and its even funnier cause like. hes alive in the sequel and its never explained how he got out of that shit alive. last we saw him he was getting choked to death by some guy's insides and then he's. just here. this is how its gonna be and we're just moving on. no time to waste on things like "plot holes" and "on screen character deaths being undone" we've got places to be! bodies to reanimate! women to be sexist to!

sometimes i see wachowski brothers content of sonic and knuckles being way too overprotective of tails, and i feel like that’s a little bit mischaracterized. yeah, they definitely look out for each other, but i simply don’t see sonic and knuckles underestimating tails like that. literally the first thing tails did after sonic left him behind to fight knuckles alone was steal a plane to rescue them, and sonic acknowledges that. knuckles is confident tails can fly fast carrying him despite being “one million percent muscle”.

i get where youre coming from. i think they are protective, but they also trust tails to handle himself in most situations. at the same time, i think theyd much rather endanger themselves than him, which causes conflict since hes probably just as protective but cant show it as much due to his size and his skills being more specialized instead of lending him to general combat. i also think that at least in sonics case, youre forgetting that the reason he left tails alone in the first place (even if he then went on to rescue him) was because he didnt want him to he hurt, PLUS with the drone home short we know movie tails is still nervous around dangerous situations. i havent seen much content i think theyre being overprotective in, but as ive mentioned in the past, i dont engage with a lot of fan content so it couldve just flown by me.
