🎁💕🦋📚🔮🎨 for the writer ask game
Bailey! You're always so sweet, seriously makes me smile every time I see one of your messages.
🎁 Have a piece of a WIP you want to share?
So this is actually from my 2023 NaNoWriMo project; our protag Hadley has accidentally summoned a demon and decides to introduce it to her best friend, Beth.
Hadley rubbed the back of her neck anxiously. “No, but it’s…” She wracked her brain for something to say but there was no way to explain it without sounding like a crazy person. “Just, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“Alright then. You can show her.”
“Show me– achk!” The choked off shriek that came from Beth was about what Hadley expected, although she was grateful that the girl hadn’t screamed outright.
She turned back to her roommate and held up both hands in a placating gesture. “Okay, okay, so I can sort of explain but the most important thing is that it’s not going to hurt us.”
“Probably not.” Avorsael said.
“Oh how is that helpful?” she demanded, watching the panic and mixed emotions play out across Beth’s face.
“Who said I was trying to be helpful?”
💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?
Omg this one is basically impossible. I think my favorite would have to be 'Gentle Repose', since that one started out as a very short scene idea and turned out into a really sweet, fully formed fic. But it's hard to pick one favorite, even the cringey ones I posted at 12 y/o have a special place in my heart.
🦋 Which character is your favorite to write?
Really Bailey? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. 😂
Of course it's Ahsoka Tano.  I've always said that I basically grew up alongside the character, but looking back at my writing, I can see that the version of her in my fics "grew up" too. I'm able to convey a lot more nuance and depth of detail (I think) that was really challenging as a young writer.
📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?
Gods, there are so many amazing writers out there and I am continually blown away by the talent and passion, people writing entire novels simply because they love it.
Limiting myself to just five, as hard as that is: @dells-bells , @anxiety-banana , @lynnpaper , @webtrinsic1122 and @jedimasterbailey
🔮 Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?
Write badly. Be self indulgent, be cliche, dig out your OCs from middle school that were really just thinly veiled self-inserts. Write absolute utter nonsense and then rewrite. Writing is just dragging the ideas out of your head kicking and screaming, rewriting is where the real magic happens to turn them into a story.
🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
Well if someone made fanart of any of the fics I've written for my D&D character, Maggie Marigold, I'd probably lose my mind and frame the damn thing.
I would love to see anything from 'The Forging' or specifically the scene of Ahsoka and Barriss sharing a cot in 'That joins the Sky and Earth' because I put as much sapphic energy into that as humanely possible.
.
Ask me anything or reblog the original game so I can ask you questions too!

A full alphabetical list of Centauri given names I've heard, both canon and noncanon, partially for shits and giggles and partially so I can see all the phoneme data. Notes will also be made on pronunciation as best I can and names that are being pronounced or romanized incorrectly in canon- some of them are surprising.
The only name that's been excluded here is Vir's original birth name, as the one in my system has asked not to be deadnamed under any circumstances. This is unique to him, as deadnames aren't as emphasized in our culture, but I'm choosing to respect it of course.
Surnames will probably be a different list.
Adiros (AH-dear-OHS), masculine, trans. Adirya
Possible Meaning: "Son (who brings the family) Pride"
An extremely popular male given name that's comparable to John. A good John Smith Centauri name could be something like Adiros Lopena or Adiros Refa (or Adiros Mollari, if Ilamphboran). Adirya is the corrected spelling of Adira, who was a trans woman in my canon.
A popular diminutive for this name is Addir, especially for trans men who choose it. The trans woman's version of the diminutive is Adya
Affora (AH-for-UH), feminine, trans Affir
Possible Meaning: "Hearth, Home"
Anck (Anghk), feminine, trans. Anir or Ancir
Possible Meaning: None, a single phoneme popular as a girl's name that probably originated as a diminutive of some sort.
Ancori (AH-nkor-EE), masculine, trans. Ancoya
Possible Meaning: "Proud (and) Sturdy"
Anto (AHN-toh), masculine, trans. Anya
Possible Meaning: "Dawn"; possibly originally a name for someone who wakes early. Timeline corrected version of Antono Refa's name.
Caphra (CAH-phruh), masculine, trans. Capya
Possible Meaning: "Precious & Tenacious"
Cartaja (KAR-tah-GUH), masculine, trans. Cartaya or Cartya
Possible Meaning: "Precious & Lucky", also the traditional name of one of the brighter stars in the night sky of Centauri Prime, holding similar use and significance to Polaris on earth. Timeline corrected version of Cartagia's name.
A popular diminutive for this name is "Taja."
Fiev (FEE-iv), masculine, trans. Fiya
Possible Meaning: "Clever"
Fressea/Fressia (FRESH-uh), masculine, trans. Fressya or Freya
Possible Meaning: Ilampbhoran version of an unknown mainlander name (theory is "Fraja" which means "Compassionate (to me)"
Gola (GO-luh), feminine, trans. Golir
Possible Meaning: "Peace"; occurs mostly in Ilampbhoran.
Ilaai (ii-AY), feminine, trans. Ilair or Ilir
Possible Meaning: Unknown/None (il and aai are both phonemes)
Ilakiri (ii-AH-keer-EE), unisex, rare.
Possible Meaning: A combination of Ilaai or Ilair/Ilir and perhaps a corruption of the Narn name Ki'ie. Only known example was the half-Narn hybrid Ilakiri Lopena.
Jano (JAH-no), masculine, trans Jaya
Possible Meaning: Probably "Deep Root"; from the word Jania which simply means "Root" and the sound O which lends the idea of strength to male names.
Jileen (Jeh-leh-AHN), feminine, trans Jilir
Possible Meaning: "Divine, Heavenly"; a traditional name for one of the more famous stars in the night sky of Centauri Prime.
Kizza (Kih-ZUH), unisex, rare
Possible Meaning: A modern name used by some gender transgressive Centauri, combining the feminine Ki sound and the masculine Za.
Kovo (KOH-VOH), masculine, trans. Koya
Possible Meaning: "Mirth"
Lomak (LOM-achk), masculine, trans. Lomni or Lomi
Possible Meaning: Sosovovan name referring to a kind of fast growing weed.
Londo (Lahn-doh), masculine, trans. Lonya or Loya
Possible Meaning: "(strength of) will", from a word that refers to stonelike hardiness. Only found on Ilampbhora, where it enjoys considerable popularity. Obviously the best Centauri name of all time.
Maris (MAR-ees), masculine, trans. Maya
Possible Meaning: Occupational name originally for a man whose family is employed in local law enforcement.
Mareel (MAR-eel), feminine, trans. Marir or Mir
Possible Meaning: Timeline corrected version of Mariel Mollari's name. Occupational name originally for a woman who's family was employed in tailoring.
Meelo (ME-low), masculine, trans. Meeya
Possible Meaning: "Obedient"; timeline corrected version of Milo Virini's name.
Paja (PAH-jah), masculine, trans. Paya
Possible Meaning: "For Me, I Am Lucky"; also an emotive name describing a quality of Centauri masculinity that is considerate, thoughtful and thorough.
Rema (REE-muh), feminine, trans. Remir
Possible Meaning: Occupational name originally for a woman whose family was employed in blacksmithing.
Reeko/Rikko (REE-koh), masculine, trans. Riya
Possible Meaning: "Eager, Swift"
Sidra (Sid-RAH), masculine, trans. Sidya or Siya
Possible Meaning: Name originally for a man whose family were local landowners.
Sil (Sill), masculine, trans Sini or Sni
Possible Meaning: Sosovovan name meaning 'gentle; at ease.'
Soven (SOH-vehn), masculine, trans. Sovya
Possible Meaning: "Destined (for) Greatness"
Teemanck (TEEM-anghk), feminine, trans. Teemvir or Teevir
Possible Meaning: Timeline corrected version of Timov Mollari's name. A Teemanck is a kind of teal blue flowering plant native to the foothills of Arrul Varis.
The transmasc version is one of a handful of names that contributed to the existence of the popular diminutive and proper name Vir.
Urza (UR-zah), masculine, trans. Urya or Uya
Possible Meaning: An emotive word describing an aspect of Centauri masculinity that is intense, mercurial, and energetic.
Vir (VEER or VREER), masculine
Possible Meaning: Diminutive of names with this particle and also a proper name in its own right. Usually a trans man's name, adapted from a woman's name with the traditionally transmasc ir suffix, but popular enough to be found used by cis men occasionally too.
The canon spelling is more or less correct; however it should be noted that this name traditionally involves a "purring" rolled R sound along with the V sound. This sound is made by applying forward pressure to the tongue ridges, making it difficult for other species to replicate precisely, though approximations are possible.
Virini (VEER-ahn-AYE), masculine, trans Vinya or Viya
Possible Meaning: lit. "(the) Younger Vir" fig. "Son of Vir." This is both a common surname and given name.
Vole (Vohl-AY), masculine, trans Voya
Possible Meaning: An emotive word describing an aspect of Centauri masculinity that is stable, calm, and authoritative.

Just out of curiosity: how fast do you usually answer non-prompt asks?
achk, it can greatly, greatly vary from prompts to non prompt asks.
to be completely transparent, i'm at 104 unanswered in my askbox right now which is the worst (on my part) it's been in ages. i like to try to set at least 30 minutes aside to answer asks every day, but sometimes i can't :< or i want to write instead, which means i go to prompts or actual fic google docs because i want to be able to give y'all more writing just as much as i want to respond to asks
sometimes something comes in and i can respond immediately because it's extremely relevant to something i just posted (i try to do this when it comes to asks relating to ao3 chapters/prompt fills i just posted), but sometimes things get lost until i'm scrolling through and see it and i'm like 'ah damn it's been like. a month. but i'm going to respond now'
i do know i need a better system tbh and i wish i had one, but i do not :<

Lesson time with Dani:
youtube
I think the lesson here is that... you cant destroy your self esteem if you dont have self esteem. Gosh, this is the first time im rewatching this in days and im IMMEDIATELY REMEMBERING THE TALENT.
Onto the reviews!
My little swiss roll by a 33 year old Japanese composer. If it is not yet clear, i cannot read Japanese. And Eddy, we don't make you fat you just like eating. (omg i like eating too! Soulmates confirmed?! Yeah nah my heart will always be for my brettybae) Also, fUCK now i want bubble tea. (I am smelling bubble tea right now. Even though there is no bubble tea. Am i gOING INSANE.)
1. Kitai - Anticipation. Oh, i can dEFINITELY feel the excitement in this one. Is there a word for excitedly waiting? Or is that just the word anticipation? Because let me tell you, i genuinely yEARNED for swiss rolls with that part. Its so light and joyful, like watching a baker prepare your swiss roll as a young child who's most important worry is the swiss roll he's about to eat. Yes, there are some questionable parts but overall, i think the bois conveyed the proper emotions and feelings correctly. Its either that or my stomach is asking me to eat breakfast.
2. Gochiso - Feast. I am already getting an image of putting a piece of cake in your mouth and savoring the wonderful sweetness and flavors of the cake, icings and fillings. The way your face slowly turns into a smile as the sugar dissolves and spreads onto your tongue and the way the fork just cuts the soft cake. And the strawberry topping you pop in your mouth. Thank you for that perfect pizz. Turned my heavy romance fluff fic back into a happy lil comedy.
3. Akogare - Longing. Okay, this is too sad to be felt IMMEDIATELY AFTER eating the cake. Its still fits the title of longing its just wOAH OKAY EMOTIONAL WHIPLASH EXISTS. If this was set like a story thing, i feel like this takes place after our protag has left the bakery and has lost the sweet taste of swiss roll cake from his lips. And started to yearn once again for more, the faint flavors of his tongue reminding him of a happier time. A time with swiss roll cake...
Damn now i want swiss roll.
Aviolintango by Lorezno Gutierrez. wOAH THIS ONE SOUNDS EPICCCCCCCCCCC. Dude, this sounds like something that could play in like a fight or chase scene in a fight scene. Its pretty short but its still a wonderful piece. And that soft troll ending? Perfect. Not just because of the reactions. Because youd want it to end on an even bigger grander note than the one before it right? But, the composer decided to step away and let the cheeky spy vibes flow until the end. Please do not judge my opinion, if it isnt clear yet, even though ive said thus a thousand times over, i am just a kid who likes two violin bois and classical music. I just vibe yo.
Inspiration by Vladimir Bodunov, 39 years old. Damn. The first part they played sounded to me like the desire and struggle to lift off the ground and fly. Like, the person wants to, the desire is there but its not enough. I feel like they stopped that part near the "climax" where the tension finally breaks and it takes off. The final part to me sounds like... (a dying seal) the person in focus of the piece or whatever finally reaching the sun. And having a phoenix-like rebirth. With just two chords too! The talent and skill. I kent.
Duet for two violins by Robyn, 13 years old. (Okay flex) Also pretty nice of her to leave dynamics up to interpretation. (Even though i have nO IDEA what that means) And i kNOW THAT ITS A DUET BUT- for some fUCKIN reason, its giving me quartet vibes. And i dONT. KNOW. WHY. IS THE PIECE JUST THAT GOOD. (Lol probabky just heard a quartet playing something like this and my memories were instantly. Unlocked.) I guess it gives me vague schubert or schumann vibes. I forgot which one had a lot of chamber music. BASICALLY WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY IS. It nice. Me like. (Tiny claps)
Flying Fledglings by Anastasia Loiko, 14 yrs old. (Please stop flexing. I already know im uSELESS) It sounded very smooth, in the way that the first few bars personally sounded like a strange... denial despair troubked feeling feeling, ykno? That typa tension, when youre still riled with emotion. And it transitioned over to a more uplifting feeling like yeah, it might not be with us anymore but its probably gone to a better place. It sounds like a person slowly letting go of their saddness, and even though there was some rocky parts (not just from the bois playing OOP-) they still accepted that its not there anymore and learned to live wih that saddness. Ykno? (Or I'm overthinking this too much because of too much angst fics and depression things. Personal life bABEY. IT COMPLI.)
Undicht by Jiro Yoshioka, 20 yrs old. Omg, i LOVE this. The first violin part on its own sounds like some kinda James Bond spy theme. BUT THEN THE PIZZ- OMG its sounds like sUCH a whimsical spy theme oH MY GOD AHAHAHA (i mean it kinda morphs into a more chill and serious part after that but like cMON. THE WHIMSY. I KENT-) And aCHK Eddy's lil hip shake i cANNOT. THIS IS JUST SUCH A FUN PIECE TO LISTEN TO AHAH

How The Mandalorian Dave Filoni Action Figure Hearkens Back to a Star Wars Tradition
https://ift.tt/3hNABri
Star Wars toys remain one of the venerable franchise’s most reliable metrics when it comes to assessing the enduring sustainability of its films and television shows, and also accurately identifies which characters continue to capture the imaginations of fans young and old alike. However, the miniaturized medium is occasionally used as a tribute to some of the franchise’s esteemed behind-the-scenes personnel. Indeed, Hasbro has just revealed that the latest recipient of this honor is none other than The Mandalorian’s Dave Filoni.
Amongst Hasbro’s reveals for its heralded PulseCon 2021 toy event was a Star Wars The Black Series 6” scale action figure for The Mandalorian‘s New Republic pilot, Trapper Wolf. To the layperson, the figure would appear to be just a generic representation of a body-mold-recycled Rebel pilot, which begs the question as to why it’s getting the deluxe treatment, sold for $29.99, which is well above the line’s current standard SKU price of $22.99. Of course, the answer lies in the fact that the Trapper figure is a limited release specifically aimed at collectors, a group who know that the character represents the memorable onscreen cameo(s) of the celebrated Star Wars visionary, Dave Filoni. Indeed, minus the missing sartorial choice of a cowboy hat, the figure’s un-helmeted head bears an uncanny resemblance to the famed producer.
Hasbro
Hasbro
Hasbro’s official box copy for the—Filoni-cloning—Trapper Wolf figure describes the character by stating, “A veteran of the Rebellion against the Empire, Trapper Wolf now serves as a pilot in the New Republic. He flies his X-wing as part of a squadron that patrols the outer reaches of the galaxy.” Yet, inside-baseball-privy Star Wars fans know Filoni as the executive producer and driving force behind popular animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, who subsequently teamed with creator Jon Favreau to conceive The Mandalorian in all its live-action, cinematic-continuity-continuing glory, and will work on upcoming live-action spinoff shows such as The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. Indeed, like Favreau, he has been catapulted to a legendary status upon the success of the Disney+ series; something that facilitated this minor onscreen role, which has even managed to become a recurring one.
Filoni first played Trapper Wolf in The Mandalorian Season 1, Episode 6, “The Prisoner,” and returned in Season 2, Episode 2, “The Passenger.” Yet, unlike other instances of these cameo-type parts, Filoni’s onscreen presence, while brief, helped drive the plot and even came with speaking lines. In the former episode, he was seen piloting one of the New Republic X-wings that intercepted the Bothan-Five correctional transport—on which Din Djarin’s prison caper group project went sideways due to betrayal. However, in the latter episode, Trapper was initially positioned as an antagonist, pursuing Din’s Razor Crest on planet Maldo Kreis, after which he returned to rescue the embattled bounty hunter from a siege of ice spiders. It was a memorable role that saw the producer directly interact with the stoic, helmeted protagonist, and even held him at gunpoint (as the figure effectively represents,) after the ice spider incident before deciding that Din’s good deeds justified letting him off with a warning about his pesky non-emitting transponder.

Consequently, Filoni’s onscreen role played into a tradition for the franchise’s creative minds; a tradition that was previously fulfilled—to varied degrees—by such luminaries as creator George Lucas (as Revenge of the Sith theater patron Baron Papanoida), key concept artist Ralph McQuarrie (as Rebel General McQuarrie in The Empire Strikes Back), Original Trilogy threequel director Richard Marquand (as an AT-ST driver in Return of the Jedi), on-set artist Joe Johnston (as the “spacetrooper” seen walking outside the Death Star in A New Hope, whose face is shown in a famous behind-the-scenes photo), original Boba Fett portrayer Jeremy Bulloch (as Jeremoch Colton, pilot of Bail Organa’s ship in Revenge of the Sith) and even Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best (as nightclub patron Achk Med-Beq in Attack of the Clones) et al.
By no coincidence, all of the mentioned walk-on roles have similarly received action figure treatments by Hasbro across the various iterations of the Star Wars toy line at some point. In fact, Lucas received the plastic tribute in 3 ¾” scale on multiple occasions, first in 2002 as a Rebel pilot with a play on his name, called “Jorg Sacul,” then as a 2006 mail-away stormtrooper figure that bore his face underneath the removable white dome. Most notably, he received a figure as the blue-skinned Baron Papanoida, which was part of a 2006 4-pack released as the “Lucas Collector’s Set,” which also included representations of his children’s onscreen cameos in Revenge of the Sith, with son Jett Lucas as (doomed) Jedi youngling Zett Jukasa, daughter Amanda Lucas as senator Terr Taneel and daughter Katie Lucas as Twi’lek senator Chi Eekway.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Nevertheless, it is unlikely that the saga of Dave Filoni’s Trapper Wolf is destined to expand beyond the scope of a few (maybe more) appearances across Disney’s new, small-screen-expanded Star Wars continuity. However, if nothing else, the prolific producer and de facto fulcrum of the entire franchise can always hang one of his signature Stetsons on the proverbial hat rack of action figure immortality.

CrossSwords - Chapter Twenty
It was dusk, all the lights within the castle were either off or very dim. Everybody was asleep and all was silent in the castle. But there was one person active who tread through the halls silently, using only the tips of their feet to move. Quietly, they approached a hatch. Opening it and looking down the entrance to the cellars.
Once they were in, they scanned the area and then proceeded. The only sound being made was a light footstep, an occasional take-in of air and soft drops of water somewhere off nearby. Eventually making it through the maze-like labyrinth of a cellar, the person finally made it. Ahead of themselves there laid a multitude of treasures. Bags of Gol, priceless artifacts and weapons and also...
"The head of The Dragon's Flute. Ohaahhaa...Finally..."
Chapter 20: Time of Resistance ( Part Three )
"Thank you very much, Sir." Erie spoke to the man who was leading the carriage, he waved back at her as she was walking back into Farza Town to find the contestants. Many thoughts crossed her mind, who would she find? Would they want to defend the kingdom? Would they have the very same safety? Before she could think up an answer to satisfy her curiosity she ran into one of the contestants: Christopher. The one who was paired with Vincent during the first rounds and lost.
"Ack--Hey! Watch where you're going!..." He stared at Erie for a short while then stepped back. "Aren't you the Knight Commander? What are you doing here?"
"Listen, do you know where the other contestants are? The one's who participated in the tournament?!" She looked him in the eyes and all he could do was stand there slightly frightened. "Uh, why? The tournament is already over and we had the after-party already so what now?"
"The Varksa Kingdom is facing a crisis. We would like your help and hopefully, the rest of the tournament competitors." He looked down in though for a moment before looking off to the side. "Hah. Tough luck. The winner of the tournament left back to Narch not too long ago, the top 5 however are still somewhere here."
"Can you gather them? Please.."
"What's in it for me? Money? My own servant? Or something else?" He spoke quietly while leaning in, his shoulder-length hair obscuring his face slightly while he was leaned in. "What you'll get is the pride of doing the right thing for the Kingdom."
He stared at the woman for a long minute then let out a heavy sigh, looking to the side once more. "Fine. I'll get as many as I can, wait around the Inn until then." He fixed his hair and looked at his hand for a moment, turning to her. "Yeah, I'll get them." Then ran off.

A Dark Cave, 3 Days after Stacia Village's fall.
"So...Tell me, how much value do we hold right now?" Kohma's unstable voice spoke. He was in his tent, turned around just as he was done putting his mask on. "Collecting everything since then..We're at 14,000 Gol. That majority is thanks to that ball." Another spoke, looking at the ball which was firmly placed on Kohma's desk.
"That's good..Hest Town from what the scouts have told me..They have a pretty hefty stash of money."
"Oh, and sir..There have also been reports that Knights of the Varska Castle are dispatching to tend to still standing villages. One group of knights went to check on Stacia Village."
"I see...Well, that village is already dead. I suggest killing the knights who have yet to make it to the other villages. Hest Town cannot be heavily guarded this time. That girl actually managed to put a dent in on our available men." Kohma took in a deep breath then slowly exhaled, looking ahead.
"Let's just see how well we do anyways. Come now, let's get ready to attack."
~ ~ ~
Fields of Varska, November 16th 2278, 10:46 PM.
The winds were howling through the night, a group of 13 Knights traveled through the darkness. Nobody spoke, they were all silent. The only thing making noise would be their armors and weapons gently pressing against one another. "General Fyrestone, Sir..Why did we dispatch during the evening?" Asked the knight in the second row, 2nd person. General Fyrestone simply looked over his shoulder then back ahead. The man leading all the knights was known to the Kingdom as General Fyrestone. A man without an ounce of forgiveness. He wears a large, bulky suit of armor made from reinforced iron and chain-mail. His large sword carried by his waist and his wide shield behind his back.
"If we move in the Darkness, less bandits will show up, and we can get there by morning. Which will give us enough time to set up a small defensive position."
"That's..another thing, General, sir. Who are we fighting?" He asked once more. "From the reports I've been given, it seems like a group bent on bringing down the Kingdom. It's been much too long since I've received a report like that.." The General looked to be in thought for a moment.
"Fnn--!!" A whizzing sound struck the ears of all the knights true. One looked around in the dark of night then eventually felt the end of an arrow, lodged into the ground. Fyrestone knew this sound all too well, turning to look at the small hills surrounding them, and as he expected. Dark, inky silhouettes stand there with their arms in the air and holding some sort of object. His immediate thought was that it was a bow, and he had no reason to be wrong. "Shields up, men!!" He said just as all of the silhouettes let free their right hand to let more arrows fly.
The arrows made impact with the ground, metals and flesh. Most of the knights were able to survive the onslaught of countless arrows. Once they recovered they looked at where the arrows were coming from.
Again, they pulled their bow strings back for a second then let go once more, another wave of arrows were coming. "Shields up!! Hurry!" The General gave no time for the knights to run, they all put their shields up and braced for impact. Once again, most of the arrows struck their shields and armors, but some slipped through and hit the necks and napes of some knights.
The General raised his head to look around. Half of the men were lying on the ground with dark sticks pointing out of them. "Damn it." He then felt something coming up behind him, pulling out his sword and turning around, swinging his sword as he did so. "Achk--!!" The cry of a man was heard throughout, a dark liquid substance staining the General's sword. "They're not giving us time! We have to fight back!" He looked up in the air and his eyes widened. "Oh god.."
~ ~ ~
Erie put her cup down, a clanking sound rung throughout the bar. "He's really taking awhile." She said under her breath before sighing. She wasn't actually too sure if she could trust these young people with defending the walls of the Castle. But, if King Rose ordered her to do it, she would.
"Knight Commander, Erie." A voice called to her, she raised her head to look around, eventually catching the sight of Christopher with about 4 other people behind him. One of them was the runner-up, two of them were in the top 10 and the last one behind Christopher was in the top 3. A sudden wave of relief washed over her as she grew a smile. "I'm back, these guys were a pain in the ass to find."
She simply shook her head then stood up. "Good..It isn't a lot, but you guys will do. Come on, let's get back to the castle. We've got to get you guys properly geared up and fed." She stood up from her seat and placed a few gol coins down and exited the place along side the 5 warriors.
"Sorry, even for someone as important as you, we can't lend you the carriage. It's been reserved already, so tough luck." Said an old man who ran the carriage business in Farza Town. "But..This is urgent! The fate of the Kingdom is at stake!"
"Yeah? Well ain't that a sucker." The old man said. Erie needed to return to the castle in time, she wasn't going to take this. She grabbed the old man by the collar and pulled him close until their faces were inches apart. "You will give us this carriage, I will drive it. And these five will ride along."
"B-But what a-about..p-paymen--"
"The payment? I'll pay double for what those people were paying you originally."
The old man stared into the burning eyes of the woman for a long while. "I..I've never had someones reservation cancelled before." He said while turning his head over to the last available horse carriage. "Times are changing." She said simply before tossing him aside, reaching in a small bag she carried around, tossing a bag of gol at him then proceeding to the carriage.
"Get in. We have to get there as fast as we can and speak with the King. We'll get further orders from there!" She exclaimed while the five climbed into the carriage and shut the door. "C'mon!" She whipped the small leather binds, the horses letting out a feisty neigh then beginning to dash off back onto the main dirt road.

"I don't care how bad I am! Let me go!!"
CrossSwords - Chapter 21: Time of Devastation ( Part Four )
1 Night after Hest Town's Attack
"Well..The attack on Hest Town went swimmingly. Heck, those knights we had to deal with on the way? Were those even really knights?! I've seen guards do better at small villages for crying out loud! Anyways..You guys can do whatever you want to that 'General' gu--"
Suddenly interrupted by someone dashing in the tent, carrying a bag around his shoulder. "I'm back..And...I've got it."
Kohma was about ready to kill whoever interrupted him, but clapped his hands together once hearing what he had to say. "Oh? Is that so? Well, we might actually be able to do what they weren't able to. Maybe it's because they thought they were living in a time of peace? How idiotic. No, they're living in the worst time possible..."
