I must be missing something, because I don't remember Kestrel crying in WoF book 1, but EVERYBODY who animates Kestrel draws her crying before saying goodbye to Peril.

Could someone help clear this up for me?

i'm legitimately not sure why glory's the one who disfigures scarlet and not peril. like until then things seem to be leading up to peril making some grand gesture of independence but then glory just steals the show. i think it might be because it would be weird to have what happened to fjord not be resolved in the same book? and they just had to get the venom in there somehow

I’ve decided to give that wof a-z character challenge thing a whirl! But Im starting at z to give some attention to the ones on the bottom of the list lol

These were fun to do so i’m going to ramble under the cut

Zelkova

My fav! I just love how her colors turned out, and her leaves and horns. I didn’t mean for her crown to be crooked, I just forgot I wanted to add it until after I got her leaves how I wanted lol.

Decided to give her a second set of horns. It just seemed empty there but I didn’t want the first bigger so made another.

My only complaint with her would be the transition from scale to leaf is weird. It didn’t look as weird in the sketch and then I wasn’t sure how to fix.

I quite like how sharp and simple she turned out. Did mess up with the designs on her neck. There was supposed to be more black but I did the line-art wrong lol

Xenica

Originally I was going to have her be pale/white for various reasons but decided to base her palette on the butterfly that’s her namesake. Which I am glad I went with, it’s nice!

And I feel I really nailed her head shape and scale pattern. Though I don’t plan for these all to be perfectly in line with the canon drawings, she really is in line with that and I like it.

#ngl i think the reason why mudwings are so little focused on is that all of the other tribes are a lot more human-like #but most of (actually probably all of) we know about mudwings come from book 1 where tui was still probably trying to figure out the dragon #wof #wings of fire

God I really wish I could be hyperfixated on things that are better like Kirby or Pokemon or even Sonic again, it's been a bit and I miss that guy. But instead my brain is slamming the Warriors button like its 2013 again

Oh yeah I don’t think i posted this on tumblr, here’s my attempt at a simple turtle design!

#funny story so because i tried to cut back on patterns i made him big and round because 1 it’s just how i see seawings #2 he literally made a bowl to double all the food he got #3 they mention how he is chubby in the books #4 makes him stand out and look more like a turtle i think #and people on the wof subreddit genuinely got annoyed at this?? It was funny #most people were chill and made jokes about it but the few people who got upset was really strange #one of then said something how they view all the dragons as skinny and majestic or something #so ok that vaild but maybe loosen up and let others draw how they see the dragons?? #i like not all characters looking the exact same thanks #turtle wof #wings of fire #wings of fire art #turtle wings of fire #sorry for the rant lol- #Bee’s art
