Being the fifth-born child to two prolific slayers gave Jade an unique upbringing. The hands-off approach from her eternally busy parents shielded her from the soul-crushing duties and expectations her much older siblings were burdened with, but in turn, the parental guidance and love (albeit misguided) the rest of the Bloodworth clan experienced growing up were absent from her life. She was the outlier. An afterthought, and though never outwardly articulated, an accident.
Jade took her first steps amid blades and wooden stakes, always in the shadow of her siblings, who, on top of everything, shouldered the responsibility of raising her while their parents took on hunting responsibilities. It didn’t sour her personality; rather, it made her louder, funnier (and yes, a little insolent). Desperate to stand out.
As the appendage in the abundant Bloodworth lineage, her training was delayed compared to her siblings' and only began because she was too much of a nuisance to keep at home. She tagged along with her oldest brother and sister, accompanying them in the odd hunt here and there. Less like an active participant and more like a caddie to a golf player. But they showed her the ropes, and sooner rather than later (she had a penchant for picking up weapons faster than the rest) she was allowed to hunt like them.
Although she didn't get her parents' love nor interest, she yearned to impress them. Gain their respect. If not as a daughter, at least as a slayer.
Hunting was fun, Jade loved it. Despite her parents' flaws, she always believed their morals and principles were worth upholding. Ridding the world of the undead. Protecting those who couldn’t protect themselves. Preventing innocents from becoming monsters. And unburdening said monsters from their horrific fate. For the Bloodworths, mercy was the goal.
Unsurprisingly, her talents didn’t earn her progenitors’ esteem.
Until her father came home injured, incapacitated, and forced into retirement. Questions emerged about the future of the Bloodworths without their patriarch, though many qualified options were willing to rise to the occasion. For Jade, it was an opportunity for action. Impulsive thoughts spun too fast in her head. She’d take over his territory, exterminate the monsters faster and more effectively than he ever could at his old age. And when she came home with the news, her parents would finally shower her with the adoration she deserved.
Her plan? It was a hot mess.
Not at first, though. Not the first half hour, armed with her mother’s crossbow, and the cemetery at large like her favorite playground. She was at the top of her game, ruthless but merciful, making her siblings proud.
What came after? so not ideal
Adrenaline overrode red flags, inexperience made her smug. And the abnormal chaos in the cemetery awoke a different kind of beast. She saw it—her? It? Amid the shadows, looking every bit the tales she grew up scared of. The claws, the wings, the feet. Ew. A monstrous creature. How could she have known? Her father spoke a total of ten words to her throughout her adulthood, not one of them about an elder vampire who apparently hid in his turf. Worse of all, the beast fled, sparing no glance at Jade, but sending an extra horde of creatures to take care of her.
It should’ve been the end of her, really. The cherry on top of her insignificant life. Miraculously, she lived. Saved by her siblings, who knew better than to trust the youngest of the bunch. Because they knew her limitations, knew she wasn’t capable of taking the mantle. As if her ego hadn't already been bruised, having to come clean about an elder escape was even more humiliating.
Any attempt to rectify her mistake was in vain, the elder’s coffin long gone when she returned the following night, the place wiped of any signs it had been infested at all. (Small…victories?)
She fled town before word could get out to her parents. She didn’t need a lecture on the dimensions of her screw-up. So she wrote a letter, and set off on a path to fix everything. When her siblings called, and boy did they blow up her phone, she assured them she was alright and would return shortly. And when she faced her nemesis? she’d call for assistance. Her siblings had her back. Her parents? Well, they had four other kids to spare, they didn't try to find out about their youngest's whereabouts. She got it, they were old. They were always too old for her. She forgave them long ago for their shortcomings. All water under the bridge. Yep.
Tracking an elder vampire? Oof, all kinds of hard. No one ever asked her to track anything before. Too young, too green, too…open, ready to spill secrets and locations to anyone who asked. But she kept her head down and got to work, learned the skill. Went through archives, records, compiled evidence of this monster’s presence across country. Found patterns, conducted even more research.
Jade jumped from place to place for almost a year, until a tip of an elder causing some commotion near Maine led to the east coast. She was hot on her tail, but still had a long way to go.
One extra problem? Wicked’s Rest didn’t suit her. Even when she was unhappy, she never showed it. It was her whole schtick. But the town sucked ass, especially the weather. And the food. She wasn't too fond of the people either, though she would find a way to make friends. Besides, she wasn’t here for pleasure (though she was so heading somewhere sunny when she’s done). She was getting closer to coming head to head with her biggest screw-up again, and she needed to let those small grievances go. Get her head in the game, like that one philosopher once said. No matter the cost, she won’t fail twice. Because… how would she explain that to her parents?

Personality: Charming, jealous, easy-going, impulsive, uninhibited, irreverent, clever, deceptive, daring, self-indulgent
What she may lack in physical prowess she makes up for her weapon mastery and people skills. Unfortunately, the “people” in Wicked’s Rest are unlike anything she’s dealt with before.
Knives and other blades are fun, but her preferred weapon is a small crossbow she stole from her mother’s vault. Other than that, she has an old set of stakes she had customized back in the day. There’s one named after each member of One Direction. Nowadays, it’s hard to keep them all in one bag. Plus, she keeps losing Zayn.
She has reached the last available level on Candy Crush. Constantly sends messages asking for more levels.
Roxie, a Triumph Street Twin, is her most prized possession. It belonged to oldest brother, Onyx, who gave it to her before embarking on her elder hunt. She traveled across the country with her, as she’s terrified of planes.
Loves singing (can carry a tune too) and will always be down for karaoke. Though her go-to song is nothing melodically challenging, instead she prefers the beat of Eminem’s ‘Lose yourself’, which she can rap to perfection.
Other than vampiric creatures and adjacents, she has limited knowledge of the supernatural world. She knew they existed, but couldn’t tell you what’s a squonk or a cu-síth. Wicked’s Rest is proving to be more than she bargained for.

Jazz is Damian's bio sibling, not Danny
I see tons of Demon Twin AUs, and I love them, but I started to wonder about what the universe would look like if Jazz was Damian's sister.
Not sure what her birth name in this AU would be (Yasmin? Yasmina? Something else) so I'm going to just refer to her as Jazz.
I'm thinking that Jazz was attempt #1 at getting the perfect heir, and for whatever reason, she was deemed to be inferior. Is there something actually wrong with her? No, but Ra's is an asshole. If you'd like to go a more sexist route, Jazz could be unworthy because she's female (in this AU, Ra's keeps Talia around to make an heir, not to be the heir).
Despite not being the perfect child they wanted, Talia and Ra's train Jazz until they are able to try again. She's taught as if she was the heir, even though everyone knows she isn't, because there isn't a better choice at the moment.
When Jazz is three, Damian is born. Damian is her little brother and she loves him as best she can, but Damian is raised to treat her as inferior, and it shows. Everyone looks down on her, especially Ra's, and that attitude is the example Damian follows.
Jazz is still trained, because if nothing else she could still be an assassin, but no one holds out much hope for her. She isn't as talented as Damian, even though she's older. She's not as strong or as stealthy or as cutthroat. She is more clever, but she is older than him, so it's brushed off. Besides, good assassin soldiers don't need to be clever, they just need to obey.
But where Damian excels in the physical arts, Jazz excels at the mind arts. Solving puzzles, recognizing patterns, psychoanalyzing her opponents to predict their moves - that's what she's good at. It's clearly inherited from Batman (no one can explain her red hair, though).
When Jazz is eight and Damien is five, Jazz flees the League. Why and how is your choice. Maybe Damian is supposed to kill her in a show of superiority. Maybe Talia helps her fake her death and escape as a final act of motherly love. Maybe Jazz flees on her own, wanting to be something else even if she doesn't know what.
Jazz makes it to America, and then to a little podunk town in the middle of nowhere, Illinois, called Amity Park. She meets the Fenton parents and their almost six-year-old son, Danny. And somehow, they take her in. And for a while, it's the family she wished she had, with loving parents and a little brother who didn't want to stab her.
Danny isn't Damian. He isn't a replacement. She knows that they aren't the same. They are radically different, even if they both make her want to cuddle and love them (at least Danny doesn't try to stab her for doing it). She can miss Damian and what could have been while embracing what she has found.
And for a while, she's happy.
Sure, she didn't expect her little brother (Danny is her Little Brother, Damian is her Baby Brother, there has been and will always be a difference to her) to die and come back, but she's seen weirder stuff when she was in the League.
She also didn't expect Danny to use his newfound powers to become a hero, but it's his choice, and she's going to support him. At least she has her League training to fall back on, even if she's a bit rusty.
And yeah, she was hoping that her adoptive parents would take Danny's halfa status a lot better than they did, but she'd always known it wasn't going to end well. She's always been good at recognizing behavioral patterns, and theirs said nothing good. But she'd hoped, for Danny's sake, that she would be wrong.
She never thought she would flee for her life for a second time, but here she is, driving a stolen car with her unconscious and bleeding brother in the backseat, heading towards the one place she swore she would never set foot in: Gotham.

zain's scenes were PEAK as always
if i remember right there were two, one of them had yasmin dreaming of the two of them DYING which had me shook but the cg was so beautiful and in the other they actually interact and spend time together in zain's home and 😭 he tries to hold yasmin's hand and he's actually TENDER but yasmin is a dumbass so she rejects his affection and walks off because she's mad at him and i was like BITCH WHY but also. i was living for the tension and resentment because i feel like it really sets their dynamic apart from the other LIs
OH we also get to learn zain's full name and i forgot it but i remember thinking it was beautiful hdkshdks so that was satisfying. the whole scene in his home was all about yasmin being like lol i don't even know anything about you and zain being ok queen read my bio right here and he starts rattling off random facts about himself and it was so interesting i lived for it

I was trying to keep this short enough for a reply because my last one was so long, but…
First, let me say that Giddy Up and Footloose was so much fun!
It was after the bowling dress that I said to myself, "watch she win," but it was more like an upset during the playoffs, like coming from behind kind of win. But this? This is an upset in it's own right. I don't think most readers thought that her braggadocious attitude could come off as charismatic, and yet… I would be surprised if their bars weren't halfway in the green.
I thought he had chemistry with Noemy, but this is off the charts in comparison, even considering that they didn't really flirt. Of course I didn't know what the date was going to be like, but I knew it wasn't going to be dressage or a mountainside rescue, so it could only be something playful. And that underscored for me that Yasmine's date wasn't structured like the others in terms of flow.
But even with that, I think that these last two dates were actually the most fruitful in terms of Quinton seeing, not quite to the heart of them, exactly, a bit too early for that, but at least being able to see… wait for it… what they're made of.😉
So, I'm not recanting, but I believe the juxtaposition does offer a different perspective on the outcome of Yasmine's date. I have other thoughts about this that are tethered to a couple things, including, something you said in response to my previous ask and, that, rather than a romantic relationship, the date would seem more like the start of a mentorship, but I'll hold off on those until later if they're still relevant when later comes.
And Chanel was the first to ask about his kids! I was not surprised that it was her, but I was surprised that I forgot that Noemy didn't. I remember thinking (assuming, really) the convo Quinton and Noemy had on the plane would lead to her reciprocating the question in someway, but it never happened. Well, it did, but it was about his late wife and they never made it to the kids. I'm not keeping score because I'm actually only rooting for Quinton at this point, but I know that he is, so that had to earn Chanel some points.
I think the main thing this date represents to me is the beginning of a solid friendship, which is sooooooooooooo important in the long run. Having the hots for each other is all well and good, but for most sex-favorable couples, sex happens in between everything else. So, knowing you can vibe with them during everything else is a great foundation. Though, I suppose that vibe won't matter as far as endgame goes if their pink bar stays low, because, again, they didn't really flirt, at least not in a way that the game recognizes.
Up to this point, save for Lucy, who I like personality-wise, I've been indifferent about the rest, just observing, but this date has definitely moved Chanel into the like column. And that's all thanks to the way you're choosing to translate their traits and bio info into personalities in action; it's what I'm enjoying the most.

Now below the cut.
I can honestly say Chanel surprised me as well. I came into this with one or two sims who had backstories that truly tugged at me. Now, after a weekend of playing these sims, I am all over the place. I just knew Quinton and Chanel would end up with a negative bar. She's in the negative with two of her housemates. However, I was surprised at how Quinton's mood was around Yasmine. Especially since they hit it off so great at the bowling alley, but I guess that's why one on ones are important.
Giddy Up and Footloose was really Andraya's date but she reacted negatively towards the horse. So, I went to look at her likes and dislikes and saw dislikes animals. Then re-read her bio and same thing. I don't know how I missed that. So yes, the execs (meaning me) messed up. So nosey and persistent Chanel came in handy because was not about to build another venue. She literally came outside and interrupted their interaction. It's just funny how everybody eventually showed up at the bar while she was having her date with Quinton. Even Dani but she was barefoot for some reason, so I sent her home. It takes all my strength to not cheat or intervene when these sims act unfavorably or against my interest. I have one possibly two sims I'd like to see win but since these sims have been surprising me in ways, I could not have imagined I'm going to let the chips fall where they land. The story has been literally writing itself. I do take some liberties with posing because sims don't do certain things like walk and holds hands. Also, they move too much when sitting or standing while talking so I will use conversation poses after I've done the game play interactions. Saying all that to say it is 85% organic and that's more than what USDA and FDA can say about our organic food.

They lived there for a couple of years until Fern tragically died and the members of the guild left, too sad to stay. This resulted in Fuuka and Yasmin becoming homeless as no other members offered to take them in. Some nights they would sleep in an abandoned house while other nights they would sleep in the alley with only newspapers to keep them warm.
Things were dull and tough until one day, Fuuka found small pieces of chalk and drew her foster mother, Sakura on the sidewalk. People began to stop by, admiring the work and soon, they gave away currency and food. That is how they made a living, by selling her works in exchange for currency. This allowed them to buy food, stay at a hotel and buy things like clothes and art supplies. Her works became well known throughout the world

"The Woman Who Fell to Earth" is the debut episode of the Thirteenth and first female Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker. The episode starts with Ryan Sinclair creating a YouTube video recounting a recent event where he reflects on attempting to ride bicycles with his grandmother, Grace, and her husband, Graham. He talks about the greatest women he has ever known. Ryan struggles with dyspraxia and keeps falling off the bike. Frustrated, he throws the bike into a forest, leading him to discover glowing golden lines in the air and an alien pod. Yasmin Khan, a police officer, gets involved in the investigation after she gets a report to respond to Ryan's call about what he has seen. Yasmin and Ryan reconnect, knowing each other from their school days. The Doctor who comes falling down to earth after her TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension In Space) knocks her out, it crashes through the roof of a train where Grace and Graham are and intervenes when a tentacle creature attacks the passengers.
The Doctor is still in the regeneration process and is the central figure guiding the group in understanding the alien threat. Once they accept that aliens are real, they embark on a quest to find the missing pod. During this time, they encounter bio-mechanical creatures and a tooth-collecting alien named Tzim-Sha. During this time, the Doctor builds herself a new sonic screwdriver tool to perform tasks like unlocking doors. The sonic screwdriver’s other abilities are to emit sonic waves, allowing it to manipulate electronic devices, analyze substances, and perform other functions. Tension starts to escalate, and as civilians are starting to be killed by Tzim-Shaw, tragedy strikes, with Grace sacrificing herself to help save others. Viewers learned that the YouTube video was about his Gram. The episode concludes with the Doctor picking out her new outfit, building a machine to find her now missing TARDIS, and then accidentally teleporting herself and her newfound companions into deep space.
If you want to watch Doctor Who but do not want to go back and watch from 1963 or 2005, when it started up for a new generation, then Jodie Whittaker's Doctor is the perfect place to start. The TARDIS team and the writers are getting a fresh start with this series. This is also the first time the Doctor has been a woman in over 55 years of the show running, so as one can picture, it sparked a lot of controversy. This role has been dominated by white men for the past 55 years, so when Jodie came, a lot of sexism started coming out from some fans, while others were happy that it was a step towards inclusivity and representation for all future doctors. Jodie Whittaker coming in as the first female doctor is a step for more female fans to come on and see themselves in the doctor and portrayed as a strong woman and not as the damsel in distress. Representation matters, especially with those characters who can change into someone else.
