backstory summary

now an urban city life lover and tattoo artist, Mo grew up as the oldest son of a fisher family in present-day shenzhen

had to help out and take responsibility from a young age, got married at 19 and had 3 children

at age 28 he got caught having sex with another man and subsequently fled his village to avoid punishment, ultimately got involved in anti qing dynasty rebellions in taiwan where his organisational skills caught the eye of the local coven which turned him some time later

worked for them for a while before getting bored and tired of being told what to do, started a rebellion within the coven & killed his masters, had to flee taiwan

went to live in japan for a while after getting bored of fighting (mainly in the opium wars, thought it was fun at first + made some bank) and started taking an interest in tattoo art

now settled down a bit compared to the wild life he led before, not loyal to anyone but more reliable as a potential ally; main residence back in shenzhen with second residence in bolivia

random trivia

most of his body is tattooed, always has his fangs out for The Aesthetic because when you work in the body mod community that's still regular human passing

loves to cook even though he doesn't have to eat anymore

No clatter of footsteps rushing up behind him. No ominous chuckles from the darkness of an alley. No hair raised on the back of his neck. Just an arm snaking around it and squeezing. A few moments of pressure on his carotid arteries frosted the world white, then shrunk it down farther and farther away on the other end of a black tunnel. When it returned, it was too late. A fabric gag cut into the corners of Isaac’s lips. Zip ties trussed his hands behind his back, his ankles to each other. Disappointment in himself outweighed panic over finding himself bound in the dark trunk of a car at first. Slowly, though, reality rearranged his priorities.

He would wind up both dinner and a show if he didn’t escape. Okay, okay. He could do this. Focus. Think it through. The subtle hum of an electric engine and gentle bumping and rocking motion meant they were on the move. Trunks had latches to open them from the inside for this kind of situation, didn’t they? He could maybe wriggle around and grope until he found it. Roll out into the road. Hope he wasn’t hit by any vehicles following in that lane. Though, getting turned into an interstate pancake had to be preferable to what awaited at the end of the ride.

He’d just completed Step One—felt the rush of cool wind against his clammy skin, heard the dull roar of its passing—when the car began to lose speed and drift toward the shoulder of the road. Desperation got him as far as up onto his knees before it stopped and time ran out. The crunch of shoes on gravel came around the side. Against the backdrop of the starry sky, the silhouette of the bloodborn loomed over him. None of his features stood out clearly in the gloom of pre-dawn. Except for the eyes. Same color as a tropical sea with the pupil blown wide like a cat’s to hunt in the darkness. He reached into an inner pocket of his jacket.

“I didn’t want to resort to this, but I can already tell you’re trouble.” His voice projected goodwill, giving away only the barest hints of accent around the vowels. Spanish or Portuguese, this close to the Broken Coast.

“Fuck you,” Isaac replied in his own basic, Central States one, muffled by the gag.

A pale glimmer of teeth in the dark as the bloodborn smiled. He pulled his hand from his jacket pocket. Something small and made of glass winked in the starlight. A syringe. The cap was pulled off and tossed to the gravel.

Isaac thrashed, cursed, strained muscles. Fought for his life just like the Coven field guide suggested. It didn’t stop the bloodborn from getting an arm around his neck again while the sting of the needle sank into his bicep and released a rush of something cold into his veins. That done, he threw the syringe aside, calmly reached into the trunk, and wrenched off the escape latch with a jerk of the wrist. He still wore the same crescent sliver of a smile while sealing Isaac back into his lightly upholstered tomb. Fuming became the only remaining option. There’d be plenty of time for it, he suspected; whatever the bastard had injected him with would work even slower for having to be absorbed through muscle. That meant a long ride ahead.

It took what he estimated to be a half hour before the drug slipped into his brain, picking apart the tangled threads of terror, outrage, and despair. They unraveled, fell away. Combined with the gentle hum of the engine and rocking motion of the car it turned his eyelids and limbs to lead.

Isaac Soto rode to his doom not with a roar or whimper but a snore.

Aug 7th (Day 3): Prompt- Starlit / Teeth

Day 3: Teeth- Azuri tells Kharjo the story of how she was taught to fight by Nerevar. I’m sure I’m way off canon with some of my ideas, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. Also, Kharjo loves to use pet names because he is the actual sweetest.

It was late when Kharjo finally trudged back up from the jarl’s house to the College. The sun had set and Jone and Jode were out, both waning. Dagi-raht moons. But at that moment he wasn’t looking at them, he was focused on getting back to the Archmage’s Quarters and his beloved.

But the Archmage's Quarters were empty.

“Azuri?”

He checked all the rooms, and found the small door that led up to the roof open. He followed up the spiral staircase until he was outside once again.

She had shed her robes and wore only a soft shirt and pants. Her hair was tied up in a messy knot on top of her head, eyes narrowed in concentration. In her hand she held a staff, but she whirled and thrust it like a spear. Her style was not one he was familiar with, but she obviously well practiced.

As she turned, she noticed him standing by the door. It startled her for a brief second, her hands tightening around the staff. But then she relaxed, and smiled.

"You're home, yi daelha!" She ran over to hug him. "How was work?"

"The jarl's new guards grow more skilled each day. Khajiit already plans to train them harder now, and the jarl agrees. But the day was not supposed to go on so long. Kharjo is sorry he is so late."

As he leaned down to kiss her forehead, she chuckled. “It’s okay. How many times have I been stuck on a long job? But things are going so well! I still can hardly believe Korir came around the way he did, but I’m glad he did.”

“As is Khajiit, ahziss siir. Now, do tell Kharjo, what are you doing? You fight with that staff in a style Khajiit has never seen. Who taught you this?”

“Nerevar did.”

“You were taught by your First Era warlord?”

“Yeah. You know he’s my ancestor guardian, and while he has a hard time manifesting in our world, we talk quite often in dreams. Let me tell you the story.”

They sat together on the roof, and Azuri began.

*** (Then) ***

"Azuri!" He greeted. They met as they always did, in a field of flowers and bright sun, though he was certain she’d never been to such a place in the waking world.

She sobbed as she threw her arms around his waist and hugged him hard. "Nerevar! I… I need your advice. Really bad. I need someone wise to show me if I'm right or not."

"Of course!" He pulled back, putting his hands on her shoulders. "What troubles you?"

"Will you swear not to tell anyone else?"

"Of course, Azuri. I will always respect your privacy."

She dropped her head. "I want to leave."

"Leave where?"

"This House. Mournhold. Morrowind. If I am to escape, I have to go far away where my parents can't find me."

He nodded. "Where do you plan to go?"

Her head flew up again. "You aren't going to stop me? Or talk me out of it?"

"Well I can't actually stop you, and I see no reason to talk you out of it. You've told me more than enough for me to know that going out and getting some independence would be good for you. I don't know how your parents expect you to have any kind of destiny with the way they keep you sheltered."

Azuri was crying happy tears now, and she hugged him again. "Thank you, Nerevar! Can… can you help me plan? What should I take? What's the best way to get out? I… I think I'll start in Cyrodiil, then make my way… I'm not even sure where. Maybe Skyrim? It's more isolated there but I'm not prepared for that yet."

"You've been thinking about this. That's good that you recognize where your weaknesses might be. I will help you as much as I can. It's been a long time since I walked the world, but some things don't change." He crossed his arms thoughtfully. “First we’re going to start with how to defend yourself.”

“I… I can use an axe. Like… like the Nerevarine did.”

He gave her a gentle smile. “Ah yes. Rilenna is uniquely skilled with an axe. But you, my dear, are more likely to carry a staff. And my first weapon was a spear. So we will start there. Tomorrow night. I will teach you to fight and we will plan your escape.”

The next night they met again. This time a circle had been cleared in the grass and flowers. Nerevar held two spears, one of which he handed to Azuri.

“Now then. Make sure you practice this when you can in the real world, too. Any stick or staff or even a curtain rod would work. Now then, hold it like this, and do what I do.”

Azuri did, but soon her shoulders sagged. She let out a frustrated cry. “I’m never going to be as good as you, Nerevar! How can I learn to fight like you?”

He gave her a sigh and a gentle smile. “Do you think I was any good when I first learned to fight?”

“Weren’t you?”

“Azura’s mercy, no! It took a long time, and a lot of dedication, to get to where I was in life. Like everything, it takes practice. And you can do this. You have the will and the strength of mind. Let’s try it again, and then we’ll talk about supplies you should start stockpiling.”

It took time, but Azuri worked tirelessly and began to improve. So Nerevar started to push her harder.

They were sparring, staves clacking and whirling, when he suddenly slipped around her. Using his greater height, he slipped his staff over her head and used it to pin her arms. He chuckled.

“What do you do now? I’m bigger and stronger, how do you break free?”

“Magicka?”

“That will work. How else?”

“I could kick you?”

“Okay, one more.”

“Umm… I don’t know?”

He let her go and came back around. Setting the butt of his spear on the ground, he leaned on it. “You use every tool and weapon your body has. Magicka, feet, elbows, knees, nails, teeth, whatever you can.”

“Teeth? Like, bite them?”

“If it’s you or them? You’re damn right. I’m not here to teach you to fight so it looks pretty. I’m here to teach you to fight so you’ll survive. Fight dirty, and don’t be afraid to. Even if you have to bite them.” He grinned. “But you’re coming along well. I think you’ll be ready by your birthday like you want to be. Now let’s run through that again.”

*** (Now) ***

“How long did you train with Nerevar?” Kharjo asked.

“I’ve never stopped. We still talk about it to this day. He always seems to think of new things to tell me, new tricks to put up my sleeve. But before I left Mournhold, we trained for the better part of a year. I actually did have a curtain rod in my room I used to practice with.”

“And how many have felt the wrath of your teeth?”

She laughed. “I’ve bitten my fair share of enemies. And what he taught me works well because fighting styles have changed so much, so it throws opponents off when I start pulling out Chimer spear tactics and gives me an advantage. And he taught me how to survive outside of fighting, like how to make a camp and how to just be in the world. I owe him everything. I never would have gotten out otherwise.”

“Then Khajiit is grateful also. Would… would you teach Khajiit your Chimer fighting style? Kharjo will teach you what he knows of the styles of his homeland in return.”

Eyeing up his plate-armored form, she raised an eyebrow. “You want me to teach you how to fight? I mean… I certainly can, but...”

“Khajiit would rather train with no one else.” He butted her gently with his forehead and kissed her cheek. “But for now, Khajiit would like supper and a bath, preferably with his serush.”

She kissed him back. “I’d like that, too. How about we start the training tomorrow?”

“That is perfect. Khajiit looks forward to it. It will be rather exciting to spar together.”

“Well, I hope so. But I’m also rather excited about this idea of supper and a bath.”

“Ah, then let us go now, Moonbeam.”

Hand in hand, they descended the stairs until they were back in the inviting warmth of their chamber. They went first to the bathing room, steam rising as she turned on the tap and the tub began to fill.

Smiling at Kharjo as he began to strip out of his armor, Azuri said a silent thanks to Nerevar. It had been her parents' pride and ambition that had led to the Hortator himself being her guardian. But he'd been everything to her that her parents weren't; he'd encouraged her, helped her, loved and believed in her. He'd helped her to win this freedom, this life she'd built. And that was more valuable than anything on Nirn or in any other plane of existence.

Kharjo's purr of her name brought her out of her thoughts, and before she knew it she'd been swept up into his arms and kissed. "By the Moons, you are most beautiful when lost in thought. But perhaps you will join Khajiit in the bath now?"

"Of course, my heart." She giggled, pulling off her cold, sweaty clothes and following him into the steaming tub.

And it was wonderful.

Xiao general dating headcanons

Your name was something everyone who came across him heard at least once. And he isn't very talkative so that's not saying much... But still that's everyone he's been interacting with!

At the beginning it could feel like a long distance relationship, even though he pretty much is head over heels for you.

But he can't get you involved with his battles, no matter how many times you'll tell him that you can handle it.

Losing you perhaps became his biggest fear, he never felt such strong attachment to anyone.

This fear however was something he overcame... Or more learnt to make a peace with it and make every moment count. He's an immortal being while you are not gives him a basic understanding how most likely things were going to end should your relationship not fail.

That's how you became his weaknesses and strength at the same time.

Thinking of your precious smile alone- although at times distracting- was able to make him stronger. While previously discussed fear made him hesitant to not fall for you too much.

However thanks to that he's going to be straightforward with his thoughts, unlike before you started dating he'd often avoid you- mainly because he thought that he didn't deserve your affections.

And oh boy did he use to drop MANY hints that he likes you without realizing it... But dare to bring it up today and he suddenly won't know how to respond.

And you're gonna have a lot of teasing material- I mean STORIES to look back on!

No matter if you are dating for months or years whenever you bring up how cute he acted that one time where he literally dashed to you when he heard you ask for his help he'd always say "Shut up"

Even though he doesn't really want you to, for your voice is a soothing melody to his soul and ears.

Now let's get to important bit: love language. For Xiao it's gifts. And obviously everything he gives you is fully handmade. He finds symbols to be much easier way to communicate than words so if you have any knowledge of them you'll probably know what everything he gives says.

JANUARY : Most popular is “People are gay stevens” [x] which is valid but my favs of that month are “Truly there is a lot of ways to take care of someone” [x] cuz truly hilarious that Tan fell in love with Bunn and started protecting him in his quest of the truth instead of actually scaring him off the quest which is what I’m pretty sure is what Pued asked him to do and “Honey! where is my gun?!” [x] cuz Bunn is a dumbass why would he do that

FEBRUARY : Most popular “The sandwich saga” [x] of Leverage which is very funny indeed also I’m sure if Hardison asked for a sandwich Eliot would make it for him with a lot of love and my fav is of course a MoD post and it’s my boys coming back from the death in a very surprise bitch u thought u saw the last of me way to talk to Rung [x]

MARCH : Most popular “Sirs??? This is a McDonalds drive-trough??” [x] Shi De and Shu Yi powershifting of failed office sex of forgiveness in the 2nd season of WBL and my fav is “Can I offer you an egg in this trying time?” [x] YMMD’s obsession with eggs was frankly hilarious cuz I’m also kinda obsessed with eggs but that’s a story for another day I guess

APRIL : Most popular is “Red eyeshadow and black eyeline Lao Wen my beloved” [x] rightfully so cuz he is indeed my beloved and my fav post is “Ah Xu is the magic word” [x] very self explanatory from WoH really he is the magic work even for me, but also “This is 90% of their conversation” [x] aka Bunn being bitchy to M their cat and dog relationship is always funny in MoD

MAY : Most popular is “Lao Wen cannot resist his Ah Xu” [x] literally who wouldn’t be weak in front of that face? and my favs are actually very hard to choose cuz during that month I started experimenting with gradients & fonts & colors and started finding who I was as an editmaker (sure I can be funny but sometimes I need to be ready to tap into the emotional state I’m feeling reading a text that I wanna put in an edit and trusting my instincts yadi yada) more than a gifmaker and I’m very proud of most of my first edits my fav is/could be any of those 3 WoH posts [x] [x] [x] or this MoD post [x]

JUNE : Most popular is “Alexander, I’m fine.” [x] the start of the gifing Malec and I can understand it being popular as it is an important scene for their relationship & frankly one of my favs of them because I tend to do what Magnus did in that scene yadi yada self identification & introspection and my favs posts are the 2 WoH pride month posts about Wenzhou’s hate [x] and love [x] languages and again these are a little funny but let’s be real there is emotions hiding in this

JULY : Most popular is “Creative.” [x] Leverage we love an ot3 being sexy & saving each other and my fav post is “The little love story between xiao Yuzhen’s hand and Leilei’s face” [x] guess we are touching the touch starved part of the winter & pandemic which explains this one there but if u asked me this during summer I’d probably say it’s “Dumbass.gif” [x] xiao Yuzhen exhibiting brainless behavior

AUGUST : Most popular was the confused by thelepathie Kurosawa gifset [x] and my fav is Bunn + my brainrot gifset [x] because it’s truly is just producing all the reaction image of Bunn I wished existed with a mix of old Vines/funny videos and new tumblr/internet sayings truly just my brainrot and frankly what I learned to make gifs for

SEPTEMBER : Most popular is Yohan slamming Gaon into anything and everything [x] I mean huh yeah 👀 😳 and my fav is that very long MoD//TDJ parallel post [x] and Tan’s titties influence [x] (not mines but Tan Wirapong aafvdhfghjgfdf)

OCTOBER : Most popular is Leverage OT3 [x] of course and my fav.. ugh again it’s hard to choose for that month cuz I produced a lot of stuff that I think are good I think it’s the month where I really started to find my identity as a editmaker and leaned more into it also it was my first year anniversary as a gifmaker yadi yada emotions and who u are and so on so it could be any of these 5 posts MoD fav characters the ladies [x] & Halloween post [x] the MoD//WoH//TDJ [x] one which is still my pinned post from TDJ Sunah my beloved [x]

NOVEMBER : Most popular is “When you are in love with an idiot so you gotta baby proof your whole kitchen” [x] don’t think the best way to use ur head is to knock it in stuff mate and my favs well that month was the one that was leading to me saying goodbye to MoD at the end of it after gifing MoD for an entire year and it was kinda emotional for me because I was losing this thing that had been constant in my life for the past year every monday so a lot of my fav edits were emotional (well emotional for me anyways) we have “Start Here” [x] The TGD quote [x] the last one less emotions and more funny but yeah “Fuck it” [x] but even if they aren’t MoD related they were emotional TDJ "Do not fall in love with people like me" [x] which I love dearly

DECEMBER : Most popular is “Get you a man who will kill people for you without hesitation” [x] manslaughter is sometimes a solution and my fav posts is “#HateWins” [x] because it was produced out of horniness and that’s hilarious

Bonus JANUARY 2022 : If for some reasons I don’t do this next year I already know my fav post of this month is “Yok has a lot of skills, some of them are not like the others” [x] I frankly do think I might have peaked on this one like that’s insane I have not loved one of my posts like this in a while I’ve been staring at it for 3 days hence the reason why I’ve self reblogged it like 5 times already I am Narcissus and that gifset is my pond

Duke: “Forgive my tardiness, my embroidery was enchanting me so that my ears laid unaware!

How do you do, Donti? It is the Duke speaking. I must say, my sister has quite the opinion of you!”

Donti: “Oh its great to talk to you again Duke :D I hope I left a good impression! Is your embroidery going well?”

Duke: “It is going quite splendid! The Crown truly does spoil us, giving my sister and I such rich-coloured thread. Truly we are fortunate for his generosity and love.”

Donti: “Ohh! Good colors always make embroidery fun! What are you making?”

Duke: “I must ask though - as a sheep yourself why must you graze on such nimble hearts? Wolves are not supposed to concern themselves with the opinions and thoughts of prey such as yourselves but Prince is but a pup, why must you all be so cruel? I am quite interested in the answer, you see, because it is I who saw the tear tracks down faers face and I who heard the drums of despair in this household.”

Donti: “Oh..

Are you talking about blunt anon?

All of us are very angry at them, whoever they are.

I promise they do not reflect us as a whole.”

Duke: “To answer your previous question however, I am making a rose for Baroness. I do feel horribly for how I was unable to aid her with her spoiled dress so I do hope this gift soothes her and shows that there is no ill will from I to her.”

Donti: “Thats nice! Baroness loves flowers and nature! Thats super thoughtful of you. Im sure she'll love it :D

But back to Prince... Are fae ok? we're worried about faem.”

Duke: “"Blunt anon" is quite a peculiar name I must say. Indeed that is the scoundrel I speak of. It is wonderful to hear that you all are not that way - frankly, if I suspected you were the one to make Prince cry I would have simply neglected to respond, as is customary when one deals with enemies of one's family. Prince is currently recuperating, poor thing. A bleeding heart only leads to death and yet fae still has not learned that yet. I do wish you to send out a warning if you would be so kind - do let anyone know that if they ever treat Duchess in such a matter they will swiftly come to regret it. A gentleman does not revel in violence but she is my most dearest sister.

I thank you for your kind words however, I do indeed hope she enjoys my gift so - do not tell the others but she may be the only one in this family I can truly connect to on an intellectual setting, besides my sister of course.”

Donti: “Ill tell people not to be rude to Duchess. Not that they would.. Im pretty sure they like her :D”

Donti: “"Blunt anon" came when people would send... Rude asks to people. It was originally just blunt questions. But it escalated to... What happened to Prince :( We're trying to find them, but theres only so much we can do

Donti: “I know some of my good friends have talked to duchess.. But not to you yet!”

Duke: “Ah, indeed people have reached out and only Duchess was there to greet them. It pains me of course but I found myself with activities to do throughout the day. Schooling is still important to Duchess and I so that took up quite a bit of time - do not tell Crown but I was indeed spending time taking in the beauty of ballet instead of working purely on my Latin. Donti: “Hm. I like the name sheep... Its a little kinder than "plebs"

You seems to like a lot of.. Elegant things! (I hope thats the right word) like embroidery and ballet! Where did you learn such refined taste :oc”

Duke: “Where did I learn such refined tastes? They have always been apart of me, you must understand. The Crown helped unlock those parts that I kept buried deep away and help nurture them. Oh such a brute I used to be! No care for the finer things in life, only one-upping my beloved sister. To think I used to slide in the dirt just for a measly point - bah! Truly I am in much debt to the Crown, for without him I still may have been a unruly fool.”

Donti: “... You played sports before you met Crown?”

Duke: “My sister and I both did, yes. It does not do well to dwell on such miserable times, Donti. This is why little one you are still a lamb.”

Donti: “Oh! If you don't want to talk about it, you dont have to! ^u^ Friends dont force their friends to talk about uncomfortable things!

Hm... But if the plebs are sheep... And I am a lamb... Who is the shepard...?”

Duke: “How sweet! Tell me, little lamb, who do you think the shepherd is? Or if there is one at all?

If you are a little lamb then I must ask, is there a Mary to be found alongside you as well?”

Donti: “Hm.... I think from our perspective the shepherd, (or shepherds in this case) would be our lovely mods :D

But from your point of view? Its most definitely Crown!

Andd.. Im assuming a Mary is a leader... Little lambs follow Mary after all... Hm. A lot of us have shown leadership at some point in time or another! It really depends on the scenario!”

Duke: “Intriguing.

It depends on the scenario you say?”

Donti: “Yep! People take charge depending on whats happening, and sometimes theres no leadership, just us discussing and working through it!

Why do you ask?”

Duke: “When the flocks have gone and left and all there is is the gentle bobbing of the water, who do you trust to save you from drowning? While you thrash and scream and feel yourself weaken who do you look towards for guidance? When the taste of salt kisses the interior of your esophagus whose name is on the tip of your dying tongue?

For I, it is the Crown, as he saved my sister and I from exactly that fate - but who is it for you?”

Donti: “Hm.. As a "flock" we all support one another.. That way, we can have multiple points of support! One person supporting that many people would be very stressful for that one person, you know”

Duke: “Of course.

Even then in a home all parts play along and join in the symphony but even with that, some are still load-bearing.

Who would be your load-bearing walls? All I ask is for some simple names, you understand. My curiosity is much like a cat, you see. Only satisfaction may truly bring me back.”

Donti: “Hm.. Are you asking for the names of my friends?

Well. There's Jack and Raeva, whom Duchess has spoken with, I think. Llyr, Ren, and Luna are also friends of mine. But I try not to burden them.

They are not so much load bearing pillars, but more of frail walls to shield me from the cold.”

Duke: “The drifting breezes that bring forth frost and tremors truly are such tiresome times. That you have shields is wonderful and it does ease my heart, but I do feel as though I must impart some wisdom else I'd be an unfavourable acquaintance - do try and build yourself a roaring inferno, little sheep.

Have so much fire around yourself that the winds cannot glance your way and even the Grand Archer Yi looks on with fear.”

Donti: “... And what if the fire burns me?

What then?”

Duke: “Do you think yourself unable to control the flames?”

Donti: “...Yes. Flames are temperamental, after all. When the inferno's dried up every last bit of water and eaten all of the wood, what will it turn to?”

Duke: “You want the answer to be yourself, I can see you reaching for it with an outstretched palm. Here is the truth: you can quell flames easily with just a few words. You can breathe in the ash and let the smoke dissipate. You do not have to be burned.

Ah, but these are just fun matters to think about. Do not dwell on my words too much. I would hate for you to overthink just simple pondering.”

Donti: “...Ill take your words to heart, friend. Even if it's just banter.

How do you know this?”

Donti: “Oh! that is a pretty video.. I wonder how long it took for her to make it so effortless..?

Do you dance?”

Duke: “Such an exquisite form of art. The mastery she has put forth would bring others to shame and ruin. A true professional since birth. I myself do not dance in this way - my sister and I are well versed in the waltz and ballroom dance as is customary for our statuses - but ballet alludes me. Alas, if only that was the direction I chose for my life to go but no matter - I have embroidery, poetry and oil painting to keep me truly green from envy.”

Donti: “Those are very enviable hobbies! I imagine you're skilled at them too! As for ballet... Ive heard that in order to dance that way, one has to go through great pain. I'd hate for you to experience that”

Duke: “A bit of suffering is always worth the pain if beauty and joy can be received in the end, do you not think?”

Donti: “As long as youre happy, I suppose!

About two month ago started a new Sims 4 account which has a Hetalia character as townies. I don’t have all the packs for Sims 4 but I do use a lot of Mods to do this. Most of the house building I found online.

Each household has background and drama which was fun the think about. I have written over 10 pages of notes for this town so enjoy.

Berwald and Simon are brothers but 90% they can’t agree to anything which leave them fighting over stupid things. For example TV remote, who cleaning up and food shopping

Simon is a Manager of a top end company, to bad he to lazy to move out.

Everyone love Charlotte that the dog get the best treats and love.

Emil keep to himself and hide in the bedroom. No one know he seeing someone 😛

Lukas is over protective with Emil

Tino is a stay at home mum so he does most of the cleaning which Lukas help out using magic

Berwald my find it difficult expressing himself with words but he good at writing it down. His works as a writer.

Simon my be a pain but always help out with bills

Claire: Jamie – maybe we could find a place of our own.

Jamie: And leave the brothel?

Claire: Surely you don’t expect us to make a home here?

Jamie: No, not forever, perhaps. But for now, we have everything we need. And there’s no rent to pay – nearly every shilling I earn I send to Lallybroch.

Claire: Well I was thinking…maybe I could make some money as a healer. It felt good today to have a patient. Perhaps I could work from the back of the printshop – or open an establishment of my own. We could build a happy life here in Edinburgh.

Claire sat up a bit straighter in the suddenly uncomfortable chair – watching her husband cross his arms tightly across his chest, lips pursed, brow furrowed into lines she had never seen before.

He was listening to her – letting her speak. Respecting her.

But would he want to talk about it?

God, they were back to square one, weren’t they? Her mind flashed to that terrible time at Leoch, when so much ice had come so quickly between them. They had both had to compromise, then – and it had been hard work, but all was truly well, afterward.

Now she closed her eyes – centered herself. Breathed deeply. And lay her right hand on the table – palm up, her (his) wedding ring dark in the candlelight. Waiting.

Six breaths – and then the fingers of his left hand twined with hers. Gripping so tight.

The pads of her fingers brushed against the tendons in his wrist – pulse racing, coiled, tense.

She opened her eyes – saw him watching their hands.

*It’s me. It’s just me. I know you – you know me. We will make this work.*

“Does it bother you that I’d like to…to earn money?”

He sighed – clearly struggling to find the words.

“It doesn’t mean that I don’t think you can support us, Jamie – only, I have talents, so I might as well – ”

“It does,” he blurted. “It bothers me, if ye really want to know.”

She turned over their joined hands. The candlelight washed the color from the four scars she knew so well – three vertical lines along the backs of his fingers, circular nailmark on the middle of the hand.

And noticed, for the first time, new scars. A horizontal line at the base of his thumb. Grooves on his wrists – dear God, was that from when he had been shackled in prison?

“I have much more experience than…than I did before. I’m much more confident.”

“Ye have *always* been confident, Claire. Perhaps ye feel more so now. But – ” Now his knuckles went white. “But Edinburgh – it minds me of Paris. All manner of people, looking to take advantage of anyone. Of a woman like you, especially.”

“I’ll ask Fergus to come with me. Or Yi Tien Cho – or Young Ian, even. I have skills and knowledge to share, and to help make people’s lives better – ”

“What about *our* life together, then?” he hissed. “I canna have ye in my life if ye dinna take care of yerself. I – I…” He swallowed now, throat thick – desperately caressing her ring with his thumb. “I leave ye for two hours, Claire – and I come back to our room, and ye’re in yer shift wi’ a wee knife, standing over a man who just tried to rape and kill ye – and yet ye insist on tending him?”

Now she looked up – to meet his eyes, so wide, so full of tears. Brimming with barely suppressed rage.

“It’s no’ about the money. Ye’ve supported us on that before, and I’m grateful for it. I *want* ye to follow yer calling. It – it makes ye whole. Give ye a purpose. God knows I understand that. But Claire – ”

Here his voice broke, and he slammed his free hand on the table.

“Can ye see it’s no’ safe for ye here? It’s never *been* safe for ye. And now ye’re back, and wi’ in a day someone has already tried to kill ye. I – I can’t…”

Not letting go of his hand, Claire pulled her chair across the creaky floor. Sitting side by side – the long, graceful lines of his thighs pressed up against hers – she reached her left hand around his back. Holding him. Feeling him breathe – short, shallow.

“Do you remember what I told you, in Paris? How bad things happen when we’re apart?”

“They do,” he whispered. “They have.”

She lay her head on his shoulder.

“It bothers me that what – that *who* – ye are means that I’ll constantly be worrying for ye.” His voice was strong – but his arms trembled with so much feeling. “Afraid that every time someone comes to ye, they could give ye a…a filthy disease that could kill ye. Afraid that if ye go to someone’s house, they’ll do something to ye and ye’ll never come home to me.”

He sighed, leaning against her, cheek atop her hair.

“It would be different if we had a croft, away from the filth of this city. Folk are kinder there – they all ken each other. Here – here it minds me so much of Paris. And seeing you in it – I can’t help but...weel. But remember all of that.”

For a long moment they just listened – to the crackle of the fire, to the giggles across the landing, to the clip-clop of carriages in the street below. To the precious gift of each other breathing.

“We don’t have to have an answer right now, Jamie – we need to think about it. To work it out, together.”

“Aye,” he breathed, “We will. I suppose we have nothing but time, now.”

He squeezed her hand once more before letting go and retrieving first her glass of wine, then his.

“Should I commission yer own sign to hang wi’ mine, then? ‘C. Malcolm, curer of poxes, remover of splinters, mender of broken hearts’?”

He clinked his glass against hers, smiling.

“I suppose something like that. Or just a smaller sign to hang beneath yours – C. Malcolm, Surgeon.”

Jamie took a long draught of wine. Watching her.

Sadness crept into his eyes.

“What I wouldna give for you to be known as Fraser again,” he whispered.

She set down her glass and reached up, running the back of her hand against the thick stubble on his cheek.

“What I wouldn’t give for *you* to have that, Jamie.”

Claire kissed away the tears so he wouldn’t taste them on his lips.
