Talk about an alliance of convenience, Moorhen too scared of Burn, Burn wanting to rip Scarlet's skull in two, Scarlet just enjoying her arena fights...
This was supposed to be an art of my AU alliance, but its more like Burn and Moorhen against Scarlet, not the canon trio, but well...
Lore:
Moorhen: "Burn is a powerful enemy, I fear her defeat, for we will be surrounded by our long lasting enemies, I fear her victory, she would destroy us if she so wished. She is an enemy I don't intend to make."
Moorhen, a long-ruling monarch over the feudal warlords in region of the Mud Queendom. For long a pacifist and neutral politician and diplomat, and good friend of former queen Oasis, who both shared an alliance against an expansionist younger Scarlet and a ressurgent queen Coral. All her efforts for peace shattered as her friend was murdered in a fateful night of 4993 AS, triggering a war that threatened to sweep the continent from life.
Moorhen though, proved herself also a good wartime planner. She deliberately delayed negotiations with Blister and had her forces in a mild state of readiness, forcing Scarlet and Coral to commit some resources to their border instead of crushing Burn's forces. A strategy that would pay off in 5003 AS, as the seawing commander Tempest was murdered by rogue mudwings, causing Coral to declare war on her, who soon joined Burn's side.
Moorhen is wary of her ally, she considers Burn a brute, lacking the charisma, patience and wisdom her mother had, but she still hopes she will learn that politics also happen other ways than at the end of her stinger. Though no amount of hope ends her traumatic nightmares of the losses her people are suffering or the idea that she is helping Burn to quickstart her own expansionist war across the continent.
Burn: "Many of my commanders and subjects believe we can retreat from the Five-Tails river, into our vast desert, reorganize and counter-attack. I ask them a simple question, with what food and water will we survive there? The Five-tails hold our homes, our food, our water. Its everything for us, without it, we lose. From now on, all this talk must be erased. No dragon will fly an inch back from that river!"
Few rulers in history could say they had as bad of a start as Burn had. Within one year, her life was transformed forever, from a mere general under Oasis to the queen of a nation under threat of total annihilation. Lacking the wisdom and charisma her mother had to conquer the hearts of the SandWings, she was governing a nation in disarray.
However, Burn had the will to make things work, her own way, of course, through brutal discipline and willpower, she mobilized the SandWings into a resistance war. The SkyWings were at her doorstep, hoping the already collapsing structure would finally fall, but it didn't. The SandWings held their capital at large casualties against Scarlet's armored army.
With the news of Moorhen entering the war at their side, the SandWings now hold their hopes in their savior to push back the SkyWings and restore their pride in facing the world.
Scarlet: "I will conquer that fortress! I will erase it from the map, slave the able-bodied and kill the rest! I will build a whole new vacations palace for me in its place!"
Scarlet, the 243rd reincarnation of Empress Carmine ascended in the throne in a fashion unique to her; By murdering her mother, sisters and other nobles in her wedding party. Since then, she built a cult of personality hardly seem since the times of Carmine herself 2000 years ago, her control of the skywings strengthed as she took their properties, their businesses and everything they had. Revolts were brutally crushed and soon everyone embraced the new status quo.
However, for Scarlet, it was never enough. She is a goddess alive, and the shadows of her wings will encompass the world. Despite for long being halted by Moorhen and Oasis alliance, the death of the later caused shockwaves through the continent, and Scarlet was quick to accept Blister as her ally and fly into the war.
Although her forces have proven incompetent in the siege of the Savannah Palace, Scarlet is confident that Burn will run out of dragons to fight far earlier than she will. The war of attrition is at the SkyWings' favor and with this threat ended permanently, the deserts will become a skywing territory and soon the continent will fall under the mighty of her armies.
Or so we shall see...

Wings of fire AU time, sorry if you were hoping for the qinter comic.
Hailstorm realizes how terrible Tundra, Narwhal and most of his family is terrible, he makes a plan, a plan to get him and his siblings out. He quickly realizes neither Icicle or Winter would willingly leave, so he decided that he has to force them to leave, but he knows Icicle would probably stop them but Winter would trust him more than icewing principles. So late one night Hailstorm wakes up Winter and quickly takes the sleepy Winter with him. Where are they going? Well Hailstorm has worked with sandwing during the sandwing succession he had heard stories of a place outside of the war and that was lead by a Sandwing who has quite a lot of rules about how to treat Dragonets and Hailstorm thinks it could be a good thing for Winter. Of course the sandwing in question is Thorn, so outclaw Winter and outclaw Hailstorm.

The continent of Scarria. hidden behind a wall of magical mist made by magical bird tribe. Yes this is an au                          Map, explained! (Credit to Scarria belongs to me and my friend, i just own the desings and 3/6 of the tribes of the contient)   Marshland, Rainforests, deserts, tundra, mountain range and the islands around the continent are self explanatory Eye of the land - references to the eye shape of the continent, this massive lake and island within it are religious ground to the batwings and they call the island withing 'Irisus'. Flamepeak - within the middle of the continent and surrounded by water, this mountain shows no volcanic movement but is regarded as a 'sleeping volcano' and is rumoured to have an ancient being locked within it, a being made of fire and magma, no one has proved or disproved as exploring within the mountain is forbidden and made illegal by all four current queens. Many dragons believe that climbing this mountain will grant fortune and wishes. The ancient ruins - four massive ancient ruins are scattered across the lands, over 300 years ago began a massive war that was caused by the four that time kingdoms fighting over the land that existed, causing grave destruction to the land and causing the deaths of the four queens of that time when the ancient spirits collapsed the castles of the four queens atop them. Leading the heirs who inherited the thrones to unite the four kingdoms into one massive kingdom to be ruled by four royal families and democracy. One still living dragon from this time is Queen Insular of the batwings, due to batwings having a proven much longer livespan than other tribes. Heart placing palace - the largest build ever made and able to house a massive amounts of dragons, it has many spirals going up and many rooms showcasing the culture of the four tribes that rule from within it. Four royal families life within this palace and its the 'heart of the continent', this has a reasoned nickname not explained much, even if oddly placing. Mist wall - this massive wall of mist is the reason this continent has yet to be found, this wall of mist surrounds the continent and its nearby isles. It is enchanted so when you try to enter the continent from the outside you get teleported to the other side of the continent outside the wall again, causing dragons to dismiss this mass of clouds to be smaller than it is. As well is this mist used to deflect any and all kind of outside magic (ie: spells from Darkstalker and Jerboa III being the most recent example)

[Pictured above is that of SkyWing General Sparrow and ex-captain Searing engaged in sparring with swords. They are highlighted by a lightning storm that rages around them.] (SFAU)
-Annual report recorded by SkyWing scribe, Secretary, to superior, Scalding, approx. 15 years after the War of SandWing Succession began-
"This war has afflicted the tribes of Pyyrhia in way no other disaster has. Every of them raked to their core fighting for the SandWings and their royal squabbles.
.
The MudWings are nearly extinct. The IceWings sealed themselves behind their borders. The SeaWings have all turned to high-seas crime and piracy. The NightWings are only alive because they've enslaved most of the RainWings. (I hear their labor is used for making that awful thick and oily armor they wear) The SandWings themselves are all starving. I wonder what guilt they feel for the war they started? Any at all? The princesses better be sorry at least. I'm happy one is already dead.
.
The SkyWings survive. Not that we dont have our own problems though. The Queen has gone absolutely mad with gladiatorial gluttony. Drunk on violence. Her generals, Sparrow, Vermillion, Bloodstone, and Peregrine have taken over in her mental absence, it seems. The rest of us train. We protect our border and fight with vicious vigor. Iron sharpens iron. Flame adds to flame. We spar to keep us in practice in the event we are attacked from a force on the outside, or within. We'll be ready nontheless. The SkyWings will not fall to this war. Not to anyone. Not even to ourselves."
-end of report-

In 4992 AS, the murder of queen Oasis threw Pyrrhia into chaos, from her daughters, Burn, Blister and Blaze, only one should be queen...
Blister escaped east, to Scarlet Empire, where she forged a grand alliance against her sister, of SkyWings and SeaWings. The MudWings stalled the negotiations as long as they could, afraid the defeat of Burn would have them completely surrounded by hostile neighbors. While Blaze fled north, to the IceWings.
In 4993 AS, confident of her army's superiority, Scarlet didn't want to wait for SeaWings to prepare (neither she wanted seawings moving across her borders), so she launched a large offensive against the Savannah Palace, the capital of the sandwings for nearly 4000 years, a formidable fortress that has resisted the test of time, but should it falter now?
"What would my mom do if she was here? Oasis would have fought to the bitter end. The sandwings will NEVER be slaves, never. She would fight, and so will I." - Burn, 4993 AS, as the SkyWings approach her capital.
To Burn's luck, a large sandstorm was forming in the north and intercepted scouts showed Scarlet's high command was too blinded for a short victory that they completely ignored the warnings, believing the battle would be won before it even arrived.
"I am going to vanish that city from this continent. Kill and slave every single sandwing and in its oases, I am going to build a large vacations' palace for me and my subordinates!" Scarlet, at the brink of her offensive.
In the fateful day, Scarlet's armored core units clashed against the SandWings in the outskirts of the fortress. Kestrel, believing this was just a small force ordered her forces and siege bombers to bypass the chaos to go directly into the fortress, not knowing that this was all the army of Burn, who would promptly defeat the SkyWings at heavy casualties but would manage to turn back and hit the SkyWings in the back.
The Skywings desperated for a quick victory were embroiled into a battle of attrition that lasted for days of attacks and counter-attacks, leading to the sandstorm arriving and completely desorganizing the SkyWing army.
"Scarlet would off my head for the failure at the destruction of the SandWing fortress. Thankfully, I managed to convince her to off the heads of my officers, they were too incompetent to face the sandwings from behind." - Kestrel, 4994 AS.
Burn's forces would defeat the SkyWings at their capital, but would be unable to fully push the SkyWings from the surrounding lands to their palace. Burn, knowing she did not had the resources nor manpower to face the SkyWings, decided to undergo a long-term campaign of disruption of the SkyWings supplies, lines and messengers, which would prove successful in ever delaying them from a new offensive for years.
In 5003 AS, in a vital meeting between Blister and Moorhen was ongoing, Blister, frustrated by Scarlet's army lack of progress for years managed to bring the mudwings into the alliance, though, a group of separatists would murder the seawing commander Tempest, causing the collapse of Blister's grand alliance and the entrance of the MudWings on Burn's side.
Upon hearing the news, Scarlet promptly ordered her east forces to invade the MudWings, who were took by surprise at the SkyWings' fast mobilization and attacks.
Now, the destiny of this war seems more unknown than ever before...
------------------------------------------------------------------
Cities:
- SandWings:
Savannah Palace:
The capital of the SandWings, once founded by queen Savannah four thousand years ago, has been the seat of any sandwing government through the ages, with the exception of Scorpion's city (now abandoned into the Scorpion den). The palace until the times of Oasis was a noble structure who resisted the tests of time, but soon after her murder, her daughter Burn took over and begun the tranformation of the palace into a mighty fortress in front of the SkyWing advance.
- SkyWings:
Carmine Palace:
The palace of Carmine, named after the eternal SkyWing empress is a mighty structure upon the mountainous landscapes of the Diamond Coast. Inhabited by Scarlet, the ~243th reincarnation of Carmine, its the largest and most populous capital of Pyrrhia. From it, Scarlet and her subordinates enjoy their lives as the lesser skywings live on the lower parts of the mountain into poverty and mysery.
Melting Iron and Blazing Steel:
The Skywings were always known for their proefficiency with forging and smithing steel for their armors and weapons. Such skills were noted by the current Empress Scarlet who ordered the founding of Melting Iron and Blazing Steel, two forgery cities, inhabited forcibly by hundreds of skywings who now fuel Scarlet's ambition from the mines to the melting iron to the armors.
Her goals were clear, the create an armored army to crush her neighbors, especially the MudWings. Only one dragon had dared to stand against her in those times, Burn.
Spring Fields and Carmine Fields:
A notable skywing commander once said "An army flies on its stomach". Since then, supplies and especially food were great assets for the war effort of the SkyWings, known for their speed and mobility on battlefields.
With this in mind, Scarlet had founded large estates to plant crops and raise livestock, populated also by large groups of slaves captured from her enemies, especially MudWings. The two largests are the Spring and Carmine Fields, vast lands previously virgin are now being used to feed her armies in the war.
Her slave populations however, receive the bare minimum per month and live mostly without even a roof to call lair.
- MudWings:
Crane Palace:
The MudWing palace is a formidable structure, raising from the flat lands of the swamps of the region, home of queen Moorhen. For so long, many mudwings would never call it their capital, as the queendom was largely fragmented into warlords who dealt their own businesses. However, the War of SandWing Succession saw a quick change to this.
Facing overwhelming enemies from two sides, the MudWings have left their past grievances for survival. Queen Moorhen, a long neutral and pacifist figure is now within the greatest war the world has ever seen in hundreds of years. With no signs of slowing down, she is ready to face the evils against her people and to end Scarlet.
Marsh of Wonders:
"A SkyWing blasphemy, of course..." Said the MudWing officer who actually quoted the "An army flies on its stomach"
Agriculture and livestock have been long part of the sedentary MudWing communities and their largest estate is the Marsh of Wonders. Once conquered from the First Sea Empire, thousands of years ago, the MudWings have grow one of the most productive farmlands of the continent, capable of sustaining their population in those difficult times.
Crocodile's Shield:
Much similar to their rival SkyWings, the MudWings had begun early experiments with the smithing of weapons and armor for their forces, though at much lesser scale. Under the orders of their high commander, Crocodile, the town of Crocodile's Shield was founded in order to mass produce equipment for their war effort.
- SeaWings:
Island Palace:
Once home of the greatest royal tragedy ages ago, the Island Palace now is one of the main commander centers for the numerous SeaWing kingdoms who gathered together under the leadership of Orca to face their enemies in the continent.
Deep Palace:
The actual capital of the SeaWings in the sea floor, is home of Orca, the mad empress of the SeaWings, once discovered as an animus and murdering her mother Coral, Orca has led an insane regime and personality cult, including the creation of an army of statues as her bodyguards, for she trusted no seawing at her side.
Now also home of her daughter, Tsunami, a prize, an avatar of her will that she plans to unleash upon the world above water.
Obsidian Forge:
The SeaWings from the times of the First Sea Empire were once of the first tribes to actually work with metals, though very low quality from the deep sea, the Obsidian Forge is one of the longest standing structures of the world, home of the production of weapons and armor for the SeaWings, who lack a breath they can use out of water as their electric shocks only work their strongest while below water.

Feudalism of Fire Queendoms
At the year of 5011 AS, the situation of Pyrrhia is the following:
Scarletian Empire:
Capital: Carmine Palace
Queen: Scarlet
Since Scarlet’s brutal takeover from her mother, Her majesty, reincarnation of Carmine herself, forever shall lead the skywings, the immortal queen shall defend their ways in face of the savagery of the other civilizations.
Empress Scarlet reigns varies between benevolence and tyranny, festivities are constant, gladiator fights enjoyed by thousands every month, descending from the skies to the earth, let her control your soul.
Second Sea Empire:
Capital: Deep Palace
Queen: Orca
Ambition corrupts... And created from the ambition of a single dragon, the second sea empire, built from the ashes of the sea queendom with the fall of Coral, Orca leads now one of the most tyrannical and monstrous rules, the animus queen is liked by nobody, but approached by even less.
Her daughter, Tsunami, has escaped captivity, and now the future of the empire lays into uncertainty. Without heir, nor trusting anybody, Orca’s paranoia increases, may the gods be angry at her?
Oases Queendom:
Capital: Savannah Palace
Queen: Burn (de facto); Blister; Blaze
Upon the death of Oasis, Burn became the de facto queen of the sandwings. Her rule is chaotic, mass mobilizations trigger famines, hundreds die in battle, but everyone knows at its at stake, for the skywing hordes are never far from their homes, their duties are sacred, the eye of Onyx watches upon them.
Many however, do not seek the rule of Burn, outlaws flee her lands to whatever den they can fit in their businesses, Burn’s armies are now on the offensive.
Diamond Empire:
Capital: Diamond Palace
Queen: Glacier
Glacier for so long ruled over the frozen lands of the tundra, but the war has become costly, once on the defensive, Burn’s forces are now more competent and organized than ever, they are besieging Blaze’s fortress, the first circle commanders demand immediate retaliation, even though Glacier knows the cost of lives would not bring them victory.
Some within the second circle though, are less than pleased, and an ambitious and reckless princess Icicle may rally them around her.
Mud Queendom:
Capital: Mud Palace
Queen: Moorhen
Queen Moorhen once led an unstable coalition of mudwing warlords and clans, that may have caused the very downfall of blister’s coalition, but Moorhen has managed to overcome doubts by allying with Burn, the mudwings will never be slaves again, they all will die before slavery.
More united than ever, Moorhen now rules one of the most stable nations of Pyrrhia, a nation torn by war, but united by fire.
United Rainforest Queendoms:
Capital: Canopy Pavilion
Queen: Grandeur
Once a conqueror like Anaconda herself, Grandeur now becomes one of the oldest queens of Pyrrhia and the rainforest, for 3 generations, she rules over the united queendoms, the agreement upon the conquered tribes to remain united under one authority, but remaining in control of their own state affairs.
Princess Glory however, the main one in the line of succession after her mother tragically died of illness, highly condemns this decentralized approach, and pushes towards centralization and the entrance of the rainwings into the war.
Night Queendom:
Capital: Nightsky Palace
Queen: Battlewinner
The great night queendom, once upon a time great traders and inventors, has fallen stagnant in the past centuries, queens without meaning to their names have eroded their pride, Battlewinner was simply the latest of the discontented.
With her daughter Valiant, and her granddaughter Greatness increasingly uniterested in their future role of queens, growing ever more soft upon state affairs, Battlewinner fears that if their society doesn’t gear up towards the war, the victorious Burn’s armies will be at their gates.

Pyrrhian Tectonic Plates
Tumblr media
Hello people! So, passing by here to show just a little work here, how I imagine would be the tectonic plates and movements from Pyrrhia.
(I hope the movements make sense, I really do!)
Well, so, mainly here, the Claws of the Clouds Mountain Range is formed by the collision of the two major tectonic plates that form Pyrrhia, which I did not named :|
Something that Wof really lacks is environmental disasters... Literally, it just happens a volcan eruption twice in the same place, and its implied that the Bay of Thousand Scales suffers hurricanes, while in Pantala, the same.
A world is more dynamic that than... Perhaps this could be my next topic, where all Pyrrhia’s destruction elements can be located! (Or not!)
To be honest, I did that because it would be interesting to imagine Pyrrhia of idk how millions of years ago, how those parts separated from each other would look like and their ecosystems and... pre-dragon life forms there? Hmm...
I still wonder if I am going to mess with the dragons biology or not...

Hello people! So, here I am with another draw for my reworked stuff, this time, finally finishing the basic maps for Wings of Fire, here is a redraw of Pantala.
Pantala is probably worse than Pyrrhia... Its a flat continent, except for the mountains in its wing, and a implication of hills through it. Its pretty boring, but the dragon form is just AMAZING and gives really good feeling on working on it!
So well, basically my changes are, I added few more mountain ranges to explain the rivers, who basically cut off Pantala in two (almost). The central region was before a rainforest (which explains the flat terrain) and now, are a savannah at best.
Desertification is a serious problem the HiveWings are suffering from their deals with the LeafWings during the Tree Wars.
The flat terrain, mixed with several swamps, make most of central Pyrrhia a region with extremely likely possibilities of flooding during severe storms, flash floods and hurricanes.

seawing base from k9pestilence bases (with royal patterns) (from deviantart) lore the egg was splashed with the colours of deep green and deep blue was carried by a large blue dragon, flying through the storm muttering to themselves, silently setting a set of enchantments and spells on the dragonets inside the large egg, the egg carrying twins. Hook grumbled as the distant island began to become visible, the island hidden to the eyes of other dragons, expect for him and specific set of dragons. He carefully landed on the cold sand as the eyes of other dragons on the isle landed on him, "took you long enough, seawing" a tall fancyish nightwing spoke, it was Clear'vision, the leader of the Wings for the future organization. "The storm is hard to fly in as you didnt give exact location where to come" Hook replied, putting down the egg in the basket holding all five eggs from different tribes. "if what you spoke of the prophecy is true, how will this help?" Hook asked as a short pinkish icewing grabbed the basket and began to carry it into a forest clearing. "they will work within the shadows, spying and working to trick the royals to follow a path that will give us an upperhand, did you possibly have to grab this twin egg?" the dragoness questioned back. "this one is the deepest blue you need as the other was stolen by that cowardly organization lead by traitors" Hook responded back, preparing to leave before the icewing stopped him. "this is a gift from the second commander, it will assist keep yourself a secret" the icewing explained, Hook grabbed the necklace and put it on without thinking. "i must return to my post before anyone questions my dissappearance" he spoke, rising into the air and diving into the sea, letting the currents lead him back. the characters Moss: an energetic seawing with deep green scales with the mix of yellow, she has animus and is very smart, but she is very short sighted and quick fitted. being blind doesnt assist at all even if her glasses allow her sight. She hid in the enchanted island when darkstalker situation was happening and soon after returned to her spying duty in the royal palace Flow: a grumpy protective brother with a missing leg. He dislikes battles but is very skilled in fighting styles of many times. He has animus magic as well as short powered hydrokinesis. He as well hid in the island when Darkstalker situation happened. he is very skilled in manipulation and deceit - - Hook: Father of Moss and Flow, a skilled animus that gave the egg protection enchantments and gave them the gift of animus magic, well to the twin that didnt have it Clear'vision: One of the ruling talons of the 'Wings of the future' organization, she is the known one and prefers to keep her partner secret. Her powers include future'sight, mind reading, telepathy and the ability to share her visions (i keep getting her name wrong whats wrong with me?) icewing: pink nameless icewing, under the iron rule of Clear'vision and unknown powers.
