The way Shauna chases after (what she thinks is) Jackies ghost with little to no hesitation and without even giving an explanation to that Adam guy (in season 1 ep 5),, breaks my heart,,

god forbid women have hobbies like braiding their dead best friends hair to cover up that she’s missing an ear or putting makeup on her corpse to make her look less necrotic or hallucinating a bacchanal feast while cannibalizing her

hey coach, sorry we cannibalized your team captain. in our defense, her pregnant gf said that's what she wanted and we are running out of meat rations and our developing bodies need nourishment. no, I get that it was absolutely terrifying to witness teenagers devour their former leader who was a symbol for societal expectation so voraciously and with such excitement, but you gotta understand we're hungry and the wilderness slow-roasted her to perfection. also you're probably next. xo.

I keep picturing Jeff reading Shauna's journals and getting indignant on her behalf that she didn't get crowned cannibal queen.

six women walk into a wellness center... and the recovering addict gets accidentally killed by her best friend, who was trying to protect her from a suicidal young woman, who was trying to protect her cult leader, who got shot by a mean teenage girl, who was just trying to protect her murderous mom, who was being hunted by her high school soccer team, that included a senator that kills dogs and a lesbian with terminal cancer. and also elijah wood killed a cop

Yellowjackets episode 9:
- adult Natalie is kinda pissing me off. I like Juliette Lewis but her portrayal of Natalie is very one note and over the top. We get it, she's a "badass", tone it down a little.
- as a matter of fact, all the adult versions are starting to annoy me. I liked adult Shauna a lot more than teen Shauna but stil, she's kind of a bad person? she's still making the same mistakes and acting like a teenager with no responsibility over her actions. And I could excuse that if she was still cooking rabbits and being interesting but she isn't.
- the resolution of the blackmail/cheating/murder plot was ridiculous. No dramatic effect at all for something that was build up the entire season.
- Christina Ricci is so fun and misty can definitely be intriguing but again it's getting kinda tired: she's weird, nobody likes her, possibly a sociopath? we got it already.
- tai is definitely the most interesting one to me. She's got a complex personality and an intriguing storyline mostly because of her visions/sleepwalking. The scenes with her son definitely have a nice horror feel and suspense.
the first three episodes were actually so good. A lot of suspense and shocking twists;the graphic violence; how 'real' the show made their survival feel; the different timelines helping build the mystery surrounding what happened,;a "realistic" portrayal of relationships between teenage girls; the supernatural/horror tones. But around episode 4, the show kinda stalled.
Not much has happened in terms of us learning more about what's really happening or happened in the wild, if the outcome of all that suspense is cannibalism, we already knew that. All that we have been seeing these last episodes is honestly just a bunch of highschool drama. Even in the adult timeline. I like Nat/Travis and I was intrigued by Shauna and Jackie's relationship but it seems the show dropped the ball on any depth in the relationships.
