I want to see the kids being happy and laughing and having fun together in the finale, I want to see them go to Joyce and Hopper's after wedding party and I want to see them actually dance around... I want to see Robin and Vickie dancing together in an obviously romantic way because there no one gives a fuck and Lucas and Max talking and smiling at each other in a corner because Max is in her wheelchair and I want to see Dustin having fun dancing in crazy ways with Steve and El and Erica... and Mike and Will sitting at a table together holding hands and just smiling looking at the room, Jonathan taking pictures of everybody and then stopping on Nancy to take her picture, Karen, Holly and Nancy dancing together and Argyle asking Ted Wheeler if he wants a hit of purple palm tree delight and Ted Wheeler actually taking it ajshakab I NEED to see them all happy 🥲

okay but Will’s “well we used to be best friends” is actually so exceedingly painful bc it’s him directly acknowledging that he doesn’t feel like they’re best friends anymore, it’s him directly addressing the distance between them. That didn’t even happen in the rain fight, bc then Will was talking about the party as a whole and hiding behind the “we” of it all, but at rinkomania he is outright saying “I feel distant from you, I feel like you’re pulling away from me, like you don’t care about me specifically anymore”

Joyce didn’t expect Billy living with them would be so hard for him. To be honest, it‘s frustrating and heartbreaking.
He‘s been sleeping on the couch for three weeks now. He‘s always up first, coffee made, table already set. The blanket is always neatly folded as if the couch has never been used. He‘s like a ghost, whenever she enters the living room, he‘s gone.
Joyce can‘t take it anymore. She tries to talk about it with Billy, but he always hide behind a smile and a joke.
So one morning she sets her alarm early. She goes to the kitchen, sets the table and is already drinking coffee when Billy stumbles into the room.
”What time is it?“ His eyes dart to the clock and Joyce can almost feel his panic. He‘s trying so hard, she realizes. He doesn‘t know he doesn‘t have to earn staying with them.
”Time that I treat you for once, Billy.“ She winks at him and hands him a cup of coffee. ”How about pancakes? Chocolate chip or blueberry?“
”What?“ Billy looks from the coffee to her and back in disbelief. ”I can eat either.“
”But what do you want, sweetie? You can choose.“ She gives him a smile.
”Chocolate chip?“ It‘s more a question than a wish, but Joyce will take it.
She starts making pancakes at 5 am in the morning, way too early to start a Saturday, but not too early to show Billy he‘s welcome here.
