Heard something about Soul Eater trending on tiktok or something (Im old so I dunno if its true) with some trend/meme/fad - and it made my wonder in my conspiracy prone mind:

Is this a sign that the anime reboot is actually happenening?

But I know it sounds like I'm joking and I am partly but I remember things like that Napoleon "there is nothing that we can do" meme started to appear just before the first trailers for the Ridley Scott Movie dropped, or personally experienced getting into an music band just before an out of the blue anouncment for an album happened.

I dunno, I think it will happen either way someday, no matter how crazy I am - and then maybe its better to be sooner so I can finally get this thing behind me and stop harrasing people with the eternal truth that the og anime was better than the manga (cause they'll see with their own eyes!!!!!!)

just found out my cousin (who lives in England) is in the art department of a bunch of shows??? And she worked oN DOCTOR WHO? AND HAD LUNCH WITH DAVID TENNANT???? and she just told me so casually because she's interested in the art, not the show? I mean, excuse me? She worked on SHERLOCK???? FOR A WHOLE SEASON?? She worked on Peaky Blinders and Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones??? And probably other things because she has a shitty memory and according to her everything is a blur?? AND AT ONE POINT SHE WAS LIKE: "oh and have you ever heard of Neil Gaiman?" And I was trying not to scream, because yes, of course I've heard of Neil, he's only my favorite author, I've only read like all of his books multiple times, and if you say you worked on Good Omens or the Sandman I'm going to lose it completely. So I said "yeah I've read a couple of his books," -you know, like a liar- "what about him?" and she goes "well I worked on one of his shows and he's brilliant i just can't remember which one" and i go "w-what do you mean he's brilliant? You're.. you're talking about his writing... his writing is brilliant, right?" And she cheerfully says "oh no I don't read books, I ment he was really nice and brilliant when I talked to him" and i go "WHAT DID YOU TALK ABOUT WHAT DID YOU TALK ABOUT" and she thinks for a moment and goes "oh! BRICKS" WHAT IN THE WORLD YES NO THAT MAKES SENSE YOU GET TO WORK AND TALK WITH NEIL FUCKING GAIMAN AND YOU TALK ABOUT BRICKS? Drabble- Adam and Roddy

Aka: The idea of Adam dying, being resurrected, and never really acknowledging it until the betrayal

AN: This does have Adam getting a panic attack, so warning. Also this might be expanded on into an offical fic.

The epiphany didn't happen until 2 years later, after his second betrayal.

He was on a roof with Roddy, away from the Kingdom and Wardlow and it was just them. It was a spot they both knew of in the city, when they weren't traveling as much as they did now, and it was the closest to getting away from it all. Like old times.

He doesn't remember what Roddy was saying exactly. He knew it was something that had the both of them smiling wide, before he handed him a drink. They've both been nursing alcohol instead of chugging them down, years of difference that was.

Adam didn't even pay attention to what he was opening when he put it up to his lips.

Instead of bitter wheat that he got used to, a shock of grape and a flavor that only came with a Monster hit his tongue. A flash of two people he now saw as guilty went in his vision. He felt wetness hit his leg, spreading under him with every second he was frozen until he saw something reach over him.

He slapped up at whatever it was, hissing as he unconsciously scattered back with both legs. "Get away-get away from me!" The words escapes his mouth with a yell. He felt the bone of the bad leg throb, but it still pushed him far enough from being touched. He felt the same thing grab at him again, and he went to hit it again only for it to wrap around his hand with fingers, warm with a firmness that he could break out of if he wanted to.

His hands said otherwise, barely snatching his hand away from the grasp. Adam kicked his leg out for leverage, only to feel more fingers wrapping around his ankle. Frustrated, he used his voice again to yell out, his only other protection that people watched out for. It kept going on, Roddy trying to wrangle a fire spitting Adam, who changed his tactics from kicking to yelling his head off. Nothing new except for the way Adam was looking at Roddy, with icy blue eyes that he's only seen towards the people he couldn't trust or didn't care for.

"Adam-"

"Don't!" The yell for the first time wasn't just noise. "Don't say my name like that…"

"Like what?"

"Like you care…you don't care about me." He spat out, a fact in his head that had happened before. He didn't notice how Roddy was looking at him in disbelief, too confirmed in the fact that someone was trying to kill him again.

Again…someone tried to kill him. They actually put something in his drink, his favorite drink, with the intent to send him to that place. To make him go under the darkness and never get out. When did his hands start shaking? Was it working already? He was seeing black spots in his vision, and his chest was burning.

He was right. He was being killed, and by someone he thought he trusted. Roddy looked like he was concerned, trying to grab at him again and saying lies to him. Asking if he was ok, if he felt alright, like they did before…

Before…oh God.

His body went slack, just in time for Roddy to get behind him and his back slumped back to his chest. Adam's hands didn't stop shaking in his grasp, it seemed to only get worse. His name sounded so far away, but he heard it being called with urgency. The burning was getting worse in his chest. He wasn't ready to go back to the darkness, he didn't want to go back under. He wasn't ready to die again, he came back wrong the first time. He didn't feel like the Adam that was around with the Elite, he felt…off.

Like something was missing in him. Maybe those 4 years that became a blur for him. That's probably why the Undisputed doesn't feel right except for Roddy.

Roddy… His voice broke, far away he called out for his friend who was just right behind him, trying to sooth him as best as he could. All Adam could do was try to hang on to the anchor he was attached to, squeezing at the hands that he fought just moments ago.

The burning in his chest was fading away, and that…that wasn't suppose to happen. He was suppose to feel it consume him, make it painful to where he would want to let the darkness win. It wasn't suppose to fade, the dots weren't suppose to fade as well, and he was suppose to see nothing in his vision. Not the yellow-ish lights that were trying to color the night sky.

His chest was still hurting, but for the wrong reasons. His voice wasn't yelling out for help, but coming to a realization that made him turn his body into the anchor that was holding him down and release it all into it.
