It’s really sad watching the evolution of the fandom’s perception of the Brazilians cuz I remember when they first joined and the Brazilian members of the fandom were happy that the streamers weren’t being criticized for their energetic and loud nature but now, that is exactly what is happening :/

Like I’ll admit I was harsh on Forever and Cellbit during the second debate because there was a disconnect in philosophy between the two sides of the debate and that frustrated me and I took bbh’s side because I understood his pov the best - but it never even occurred to me that they were “being too loud” or “taking over the debate” like????

These two are incredibly passionate about making the server a better and more fun place. Do I think they are playing into the federations hands? Yes, but so is everyone participating in the election, even the anarchists. Do I think they were being overbearing or talking over other people? No, they werent. At least not any more than everyone else?

This seems to be another evolution of the growing toxicity in the fan base. wasn’t it like last week when the fandom was tearing into the French for both being too into the lore and not into it enough depending on the member?

asking nct dream "would you still love me if i was a worm?"

Notes: hellu! i came to post something short! i’m sorry for not posting in a while, i hope everyone’s been doing well <3 i had fun writing this after joking about how some of the dreamies would react with a friend. i hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the week ahead! sending lots of love <3

𔘓 Mark:

Poor guy was peacefully strumming on his guitar while you’re lying next to him on the bed when you suddenly shot up from your position. “Mark… tell me something honestly.” You begin as you lightly hold his arm to get his full attention on you. He looks at you slightly confused, almost concerned as he places his guitar back on its stand. He stares at you with his brown, boba eyes, waiting for you to continue. “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” “Huh?” “Would you??” “Dude, I thought you were going to ask me something serious…” You fight the chuckle that’s threatening to come out and tell him that you were 100% serious. “So? What is it, Mark Lee? Would you still love me if I was a worm?” Mark sighs and then chuckles to himself before he goes, “Yes babe, I would still love you if you were a worm.” You can’t help but laugh too, “Good, that’s what I thought. Just saying, if you were a worm, I would still love you too” Mark can’t fight the urge to tackle you onto the bed just because he simply found you so cute, your limbs are tangled together and laughter would echo through your shared room. “You’re too cute, what am I supposed to do with you?”

𔘓 Renjun:

“Love, would you love me if I was a worm?” you ask Renjun as the two of you were walking around the grocery store. He doesn’t respond, only letting out a soft sigh. “Why are you ignoring me? Would you still-” “Don’t say stuff like that in public, people can hear you…” You gasped and was about to start pretending to get upset when Renjun mumbles out a “Why do you like to ask me these questions, my answers are always the same anyways”. He takes a bag of your favourite chips off the shelf as he continues, “I always say yes and you always doubt me” “Because, logically, why would you?” “If I say no you’ll get upset” “So you don’t mean it, you’re just saying it so I won’t get upset?” “My love, I am not going to start this in the middle of a grocery aisle” “Touch your heart right now, would you still love me if I were a worm?” Renjun places his index finger on his lips because there were others who just got to the aisle you two were in. But with one hand on his chest, he says, “Yes I would”. You smile to yourself before you quickly respond with “Okay but I wouldn’t if you were a worm though, I’m scared of worms” “But you know it’s me, why would you be scared?” And this discourse would last all the way till you’re both packing your groceries into the back of the car, not caring who hears or judges the two of you. In the end, you both agreed that you would both still love each other even if one of you were a worm.

𔘓 Jeno:

The two of you are eating jellies while watching some random movie on the TV. It’s a slow, lazy Sunday and both you and Jeno have been cuddling and snacking on the couch. Though you were comfortable – lying on your boyfriend’s chest while munching away on jellies – you were almost bored to death because you lost the plot of this movie midway. The question suddenly popped into your head and you decided to ask Jeno just to see his reaction. “Jen?” He hums in reply, his hand rubbing your back delicately. “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” Jeno’s hand on your back stills and he lifts his head slightly to look at you. You can’t tell if he was confused, or trying not to laugh at you. “Why would you suddenly ask me that?” “Just tell me honestly, I promise I won’t get upset even if you say no.” Jeno squints at you before he lies back down, continuing his movements on your back as you continue to look at him. “Yea, I suppose I’ll still love you if you were a worm. I'll take extra care of you too… even though I’m not too sure what worms eat” You coo at his reply and snuggle closer and Jeno just holds you closer and chuckles. After a brief moment of silence, Jeno suddenly mumbles, almost shyly,  “What about you… would you still love me if I was a worm?” 

𔘓 Haechan:

Haechan’s driving, his focus is on the road but he has one hand on your thigh like he always does when he’s on the road. You’re just scrolling through your phone when you come across a tiktok with the question. He’s singing to Where Do I Fit In by Justin Bieber while tapping to the slow beat against your thigh when you decide to ask him. “Baby, can I ask you something?” “What is it baby?” You quickly open your camera app to film his reaction. Once you hit record, you asked, “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” Haechan glances at you and sees your phone as he laughs at your question, “Should I tell you the truth?” “Of course” “Okay then… no” And he only keeps laughing after taking a peek at your reaction, your jaw hangs open at his unexpected answer. “If I’m still a person, why would I like a worm? Baby, think about it… would YOU love me if I became a worm?” “Of course I would!” “You’re lying, I won’t even be able to talk to you.” “Exactly, that’s one less person to annoy me. I might even love you more if you became a worm.” Haechan scoffed as he stopped at a redlight. He does his signature annoyed expression, where his tongue pokes against the inside of his cheek. “I was only joking, you know? But now, if you were a worm, I’ll just use you as fish bait.”  You can’t help but laugh at his pettiness but you soon yelp and stop recording when Haechan pinches your thigh lightly before the traffic light turns green and he starts driving again. 

𔘓 Jaemin:

“Jaem, would you still love me if I was a worm?” You asked while you’re watching him cook dinner. He turns around to look at you, as if he heard you wrong. “If you were a worm?” “Mhm” “Hmm, let me think about it.” You laugh and walk over to him, leaning your cheek against his shoulder as you take a whiff of the food. You sigh in bliss, you’re so excited to just devour the food already. “If you’re a worm, am I also a worm?” Jaemin asks as he blocks you with his arm so that you would be a safe distance away from the hot pan as he walks to the counter to plate the food. “I guess you could be? But you could be just as you are right now too.” Jaemin hums in understanding, and nods to your plate, asking you to eat first. You give him a quick peck on the cheek as a ‘thank you’ before you sit down at the counter seat and pick up your utensils to dig in. “I would love you if you were a worm, but I want to be a worm too. It’s hard to be together if I’m still a person don’t you think?” You only nod, too distracted by the food to think about anything else. Jaemin chuckles at you before he wipes the corner of your lips that was stained with sauce, “Is it good?” “It’s so so good, honey. You’re the best~” And Jaemin stares at you lovingly for a bit more before he starts eating, you look so endearing when you’re enjoying your food. “Even if we’re worms, I’d still cook delicious food for you.”

𔘓 Chenle: 

You and Chenle are walking Daegal at the park downstairs when you were reminded by the conversation you had with your friends earlier that day. So, you decided to ask Chenle too. “Chenle, would you still love me if I was a worm?” “What? A worm?” And you nodded. “No.” You’re not too surprised because you told your friends the same thing. How were you even supposed to fall in love with a worm? “Right? That’s what I told my friends too.” “How am I going to love you if I can’t even communicate with you? I don’t speak worm-language.” You laugh at that as you stated your own reasons too. You looked at Daegal walking with a bounce to her step beside the two of you and said, “I’ll love you if you were a dog though.” “I’m sorry baby, I only love one dog. Isn’t that right baby?” Chenle said as he picked Daegal up. “Okay, if Daegal and I fell into the water at the same time who-” “Baby, don’t even finish the question. You know you’ll only get upset.” You shot him a glare, “Don’t be stupid, save Daegal. I can swim just fine!” Chenle laughs as he pulls you close with his free hand and kisses the side of your head. “Alright, alright. You know I love you just as you are.”

Jisung wasn’t sure he heard you right so he just laughed. But you’re staring at him with your doe eyes, waiting for an answer and his face fell. “Wait, did you just ask if I would still love you if you were a worm?” “Yeah, I did” Jisung is simply amused at the question and he begins to think about it as if you were really going to turn into a worm in the next 10 minutes. “Baby, I won’t get upset, you know? It’s just a meme that’s going around online.” “I would.” He says before he goes back to his game on his phone. “Wait, really?” “Yea, why not? I’m sure you’ll look cute as a worm.” “I thought you wouldn’t say yes because you’ll find me gross.” Jisung puts his phone down and looks at you, “I’ll never think you look gross.” “But I’ll be a worm… I won’t look like myself now anymore.” Jisung ponders on it before he turns to smile at you. “No, I think you’ll still look cute.” You pout at him out of endearment before giving him a hug because you think he’s so precious. He holds your waist and returns the question back to you. “Of course… I’ll love you no matter what you become.”

I assume you’re asking about Hetalia since I’ve made half a million posts about how many Hetalia ships I severely dislike so yea I’ll talk about the ones I like

Also I’d like to preface by saying my interpretations of characters are based loosely on canon, and more on history and culture since I’m kind of a nerd in that regard. *Ahem*

Firstly I’d say SuFin. I’m not gonna lie and say their history is perfect and their people make fun of each other a lot but I’d say they’re still on good enough terms

DenNed is another one, I really like this because Danes and the Dutch are obsessed with each other, information brought by my Dutch best friend, and I just think they are so similar but also opposite enough that it’s cute

RoBul because even people irl who have never even heard of Hetalia say that Romania and Bulgaria as countries act like they’re dating, and I think it’s hilarious. Plus out of all of the Balkan countries this is like the least problematic ship out there

PoLiet as well. This can get rocky historically and I think some people who don’t really know history can make this super problematic super quickly, but certain interpretations aren’t bad. Plus in modern day we’re super close. I say ‘we’ because I’m Polish lol. Even the people. We poke fun at each other sure but we still really like each other

FrUk I think is just silly. Do they get along? No. Are they in any way similar? No. Does this ship have any redeeming qualities? No. Do I ship it just because I think that’s funny? Yes. They’re bitter old men who have centuries long discourse and I think that’s absolutely hilarious

There’s some others I do like, but don’t consider my favourite ships as well, so I promise there’s more lol but for now I think that’s a good list 💪 if you wanna know about any specific ones lmk

Sorry for the intense experience with the KP fandom (as it usually is) but its generally not advisable to put discourse worthy topics and character and/or ship criticism in the main tag where all 3 ships (and shippers) exist.

You're bound to step on some toes given the wide variety of people sharing and existing in that space.

That's probably why you're getting an influx of disgruntled KC shippers. It would've happened had it been about KP or VP (I would know because I've been here since before the show even began to air, and boy... ... ...).

It's not entirely reflective of the fandom. Though I hope you can enjoy the rest of the show.

Im gonna be honest, I’ve been in fandom spaces for over a decade and this is one of the worst, most toxic fandoms i have ever been in. If you wanna get into Redacted, i would recommend staying in your own little corner of the fandom happily playing with your blorbos. The content is okay, but the majority of this fandom is lowkey batshit insane. Everything from shaming people for liking villainous characters, general chronically online takes about fiction and how it relates to reality, to suicide baiting and peer pressuring that you *must* agree with the most common opinions in fandom. The environment around discourse in this fandom is so bad that whenever any dissenting opinions occur amongst the fanbase, everyone immediately starts making a million posts telling everyone to calm down in fear that Erik is going to take down content because people don’t like it.

Oh yikes 😰😰 unfortunately I do know how these types of fanbases feel (since I was in the Danganronpa and Genshin fandoms at some point) and yea they really can be a pain in the ass to deal with, especially knowing how lightly you need to thread or how you always need to watch what you say. It also hurts as a content creator knowing that your fan base is arguing constantly and is just honestly hard to control.

I’ll keep all of this in mind though once I do start to listen to his audios, thank you for telling me about all of this anon <3

i didn’t take it that way either i just either took his face as the yea he got her the chocolates or helped get them way or the him feeling regret for even making the chocolate jokes way. but honestly anon if he knew about her feelings there’s a lot more nuance there than just him knowing. i know if it ever gets revealed there’s going to be So much discourse about that and i’ll be on the defending him side 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ i hope if they ever reveal that or go in that direction they have ricky explain himself completely bc it’ll stop at least SOME of the discourse that will happen 😭😭

yeah this EXACTLY !! we didn’t get ANY of ricky’s perspective on everything that went down with gina in s2. nothing. zilch. nada. it’s very easy to be biased, or to put or the blame on him bc everything is skewed in gina’s point of view!! and that’s not me saying that she’s wrong for feeling the way she feels, but it’s easy to empathise with someone when you’re only seeing things through their point of view. 

the situation is ALWAYS going to be more nuanced than “ricky knew how gina felt” bc that’s never going to be all there is to it. by the time he knew for SURE (aka the 206 flashback scene) he’d already gotten back together with nini. what was he supposed to do? break up with his girlfriend? cheat on his girlfriend? no! we like ricky! we don’t want him to do that!

let’s do a mini deep dive into s2a:

in 201, we see gina clearly hurting. it won’t become crystal clear why until we see the flashback scene, but we know she’s not happy with ricky, and we know that ricky isn’t entirely sure why (this man does a TRIPLE take). things are awkward and they clearly don’t know where they stand. 

in 202 we get the same kind of thing, but this time ricky is clearly kind of stunned that gina is even talking to him...or that she even cares. so i present to you exhibit a:

ricky directs this towards gina. this links back to their conversations in 102 and 105. gina was the reason he stayed with the show! it’s the reason (both times!) they let each other in and have their guards down. 

moving on to 203. gina seeks out ricky this time, and this is pretty vital bc before that she’d been avoiding him. they talk abt their mothers, they reiterate that they get each other, and gina offers him some advice that ends up working for him (and that’s kind of key y’all). the chocolates theory can also slot in here but given that it’s not canon............(yet) i won’t go into detail abt it

in 204 we see rina as close to their s1 dynamic as we get in s2. they’re joking around, having fun, smiling and laughing. it feels lighthearted but we know that gina is still hurting. ricky does not, bc gina is acting as though everything is fine. once again, when ricky needs some advice, gina offers it. 

moving on to 205, we find gina at the end of her rope. she can’t deal with it anymore, but ricky clearly has the opposite feelings. he thinks he and gina are friends again, hence why he goes to her for advice. he thinks she’s over it!! gina expresses her need for space and some boundaries, and ricky is kind of stunned, bc in the past couple of eps gina seemed fine!! we as the audience know she wasn’t, but everything ricky saw suggested that she was.

in 206 we get the final nail in the coffin. we see ricky obviously still very open to being friends with gina, while gina is absolutely not having it and veryyyyy confused, see exhibits c and d:

ricky again tries to reconnect with gina during one of the exercises, see exhibit e:

this fails and then we do not see him initiate anything with her for the REST OF THE SEASON. 

everyone likes to act as though ricky is...stupid? oblivious? (and i am definitely guilty of that too sometimes) but he really isn’t. ricky liked gina!! 105 106 and 107 are GREAT examples of him liking her! he stopped pursuing nini when they became friends and the moment gina left?? that’s when his romance with nini picked back up again. but they were already back together when gina confessed, so i repeat: what exactly was ricky supposed to do?? 

unfortunately, the discourse is always going to be present bc most people do not want or need to over analyse a disney show like i do. and most people do not care to see any nuance or depth to rina’s relationship. the nuance and depth, i might add, that has always been there.

a) this webbed sites reliance on the delineation of minors versus non minors to judge appropriate behaviour. I think we fall into a lot of pretty black and white categories for the more complex spectra of the late teens by acting like everyone under 18 is uniformly a Child and everything above 18 is an Adult. this isn’t me saying we should harass minors or that minors shouldn’t be protected- they absolutely should- but that ya know, there are definitely sixteen and seventeen year olds interested in engaging in sexual content in healthy and normal ways as part of development and vide versa I don’t think the vast majority of eighteen year olds suddenly feel like full grown adults the moment they hit a specific legal age category and that the eighteen plus crows are still young and need to be treated both as adults with the agency and as complicated teenagers who may still be acclimatising to adulthood and need other kinds of communal support.

Did Kit suddenly lose his ability to heart-eye or is Pol!Jon actually a thing.

I'm late to the fandom but I just finished S7 and I'm having thoughts.

I'm a reader of the books, and I hadn't watched the show till now because... I suck at watching shows with hour long episodes and more than three seasons.

What made me decide to watch it was the Pol!Jon discourse I found on the Internet.

I know enough about the show to understand how unlikely and out of character this theory would seem to show watchers. At the same time, I fully believe that book!Jon would be fully capable of something like this. But also, even though I do ship Jonsa in the books, I can't deny that Jonerys is.....a big deal. Everyone expects it to happen. It's a highly anticipated pairing and....I just couldn't honestly believe Pol!Jon because it is just so against the general expectation.

So I decided to watch the show. And now I've finished season 7 and I am astounded.

Let me preface this by saying that I went into S7 already disliking Jonerys (sue me) but I still fully expected to have some serious doubts about the validity of Jonsa. I fully expected to be at least somewhat convinced of Jonerys. Even hating the idea of Jon and Danaerys together, I still expected more.

There are a number of things I would like to note here.

First, Jonerys is a romance that is told, not shown. Davos talks about Jon watching Dany's "good heart" (hehe) to tell us Jon is attracted to Dany. But then Jon immediately dismisses it- and not in a way that looks like he's deflecting. He's not only dismissing it, he's dismissive of it. His mind is not in the conversation, it is beyond the Wall.

Similarly, Tyrion says (not in those words), "yeah right, and Jon only looks at you longingly coz he wants a military alliance with you". Not sure what I'm supposed to think about that....? First, Jon doesn't look at Dany longingly at all???? Not once. Second, is this line supposed to suggest that Jon is looking at her longingly for a reason that is not desperately wanting a military alliance....? Because we already know that that's exactly what he does want. Wtf do I make of this statement?????

There are other examples, but the point remains. People keep talking about Jon and Dany being into each other, and that is what is supposed to convince us that they are into each other (well yea Dany is) but Jon gives no indication of looking at her longingly, of falling in love with her, of being intrigued by her even. He's a brick wall.

Alright, I'll concede one (1) scene where I saw legitimate attraction on his face for a second- that is the cave scene. Even there tho, it's hard to tell if he's just watching her reaction carefully or if he wants to bang her.

On the other hand, Dany shows that she is into him. Even so, when I say she's into him, I mean she's attracted to him and intrigued by him. I cannot believe she loves him.

Next, I think it's interesting that in the episode before (or was it the same episode?) Jon bends the knee, we have a number of people (Tormund, Beric) talk about stuff like- kings not bending the knee leading to people dying, knowing what's important (the fight against the dead), being the shield that guards the realm of men blah blah I don't remember the exact words. Then he sees the WW and the Army of the Dead (again) and sees a dragon die. And then, the first opportunity he gets, he bends the knee. I want to point out here that the scenes really emphasise on Jon's thinking face after every conversation he has during their little gay party beyond the Wall. They focus on the look on his face again while he's watching the Army. Multiple times. And there's clearly something going on in his head, gears are turning.

One other scene that struck me is the scene where Jon and Dany are saying goodbye to each other (the Eastwatch episode). In the same episode (if I remember correctly) Jon calls them strangers, and then the goodbye scene comes and Dany says to Jon's little morbid joke, "I've grown used to him". Him being Jon. Two things to note here-

One, Jon considers them strangers but Dany has gotten "used to him". Maybe it's nothing, or maybe it's an indication of how the two of them are absolutely not on the same page (about anything).

Second, Jon's face after she says that. It shuts down. Like a door slamming. And then he says that "wish you good fortune in the wars to come" line, which has ZERO romance, or longing, but a whole lot of bad precedent (does that make sense?). Ouch. The thought that occured to me here is that Dany is being somewhat obvious about her feelings, and maybe, just maybe Jon has picked up on it. And that is why he reacts the way he does.

I wasn't sure so I compared the scene with the Jonsa forehead kiss scene in S6, and Jon's expressions after that kiss.

My logic was this- I assume that either Jon has become aware of Dany's feelings in the Eastwatch goodbye scene, or his own feelings for her. One of these assumptions is true. Which one?

If Jon has feelings for Sansa, then his confusion/awareness/discomfort regarding that are seen in that forehead kiss scene. So if Jon has become aware of his feelings for Dany, let's see how these two scenes compare?

My dudes. There is no comparison. Go watch it.

I watched both scenes with sound off, and the difference is insane. Jon looks at Sansa's lips. There's a moment's pause that's full of tension, and then his face shuts in a way, but it's a bit confused, a bit thoughtful.

Jon does not look at Dany's lips. He does not look confused, or thoughtful. This is not a romance.

Side observation- speaking of showing and telling, it's funny how we're shown Jon looking at Sansa's wolf bits, and told that Jon looks at Dany's good heart. Yes I'm talking about boobs but wolf bits and good heart is funnier. We literally see Jon look at the wolf bits twice, talk about it himself, in a completely unnecessary conversation...as opposed to being entirely dismissive of the good heart, even when someone else brings it up.

Back to the main point, one last thing I'd like to talk about is the scene where Jon actually bends the knee (not really). First, there are still no heart-eyes. Definitely not from Jon. Second, it's funny how Jon uses the exact hand-grabbing move that Sansa used on him last season, when she was trying to convince him to do something he didn't particularly wanna do (like he's now trying to do with Dany). This means that

1) he learnt that move from Sansa. He knows how effective it is XD

2) if the Jonerys hand-grab is romance, it stands to reason that the Jonsa hand-grab is romance too. I mean both the grabs are suspiciously similar.

Then, even after Dany "promises" that she'll help the North fight the WW, Jon still bends the knee. I felt both an odd sense of urgency coming from him, and an understandable hesitation. Or maybe that's just me.

Now suddenly, he becomes complimentary of her. But there's something weird about his compliments. They are completely generic. "They'll see you for what you are" and in the later episode, "you're not like the others". Wtf does that MEAN ??

Here's the thing...Jon could have paid Dany a way more specific, genuine sounding compliment after bending the knee (complete with heart eyes). I mean she did just fly over the Wall to rescue him and his men. He could have said more, something meaningful, but he didn't. He bent the knee like a house on fire (that doesn't make sense but you get what I mean I hope) and paid generic compliments. Then he pretended to sleep until she left and then sighed very loudly.

??? Romance??? WHERE????

Then the dragon pit. Heart-eyes still missing.

Then the sex scene. What do I say? Lol.

No really. There are no heart eyes even during the sex scene. Honestly, idk what that face was. Not in love for sure.

Another side note- Arya and Sansa have talks while standing in the same place where the forehead kiss scene happened (wtf do you call that place again, the bridge.??) But no heart eyes. No lingering looks. There is no incestuous gay love between them, I can say for sure. All it does is prop up the odd incestuous vibes of the Jon Sansa scene in that same place.

ANOTHER side note- goddamn but does Sansa talk about Jon a lot.

Hell, ya wanna know something? When I first made my edited pinned and mentioned there was a fash trying to lay low in the fandom and to message me so I can let folks know? Know how many messages I got? Fuckin two. Only two whole people cared enough about a cryptofash to actually reach out. Can you rant about the chorn twist please? I hate it and it’s nice to see that someone else does too

disclaimer: i mean no offence to / have no ill will towards people who do like this twist, this is just my own analysis and opinion. i dont want to start discourse here and probably wont respond to any counter-arguments.

so i dislike the chorn twist for 2 main reasons:

1 - its a poorly executed twist

2 - it goes completely against what the rest of the show is saying thematically

a good twist does not come out of nowhere. foreshadowing exists for a reason - so that the twist, while being unexpected, still makes sense. a twist should also add to the story, in my opinion. the only things you could take as foreshadowing are the joke about lightning not working like that and chorn naming fire. this is, in my opinion, not enough, and both would still make sense if the twist didnt happen. there is no indication that there is anything more to the story than what is presented, and barely any indacation that chorn is more than it seems. personally, i do not look back at firebringer and think, 'oh in hindsight that ending makes sense', i think 'i like this story but why was the alien stuff tacked on to the end?'

as for twists adding to the story, that brings me to my second point. ive actually talked about the chorn twist in relation to the shows themes here, (as well as why the repsise of 'the leaves fall from the trees' lines in particular pisses me off) but i will reiterate.

i know firebringer is first and foremost a comedy, but there are some - in my opinion - really beautiful themes in there too. progress, questions, just the nature of humanity as a whole. if anyone wants a thematic breakdown of firebringer hit me up but for now i'll just say that thematically the show was resolved by zaz and jemilla learning to work together, and thats demonstrated with the defeat of snarl. the conflict between them was not about progression and finding answers themselves, but how to progress and find answers. that's an important distinction, because what the chorn twist does is resolve the former, which does not need resolving. They had just figured out how to move forward, when all the answers were simply given to them. it feels hollow.

now im not sure how cohherent that all was, so think of it this way:

you've been preparing to make a one-of-a-kind art piece for weeks - picking the right colours, doing trial runs, getting your friend's opinions. and then just as you're about to start one of your friends gives you a piece just like you were going to make and tells you they've been an established artist for years and had this art ready the whole time. sure, you have the end product you wanted now, but all that prep you did is for nothing.
