cover for my second minicomic, white noise! "chad why does this one have a cover but the other doesnt" because i Felt like it.

this is a short 7 page comic exploring the relationship between two background characters named birchtail and heronclaw that takes place roughly 5 months before fading starlight. doesnt have much bearing on the main plot but i wanted to finish another minicomic just to like. really prepare myself for getting back into comics i guess

Something earlier this week reminded me of the webcomic White Noise (which apparently there's a different, more active comic by the same name? so not sure what to tag this) and I re-read the whole thing in one sitting. I hadn't read it since high school

Hey, you mentioned a comic called White Noise in the tags of a post, but when I looked it up I found two different webcomics by that name. Would you mind narrowing it down, or sending a link? I'm eternally ravenous for new good webcomics.

Certainly! While I'm familiar with of both of them, I was referring to this White Noise comic. I've been reading it for years and it's lowkey been one of my favorite stories out there, hands down. I really adore everything the creator has done with the characters, the story, the worldbuilding, the creature designs, and how he's grown as an artist since it started.

He's actually on tumblr as well. :)

Hi! Sorry I haven't been active I am bad at social media, but this is a new thing I want to start to hopefully help me post more often. A weekly recommendation! This week I'm telling you to read the webcomic White Noise They are on tumblr @thephooka turn on notifications if you want to know when updates happen. White Noise is about war, finding your family, and the way the past affects the current culture in a myriad of ways. At its heart it is about a badass with wings trying to reunite with his sister despite basically the entire world trying to stop him. This comic has been running for over 10 years. And oh my God you are so lucky you can hop on now I can't even describe it. Listen the deal with webcomics (good ones imo) is that they are made by one guy. Just one dude, taking the time to draw and color a whole page a week. You are lucky if you get one a week BTW. Anyways this comic is now in the epilogue arc which makes it the best time to read all that has been released up until now. You can see the siblings reunited!! Oh my god you don't even have to wait for the payoff! I annoyed my roommates for months crying about how close they were to meeting again and you just gotta turn pages. Listen I may lament this point but honestly the pacing is really well done. Also there is magic! And shape-shifting! And a phooka! And a hot lady blacksmith! It's great, go read it. I am in love with basically every character I ship them all with therapy and having a long long nap.
