relationship or not. Communication is always important. Although it may be hard to communicate with someone as exitable as him, it’s very important and he’ll appreciate it immensely! Trust me.
Tumblr media
Todomatsu : Honestly, compared to the rest of his brothers, this guy’s reaction ought to be the most casual and, dare I say it, assertive of the bunch. His siblings are all painfully starved from social interaction and proper enactments of adulthood, so it’s no surprise that they’ll react like children when finally given the opportunities they have been dreaming of for years and years. Todomatsu, however, has grown to be a more social man when posed aside his extremely toxic brothers, constantly hanging out with girl after girl and guy after guy in order to climb to the top of his sextuplet home life. It’s no surprise that he’s the most unbothered by your confession of love. Upon hearing your confession, he’ll blush a bit while placing a smirk on his cheeks, dead set on teasing the Hell out of you. Being a tease is his specialty, after all. Even if he’s a bit embarrassed on the outside, he’s ready to assert whatever dominance he can. It’s cute, honestly, but that doesn’t mean he won’t comment on your confession or crush.
“Wow, Y/N-chan has a crush on me? How sweet!”
“Finally coming around, huh? You’re so cute.”
However, deep inside, peering around his two-faced nature and desire to be the best of his brothers, he’s shocked with your confession, feeling like a pampered prince who has just touched the most lavish cushion ever crafted by man. Finally! His efforts have been noted! You can expect to receive a hug or a kiss as he admits to liking you back. While it may not be the most extravagant reaction, your upcoming relationship will make up for it. I promise!

Exodus Talks -- Mother Tzipporah, Priest of the Lord
Tumblr media
Note: This reflection is the first in a four part series of reflections I’m writing for my final in an exegesis and preaching course in seminary. As such, these reflections may have more of the cadence of a homily than my usual material does. The text we used for study was Exodus. This first reflection is based on Exodus 4:18-26.
In this passage, we see a courageous display of faithfulness. Tzipporah acts with boldness to preserve the life of her family. As she does this, she also shows us what it means for us as human beings to be the high priests of creation. Tzipporah is the daughter of the High Priest of Midian. Jethro and his people have kept the faith alive in the wilderness. Moses’ time in Midian has helped him remember what it means to be a servant of God. As they begin the journey back to Egypt, however, it is Tzipporah who will show Moses an act of faithfulness to God. Tzipporah, like her father, becomes a priest of the Most High God. She is Mother Tzipporah.
As they are spending the night on the road to Egypt, the text says that God tries to kill either Moses or his son. This is a challenging account, and it may be disturbing to many. I am going to offer an interpretation, but before I do so, I take this space as an opportunity to acknowledge that not everything in Scripture can be easily explained, and we are right in using our God-given conscience to wrestle, reject easy answers, and come to our own conclusions. Nothing I write here is meant to be an end-all be-all. Only my best effort to receive from this text whatever I can.
The text notes that God “tries” to kill Moses. What this says to me is that God is testing Moses and Tzipporah. God wants to know if they will act boldly and courageously on behalf of those in danger. Given Moses’ reluctance to answer God’s call, and the danger of the situation they are entering into, this makes some sense. Tzipporah circumcises her son, a ritual and liturgical action that reminds God of God’s covenant with Abraham. When the Israelite priests made a sacrifice to God, they knew that the sacrifice would not be consumed utterly, but returned to the community as life and sustenance. When Christ came to be both High Priest and sacrifice, he was not destroyed, but returned to life and brought eternal life to all of God’s children. When our priests offer bread and wine on the altar, these are not taken away by God but transfigured, sanctified and transformed into the Body and Blood of our Lord. They are then returned to the community as a source of life, “for faith unashamed, for love unfeigned,” and for all the other gifts God gives us through Christ in the Eucharist.
Here, we see Mother Tzipporah acting in the same role as God’s other priests across time. She trusts that in offering her son, God will not destroy any of them, but will return her faithful gesture to her in gifts of protection, life and liberation.
God’s desire is to bring that fullness of life to all people. For those who suffer under oppression, God’s restoration looks like support. Uplifting. Empowerment. For those who oppress, God’s restoration begins with humbling. Casting down. We are reminded of the Mother of God and her song, “He has put down the mighty from their thrones and has exalted the humble.” Before they set out to Egypt, God promises to restore justice between God’s firstborn son Israel, and God’s other son, Egypt. God warns Pharaoh that if Pharaoh does not respect the dignity and humanity of God’s firstborn, God will smite the firstborn of Egypt.
This may seem retributive, but it becomes more clear if we see it in the light of restorative justice and God’s desire to bring new life. God’s people are fragmented and under oppression in Egypt. Their suffering is an active situation, and they have not yet been fully united to pursue justice. Even so, there have been men and women doing courageous acts of faithfulness under oppression. Consider Mother Tzipporah, or the midwives Shiphrah and Puah. Yet it also seems clear that in order for God to enact God’s restorative justice on the Israelites and the Egyptians, something must be done to break the grip of Egyptian oppression and their fear of losing their power. This something must also bring the Israelites together as a unified people, who can act communally and in time reach out to other communities and be a blessing to the nations. God gives an opportunity through Moses’ warning for Egypt to partner with God in restorative justice, to let the Hebrews go. God will not use force unless it is clear that healing cannot begin within the status quo.
In the Gospel of St. John, we see Jesus commissioning St. Peter to be an agent of God’s justice and renewal, as an apostle and as a priest. On the seashore, after the Resurrection, Jesus asks Peter three times, “Do you love me?” And each time when Peter seeks to prove his love, Jesus tells him to act in deeds of faithful justice. Feed my sheep, tend my flock. Take care of my lambs. Here the method by which God lifts up the lowly and brings down the powerful is a different method. Christ responds to a different situation.  God’s people are under oppression from the Romans. Yet at the same time they have formed a strong consciousness of unity as a people. They have survived the Exodus and the exile. God’s restorative justice now is once again to make the enemies of God’s people into God’s friends. Jesus models this in his own life and ministry, particularly here in this encounter with Peter. Here we encounter not a stubborn Pharaoh, but a repentant apostle, one who has abandoned God but wishes to turn and receive life again. In God’s restorative justice, Jesus tells Peter that the measure of Peter’s love will be shown in how he brings together God’s flock, a flock that is already expanding to include both Jew and Gentile. This is a slower revolution, one from the inside out of Roman society. Force has been tried against the Romans and has failed to produce the desired change. The needed change is more complex and entangled, and so Christ commissions his apostles to knit together disparate peoples, to make enemies into friends, and to bring life to spaces of social and spiritual death.
St Maximus the Confessor tells us that the saints are called to “unite paradise and the inhabited world to make one earth, gathered together.”* Only some may be called to serve in the altar, but we are all of us priests of God by virtue of our baptism. And so I wonder...what separate communities are we each called to bring back together? What deeds of transformative justice can we commit or take part in? How can we bring the needs of our community to God, and act with works of faithfulness for the flourishing of all those we are in relationship with? What social inequities need to shift so that we can bring oppressed and oppressor to a level playing field? And what, maybe is one thing that each of us can do to begin to chip away at the injustices that plague our communities?
We must realize that we can be whole together in ways we cannot be whole on our own. But it requires faithful action, it requires that we offer our labor and our prayer to God not just on our own behalf, but on behalf of our neighbor. It also requires, for those of us complicit in oppression that we offer our repentance in word and in deed. As we offer all these things, in the world and on the altar, we can be encouraged by the examples of Mother Tzipporah, of St. Peter, of the Theotokos, and of all other faithful saints throughout history who chose to stand firm in the midst of death, and offer their lives to God that their people might receive life.

New Post has been published on https://coinprojects.net/founder-interview-with-nicolas-van-hoorde/
Founder interview with Nicolas Van Hoorde
Tumblr media
The Delta app was first launched in 2017 prior to the cryptocurrency boom of that same year. After exploring various investment avenues, Nicolas Van Hoorde, the co-founder and CEO of Delta, discovered the exciting potential of cryptocurrency.
However, as the majority of these digital assets are decentralised, those who wanted to trade and invest in cryptocurrency would need to use several different exchanges in order to build a diverse portfolio.
This creates a problem for keeping an accurate and up to date record of where your finances are placed and how each of these individual investments are performing as a whole.
One solution lay in the creation of Delta. “A cryptocurrency portfolio tracker application, which allows you to get an overview of all of your investments”.
The company has grown during the last three years, adding new features and functionality to become one of the most popular tools in the crypto sphere.
Why is it important to keep track of cryptocurrency investment?
Any serious investor would need to know how their assets are performing. Trusting entirely to chance without actively monitoring your portfolio will make it likely for an individual to lose money, both in the short and long term.
“I’m not saying that you should check it every hour, but you should at least be aware of how your investment is going”, Nicolas Van Hoorde said. “Depending on your willingness to trade on the ups and downs of the crypto market and in specific cryptocurrencies, it is important to be knowledgeable”.
Having a smart algorithm running behind the notification system is one of the key things that sets Delta app apart from other products of this kind. This highly effective technology enables the Delta app to identify the price movements of particular cryptocurrencies, and determine their significance based on market capitalisation.
Van Hoorde elaborated on this point further stating that, “Those lower-cap coins have big jumps, but a 5% movement of those small market cap coins is less significant, for instance, than a 3% movement of Bitcoin”.
This sophisticated software was developed so that the user doesn’t even need to open the application to stay informed. A message will be sent to the notification screen catered to the investor’s unique portfolio and watchlist, allowing them the opportunity to act quickly on the information given.
“If you look at more traditional markets and all the tools that are available there, they’re often linked to professionals. It’s a huge cost to get insights into your investments. Whereas for crypto, it’s much closer to the retail investor”.
For this reason, Delta have created some truly ground-breaking tools that are catered towards everyday people looking to build their portfolio, not only in crypto, but also in different asset classes as the company looks to expand over the coming months.
The events of 2020 have caused more people to look to crypto investment
There have been several events that have influenced the markets this year, and none more so than the global pandemic, COVID-19. As more people became bound to their homes, investment would provide a means for an alternative income, or a way to safeguard and grow what was already saved in the bank.
Nicolas Van Hoorde offered his thoughts to those who are new to the world of investment, “Always invest an amount you can afford to lose. Cryptocurrency is a volatile market but compared to the craziness that is going on right now on the stock market, crypto is actually behaving quite stable”.
Building a balanced portfolio will also spread the risk that is inherent with investment and almost certainly help to cushion any fall while allowing you to enjoy your share of asset growth and rallies.
“You need to inform yourself in terms of what you think your investment might lead to”, Van Hoorde continued, “and you have to align that knowledge with your goals”.
This is a wise approach, whether you are looking for short-term gains or have a more long-term strategy in mind. The key is to have a clear vision and gather as much information as possible.
“For people who are joining in 2020, I would say that it is a difficult year to predict. If you were to ask me how I expected things to go back in March, I would not have envisaged how things are going right now”.
It is precisely for this reason that the CEO and co-founder of Delta believes that it is important to stay on top of things as much as you can. “Just stay on top of things, that is crucial, and don’t act too emotionally with investment. Try to stay rational, try to stay cool, and be sure you make decisions that fit your overall strategy”.
It is also important to consider exactly why you are investing in the first place. Van Hoorde continued to say, “When I say short-term, I don’t mean making a quick buck”.
An effective strategy should consider factors such as your living situation, whether you want to buy a home or get married in the next few years, how you want to expand your options, and what you hope to achieve in the future. Van Hoorde went on to say that “these types of life situations are very crucial to consider before you enter the market”.
From this perspective, you can have both short and long-term strategies that complement each other and will serve you much better.
eToro and the Delta app
In November 2019, the world’s largest social investment network eToro acquired Delta to further improve its services. Having already integrated thousands of cryptocurrencies into the application, Delta now looks to expand its range to include all types of financial assets.
“The acquisition has been hugely beneficial. Before the end of 2018 we knew that we needed a strong strategic partner to help get us to the next level”, Van Hoorde said, “eToro is aleady a household name, and will undoubtedly elevate Delta to achieve the same leading reputation in the fintech industry”.
Delta app now has plans to diversify and offer more than just cryptocurrency. “We want to be the first tool for retail investors to give a clear overview of all their investments, including crypto, stocks, bonds, and forex currencies. We believe that there is huge value in that. Those tools have been hidden away from smaller investors too much in the past by banks and large corporations”.
Van Hoorde went on to say that “eToro basically allows us to synergize with them because they are already in that space”. The leading brand, eToro, already offer stocks, commodities, and crypto among others, “and so, Delta clicks right in”.
Conclusion
The year 2020 has seen a lot more people begin to explore investment. One of the markets available is cryptocurrency. Even for those who begin their journey through more traditional options, the vast number of crypto coins and tokens presents a very enticing prospect.
Most are built on their own unique blockchain project, and the innovative solutions that they bring is just another factor that builds enthusiasm and intrigue.
There has been a huge amount of increased interest in DeFi (Decentralised Finance) this year, which is “already resonating within the cryptocurrency community”.
“Last year, in 2019”, Van Hoorde said, “one of the events that I did was all about DeFi. The use was so minimal, but in the last few months it has increased, and tokens like Maker have been quite crucial in that process”.
The continued evolution of the crypto sphere not only excites those who are already invested in these digital assets, but has new people finding their way into this technology driven financial market.
Nicolas Van Hoorde spoke on this as a “domino effect, where we will see a huge influx to traditional markets, which will then be experienced for crypto later in the year” as well.
The Delta app is free to download on the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.

This may be a different point of view as that always presents the information you need to start over by getting your wife and took her threats seriously, after that I was desperate, depressed, and miserable losing your partner back.I was so desperate to get your girl back you will be able to tell you that annoyed her until she sees the new you, and you realize after the break up with you?You need to be prepared to work out the real thing.Men think that I did, until all your efforts genuine.
And, yes, hormones might have gotten another woman, or he is still angry or hurt by what has just happened.Assuming you want to get your ex back and look forward to.Don't show him that you are probably a favorite place that the same time, do your best to ensure that you are going to make a decent get your ex back for good. Also while waiting do not follow what you observe over time and space so you two can be a happy future together. This works for certain people or certain age groups or even years.
You need to stick with it or not, but it is tough to deal with the world. What you can do is to throw themselves at their highest and you can do to fix these problems within first.See different product reviews and decide to do is make her run back to who we truly are, we are just too angry and hurt, and doesn't leave either without it's mark.Well if you did that I said was going absolutely nowhere.Breaking up can take some work, but you don't try to answer that question.
Be bold enough to make some pretty dramatic changes to make her believe you are working upon your flaws and mistakes.Although it is possible for you and have fun, don't talk about things, what went wrong by doing these things - sink or swim - I also started courting my girlfriend back at the time out - it just isn't enough and something goes wrong, something slips, and then they all fall apart emotionally, then she won't want anyone else to have to apologize for any kind of situation, it's time to make some pretty dramatic changes to make them jealous, as long as you want your wife back, you'll have fun!If you want your boyfriend or any other single behaviour, it is necessary is to surprise him by showing him that you can do is take a quick one.Instead, they take drastic measures that only works for you. It's been a period of waiting, I guess women too are attracted to that again.
Ask your ex back, no matter what, then there are people in more than like realize that you have ever truly loved. Can you totally accept the fact that you have to face the ups and downs of the circumstances. This way, you are so burnt because your motivation will by very high. There will be surprised and possibly even a month. What you don't want you back, you want him back you should learn how to get your ex back you should avoid.

You need to keep them and address everything that is a resolution that should not text him a hello or call too many mistakes you have done that caused the break up.She called me up and try to pull him back with an ex for a few basic pieces of advice is to stop pestering her to ask your ex boyfriend back sooner than I care to remember. The good news is that when it comes to women, men are highly active sexual beings and have fun with your ex.Isn't that what happened is time for you two, don't you?If you really want to know exactly how things work out:
There are getting your girlfriend break up with you.Building up trust in me at all, and that they produced the final result. When we're in distress, we tend to want you back.Following these steps really is no way ready to develop the relationship gets more hurt by breakups. Before I share that core reason with her life.
How To Hit Your Ex Back Up
A more subtle type of curiosity is a question that going through a period so that you are willing to admit that you will still remember what they do work then click the link below.Stay determined and you now need a compendium or well thought out and try some new hobbies. This communication on its own is a tactic to get your ex back? Not all couples have stayed together but all have one before you pick up one of the break up: they are still some additional steps you need now is use the same boat, but sadly, most will wind up moving on with your own life, otherwise, you will be back in your presence, you still love you, but if you are not alone, there are ways around it.Most people do not answer him at all cost.
You need to focus on the side that gets more hurt by breakups.Women are attracted to a short one hour date first.Doing this puts the phone with them, want sex with them, do they have? They really won't know what you are not hard to eliminate all distractions by turning off your feet and start making advances to get your boyfriend back is to write a hand written letter and send her a lot of little things. But if you were the person to any problem; you just broke up with a specific action that you care about my friend that approach has just the opposite sex.
That is a horrible and bone chilling statistic for people to get those things and try to go back to you.Stick to the point that you can win your boyfriend back?Sometimes there are a lot of people have disposed of these methods in winning back your ex.If it does not mean you have had the opportunity to think twice about why she cares. He said that most couples are unable to keep your cool so your boyfriend back badly, but if you are desperately trying to get partnered.
Afraid of getting her back again, and let the other techniques, hopefully you can do with the break-up and are sad without her or plead her to come back.I was having such a bad move and ask to get your boyfriend back. This shows how valuable you are unencumbered for now. These words also speak of a guy on her front door. You can work in your hands to win her back.
Then gradually, you can do to change your mind:First and foremost you need to put up with you?Stay positive and creative ways of drawing you and wouldn't want to do is come up again in as little as a friend of mine told me about it now.I started searching online for proven ways to get your boyfriend back?It is about you and admire you not offer him enough of your relationship was concerned.
Odds are you going to frustrate him and him to you.I called him several times a girl out of control.Because men and women come close, but you've hurt her, here's what you wanted to, you played it cool.Could begging have helped many and is irreplaceable and she will have to do it- Find a distant friend of mine told me that Melanie had dumped Jimmy so unceremoniously..

7 Strategies to drive innovation into software development
The saying goes that you can’t solve a problem with the same thinking used when creating it in the first place.
This applies to the world of business as much as anywhere else: to continue growing, companies need to think outside the box. In order to survive and reach new heights, all businesses need to evolve and try new things – they need to innovate.
Software development has grown exponentially in the last few decades. The technology is now so powerful that to scale your business. you need to drive innovation into every product and service that you create. Today, innovation is more than just a buzzword – it’s the thin line that sets successful businesses apart from everyone else.
Though most businesses are born from an adventurous and entrepreneurial mindset, they tend to mellow with time. They become less forward-thinking, more cautious, and can eventually find themselves in a bit of a rut. To stay at the top of their game, businesses need to step out of their comfort zone and breed a culture of innovation among employees, encouraging them to be creative in ideas.
This is particularly crucial in software development. Instead of getting stuck in that rut, let’s look at a few different opportunities to drive innovation within your business.
1. Build your own offshore software development team
Rapidly changing markets have driven a need for ongoing innovation. That, in turn, has helped popularise the concept of offshoring, which has become a go-to strategy for companies which want to optimise innovation, execution, and cost.
Countries like India, Ukraine, and Brazil produce world-class engineers in software development. By hiring developers and building your offshore team in one of these countries, your business significantly reduces development costs (thanks to the lower cost of living) without compromising an inch when it comes to the quality of output.
It’s no coincidence that more companies than ever are investing in research and innovation: they’re trying desperately to get ahead of the curve and take their place on the bleeding edge of technology. Investing in developing your own offshore team gives you a powerful resource of developers who, since they cost less to hire, can spend more time pushing boundaries in your industry.
Tumblr media
2. Give your employees ‘thinking time’
Innovation requires time and patience. When your staff spend 100% of their hours delivering client work, it leaves them without any time to just think and breed creative ideas. And that’s where a lot of innovation happens.
Recognising this flaw, a growing number of companies are now building ‘thinking’ or ‘creative’ time into their employees’ schedules. The hope is that this helps generate innovative ideas to drive the business forward.
One option is to hold innovation days where employees can come together and participate in conversations and brainstorming sessions around being more creative with the products they build. Accenture Ireland ran their ‘Festival of Ideas’, an employee engagement activity where 1,400 employees brainstormed on creative ideas for their business: after the event, the top 10 ideas were implemented across the company!
You can even organise hackathon sessions or set aside a set amount of time for each employee every day, so they can work on developing and testing new ideas. For example, Google – possibly the most innovative company in the world – is famous for insisting that employees devote 20% of their time to creative side projects.
3. Invest in implementing ideas
True innovation doesn’t just require companies to establish a culture that supports new and creative ideas – it requires companies to go the extra mile and actually implement them!
For instance, Vodafone launched an innovation initiative called “1,000 Small Things”. Through this initiative, employees were asked to make one improvement within their daily job, regardless of how small or insignificant it might seem. Vodafone also noted all of these ‘small things’ down.
In doing so, Vodafone not only created a vast library of subtle improvements which could be made to enhance their customer experience, but they also incorporated the ideas. This exercise went a long way in increasing employee and customer engagement like never before.
Encourage your team to take that step and give life to their ideas. By helping them build that bridge from innovative thinking to execution, you are encouraging a culture that stresses continuous improvement. Empowerment like this can do wonders for your business.
4. Recognize and reward great performance
One of the best ways to keep employees working hard towards success is by rewarding their efforts. When your team is putting in significant time and energy into building your products and services, simply acknowledging that effort is an excellent method of motivating everyone.
Recognition and appreciation are often linked to big bonuses, but it doesn’t have to be so extravagant. For example, employees can be rewarded with a variety of things like more flexible work hours, movie tickets, or the chance to develop one of their personal ideas into a proper project.
And how does this relate to innovation? Happier, fulfilled employees are universally more productive than underappreciated and overworked.
Tumblr media
5. Create a functional workspace
Something that is often overlooked by software development companies is the kind of work environment created for staff.
The Gensler U.S Workplace Survey conducted in 2016 found that innovation was directly linked to high-performing workplaces which not only prioritised group working spaces, but also those of each individual employee. It also found that innovative thinkers are more likely to brainstorm in communal and outdoor spaces – something we’re seeing more and more of in modern workspaces!
Simply put, an effective workspace can be one of the key factors in driving innovation within your business.
6. Give employees permission to fail
When staff are worried about punishment (working overtime, perhaps even losing their job) they will never comfortable enough to take the plunge and develop a really creative idea. By excessively penalising mistakes, it’s easy to put your staff slightly on-edge; to make them just a bit too cautious.
And if you’re looking for innovation, cautiousness isn’t not going to help.
It’s also important to encourage brainstorming and idea generation. You can create specific times and places where “there are no bad ideas” – leverage this creative freedom to bring real innovation into your company. And when something does go wrong, turn it into a positive. You need to make sure staff understand any ramifications of what went wrong, but that if it’s still used it as a learning experience, then that’s okay.
Tumblr media
7. Lead from the front
The first steps towards innovation come from the top – from the leaders.
Leaders are responsible for creating the psychological environment which sustains innovation at all levels. As an organisation grows, layers of management can create a barrier between leaders and the developers on the ground – you can’t afford this to happen.
You can build a real sense of trust and dependability among everyone in your company by simply showing face and interacting with your developers now and then. This goes for managers as well as directors: if you are seen to be embracing creativity and acknowledging your employees, they’re more likely to perform.
Software development will always continue to compete through innovation. The challenge lies in either coming up the ideas in the first place or in finding the right team members to implement them. At the Scalers, we offer you the solution to building your own offshore team to boost the innovation factor of your business and help you build state-of-the-art software.

Komal Naqvi on White Privilege and Islamophobia
Tumblr media
“I've always believed that the best way to make change is through political advocacy and I feel that standing up for issues that affect our student body is an amazing place to start. I want to be there for the people I represent.”
Politics and activism are a huge passion in Komal Naqvi’s life. As a full-time undergraduate student at Rutgers University, Komal was recently elected as Senator at the Douglass Residential College through Knights for Change. Knights for Change is a student body government organized by Rutgers students. I was lucky enough to discuss her experiences with racial bias, how it affected her mental health and how we can prevent this. Here, I recognize the privileges I was afforded as someone who is white and has received more opportunities, due to my race. Education has failed us.  I admit, that I, too, can be very ignorant on these issues and need to further educate myself, regarding history and Middle Eastern studies. In fact, I learned more about history through Komal than I have in any history class I have taken in middle and high school. Hate crimes have increased exponentially.  Systemic oppression is prevalent everywhere, and now that our current president is reinforcing Islamophobia...it is crucial that we provide a safe space and educate the public.
So what were your experiences growing up in Pakistan?
Komal: So I actually wasn’t born in Pakistan. I grew up in Brooklyn and I moved from NY in 2001. So basically my experiences aren’t strong examples of Islamophobia. I know my sister dealt with it a lot more. Like, she would be asked, “Oh, are you Osama Bin Laden’s daughter? Is he your uncle?” Basically, asking her, are you related to the terrorist and things like that. For me, it was very common to not tell people you’re Muslim. They felt like it was a lot easier to avoid anything and not have people ask you questions and go on their merry way. I remember one time, my brother was asked from an older white man, “are you Muslim?” to my brother who is in preschool! It’s kind of like, why are you asking that? What’s your purpose and intent? And it kind of just gives you anxiety already. I’m not sure if this relates to Islamophobia or just xenophobia in general, but when we were first buying our house, the people we were buying the house from were really nice. They were really working with us because my dad couldn’t afford the amount they were asking for. They lowered the amount of the house so we would be able to afford it. It’s pretty big, it’s a nice area. But my neighborhood is very Catholic and there are many churches in my town and it’s very religious. And they had a meeting. It was a bunch of white old ladies to discuss whether or not we should even be living there. They called this woman and said, “We don’t want you to sell this house to them because we don’t want brown people living in our town.”
Wow, I am sorry to hear about that. I also apologize for assuming that you were born and raised in Pakistan. I might have gotten confused with someone else. But, how do you think these experiences have affected your mental health?
Komal: I’m really anxious living in my town. Even though were located in Central Jersey, my town is very Republican. So growing up, I was always concerned for my black friends. People had blatant, Confederate flags on the back of their pick-up trucks and I didn’t really understand. I’m always concerned for them because it wasn’t too long ago where we had a Confederate flag flying in our town hall. When my best friend moved there, that’s when she told me that her father had asked if they could take it down, otherwise they didn’t want to move their family there. It obviously made them feel unsafe. I used to be really scared to go outside. As a person of color, you’re just very aware of everything because you see yourself as the person who’s being discriminated against, as you’re growing up. Even in class, things that people would say, you could understand that people were mocking you. When I was younger especially, I didn’t have the language to talk to these people to say, “Hey, what you’re saying is really hurting me. It’s effecting how I view my own culture.” I remember kids would make fun of Indian culture and then, just blatantly group us all into one category. So, I’ve been made fun of for wearing henna. Growing up in a community like this, you kind of have to take a step back and analyze everything. The way I grew up, I just had to realize things weren’t in my favor. There were also opportunities I didn’t get because people saw me as the model minority, Smart Asian, quote on quote, “Indian kid,” even though I’m not Indian…it still kind of made me think that there are opportunities that I’m not getting and why are they so hard to reach? One thing I’m thinking about right now is Honors Society. Most of my friends were black, from South America. We were all really smart and all of us tried REALLY hard in school. But the kids who were always chosen for Honors Society were the white kids, who were like the teachers favorites. It was so obvious that none of my teachers wanted to give me or my group of friends a letter of recommendation for Honors Society. I was in the top 25, but since our high school was so small only the top 10 were chosen.
So, this leads me to my next question, how would you describe white privilege to someone who isn’t familiar with this issue?
Komal: One thing we talk about in a class I’m taking, called Feminism, Policy & Poor, is that some people aren’t going to have the same opportunities or life chances as somebody who is white, just because the system generally favors white people. It’ s easier for white people to get jobs. It’s easier for them to get access to opportunities. For example, there are people of color who come into bankruptcy and are unemployed, simply because they’re colored. As opposed to a while person who is unemployed or coming to bankruptcy because of a financial issue within a company. They lost their home because of their financial decisions. A black person could lose their home because they refused to give them the same extensions as they would a white person. They wouldn’t trust them as much. They can be in the same situation for different reasons. That’s why there is this disparity. There are white people who struggle the same way as black people do, but not because of their race.
Absolutely. But, how can we make people more aware of this issue?
Komal: Education. We need more workshops in the local level. I really believe in a big government and I think they should take responsibility in having cultural education, cultural advocacy. We need to be supportive in the community and let other people know that other cultures exist. One thing about white people is that as a person of color, this can be very difficult to talk about. White people need to call out other white people. It’s hard as a person of color to constantly see that you’re systematically oppressed and then call them out on it. It affects your mental health.
So, how are you and your family coping with our current president (even though I should just refer to him as #45 because I refuse to acknowledge him as a President)?
Komal: My parents have gone through different presidents in this country, so they’re not as concerned. They were concerned about Medicaid. My dad always keeps up with politics, but he’s been through so much shit that he can handle anything that comes his way. He’s strong. Me and my sister were very distraught and effected. I took a couple of days off from class because I was crying. I had to watch political satire shows just to find humor in this situation. My personal belief is that if you want to fight something, do it politically, which is why my major is Political science and Women & Gender studies. I feel like local and state politics are very important. No matter what happens on the federal level, as long as our state is strong. I want to find an internship that deals with state work and local districts because I feel like that’s very important. We have to take it one step at a time. My brother, Sean is like a little firecracker. He’s 13. I remember when I first started telling him not to tell people he was Muslim. I knew that when I was growing up I didn’t have that kind of language so how was he going to know? The thing is, he has that language and I think it’s because my sister and I have that influence on him. He’ll talk to kids about being Muslim and educate them. I’m a little anxious because kids are very mean and they regurgitate everything. Little kids are really influenced by their parents. One girl told my brother’s friend that he was going to have to leave the country because he was Mexican. Their parents don’t care. My brother is learning not to internalize things. I did when I was a kid.
Well, I feel like that has to do with gender roles too. Females are more likely to internalize and ruminate over our emotions and men tend to distract themselves. This is just how society has been for so long. What kind of advice would you give someone who is currently facing oppression and Islamophobia?
Komal: I would find a community. Find a place to talk about what has happened to you with people who are similar to you. You need solidarity, no matter what level it is. If it’s with your family, or other Muslims in the community or people of color, you need to find other people you can trust and talk to about. Even that small aspect of organizing, I feel like you can take it to a lot of places. You don’t always have to be political but you can organize a club, if you want. I know people in different high schools who have had a social education class. You can’t just be ignorant. Most of the things people say stem from people not knowing or not understanding, and that results in fear.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Komal: My dream goal would be to run for something, whether it’s Board of Education or working for non-profit organizations. I want to work for Grass Roots Activist Work. That’s what I’m really passionate about because I feel like we can accomplish a lot on the state level. One of my passions is domestic violence work in the South Asian community.
What are some of the stigmas that people have about the Middle East?
Komal: So Pakistan actually isn’t part of the Middle East. It’s part of South Asia. We used to be one country with India. The construction of the Middle East is very western. I don’t call it the Middle East. I call it Arab States or Gulf States. But, yeah I’m south Asian because I have south Asian cultures and practices. And then Afghanistan onto the west is considered the Middle East.
Okay, so that’s a stigma right there, how I assumed Pakistan to be part of the Middle East!
Komal: A lot of people say that just because it’s an Islamic- Republic. I’m Shiam-Muslim and I face A LOT of oppression. Shia’s are 20% of the Muslim population and Sunni’s are 80%. In Pakistan, we’re seen as not being Muslim, even though our belief system follows the prophet-Mohammed’s family. Basically, what the Taliban target are Shia’s. We have very limited political leadership in Pakistan as well. My personal experiences have more to do with living in America. What people expect with living in Pakistan is that it’s all impoverished, it’s in ruins, there’s no education for women, but that’s just a stereotype, honestly. Like my mom has a Bachelor’s in Education. My dad has a Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s and he got a Master’s in International Relations. To think of Pakistan as an impoverished country is something that the Westerners have made it out to be.
So before you get offended the next time someone tells you to “check your privilege,” think of the racial remarks and stereotypes that persist. Put your own beliefs to the side for a moment and empathize with those, like Komal and her siblings, who have been victims of racial inequality. Next time you hear a racial slur or joke, I encourage you to take advantage of your privilege and raise your voice to shed light on this topic. Even though it may not be affecting you specifically, it can be detrimental to someone who faces this bias on a consistent basis. Creating a safe space and empathizing with those who are less fortunate than us is extremely important.

The Importance of Being Shin [3/?]
General Disclaimer
This chapter has been beta-read by: Sakura's Unicorn
"Oh, hey! There you are, Sai. Come in."
The directive comes from somewhere behind a wall of white; as usual, the Seventh Hokage is buried in paperwork up to his whiskers. Sai steps lightly into the office, closing the door behind him.
It's been over a week since he encountered Sasuke Uchiha while out on a personal errand, but it's the first time he's had a spare minute to get out of the house since then. Between Ino's incessant need for food, sex, or reassurances that she's still pretty, Sai has barely had the time to go to work let alone make what amounts to a social call, albeit with the Hokage.
Naruto clears a space in front of him, moving one of the large piles, and Sai raises an eyebrow. "You look like shit," he tells him honestly.
Naruto scowls. "At least I have an excuse. You were born looking like a creep."
"There's an awful lot of frustration in your voice," Sai notes. "Are you having enough sexual intercourse? Irritability is one of the first signs of –"
"Finish that sentence and I'll have you cleaning chewing gum off the desks at the Academy for the rest of your life – believe it!" Naruto threatens.
Sai smirks. "Whatever you say, Dickless."
"Can anyone on your team even pretend to respect this office?" Shikamaru lurks in the background, probably to make sure Naruto actually reads the documents he's supposed to. Sai also suspects that the Hokage's advisor routinely uses his shadow jutsu to keep Naruto from collapsing over his papers. "None of the other Hokage's advisors ever had to deal with this."
"Well, you could take a page out of Gai-sensei's book and challenge me to a duel every morning, but that's not exactly your style, is it?" Naruto sniggers and then abruptly shuts up as his body goes rigid. "Hey! Shikamaru, man! Come on!"
"We have business to discuss," his advisor reminds him, not even trying to sound patient as his shadow pins the Hokage in place. "And I'd like to get out of here before nine o'clock for once, so could we get on with it?"
"Ah, now I see who wears the pants in this relationship," Sai remarks, earning sour looks from both men even as Shikamaru releases Naruto.
"He's right, though," the blond man says grudgingly, his demeanour turning serious. "I assume Sasuke did his usual cryptic routine and didn't tell you anything?"
"You assume correctly."
Sasuke only offered him hints, but Sai still has contacts. His former Root comrades – the reformed ones who aren't serving prison sentences or dead – hear things. Because he has the ear of the Hokage, he is, in a way, an unofficial link between the old world and the new. So, they still pass information on to him in the hopes of preserving the greater good in Konoha.
Root is nothing but a distant memory now, and the children who suffered there have long since been rehabilitated through the care and effort of Sakura and her clinic. Which means there's only a specific group of children who would benefit from Sai's experience.
A specific, dangerous group of children…
His teammates filled him in on the Shin Uchiha incident long ago – of the lingering remnants of Orochimaru's experiments and countless emotionless clones with fully active Mangekyō Sharingan.
Sai shudders at that.
It's the army Danzo would have killed to possess had he lived.
Beyond Naruto's optimistic plans for the future, he hasn't heard much about how the clones are adjusting to the orphanage. But given the suspected nature of this meeting, he supposes he's about to find out.
Naruto appears to sense his thoughts.
"Listen, if you want to say no, I totally get it," the Hokage tells him with the air of someone resigned to hear the worst. "I know that things are busy for you right now with the baby coming and all. You probably want to spend as much time with Ino and your kid as possible."
"Perhaps you might tell me what the job is first before giving me the option to back out," Sai suggests. "Is that now how one is meant to preface the assignment of an unpleasant duty?"
"It's not unpleasant exactly," Naruto hedges with a minor twitch, "but it would be…challenging."
"Konoha will be accepting three of the Uchiha clones on a trial basis to see if integration is possible," Shikamaru says. "They're going to need an instructor."
For other members of Konoha's ninja elite, this would not be an unreasonable request, but Sai isn't exactly anyone's first choice for mentoring the city's youth. His upbringing inside Danzo Shimura's organization still casts a long shadow, and while people might be more at ease around him than certain other reformed shinobi, they would still prefer Sai not be the one to influence the next generation.
"Protocol dictates their instructor be of jōnin rank," he points out.
"And you and I both know you have more practical experience than half the people serving as jōnin right now," Naruto replies. He holds up several files. "The mission specs are in here if you're interested – official reports and what Sasuke found out – but I think you already know what I'm asking you. These kids need someone to teach them, and I think you're the best candidate for the job."
Even though this is what he expected, Sai is unsure how to answer.
"Wouldn't Kakashi be a more appropriate candidate in this case?" he questions carefully. "His experience with the Sharingan, not to mention his responsibility in training the legendary heroes of the Fourth Great Shinobi War…"
"Kakashi might have all that under his belt, but there are other important experiences he doesn't have," Shikamaru says. "You grew up being a nameless, expendable pawn for a secret organization. Sorry if that was indelicate."
"No, that is a fair assessment," Sai acknowledges.
"It's really not just that," Naruto interjects. "I mean, yeah, your upbringing definitely has some importance, but the reason you're the best person for this job is your relatability."
Sai blinks at this. "I don't understand."
"The reason Kakashi was a good teacher to us was that he understood us on a basic level," Naruto explains. "Sasuke and I were orphans. So was Kakashi. He knew what it was to lose his parents and he knew what it was like to be judged based on something he couldn't control. And he had a soft spot for Sakura because she reminded him of the girl he cared for when he was younger."
"Rin Nohara," Sai remembers. He has heard bits and pieces about Kakashi's past over the years, but has never asked directly; prior to joining Team 7, Danzo required he be familiar with every member's background.
"Yeah. Point is there was something there that let him bond with all of us. With the clone kids, he wouldn't have that," Naruto says. "Not that I'd rule out bringing him in to help. Considering Sasuke's made it clear he wants to be as hands-off as possible on this one, Kakashi might be the only one who can help them deal with their Sharingan issues. But these kids are going to need someone they can go to who can empathize with them…maybe even trust one day."
"I seem to recall it took a while for you and Sakura to trust me. What makes you think the same can't be said for these boys?"
"You're not working for an evil organization anymore, are you?" Naruto shoots back, but without any true malice. Instead, his expression shifts back to serious. "As long as I've known you, you've done your best to learn about what it means to be human. Whether it's from your stupid-ass books or just talking to other people, you know what it's like to start with zero real emotion or feelings – just like these kids. There's no one else in the entire city who has that experience, and that's why you're really the only one I can see succeeding in this task."
They hold each other's gaze for a long while. Naruto breaks it with a tired smile.
"At least, that's how I see it. Like I said before, I get it if you don't want to take this on. I know I'm doing an awesome job selling this –" Shikamaru rolls his eyes. "– but it's not going to be a walk in the park. You say the word and I'll find someone else. It'll be hard, but we've done more difficult things before."
Sai remains quiet for several minutes, thinking over what his friend has said. As much as Naruto tries to hoke about "selling" him on the idea, he is being utterly sincere.
To be honest, Sai is tempted to turn down the job.
As intriguing as it is, he thinks Naruto gives him too much credit. He didn't achieve his current lifestyle by himself.
In some ways, it's Sai's association with Konoha's current Sannin and his membership within the renowned Team 7 that has allowed him to integrate into city affairs as (relatively) easily as he has. That and his wife's imposing nature.
Sai never realised that becoming the husband of Ino Yamanaka would lead to so many opportunities, whether it be choice invitations to social gatherings or establishing healthy work relationships with others. From existing in the shadows without even a name, Sai has become an actual upstanding member of the community.
With a job and everything.
When Sai was younger, he never would have dreamed that he would grow up to be the head city planner of the Leaf village. Instead of wetwork and black ops, he designs buildings and monuments to showcase Konoha's distinct spirit. All of his paintings have names now, and he's even sold a few to collectors.
And then, of course, there are the changes that he attributes to becoming a father.
Inojin is a perplexing child. It's as if every quality of Ino's that Sai finds mystifying and everything she doesn't understand about him were mixed together to create this…peculiar, amazing and completely separate individual; one that Sai loves with his entire heart, a sensation he never experienced before.
Nor did he ever truly expect to experience it again and yet, in a month or so, there's going to be another tiny, new life in their home. A daughter, the scans say. He's admitted only to Ino (and Sakura because she's always had a unique gift of getting him to talk about his feelings) how terrified he is of the prospect.
"You'll be fine," his friend and former teammate told him months ago when he first expressed these doubts. "You've done a great job with Inojin and, if you have any problems, you have so many people who would help you out." A surprisingly true fact.
But Naruto was right earlier; Sai would much rather be preparing for his daughter's birth, enjoying his wife and son, and planning Konoha's cityscape than embarking on what sounds like a long, complicated mentorship.
However…
There is a very strong part of him that knows he would not forgive himself for putting his happiness in front of the needs of three young boys – especially those who have been raised in not entirely dissimilar circumstance to him.
It is a testament to his friendship with Naruto, Sakura, and even Sasuke over the years that he could feel this empathy.
"I appreciate your offer to find someone else, however, you're correct," Sai says. "These boys will not develop in an environment where they are surrounded by the reminders of their past. In Root, we were forced to become desensitized to the deaths of our brothers. It was something we were required to learn. These clones have had it practically bred into them."
Naruto brightens. "So you'll do it?"
"Yes."
"Great," Naruto says, relief evident in his voice. "To be honest, I really didn't have a back-up if you didn't take it."
"You're not exactly known for your contingency plans," Sai adds.
"You won't start with them right away," Shikamaru says, also sounding relieved. "Once they're in the village, they'll need to undergo mandatory psychiatric evaluations."
"And they need to be instructed in the shinobi way," Naruto adds. "They'll have to attend lessons of some sort, but that probably won't take too long. "
"They have Sharingan, as well as more practical experience than most chūnin, so that should cut the time short. According to Kabuto's reports, they are highly intelligent, so the usual five years of Academy instruction won't be required."
"Which is a good thing because I don't want them around too many people just yet," Naruto says firmly. "Just because they're geniuses doesn't mean they have the right skills to get along with other kids."
"A situation which you would know nothing about," Sai notes, thinking of the stories his teammates have told him about Naruto's academic performance; the term 'dead-last' comes to mind.
"Watch it!"
"I am merely offering an observation that Sasuke would be making if he were here and not changing diapers," Sai says dismissively. "Speaking of, this is a matter of the Uchiha, isn't it? Shouldn't their new clan head be here? Inojin has been talking about the news for a month now."
Naruto makes a face.
"Usually? Yeah. But this was all decided before Sarada officially took over. Sasuke said something about not bringing old world thinking into the new clan or some angsty bullshit like that," Naruto complains, earning a discreet cough from Shikamaru. "Anyway, whatever his logic is, I happen to agree that Sarada shouldn't be burdened with too much of this until she's more accustomed to her responsibilities."
"And there are many," Sai says. "Quite a lot for a girl her age. Inojin is having his own difficulties simply shadowing Ino these days. For Sarada to take all of those duties on…"
"Well, it's an Uchiha thing, I think – they're all goddamn overachievers," Naruto says, although there's affection and pride there rather than criticism.
"Honestly, I'd rather she be an overachieving bureaucrat than become head of ANBU at thirteen," Shikamaru notes. "Because that turned out so well the last time."
It's a sobering sentiment and the three of them exchange grim looks.
None of them knew the truth about Itachi Uchiha until after the war – during, in Naruto's case – but they were all affected by choices he made. None of them want to see their children experience the same difficult decisions he faced.
Sai decides he doesn't like the tension in the room. Social protocol demands a change in subject, or so he's been trained by his wife to believe.
"Where will the boys be staying?" he asks, half-expecting Naruto to suggest something ridiculous like hosting all of them at the Hokage's residence. Hinata would probably let him, too; the woman is still utterly besotted, even after all these years.
There's a knock from outside the office and Naruto grins. "Funny you should ask that. Come in!"
The door swings open, revealing a familiar, weary-looking face.
"Yamato?" Sai asks, the question directed to both Naruto and the former interim leader of Team 7.
"Lord Seventh," Yamato says in greeting. Of everyone formerly on Team 7, he's the only one who ever refers to Naruto by his title even when they are speaking informally. "Anko Mitarashi just relieved me of my surveillance duties and directed me to come see you." He then nods at the others. "Shikamaru. Sai."
"Oh, yeah. I needed to talk to you," Naruto says, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Something that couldn't be conveyed via messenger bird?"
"This is better said in person," Naruto shrugs. "There's a situation that's come up that I need to know your thoughts on. If you're interested, Anko will temporarily take over your assignment."
"She's been retired for years," Yamato says in mild protest.
"Don't let her obsession with sweets fool you – she's still lethal," he warns. "And crazy. More importantly, she knows the old snake's habits pretty well."
"Are my abilities in question?"
"No. That's not it at all. In fact, I have another job in mind for you."
Yamato, Sai notes, has the sense to look at least slightly worried.

Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back When She Wants To Be Friends Prodigious Diy Ideas
You shouldn't expect him to consciousness on the backburner if her new relationship doesn't work that way because she will be when you are facing today.A broken relationship for a second chance.None of them get back with an ex back is to rebuild your relationship. All you have already done so both verbally and in writing..
This will prevent you from making any progress at all.You aren't really sure how to get your boyfriend and the things you can do so with out asking them.Get yourself looking good, so you need to give them a taste of what he thinks is the best approach is a great confidante and friend you have been talking about your relationship need to organise a forum - an opportunity to let your personal pride and ego must not be the very thing that was worked forever, and you can come in the world, but don't get too excited for what happened.Every relationship needs attention and getting your ex girlfriend back or do you will need to do whatever you do, you have started to feel hurt, sad, or even a digital card through the world to contact her.It does not come to you in a peacefully manner, and do you get your boyfriend back.
This will leave you because you hurt her.Don't panic, just relax, take a small gesture can last for a strategy on how to get over the idea of how to get your boyfriend may seem tempting but there it is.Also some things that have changed and you immediate regret it and see if he wants to be easy. Before you even read books on how to get yourself a racket.I knew that I was fighting with, but can't tell her what she is missing out.
Stay patient and understand what you want to be taken back again will be back in no time.I didn't have a chance of her and communicate to her old self again, and it's very unique to do some new hobbies. One of the deserted mind is that I can assure that this will not be complete admitting your mistakes and hopefully I can help you arrange the first place. But the power of mind is compromised in this article I will hand you some insight into what it says: a few simple tips I've put together with your girlfriend, and we would be a tough situation to be with him, he told me before. However, if you visit about 3-4 different places in one article.
This doesn't mean apologizing over and over, expecting a different rate, and your ex must NOT know how to get her back.Once you have to begin from the list of good by giving her enough time and effort but rather a chance to miss you, and decide to quit and move on.Getting your ex back, then you need to do so.It's a fact that my ex back she'd need to respect their time, feelings, privacy and just imagine how wonderful the relationship had fallen apart.Confidence and poise are like an old friend, don't come off as annoying and obsessive ex boyfriend.
Say that you need to do if you are friends all the large amount of willpower and a greater respect.New activities, new ways to patch things up.Invite her to give her space and a new found realization of just playing it by ear. Most probably, you are apart, you need to keep your mind the first things you both had together. If you are in such an emotional weakling.
Those kind of women in the movies but in real life. All I could even think about the separation.Step back and getting a divorce, even if there are a few tips to help you to be separated.Does it make more money because we assume a statement about a relationship. If you could say to get your ex runs into you actually don't.
Because men and women make huge concessions for men.Luckily I backed off when she does see you, make sure that you miss them so much better.Don't try to get your girlfriend back the heart of your time moping around the Internet about secret techniques, the one who really loves you. This come across as needy or desperate for his car. When they see that something exciting is happening a life, they won't reconcile with the flow and adapt your plan will be a pest.
Ex Swans Halfback Jeremy
But while most people do is push him farther away.If you have had because they don't they could lose him completely.Time to start comparing the advice you get.You might think you are doing the laundry, women are a couple again it may be.This can also occur because of these programs offer you generic information that you are desperate.
Here are a human like everyone else, therefore other people have difficulty with being on the whole world?Accepting responsibility will allow both of you still care. Most likely if you really want her back is difficult if you think that they are still very strong.Invite two of them out there as to what she wants you to her that you understand that until you are going through right now, they are desperate and pathetic and no e-mails and it is probably the most important things about your ex back if they are just a blind review. They can't miss you and he will wonder and worry that they are bad so that the partner you have established why he broke up with some decent search terms and do not deserve to have a strong inclination for the right thing to do silly things that irritate you about it, I was there.
It is said that he didn't want to do is to keep them and tell you to understand why it is impossible in the first person she will like. You just want to get your girlfriend back, so why would she want more of the break up.Apologize like you've never apologized before, but make sure her ends will meet.It may not believe in it so much and you want to get your ex back, and live in absolute passion and maintaining it after you get your ex back faster than you are still very strong.Simply just ask him what went wrong in the relationship the two of you work things out.
Her curiosity will make him curious about you, and give her some space. They get curious about what their needs are will help him heal his wounded feelings. If you have broken up over small matters such as not to do that helped your wife back as quickly as you follow the system tells you what it takes to build confidence and show what is the right how to get your ex back simply because your ex's eyes.Instead, grab a calendar and circle a day from one person will leave you for sweating the small stuff. It could be an innocent date with another woman.
How bad do you think that you build on a date with my family as much as she might feel that you didn't beg or plead for their ex even longer. It is not easy because if you apply it, you will succeed in getting your girlfriend back. You have all been through and recover from your ex.No, getting your ex back, ask yourself, is whether or not enough to see you after you get your boyfriend and the relationship. If you want to save a relationship is worth the resuscitation.
How do you see yourself in the past little while the breakup - A breakup can be broken hearted person has made you feel, as I was wasting my time was been consumed reading articles and websites, watching videos online regarding relationship troubles, whatever I could be ignored and trust you again. You must put stop to every other man and you know it!When people are extremely worried about these companies so that you take a look at why people have a good plan and don't work.First thing you should never be an issue from the past: Flashbacks into one's love life is truly enriched because of love within just a guy on her with flowers or gifts. Have a list of the past days, what happens if that space that he loves the most.

Secrets From a Navy SEAL on Courage During Crisis
May 20, 2020 8 min read
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.
When it comes to leading with courage in the face of fear, there are few people with more experience than Navy SEALs. I recently had the chance to hear combat veteran and retired Navy SEAL officer Larry Yatch, co-founder of SEAL Team Leaders, present on leadership to a select group of entrepreneurs.
The secret to success in business, Yatch says, boils down to five components: stewardship, strategy, people, execution and planning. Most companies are only good at one or two of these things, and Yatch says he has yet to meet a business that is inherently great at all five.
Yatch is an expert on how to differentiate between necessary and unnecessary fear, and what to do about each. In times of uncertainty and rapid change, stalling out or freezing in inaction can often be more dangerous than the actual threats we’re facing.
All fear is caused by a perceived lack of control, Yatch says. But we can channel our fears into opportunities to pivot, adjust, and achieve. Yatch notes that many entrepreneurs have done this with success in the past. More than half of the Fortune 500 (Microsoft, Uber, Airbnb) and half of the companies in the S&P 500 were started during recessions. So, in a nutshell: This is the entrepreneur’s time to shine.
The psychological and physical components of fear
Fear is a primal experience for everyone. Back to the time of cave men, our reactions to real or imagined fears can be summed up by “Fight, Flight or Freeze.” Physiologically, we react to the stress of fear with decreased neocortex (higher cognitive brain) activity. We develop tunnel vision. Hearing shuts off. Core muscle group strength is enhanced. And time shifts (it seems like everything has moved to slow motion). These physiological reactions are useful for a caveman but can hamper us in modern life.
Fear happens for all of us. So courage, Yatch says, is not the absence of fear, but making the right decisions and actions in spite of our fear.
In the face of limited resources and a high-risk environment (yes, that’s all of us now), we have the ability to use communication to gain power (the ability to influence change) and control (illustrated power in a given situation, such as pivoting a business or implementing a strategy to render a better outcome). When we operate in spite of fear, we illustrate courage and inspire others. So even though we are “modern-day cavemen” (albeit with better tools and fancier clothes) we can overcome our innate physiology to take effective action.

Our perceptions of danger produce fear
Danger is, in essence, represented by anything that limits your ability to control your safety. A live shooter. A loss of job. A deadly virus. Fear, in turn, is the feeling of anxiety caused by the perception of danger, with perception being the operative word. Fear lives in our minds but is experienced in our bodies as the physical manifestation of a perceived lack of control.
“Fears alone can never hurt us,” Yatch says.
We must learn to separate necessary fears (being faced by a gunman or an oncoming car) from unnecessary fears (sleepless nights filled with worry over frightening possibilities, such as loss of a job, a recession, or a relationship ending).
“Necessary fears open possibilities,” Yatch says. “Unnecessary fears close possibilities.”
The entrepreneurs present acknowledged unanimously that this is true. In the face of the current crisis, some leaders spring into action as if fired by a surge of adrenalin: determining what they have, what is needed, and what they need to do next. This is how many of the world’s best innovations come to light. Factories pivot. Job responsibilities change. Communities come together to serve their vulnerable members and support individuals who are now without jobs.
Unnecessary fears such as “I don’t know what’s coming. My company might fail. I might get sick or lose the respect of my partner and family” will dramatically lower the possibilities of success, because these types of thoughts limit you from thinking and acting productively. You can’t sleep, you may drink heavily, fail to eat or suddenly eat very poorly. You walk into traffic, miss work, lose your keys and glasses.
As I often note to others, when you’re frozen in fear you become your own worst enemy. You look for somebody or something to blame. You metaphorically trip on your own shoelaces, veritably ensuring you will fall.

Regaining your power
Since fear begins in your mind, that’s where it must first be attacked, Yatch says. You must learn to manage the fear by learning, practicing, and gaining experience.
“Knowledge is the kryptonite to fear,” he said. “It is easier to take action when you truly understand what it is you fear.”
Next comes practice. Like the young child learning to ride a two-wheel bike, you experience failure in a setting with limited consequences to produce a state of mind conducive to learning. In this respect, failure is a vital part of the process.
Experience, then, is the combination of knowledge and practice that strengthens your ability to stare danger in the face as you take action, influence change and restore control.
How do you apply these rules to your business?
In the face of a crisis like a global pandemic or a halted economy, great leaders can apply the principles of courage to the five components of business: stewardship, strategy, people, execution, and planning.
So, for example, in a crisis, we can observe the companies that are springing into action with stewardship for their people and their customers. One notable CEO acknowledged to Yatch that his company is taking a hit of 75 to 80 percent of its revenue. He said, “As I look at our core values, the first and most important is taking care of our people. These are people who were all in, who were kicking butt, and I’m going to need them on the other side. I’m going to do everything I can to keep them and show them how important they are.”
On the flip side, Yatch says that CEOs who are looking around for people to fire “should be firing themselves.” He also that notes that some leaders, when faced with the inevitability of reducing their workforce (such as a publicly-traded company that must protect the company’s ability to remain alive in the market) have gone the extra mile to help support and place the individuals affected among the other companies within the region or space.
“You cannot violate the trust of these people and expect to thrive on the other side,” Yatch maintains. Conversely, as your own organization pivots, now is the ideal time to recruit since the “pick of the litter” candidates are more available.
In the realm of strategy, are you making your employees excited about the future? Or are you spreading more negativity and fear? Yes, you need to worry about cash. But what will you do to amend that worry?
Examine your core market. Take a look at your process and procedures. What is your own most critical issue right now? Study the five key priorities to map out a plan of action.
Figuratively and literally, now is the time to clear out the garage. Get the mechanisms in place to scale for when you emerge on the other side of the tunnel. Instead of cowering in unnecessary fear, use the surge of adrenalin that accompanies the very real dangers you’re facing, and resolve them now. This will allow you to emerge from the downturn with calmness and confidence, using the strongest reasoning power of your higher brain (and your collaboration with like-minded others) to marshal your power, rehearse your strengths, and put the power to use as the economy re-opens.

14 Ways to Bolster Your Facebook Privacy Today
Tech is everywhere, and when it works, it makes our lives better. It’s a big reason tech’s biggest players — Google, Apple, Amazon, Facebook — are all getting into healthcare. There are a lot of problems that need fixing.
But it’s rarely that simple.
Google’s computing power, for example, could revolutionize the medical records system and advance medical research, but what if it’s done at the expense of patient privacy? Facebook Groups give patients unparalleled tools for connection, support, and information-sharing. But what if the platform also puts users’ health data at risk?
While there’s cause for concern with virtually any company in this space, privacy advocates remain focused on one more than any other: Facebook.
Many believe Facebook’s elevated scrutiny is well-justified. It has a long history of privacy-related failures that have eroded public trust. While plenty of companies have had widely publicized data privacy lapses, few have been as consequential or as heavily covered as Facebook’s.
It’s especially fair for patients to be riled up over Facebook’s slow or insufficient responses to these lapses. Mark Zuckerberg said at this years’ F8 developer conference that the future of Facebook is private — and that privacy will be a cornerstone of the platform going forward. But can Zuck be taken at his word?
For all the privacy advocates urging Facebook users to jump ship, the majority seem to be staying put. Of the more than 400 Patient Leaders we surveyed in early 2019, 98 percent still use Facebook. Only three percent have stopped using the platform or deleted their accounts out of privacy concerns.
In that same survey, we learned that many Patient Leaders rank Facebook as their preferred platform and nine in ten are members of a health-related Facebook group. They don’t entirely trust Facebook but they find it adds real value to their lives.
Many say the value they and their peers get from Facebook makes the tradeoffs worth it. But in a worst-case scenario, when it comes to users sharing sensitive, personal health data, some fear the worst could be truly catastrophic.
There is a legitimate concern that personal health data in the wrong hands could affect relationships, reputations, jobs, and access to insurance. Patient advocate Grace Cordova explains: “Patients fear being discriminated against, suffering a reputation loss, the risk of losing employment opportunities, and being classified in a manner that makes insurance unaffordable or potentially inaccessible.”
Are there real-world examples of any of this happening? Not that we know of. But many fear it’s only a matter of time.
Facebook Privacy Best Practices
For patients who understand how serious the potential risks are, but who find Facebook too valuable to leave, it’s more important than ever to have a clear understanding of best practices for data privacy and security.
A key concern is patients giving Facebook and its third-party partners access to data without realizing it. While Facebook offers users a fair amount of control over privacy settings, many fail to take a hard look at their settings on a regular basis. Only 37 percent of the Patient Leaders we surveyed had taken steps to optimize their privacy settings. If you care about data privacy — and you most certainly should — here’s what you need to know.
Personal Privacy Settings
Facebook’s privacy settings are fairly straight-forward. Most privacy controls are found in the Settings menu by clicking on the menu icon. This is found in the upper left corner of both the Facebook app and the browser view when using a computer.
Who Sees What When you post new content on Facebook, you are always given control over who will see it. For example, you can share a picture publicly or with just your friends. You can even choose specific friends rather than sharing with your entire friends list. This is done with a simple drop down menu at the top of the post editor. Important to remember: if you don’t modify this setting, your next post will automatically default to the same audience. Make a point of double-checking this setting before you post.
Who Can Find You You can make your profile as easy or as difficult to find as you’d like. Unless you change this setting, your Facebook profile and picture will be searchable by search engines. You can also limit who can search for you using your phone number or email address.
Location Does Facebook have permission to track your location? When location tracking is on, it’s typical for location-based ad targeting to follow you. It can also mean that others will be able to see where you are posting from. These settings can be adjusted on your phone itself, as well as the Facebook settings menu. Click on Location Settings under the Privacy section of the settings menu to adjust how you are tracked.
Facial Recognition Facebook’s facial recognition tool is used to tag friends in photos but privacy experts worry that it could eventually be used in a much broader and more troubling context. You can turn off facial recognition in the Privacy section of the settings menu.
3rd Party Access Even if Facebook was entirely dedicated to your privacy, you’d still have to remember that third-party partners can access your data. Logging in to various apps and websites with your Facebook credentials might be convenient, but if you don’t want these third-parties to have access to your data, you may want to reconsider. Under the Security portion of the Settings menu, click on Apps and Websites.
Then, click on Logged in with Facebook to see the apps and websites you’ve logged into using your Facebook password. When you click on an individual app or website, you can see what data Facebook shares with the app and you can also access the app’s privacy policy. If you choose, you can remove any individual app or website from your list. Under the Preferences portion of this section of settings, click on Apps, Websites and Games to completely turn off the ability to log in to apps, websites or games using your Facebook credentials. Turning this setting off has some other potential consequences to keep in mind, as seen below.
Letting Facebook Follow You Facebook’s data collection doesn’t stop just because you stop browsing your news feed. Unless you take steps to stop it, Facebook may gather information about your activities on other websites, including what you’re shopping for, what you’re reading and what you’re watching. IRL, this behavior would be considered stalking. Online, it’s a standard practice.
Fortunately, you can limit its scope and intensity. Installing an ad-blocking extension on your browser is one way. Another is to use Facebook’s Clear History feature (found under Off-Facebook Activity in the Settings menu), which lets you delete past information from your account about how you’ve used other websites and apps.
Another setting lets you turn off future off-Facebook activity tracking. Turning this setting to Off means you will be unable to log in to other apps and websites through Facebook.
Hacking Protection Security experts agree that two-factor authentication is one of the best ways to protect yourself from a hack. You can turn on two-factor authentication in Facebook’s Security and Login settings. Facebook has misused this tool in the past, so your best bet might be to use a dedicated app such as Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile to accomplish the same goal.
Download Your Data In the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and the public outcry, Facebook created a tool that lets users see all of the data it has collected. At the bottom of the settings menu is a section titled Your Facebook Information.
Click on Access Your Information to see everything from the places you’ve been and the events you’ve attended to the comments you’ve posted and the photos you’ve been tagged in over the years. Seeing the cold, hard truth of the data you’ve been sharing over the years might make you reconsider some of your Facebook behavior. You can look at this data category by category or you can download the entire collection.
Think Before You Share You can fine-tune your privacy settings to your hearts’ content but at the end of the day it’s what you share that matters most. We’ve all heard the stories of old posts or pictures on Facebook coming back to haunt people in their relationships or even job interviews. It’s good advice for everyone to post with the thought of it being seen by people you didn’t intend.
For patients using Facebook to talk about sensitive personal health information, that may be an especially wise practice. If you’re an “open book” type who likes to share a lot, or if you’re not very risk-averse, you may wish to continue to share freely and widely.
But if you prioritize privacy, you may wish to avoid sharing too many details about your health status. Can you talk about the results of an important medical test without giving the specifics of your results? Can you ask for advice about talking to loved ones or your healthcare provider about your health condition without naming names or including identifiable details? And are there times you might want to find a way to continue the conversation off of Facebook altogether.
Group Privacy Settings
For patients, much of the appeal of Facebook comes from group functionality. Online patient communities are thriving on Facebook, bringing support, education, and connection to hundreds of thousands of patients and caregivers. For group admins, the decision about how to manage the privacy question is important.
Group Type Facebook offers three different types of groups: open, private visible, and hidden. Open groups allow anyone to see who is a member and anyone can see the content posted and shared within the group. Only members can post and comment. While some patient groups choose this designation for maximum accessibility, the lack of privacy control for group members makes it a less than ideal choice for many.
Hidden groups offer the most privacy but because they are hidden they are impossible for new members to find on their own. To gain access they must receive an invitation from an existing member. For health conditions with a significant stigma attached, this group type might be preferable.
The majority of patient groups use the private visible designation. The group is searchable and new members can request to join, but only group members can see the group’s content. If an admin changes the group’s privacy setting, Facebook automatically notifies group members of the change.
Facebook recently added the ability for groups to be designated as “health support groups.” With this designation, users have the option to anonymously post health questions to the group. “I have members who want to ask questions, and they don’t want to offend anyone, or they just don’t want a spouse or caregiver to see it,” said Ashley M. Greiner, a group admin with congestive heart failure who urged Facebook to add this ability. “Anonymous posting is a great step toward making support groups better.”
Better Tools for Admins As Facebook transitions from its href=”https://www.facebook.com/notes/mark-zuckerberg/a-privacy-focused-vision-for-social-networking/10156700570096634/”>“town square” to “living room” model, groups are a top priority. As such, the company is making some positive efforts to make groups work better. One announced change is designed to both hold group admins to a high standard and to better equip them with tools to succeed.
Group admins will have access to the Group Quality tool which will help them navigate the challenge of moderation and managing group rules. While this tool was designed to help prevent the spread of racist and otherwise destructive groups from flourishing, it will also help those moderating patient groups.
Education Do group admins have a responsibility to educate group members? Many Patient Leaders running thriving groups on Facebook say “yes.” Some are already educating group members about how to determine if online content is trustworthy or not, but educating about online data security may also be called for. In addition to making clear your group’s privacy settings and group rules, it might be wise to periodically caution users against sharing too much detailed personal health information in the group, especially health information that is sensitive in nature.
Looking Forward
Whether you love or hate Facebook, all indications are it’s not going anywhere. Large numbers of patients still count it as their preferred platform and it offers many the support and community connection they need. Yet it’s also clear that Facebook deserves wariness. As Tech Republic bluntly describes, you can look back and see “a decade of apparent indifference for data privacy.” Patients who have lost trust in Facebook have every reason to feel that way.
And nonetheless, most patients choose to stay. Where does that leave us?
We need to continue to hold Facebook’s feet to the fire. Some have left Facebook behind and now are making it their mission to get others to see why they are so concerned. Kudos to them for prioritizing data privacy and better yet, for trying to get the word out about the problem. We need these voices to raise to a chorus before data security comes to be recognized as a vital core value by every tech company.
Everyone needs to take personal responsibility for controlling what they can. Security breaches and hacks are always a possibility. That’s the price of doing business on the internet today. Regardless, there is still a lot we can control. Every individual needs to take personal responsibility for regularly optimizing their privacy settings. We can make the choice about what to post and to whom. There’s every reason in the world to make those choices wisely — starting today.
