it's so funny to me that everybody acts like the joker is the most fucked up & Twisted™ villain ever when black hand like. exists.
nd i don't even mean fandom-wise, i mean in-universe. going back to batman/jl comics after reading nothing but green lantern for a while is WILD. you people are being so dramatic about a couple stabbings and a little explosion here and there. do you have any idea what hal is dealing with rn. that man fucked his dad. POST-MORTEM.

This is so funny to me because the implication of William writing in his little themed journal about how much he hates Hal and how to get revenge on Hal nightly is just a permanent image in my mind but also he can brainwash ppl but all he could come up with was trick ppl into gossiping and talking shit about Hal and it’ll work cause fuck that guy.

Green Lantern Villain Movie Ideas, Part XV: Black Hand
William Hand AKA Black Hand originated as a run of the mill villain who constructed a ring for himself to mimic Green Lantern powers. Later, he was retconned as a serial killer with a morbid fascination with death, who was killed and resurrected in order to become the first even Black Lantern, who uses the power of death instead of any specific emotion, raising the dead to serve him as an army of lantern-powered zombies. He is best known for his role in Blackest Night.
Origin Movie: If he was an origin villain, it would probably be that original incarnation, a criminal mastermind who constructs a ring to mirror Green Lantern powers.
Sequel Movie: If I included him as a sequel villain, it would probably be in an introductory role, presenting him as the serial killer working in a morgue with him steadily finding his way to being chosen as a Black Lantern.
Finale Movie: Clearly the way to go, especially if you want a Blackest Night storyline as a villain for all of the Corps to fight, with a number of fallen characters from past movies for him to raise.
Supporting Villain: I could easily see him as a supporting villain in an introductory role, a serial killer that one of the Lanterns takes out early, setting him up to become a Black Lantern in a later movie.
Here are my rankings of them:
Finale Movie: Obviously.
Sequel Movie: There is wisdom to establishing him early before making him a full Lantern.
Supporting Villain: Could he fill a full movie pre-Lantern though?
Origin Movie: Why?
What do you think? Who should I cover next?
