Luken is the latest in a long line of Storm Knights, but she will forever be remembered by history as the one who ended the war with the Kaer, taking control of the planet for her people. But the more her people spread across the planet’s surface, the more certain she is that she’s made a mistake.
Mara was once a Kaern archaeologist, but what use is a digger for history to a people consigned to a life lived on spaceships? When she receives an invitation from the leader of the people who had taken her home, she is certain it must be a trap. While her people urge her to accept to look for a weakness to exploit, Mara knows she accepts for no reason other than that nothing in the world could truly ever keep her from the ruins that haunt her dreams.
But somewhere within those ruins lie an answer that neither girl is truly ready to accept.

okay i litchrally have never compiled a list even tho ive been asked before bc i have read too many to keep them organized. but ill do it. Finally. for YOU.
first. my fav period setting fics <33:
tete a tete by caciopepebowl (14k~) this is REQUIRED reading to ME. its a quick read that explores kate and anthonys roles in their family. with an emphasis on KATE specifically bc of the additional hurdles of being a woman with limited funds. and anthony losing his mind on her behalf while shes breaking his heart by being like "the way i was treated was normal?? you dont know anything" and hes like "what? kate you deserved everything. you deserve ALL the love in the world!!" and shes all ">:( well if i do. you do too." . and hes like "oh. well...no. you see.. bc i suck" and shes like -_-. its really sweeeeeet and lovely <3) and really finally gave me the exploring of kates family issues that THE SHOW DID NOT!!!
the longest betrothal by caciopepebowl. (90k~) my FAVVVVV regency setting fic. its sooo good. its basically a continuation that fills in the gap AFTER they get engaged but BEFORE theyre married. and them trying SO hard to be normal about how in love they are lol. SO funny and sweet. and with IMMACULATE characterization
in vino veritas by wagamiller. (~10k) a one shot about kate going to a ladies society event and coming home drunk to anthony and him being soooo smitten with her. sauuuur cute. ive read this like 4 times <3
for reasons wretched and divine by penny_loaf. (~18k. locked fic. need an account.) basically kate and anthony get stuck in a time loop on that first day edwina is receiving suiters. they both think theyre alone in the loop and its depressing until they realize the other is stuck with them too. they try to break the loop and fail repeatedly. after a while they just give up and start fucking bc theres no consequences so who cares LOL. surprisingly tender and sweet
the harsh light of day by burnerraccount. (~22k. locked) explicit one shot. kate has the idea that they should fuck before they get married so theres less pressure on the wedding night. she decides all this without mentioning it to anthony (LOL). so she shows up at his house the night before their wedding. and his footman is like "theres a woman outside to see you" and he in all his goofy almost-married bliss is like "i dont want to see Any woman but my gorgeous, beautiful, amazing WIFE" and his footman is like "well. you see.. it is your wife. uh fiance" and anthonys like "[voice crack] huh ?". very FUNNY

la semi dolce vita by caciopepebowl (~170k) my FAVVVV modern au of ALL time. kate is a private chef. anthonys family hires her when they go on vacation. hes being so normal about it. i promise. this is one of the best characterizations of kate AND anthony in a modern setting. with an extra emphasis on focusing on kate issues. and not JUST anthonys. which is what makes the dynamic sooo good. 10/10. hot. and i love LOVE <3
close encounters of the acutest kind by caciopepebowl (WIP ~74k. only incomplete fic ill put on this list i PROMMY. bc its by the prev author. and i Looove their writing and its sooo good so far <3) kate and anthony meet for the first time the DAY her dad died which is also the SAME DAY hyacinth is born. theyre both having a panic attack and end up running into the same empty hospital room to have it. are then intrinsically linked forever. as one is. run into each other multiple times over the years. with different feelings each time. and they are so normal (lying) <3. i love them
chosen & cherished by trash4ficsaboutlurv. (~42k) this is so underrated. kate runs a charity organization. anthony is CEO of whatever the fuck. she goes to his company when theyre holding some audition for what charity theyre going to invest in and kate is the last speaker and when its finally her turn he doesnt even pay attention. and shes exhausted and overworked and just oveeeer it All. so she just ends the meeting and tells him to go fuck himself. LOL. genuinely really good. and hot <3
sidelines by ramarro. (~60k) this was THE quintessential kanthony modern AU in 2022. took a far fetched premise and somehow made it soooo good. and hot. and cute. kates an artist who sees a picture of anthony on tinder and thinks he looks obnoxious (lol) but screenshots the photo so she can use it for sketching practice. and then she see him and his grown ass on a date with her BABY sister. and shes like well i was right about him. and lets him know to his face how she feels (LOL). its wild. it slays. read it. theres an explicit follow up to it which also slays
three cities and we never lived here by ramarro. (~25k, ~40k) very different modern au where kate and anthony meet on vacation and are very casual with them both not looking for anything (genuinely for once lol) and then seeing each other multiple times over 2-3 years in different cities and still keeping it casual. but slowly slowly slowlyyyy it doesnt feel as casual as it used to. theres 2 fics in this. the first is kates pov. the second is anthony. both very good.
just go with it by suitsusboth. (~18k) kate when booking a flight sees the potential titles like ms, mrs, dr, and "viscountess" listed as a legit option and has a laugh like whos picking this goofy shit and accidentally clicks it. and then on her flight gets upgraded to first class next to anthony bc they assumed she was his wife. and he tries to be mad about it. but well. hes stupid for her in every universe so lol. funny and sweet
the air i breathe and the bane of my existance by the_loosest_moose. (image fic) these are textfics told through instagram, twitter, article and text message screenshots. with some regular text. would just check them out to gauge how you feel about the storytelling method. very fun reads once you get the hang of it
heirlooms by waterlilyrose. (~12k) modern au where kate gets anthonys ring stuck on her finger for days and has to wait to get it off. he is of course very normal about it
a devils love by irony_rocks. (~57k) this may not be for everyone but kanthony season came out around the same time as the batman (2022) and as someone who was crazy insane about both. this was the MOMENT for me in spring 2022. its a crime mafia type au where kates character is inspired by selina kyle and the pebble lounge where she worked in the batman movie. and well. if youre about that specific combo check it out. if you arent i wouldnt recommend this lmao. its not a batman au
break point (series) by penny_loaf. (multiple. ~25k) like prev this entire series gets kind of dark bc it really delves into the pressure of the world its set in. on TOP of the issues kate and anthony already have. i LOVED it. BUT also i am an ANGST and crazy, complicated characters STAN. which may not be the case for everyone.. but again very GORGEOUS to ME <3 and hot. LOL
take me home by kendal_lynne. (~12k) romcom type explicit one shot where kate makes the mistake of telling anthony her ex couldnt make her come. and hes all like i volunteer as tribute PLEASE PKLEASE PLEASE PICK ME CHOOSE ME PLWASEE etc

Of course! Always and quickly. I love comments, they make my day and fill me with happiness for hours. Not kidding!

None of my fics end angsty. Some of my ficlets might, possibly Time

They all end happily.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
There had been a few very weird comments on "Mutual Attraction" that were rude or offensive. Some had been deleted by the cowards who posted them later.
9. Do you write smut?
Yes, I have written porn and enjoyed it. I also write gen and everything in between. Depends on the story.
10. Do you write crossovers?
No, because I define "crossover" as a mix of two existing universes, like Sherlock x Star Trek for example. I have written several AUs though. Alternate Universes with the same characters of my show but placed somewhere else.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have been offered three times but declined because I personally am not comfortable with it.

I have this fairy tale AU sitting in my drafts for literal years. 20k written and several attempts to take it up again, it is mostly plotted but just resists being finished. *sigh*
16. What are your writing strengths?
Learning by doing, I guess? I think of myself that I am versatile. Maybe writing movie-like action scenes. I remember that's been said in comments.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I honestly do not know. (Which is not me saying I can do everything perfectly!! I just try whatever I want.) Finishing the above mentioned fic possibly.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If it fits the story, why not? I write in English which is not my native language, so I could do German and some French and Italian, too.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Sherlock BBC.
I've actually never written anything before I started with Sherlock fanfic. I got this idea and it grew and I began to write it down just for me so that I would not forget it. Then I thought, why not write it into a fic? I've been reading a lot fanfic already. Over the course of two years (writing on and off) the idea had turned into a 94k fic. I only started posting "Mutual Attraction" when it was completed on AO3.
I still think it's funny because just imagine this. Never wrote a word of fiction before, not even in my native language. Then, first thing I produced is a novel-length fic written directly in English. Still seems surreal to me.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
I love all of my babies and will not choose a fave one. There are only faves in categories.
"Mutual Attraction" was my first and longest fic.
"Wretched and Divine" was the one that made me find my dear friend and beta @peageetibbs
Technically, I am most proud of pulling off "Learn My Scars" because it is 38k written under a huge amount of pressure due to daily posting for Whumptober 2022. Five weeks of intense writing madness but very rewarding, too.
AU and plot-twist wise it would be "The 13th Book ".

Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chaptered fics?
Truly, nothing scares and overall upsets me more than having to write multi-chaptered fics. I finally managed to break my curse of never having finished one earlier this year and I am gritting my teeth and chanting that I can and will finish the ones hovering in my WIPs as well. One shots is where my heart is at, even when I link them together in long collection.
11. Link your three favorite fics right now
Oh boy, I am not good at picking favorites, especially such limited number. But okay. *cracks knuckles* You're definitely getting more than just three, though.
sometimes it's heaven sent (we kiss, make up on the way) - a Mashwood Pushing Daisies AU by @dingusttmax that has been living in my corner of my heart and my mind. Painful, sweet and hot all at once. Absolute perfection. His through the deep dark forest long aka Mashwood Princess Mononoke AU is also just. SO GOOD. Fuckin' fantastic. Emotional, creative, stunningly described.
blended in measure the Mashwood series by @tardisready is just superb, fantastic, devastating, cleverly plotted and told, stunningly hot. Can't give it enough praise, truly. Also, ace Vash rep!
maybe my heart needs to break to be sure a Mashwood piece that comes with several warnings that absolutely should be heeded, but whew. The emotions, the love in this are absolutely fantastic, devastating and will stay with me for a long time. Forever, I suspect.
Mycorrhizae a Mashwood piece that left me just! Mouth ajar in the best way possible. Leaning into cryptid/inhuman Vash all the way in, absolutely fascinating and left me in awe and sick with writer and brain envy.
get your hopes up a Stryfewood focus Mashwood piece but Vash is very much present. Hot, emotional and just all around winner for me.
"Always" is in the eye of the beholder a VashMeryl piece and insight in Vash's immortality and the lifespan of love versus loved one.
Sister of Bandits by @ladymaliwan a VashMeryl piece about Meryl finding Ericks and Meryl is so delightfully badass in this, just everything about this is so good. I love the expansion of Meryl's arc that feels so natural that the author is making.
Bluebells by @needle-noggins is a VashMeryl fic in progress that has me captivated and not just because I've had the privilege of few sneak peaks of what's to come. Dealing with Meryl's very reasonable trauma after well... Everything. And navigating a life in the after. Which is a theme that I absolutely love to see explored.
for reasons wretched and divine a VashWood smut piece that comes with suicidal ideation warning. Trans Wolfwood and stone top Vash. The way this Wolfwood is written, it won't leave me alone. If I could do him this beautifully fucked up just once, I'd be happy.
Research Findings a Vashwood piece by @bienchanter short, funny as all hell, sweet. What's not to love. Like Smoke Through your Fingers by them as well - amnesiac Vash with synesthesia, which I think is such a winning combination. And it's not because I am biased, it's really a great zombie apocalypse Mashwood AU: what's it really for (if it's not yours and it's not mine)
There are several more I want to link, but I can't find them quick in my history, goddamit. I've been lax about bookmarking things lately. T_T
39. Share a snippet from a WIP
From what I have lovingly deemed Demi fic - a VashMeryl post Trimax piece.
“I thought you had died.”
I almost did. Everyone else has.
But it’s not true - she is here, hugging him so tight it almost hurts. So he does not say that, does not say anything at all, just holds her in return. Her shoulders tremble softly, because there's few things he's as good at as making her cry, it seems.
Vash doesn't count minutes holding her (comforting her, comforting himself), lets the few stray stares drip off of him, them, until Meryl is ready to pull away a little and look him in the face properly. There is an instant urge to turn his head away, duck out of her gaze, as if she could read all his recent failures in his features.
He doesn't, because he didn't come here to run away again. At least not the moment they've met. (He is tired of running. He is more scared of staying.)

Okay. I just have to know what "legknives & the wall" is.
Ahhhh absolutely, it's something I've been picking at on and off for the past month OwO It's based somewhat on reading this post and having it roll around in my head for awhile and then somehow, it turned into angsty fanfic- as one does.
There’s an impenetrable wall between them, reaching high, high above the surface of their wretched planet and into the heavens, cutting through the stars and the debris and perhaps every other planet out there: an insurmountable force that is more than anything else in existence.
And it’s so much less.
How little would things have to change to shift even just one brick in the foundation? How little would it have to shift for it to come tumbling down, burying them and every worthless creature sharing this barren rock? How much would it take? How little would it take?
How little would they have to change and how much would they lose the core of who they are as people, as beings, as anything?
Legato cannot imagine an existence where Millions Knives is not his entire existence. Legato Bluesummers exists because of Knives’s divine mercy and would be nothing without Knives; Legato Bluesummers is his devotion and every complication that entails. He will follow Knives until the end of time if he demands it and he will worship whatever Knives is and whatever he does.
But—
But he cannot imagine a life that is not this. He cannot imagine a life where Knives’s kindness extends any further than it already does because he cannot imagine a life where he is anything but an inferior creature in comparison. Knives allows him to follow at his heels and Legato cannot see over the impossibly vast wall that looms before him.
Knives can do everything and anything and he forces himself to build ever-higher walls around his heart, bricking himself off from pain and betrayal and joy in equal parts. His fear begets loneliness as much as he craves the company of another; his loneliness begets a spiral of hatred that draws in the company he craves.
The idea of trust is crushed and ground apart until its absence is what holds the wall together; its absence is the support system in a failing ship; its absence is permanent and prevalent. And one day, its absence is missed and neither of them realize it is because of how delicate the threads that hold it together are, the burning light of twin suns glinting off the only remains that persist.
This is still a pretty rough draft of it, since there's uhhhh a lot more happening in the WIP and I wanna format it to actually make a wall out of text some???how?????? I think??????????? I had to put it aside for a bit, but I wanna come back to it OwO

YES!!!! everybody clapping for her wretched deeds. i was distracted for a while by other thoughts but i put on my (very wip) arc 4 playlist and was like "wait this is Strong" so im back to trying to figure her deal out. we love sól here shes very normal
oh yea her names sól idk if i said it out loud. she has extreme beef with power girl. the details aren't 100% clear to me yet but i do know she's a villain as a direct consequence of PG starting out her CTDE arc as somewhat of a supervillain herself. kind of a Creating Your Own Cool New Worst Enemy situation in there <3
not the consequences of arc 1... we hate those... coming back like a boomerang to hit pg in the back of the head HDHBJDMJK MY FAVORITE KIND!!!

hellooo i read your diluc fanfic in ao3 and do you plan on writing something similar? it's truly one of my favorite works ever
depends which one!
I am indeed actively working on both a prequel and a sequel to "for reasons wretched and divine" (AKA vampire diluc). There's a couple drabbles/teasers floating around about those two on my page if you look into my vampire diluc tag.
I'm also working on a werewolf diluc fic with similar vibes/premise, but it's much less angsty and more rivals-to-lovers bickering and romance.
I am almost done with a rewrite of "see you through 'til the day's end," all I need is to go back and edit and fix some inconsistencies.
Although I started out writing general genshin fics, I definitely intend for the majority of my future works to be about diluc because I adore his character so much. I've also been playing with the idea of writing fics for kaeya, wriothesley, Childe, and thoma, but those are all early WIPs.

look im writing weird spore sex im sorry to those here for mosslark i'll get back to them being sweet and tender soon but im currently rotating the worst men alive in my brain.
gortash / my fungus creature Cortinarius, i think this counts as monsterfucking.
Breaching any part of Cortinarius was not an activity for fools with weak constitutions. More than once he had witnessed lesser men turn pallid and limp-knees upon sinking into the gift that was that divine cunt.
For him, it was like coming home.
Certainly, he did not touch them as he did creatures of flesh and blood. Cortinarius required skilled fingers that recognised the intricacies of his internal surfaces, the sensory canvas that was his throat, his ass.
He had not deigned to remove the gauntlets, and he recognised the other man more than ever in the stirring of his hair at the sight.
He plucks at the tightly packed, soft ridges and whiskered strands that make up the walls of Corti’s cunt. No lubricant, not yet. He has missed this too much, the silken dust being coaxed free to coat his fingerprints and set them to lightly stinging.
He pushes the tip of one claw into the wall, separating out a single strand, catching it between forefinger and thumb and sliding the latter along it as if it is fine embroidery thread.
Cortinarius moans.
It is a thrill he has missed so much that it sets his knees to aching.
“Impatient thing. Have you grown so undisciplined in our time apart?” For all his efforts to be severe, wretched tenderness leaks from his throat, his fingers as he strokes that single tendril.
Corti grows still, inside and out.
“Was I…more controlled, once?”
Ah. Of course. He supposes he ought to have taken that into account. Their banter had been disrupted by Orin’s little game.
“From time to time, as required. In this case, my dear, I jest. You were ever the mewling whore beneath my hands.”
“Oh.” His hair flares up, and the interior rippling resumes, albeit at a slightly less vigorous pace.
It would take some getting used too. In many ways, this was like meeting him anew once more, when his Bhaalspawn had been less refined, wilder and uncanny.
He had wanted him then and he wanted him now.
Besides.
Nothing worth doing was ever done easily.
He can’t abide the fractured, haunted look in those silver eyes, and so he returns to his duty. He releases the single thread and pushes deeper into the channel, completely engulfing his hand.
Such a thing would tear at feeble flesh, set the creature in his arms to bleating, but he feels the resistance that indicates that Cortinarius welcomes his intrusion, that his rippling walls are exploring the textural marvel he offers them. It had been a consideration while designing the gauntlets, one he was profoundly pleased to see come to fruition.
Corti shudders and twitches beneath him as he pushes still deeper, taking the sharp contours of the Netherstone with aplomb until he is buried near the middle of his forearm. He could go deeper still, he knows it well. Could force the other man to adjust his innards around his demand.
Not this day, however. It will be most satisfying to dangle these hints of possibility before him, see what hanging strings of memory he might fix once more to their housing.
He spreads his fingers as wide as he can without causing himself unfruitful injury, and curls each finger down in turn in a vicious ripple.
He feels threads snip under the attack of his claws, but Cortinarius clamps down around him in a way that makes him smug and pleased with his choice to extend the gauntlet design up to the shoulder. His exposed fingers may eventually begin to sting as their billion teeth flay individual flecks of his body away, but he finds that a pleasant enough sensation.

Happy WBW! Which detail in one of your worlds are you the most proud of?
so one of my fav things to see in fiction is abilities that aren't always useful for their users. In Wretched and Divine, the An'Korra have superpowers, but they're actually a detriment to the people. The powers hurt the user, and the An'Korra have a drastically shortened lifespan because of the toll the abilities take on their bodies. Luken, the current leader of the An'Korra, is 21, and considered middle-aged for her people. She has the ability to control lightning, but she feels like she's burning herself from the inside out every time she does. She can also "see" the world through the electrical energies things gives off, but she's unable to process normal lightwaves with her eyes. Using her energy sight for too long also causes intense migraines, so she navigates the world with the help of a specialized AI built to assist the Storm Knight.

#1 is a Lucifer TV fic from five years ago that i put very little effort into but it's the main ship for a show that was very popular at the time so it haunts me.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
i respond to comments from whatever my current fandom is, and sometimes the fandom before it. and then trigun kind of took off and i kind of took off within trigun fandom and then i posted a fic every day for a month so now i have a backlog of. 68 comments. whoops. i'll get to it!
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
excluding things where i play around with canonical angst, hmm. very few people actually read my cowboy bebop fics, and statistics show i am the only person who liked the doomed live action show, but we never had a choice but to give up is a very fun & rather dark au of a specific moment from the live action show.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
i'm a fan of happy endings in general, recently it's and i would give all this and heaven too which is essentially a Fix It With Vampires fic.
Do you get hate on fics?
not so much anymore, but it has happened. honestly when trigun took off i expected more bullshit from people.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i do, when i'm in the mood for it. usually feelingsy smut with trans characters, or some moderately weird kinky shit. usually both at the same time.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
not really a crossover fan, per say. i think too hard about the details.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
hopefully not!

yes!
Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
i wouldn't be the writer i am today without @irisbleufic mentoring me by way of several collabs in the good omens fandom years ago.
What's your all-time favourite ship?
that's a hard one. i'm going to go with the wildcard option and say elendira/razlo. they're everything to me.
What's a WIP you'd like to finish but doubt you ever will?
i'm not jinxing myself like that.
What are your writing strengths?
i'm very technically skilled, i know all the tools and tricks that make Good, Proficient Writing, and some part of that transcends what feels like rote skill-building to me into some kind of style.
What are your writing weaknesses?
plot. i'm not a plot guy, most of the time.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
as a monolingual schlub, neutral. i get why people do it, especially for multilingual authors, but it's a bit clunky/immersion-breaking to have to open google translate or click to a footnote. also Random Spanish (For Romance!) makes me cringe.
First fandom you wrote for?
...anne of green gables. i have no idea if the notebook i wrote it in still exists anywhere but i clearly remember writing something about anne and....... gilbert? i think is his name?
Favourite fic you've ever written?
i already mentioned for reasons wretched and divine, which is tied with nobody said it was easy. both projects made me a better writer, and i love both fics dearly.

I really do not do angst lmao I don't think any of them are even remotely angsty at the end tbh, I am too much of a sucker for a happy ending and making my blorbos happy

I have been working on a Supernatural-inspired hunters au fic for a while, but I haven't decided yet whether to make it a full crossover or not. Leaning towards no, maybe throwing in a reference and calling it a day.

I definitely latched on to steddie hard, I identify a lot with Eddie and the ship got me back onto tumblr and into the fandom, so I give it a lot of credit there.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
got caught both hands on the smoking gun which was my first foray into steddie/stranger things fic and honestly I did not plan it out and then life stuff happened and I just stalled 😭 I would love to get back to it at some point but I don't know if I will.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I... tend to not think I have any 😂 I like to think I write Eddie pretty well?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I struggle hard with dialogue honestly, I worry a lot about everybody sounding the same.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I think it's great but I personally cannot do it because my grasp on French is very rusty lmao

All time, Lord of the Rings, but those are lost to time on LiveJournal. On AO3, Teen Wolf.

Sherlock BBC
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Mutual Attraction , Learn My Scars, The toe that didn´t belong, The embers still glow when I´m sober , Gravity is missing from everything
The last three are in fact a series called Here I Am
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Of course! Always and quickly. I love comments, they make my day and fill me with happiness for hours. Not kidding!
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
None of my fics end angsty. Some of my ficlets might. Like "Time".
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
They all end happily.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
There had been a few very weird comments on "Mutual Attraction" that were rude or offensive. Some had been deleted by the cowards who posted them later.
9. Do you write smut?
Yes, male/male. I have written very porny porn. I also write gen and everything in between. Depends on the story.
10. Do you write crossovers?
No, because I define "crossover" as a mix of two existing universes, like Sherlock x Star Trek for example. I have written a lot of AUs though. Alternate Universes with the same charaters of my show but placed somewhere else.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have been offered three times but declined because I personally am not comfortable with it.

No.

I have this fairy tale AU sitting in my drafts for literal years. 20k written and several attempts to take it up again, it is plotted but just resists being finished.

Learning by doing, I guess? Maybe writing movie-like action scenes. That's been said in comments.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I honestly do not know. Finishing the above mentioned fic possibly.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If it fits the story, why not? I write in English which is not my native language, so I could do German and some French and Italian, too.

I love all of my babies and will not choose a fave one. There are only faves in categories.
"Mutual Attraction" was my first and longest fic (98k).
"Wretched and Divine" was the one that made me find my friend and beta @peageetibbs
Technically, I am most proud of pulling of "Learn My Scars" because it is 38k written under a huge amount of pressure due to daily posting for Whumptober 2022. Five weeks of intense writing madness but very rewarding, too.
AU and plot-twist wise it would be "The 13th Book".
Concerning hot smut, "The toe that didn't belong".
"Sherlock's secret laboratory journal" is pure crack.

big huge surprise to everyone i’m sure 😻 in all seriousness, this was the first fic i posted on this blog, and it means the world to me. this series is seventeen chapters of combining all my favorite interests at the time (skz + greek mythology + demons) caused by severe brainrot from the kingdom wolfgang performance. i woke up that july morning last year, watched the video, and then thought abt what would become this fic for literally the next seven months 😭 it was a very fun write and i’m very grateful for the feedback i’ve received on it!
2. by my side. [nsfw, 15k+]
my ongoing minho bodyguard au series! this one’s got a little bit of everything: enemies to lovers (AND childhood friends to lovers), mutual pining, two main characters that are too stubborn/dumb to admit they like each other, and an underlying mystery that connects both of them in more ways than one 😯
3. feels like we only go backwards. [nsfw, 8.5k]
i debated for quite a while about adding “if this feels personal, that’s because it is!” in the tags when i posted this, because that’s exactly what this was: (VERY LOOSELY) based on some things that had happened/were happening to me at the time with someone i had been interested in on and off for several years. this fic depicts that, as well as a few discussions about what happens when you continuously prioritize someone else’s feelings/comfort over yours in any relationship, especially a messy one. frat boy!changbin is also very important to me and i will continue to push this agenda whenever i get the chance 😌

this is the shortest piece on this list, but i’m still very proud of this one. i rlly like the overall softness in this (compared to the other fics on this list LOL)—it’s a coworkers au, and it’s about being able to take care of someone like minho who might not always look after himself the best and having a nice little 3am dinner + dance in the kitchen anyway <3
5. what lies beneath (teaser). [sfw]
okay i’m taking a page out of rain’s book by recommending a work that i technically haven’t finished yet LOL but working on this fic has really reminded me how much i enjoy writing fantasy-adjacent stories—i think it may actually be my favorite genre to write. this is my first fic for ateez, and it’s about accidentally discovering siren!hongjoong on a summer trip to the beach (and maybe falling in love with him?? 🤭🤭), but you know all along that your time with him has to be limited. (right? …….)
i also want to mention one of my other wips here bc y’all. i am so excited for seasons (waiting on you) to be posted—it has been a huge outlet (LMAO) for me recently and i’m really proud of how it’s come along. it’s my first time writing for txt, and i haven’t had this kind of inspo for a fic in a while—it’s been a fun exercise in working through all the emotions you go through during a long and unexpected breakup, and i’m so excited for you all to read it too.
