Kate mini version
Anthony Bridgerton x Kate Sharma x sis!reader
summary: Kate's sister is sent to live with Kate and Anthony by her mother who had to travel to India and couldn't take her. Feeling that she was unwanted and intruding on the Bridgerton couple's lives, Y/n starts acting distant. When Anthony and Kate realize this, they try to make Y/n see how much she is loved by everyone
requested: yes
Tumblr media
Y/n was sitting in her carriage for 5 minutes, not having the courage to open the door. She was outside the Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton mansion, in other words her sister and her brother-in-law. Her hands trembled in her lap as she took a deep breath to try to calm her anxiety and her irregular heartbeat.
Her mother Mary had to travel to India and decided to not let her youngest go with her. As Y/n was still too young to consider it safe to keep her at home alone, even with maids, Mary asked Anthony and Kate to welcome her into their home.
Ever since Mary's older daughter found a husband and went to live a new life, Y/n felt that her relationship with her mother got worse.
The house was quieter, both of them no longer had the usual company of the other sisters. It made Y/n realize how she couldn’t hold a conversation with Mary, at least not like Kate and Edwina. It also didn't help that Y/n was extremely similar to their father, who had already died. It seemed like Mary was grieving again for her late lover, and Y/n was the cause of it.
So, like a snowball effect, Y/n couldn't help but think that Kate and Anthony were just taking her in out of obligation, since they were family, but that she was actually considered a burden for them.
"Would you like for me to open the door, Miss?" the maid who accompanied her asked with a gentle smile.
"There is no need for that, Anne. Thank you." she replied, snapping out of her thoughts.
With a last deep breath, Y/n opened the door just as Anthony and Kate were leaving the house. As soon as she saw them, Y/n bowed slightly. When she lifted her head again she found the two of them with a smile directed at her. But even so, she had doubts, after all, in this society, everyone had learned to master the fake polite smile. Kate hurried to her, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Y/n! It's so nice to have you here. The house can get so quiet when the Viscount is working. It'll be great to have our conversations like we had before." Kate whispered in her ear, Y/n only responding with a small smile.
Anthony approached the younger Sharma to greet her, Y/n bowing again. "Lord Bridgerton, thank you for your hospitality. It was very kind of you."
"By all means, Miss Y/n, you are family. Now let's come inside, Phillip can bring your belongings to your room." Anthony said, linking his arm with his wife and starting to head towards the room where the maids were setting the table for the tea.
Y/n followed behind the couple, her steps cautious. She looked at the huge mansion and sighed, her fears continuously running through her mind. This was going to be a very long month.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
It was still quite early, the sun's rays barely illuminating the mansion. However, Y/n was already awake and ready for the day. She went down to the kitchen, wanting to help the cooks and maids. It was the least she could do, since now they were cooking for one more person and the day before they had brought her a rather late meal since she didn't eat all of dinner.
The maids were surprised to see the youngest Sharma in the kitchen, tying an apron around her waist. However, with a lot of resistance on Y/n's part, they let the girl help. Y/n had a lot of fun, the maids had a good relationship with each other, throwing in some jokes from time to time that made her laugh.
Y/n was placing the last dish on the table. She had to admit that everything looked great. The food varied from fruit to various cakes and breads. Just in time, Anthony entered the kitchen, stopping in surprise when he saw Y/n there.
"Miss Sharma, I wasn't expecting you to be awake already. It's quite early."
"I'm a morning person, Lord Bridgerton." Y/n chuckled, running her hands down her dress nervously. She then pointed to the table, desperate not to remain in an awkward silence. "Breakfast is ready."
"I see that, everything looks great." he sat at the end of the table. Y/n remained standing, looking around, causing Anthony to hesitate before asking, "Aren't you going to sit down to eat too?"
"Oh! I already ate with the maids, thank you. Hm, is my sister awake?"
Anthony clears his throat, looking down. A frown appeared on Y/n's face when she saw the man's cheeks start to turn pink. "Your sister is still sleeping. She was not feeling well last night so she couldn't sleep much."
"Very well..." The girl nodded slowly. "I shall bring her tea when she wakes up. Until then, I was hoping I could go on for a walk in the gardens? Please?"
"Of course, Y/n, you don't have to ask." Anthony nodded, wiping his mouth with a napkin after drinking some orange juice. "Do you want me to ask a maid to go with you and keep you company?"
"No, it's okay, I prefer to go alone."
"No problem. In the afternoon we should go to my mother's house to play pall-mall. It would be lovely if you decided to join us."
"Oh, I'm not sure yet. I wouldn't want to interrupt your family time." Y/n looked away so as not to show the sadness she felt.
She had never even met Anthony's family properly, only meeting them briefly at the couple's wedding. Either way, with all the stories she'd heard from Kate, she doubted she'd be able to fit into the family dynamic. She was afraid that Anthony was only extending the invitation to her out of obligation to now be living with them, after all, she had never been invited even when her two sisters were.
However, with all these thoughts, the girl did not see the frown that appeared on her sister's husband's face. What do you mean she didn't want to interrupt family time when it was part of it?
Although his family never spent much time with Y/n, it was just because since she was younger, they thought she would feel more comfortable with her mother instead of being dragged around with Edwina and Kate to every event. She had lost her father and moved countries, they didn't want to overwhelm her. However, Anthony's siblings really wanted to meet her, especially Francesca and Hyacinth, who wanted to have a new friend.
"Y/n, you are family. My siblings would love to spend more time with you, especially my sisters." Anthony finally said.
"I will think about it." Y/n offered him a small smile out of politeness. "I will be heading to the gardens. Let me know if you need me. Excuse me, Lord Bridgerton."
When Y/n finally left the dining room, Anthony rubbed a hand over his face in frustration. He really needed to talk to his wife about this.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Y/n was lying down on the grass, enjoying the sun's rays that warmed her skin, when Kate found her. After Anthony told her about what happened at breakfast, Kate knew there was something wrong with her younger sister.
Anthony's wife lay down beside Y/n, alerting her to her presence. Y/n lifted her head, offering her sister a small smile. "Are you feeling better?"
"Pardon?" Kate frowned, not understanding the question. Her mouth opened in realization as she remembered what Anthony had told her with a light blush. "Oh, yes, I'm fine. Nothing that a few more hours of sleep couldn't solve."
"I'm glad." Y/n closed her eyes again, enjoying the sunny day.
"Are you enjoying your time here? Lord Bridgerton told me that you cooked with the maids today." Kate said after a few moments of silence.
"Yes, they were lovely. I wanted to help."
"If you had a good time then there's no problem. But you know you don't need to get up early to cook for us. I want you to have fun and be comfortable while you're here."
Y/n remained silent. Her hand started messing with the grass, a way to distract herself. "I know." she replied with a small voice.
"Do you?" the elder Sharma raised her eyebrows teasingly.
But Y/n remained silent, a small frown forming on her face as she thought about what Kate said. In turn, Kate felt her heart tighten with guilt. As she looked at her little sister, she remembered when she was a baby and made exactly the same face when she thought. A sigh escaped her lips, missing having Y/n's company all day.
The three Sharma sisters used to spend every waking moment together, strolling around the garden or simply relaxing in silence. But now, with Kate married and Edwina being courted by the prince, they didn't think about how it would affect Y/n.
"Tell me what is really wrong." Kate asked with sad eyes. Y/n sat down, opening her mouth to start speaking, but nothing came out. "Y/n, I'm sorry I haven't spent much time with you. But I love you, and I want you to be comfortable being here with me and Anthony."
"You didn't just let me stay out of obligation?" the younger sister asked shyly, refusing to look into Kate's eyes, who had also sat up and was trying to lift Y/n's chin with her hand.
"No! In fact, I was the one who asked mother to let you stay with me instead of considering you going with her to India. We wanted you here. I miss seeing my little sister every day. It can get lonely when Anthony works, and I love having you here."
"Really? But when you're bored, don't you visit Lord Bridgerton's siblings?"
"Yes, but no one can replace you. And I'm always talking about you to them, from all the stories I've told, I think they like you more than me!" Kate laughed, her smile widening when Y/n also chuckled. "I'm sure they would be delighted for you to go with us to play pall-mall."
"Hmm, I'm not sure. What if they don't like me?"
"Oh!" Anthony's wife gasped as if it was the most ridiculous idea. "That's impossible! With your heart and your kindness, they would be fools to not like you!"
"I really missed you." Y/n admitted, resting her head on Kate's shoulder.
"Me too. And after mother comes back, our house is still open. You can come here whenever you wish."
"Thank you, Kate. I'm glad you found Anthony, you seem very happy."
"I am happy." Kate assured her. "And just because I am married now, nothing changes between us. You are still my priority."
"Thank you. And I believe a game of pall-mall is not the worst thing in the world. I will join you." the younger girl nodded with a smile, gaining confidence from her sister's words.
"Great! Then you'll also get to see Lord Bridgerton be a sore loser when I win."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
She was already starting to regret her decision when she saw Anthony's family in the garden, already bickering with each other. She and her sisters were competitive, but not at this level.
"Dear siblings, if you could please just listen to me first." Anthony caught their attention with a sarcastic smile. "This is Miss Y/n, Kate's younger sister. She will be joining us today."
"Another Sharma? We are going to lose!" the younger boy, who Y/n assumed was Gregory, said.
Two other girls came to her, introducing themselves as Francesca and Hyacinth, Anthony's younger sisters. As they excitedly talked, Y/n's nerves began to disappear. Kate watched them closely, relaxing when she noticed that her sister was smiling, looking happy to be making friends. Her husband joined her, letting her lean against him and kissing her cheek.
"I told you it was going to be okay."
"Yeah, I know. But I was so sad that she thought we didn't want her here with us. It's my fault." Kate whispered sadly, feeling Anthony put his arm around her waist in comfort.
"It's not your fault, my love. We have to make her feel welcome, but for now, I think she's having fun." Noticing that Kate still wasn't convinced, he added. "What if the three of us went for a horse ride tomorrow? You once told me that Y/n always wanted to ride a horse, but she never got to learn since your father died. What if I taught her?"
"You would do that?" his wife smiled in delight. "Oh, Anthony, thank you. I'm sure she would love that."
"Anything for my wife and her little sister." Anthony smiled, giving her a chaste kiss on the lips. "I love you."
"Are you being this lovely just so I won't be so competitive in the game?" she laughed teasingly. "Forget it! Prepare to lose, my dear husband."
Kate turned her back on him, going to the others so they could start the game. Anthony enjoyed the view of his wife, wondering how he got so lucky. "I love my life."
While they were playing, Eloise told Y/n how women deserved to go to college and not live just for their husbands. Benedict appeared later, declaring that he was going to save her from her sister's obsessions, making Y/n hide a giggle behind her hand. In turn, he and Collin were extremely funny, especially when Anthony made a bad move and Kate beat him.
Y/n also had time to meet Daphne's son, who seemed to like her and demanded with a cry that she pick him up. She didn't complain, the baby was too cute to refuse anything.
She and her two new friends got tired of playing, preferring to sit under the shade with the baby and play a little with him. Meanwhile, they talked about everything and got to know more about each other. They only realized how much time had passed when Lady Violet Bridgerton called them to drink and eat something.
By late afternoon, Y/n was exhausted but happy. Her family was more complete, and she loved being part of its dynamic.

Fairy Scents ft. Kiane Kids Scent Headcanons
It's well established that each fairy has a scent that is associated with a flower or a herb. So far we have confirmed scents for each notable fairy we have been introduced to.
So after some quick research I found some info about these flowers and their scents
King - Gold Osmanthus
Tumblr media
Osmanthus Wine tastes same as I remember, but where are those who share the memory XD
Origins: China
In the language of flowers, they carry the meaning of love and romance, symbolising true love and faithfulness
Smells like a mix of juicy peaches, ripe apricots with soft leather or suede.
Elaine - Lavender
Origins: Mediterranean
Represent purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness.
Biblical meaning of lavender symbolizes purity, devotion, and love
Delicate, sweet smell that is floral, herbal, and evergreen woodsy at the same time
Helbram - White Rose
Origins: Ancient Greece
Symbolize loyalty, purity, and innocence.
Combination of floral and fruity notes, with hints of honey and jasmine
Fun fact: A White Rose is what King used to kill Helbram (the first time) it turned red because of the blood
Gerheade - Mint
Origins: Mediterranean
Symbol of Hospitality and Wisdom
Gloxinia - Ginger
Origins: Maritime Southeast Asia
In many cultures, ginger is considered a symbol of love
Used in religious rituals to symbolize cleansing, protection and blessing.
Warm and spicy, with a hint of sweetness
Lancelot - Lemon
Origins: Unknown (said to be first grown in Northeast India, Northern Myanmar, or China)
Symbol of purity and cleansing
Headcanon Time
Since Nakaba hasn't spoken out about their scents I'll give my thoughts on the matter.
Lancelot introduced fruits into the mix of scents and Gloxinia smells like Ginger which is a root so I went ham with this.
Nasiens - Oleander or Sunflower
Tumblr media
Oleander are toxic which is very fitting for our Mad Herbalist
Smells like Vanilla
Oleander symbolizes love, beauty, and resilience
I want one of Kiane's kids to smell like Sunflowers cause you know... Sunflower
Sunflowers also don't have a distinct smell so it's actually fitting for Nasiens since he grew up thinking he's human so there's really no natural fairy-like smell he could have detected from himself
Sunflower represents longevity, lasting happiness, adoration, and loyalty
Sixtus - Peach
Since Sixtus looks extremely like King I think it's only fitting if his scent is close to King's as well
Peaches symbolizes longevity
Belte - Jasmine
Belte gives Helbram energy and he kinda looks like him too so his scent also needs to give Helbram energy
Jasmine stands for purity, simplicity, modesty and strength.
Zana and Zillian - Blackberry and Raspberry
Since they're twins I want their scents to match
Blackberries are mild, sweet and slightly acidic scent, with earthy and woody nuances.
Some believed that blackberries contain properties of abundance and prosperity
Raspberries are fruity, sweet and slightly acidic
Raspberries are symbol of kindness in Christian art.
Tioreh - Pink Hyacinth
Phao - Lily of the Valley
Tumblr media
Symbol of purity, joy, love, sincerity, happiness and luck,
Has a floral and green scent, with fresh and slightly sweet notes
I want one of Kiane's kids scents to come from the earth, something underground. There's an underground Orchid but it smells bad so that won't do so I specifically looked for a flower that has an earthy scent. I also want it to be PINK for Tioreh
Tumblr media
Sweet, robust, and earthy
Pink hyacinths symbolize playful joy.

An Ode to the Dust and the Potholes of India
Inside India’s most beautiful state, Kerala, is its most beautiful town: Kodanchery, my hometown of dusty streets and polluted corners. (I think if you told some Indians burning plastic is bad, they would throw their personalities into the fire just to be spiteful).
Kodanchery is loud and, as with every town in India, filled with rickety old shops. There’s the fish shop where my brother would live if he could. I’m sure the owner would quite like him to because there’s nothing that lights up his face as much as hearing my brother’s foreign English inside his smelly shop.
Then there’s the open market stalls my achachan limps along, browsing for fruits and vegetables. They’re gathering with fruit files, but no one seems to care. It’s nothing that can’t be fixed with a wash anyway.
Today, my cousins are home for the weekend and working away in their father’s “teashop” I guess you could call it. The shop is small but about six tables are shoved in there anyway. Like all "teashops” in my little state, there are no windows or doors, just the open, inviting front and spluttering fans whirling away. As we sit, my aunt comes from the small kitchen with a smile. She has my brother’s egg puffs, my neyyappam and all our chai in hand already. The snacks are held in a heated shelf just steps away from us, but she plates them anyway.
In another life, we would make the 30-minute trek home on foot and my achachan would spend the entire time talking about the importance of daily exercise. In this life, his grotesquely swollen leg will bid us to call our other uncle. My ‘papapa’ picks us up in the autorickshaw he’s had as long as I’ve known him and achachan gives the lecture as we bump along.
A later day, I will drive along our neighbourhood with my dad, learning the frustrations of manual. We skitter along the asphalt road, avoiding the edges that lead to unsupervised pits (there are many of them) and turn left at the small “Cross N’ Church” (it sounds better in Malayalam). The forest of rubber trees that give our little neighbourhood its livelihood rise above us and drip with white. We go over roads that might make my friends in New Zealand faint at the sheer sight and laugh about the time we crossed the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu––how the potholes and eroded asphalt disappeared in the blink of an eye.
On the way back, I wave to the house on the hill where my Malayalam teacher lives. Her guard dogs bark at us, and in the evening, when I go over to learn my mother tongue, the aggression will startle me. In a couple of weeks, I will start to smile at their roar. Today, I think they were cute—very cute.

Went to visit my parents, which often means checking my childhood art. A lot of it is very hard to scan, because it has faded away so much with the years, but I'll try to digitally enhace the contrast, and share some later.
Ancient art from 2002, from some clearly Jungle Book inspired comic series I did back in my preteen and teen days. Why yes, I'm old.
The gray wolf, Asta, actually made it to the very early dA days!
---
Some history:
Back in 1995 or 96, as a kid, I asked for this book as a birthday gift: https://http2.mlstatic.com/D_NQ_NP_842587-MLA27484653922_062018-O.webp . I was obsessed with tigers back then (with foxes before that!) and well, there was a tiger on the cover, plus tiger info inside the book. It detailed the fauna of each continent, and while my most visited section was Asia, I remember being saddened to see that South America, where I live, has the least amount of pages of all. It mentioned being the most biodiverse continent, but it still made a point to describe our fauna as "lacking in large animals". This bothered me, back then.
Those days, I lived where I was born, in the Argentine North-East. In the humid Chaco region, which is insanely biodiverse, and even more so back in the 90's, when it was less urbanized than it is today. Now, I've been living in the South-West, AndinoPatagonico forest region for almost one decade and half. A less biodivrse area, albeit rich in regional endemisms.
In my childhood, I'd turn rocks and wood pieces just to check the diversity of all sort of invertebrates below (and yes, it was often very gross). I'd also pick flowers, fruits and herbs apart, to see how they were built.
I also remember the absolutely insane diversity of frogs and reptiles, not to mention the birds (which sadly I'd not look at much , in my childhood) that could be found in our patio... it was a given, and only in retrospective I come to appreciate the insane amount of species, I know I'd have a field day nowadays!
Anyway: my childhood house and town/area were insanely formative to me, when it comes to appreciating local/South American fauna, even if I started out with Asian-based characters.
And yes, I had a ringed-tail Lemur character way before the Madagascar franchise existed. He was, of course, created after getting that book (character was created in '97 or '98). My logic back then was, Asia and specifically India shared a lot of species with Africa (rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, etc) so, why not lemurs? Getting a wee bit older (read: teens) I decided the lemur was an escaped former pet or whatever, but never adressed it in the comics becuase I didn't care.
So yeah. Always fun to revisit childhood art! I was 15-16 in 2002.

GF Fanfic - Fallout
Dipper and Mabel Vs. The Past (42,392 words) by darkspine10
Chapters: 9/9
Fandom: Gravity Falls
Rating: Teen and Up
“Now… pull.”
Bang!
The crackers burst open all around the dinner table as the Pines family pulled them apart in unison. At the head of the table, Dipper cheered. “Wahey! Nice one, Merrise.”
She was clutching the larger half of the paper cracker, eagerly pulling out the gift inside. She found a green paper crown and put it on. It fit snugly on her bald head. She continued rummaging around. “Ooh, there’s a little spinning top.” She flicked her wrist, sending the wooden toy careening past her plate of turkey slices. Dipper grabbed it as it fell off the edge of the table.
“It’s a dreidel actually, but close enough.” He sent it going again so it spun in place between himself and Merrise. Wendy, sitting in her high-chair beside her sister, was transfixed by the spinning motion.
Dipper’s own dinner plate was loaded down with dumplings and a noodle dish, the same as his sister’s. Pacifica and Merrise’s grandparents had the same as her, turkey alongside mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables, while Zera was sustained on a plate that consisted entirely of sushi. When asked by Mrs Pines if that was akin to cannibalism, Zera had simply flashed her pearly whites and bitten down on a shrimp puff.
Zera was now holding the floppy remains of the cracker she’d pulled with Mabel, looking at it like something was missing. She’d got the short end. “What are these things anyway?”
“It’s a human seasonal tradition, in some parts of the planet at least,” Pacifica explained. She was sitting opposite, wearing a contented tipsy grin. The Christmas sherry she’d partaken in was already having an effect. “Forget about it. You’ll learn the ropes soon enough. I mean, I needed Mason to explain what taxes were when I was 17 for crying out loud, there’s always something new to discover.”
“It’s not a human tradition. It’s an old family tradition!” Mr Pines thumped his chest, and Mrs Pines and the twins gave a chorus of ‘Pines!’. “Some of Mary’s older generations lived in London before emigrating and they brought it over with them.”
“Humans are weird,” Merrise giggled, drawing a smile from her aunt Zera and lighthearted complaints from everyone else sitting around the table.
Dipper hushed them all by clinking a fork against his glass. “Quiet down everyone. If I could have a moment of your time-”
“Boo, no speech!” Mabel jeered. “We did that last time we met up. No talk, only eat!”
“I won’t be long Mabes, jeez.” She pouted, but quieted down nonetheless. “Thank you. On this day two years ago, Mabel, Pacifica, and myself were in India. We’d meet Zera for the first time only a few days later, and hadn’t even begun our journey into the multiverse where we met Merrise.” His thumb played with the neck of his glass. “Now to have you all here, with no disguises, fully revealed at my parents’ table, it’s… like a dream come true. Cheers!” He downed his sherry. Everyone raised their glasses in toast, though Merrise only had fruit juice to toast with. “So Merry Christmas to all of you goobers! Happy Hanukkah! Xochtil Assura Tengosa Mulakht to my daughter! Am I saying all that right, Sixer?”
“Eh, close enough, Dad,” she replied, already back to wolfing down her food. It wasn’t often she ate so readily, still coming to terms with the lingering effects of having had to scrounge for scraps and make her food last. Today must be a happy day for her indeed.
Down the table, Mr Pines had Journal 9 open and was reading snippets between each bite. Dipper had penned a new entry after they’d all got back from the power plant safely. The page was dominated by a detailed sketch of Errata “So,” he said, swallowing, “run it past me again, son. Where exactly did this fella disappear to anyway?”
Mabel flashed an annoyed look. “Dad, we agreed, no journal biz at the table until dessert.”
“Heck, I’m a curious man, pumpkin. All these stories in here are exciting. I want to soak it all up as quickly as possible.”
“There’ll be plenty of time for late-night reading later,” Mrs Pines said, as she furtively glanced at Journal 3 open on the table next to her. Mr Pines chuckled, but threw a questioning look at Dipper.
“Honestly Dad, it’s one of those things even I don’t know.”
“A vanishingly small pool, I’m sure you’d say.” Pacifica rested her chin on her steepled fingers, smugly satisfied with herself.
“I guess we were lucky,” Mabel said, spinning a pair of chopsticks around a particularly slippery noodle. “It all got wrapped up pretty nicely. Errata was made out of all of Dipper’s paranoia and conspiracy junk written in the journals, so all he had to do was get over his hang-ups and embrace a little loss of control. Errata’s chaos was the problem and the solution.”
“You could write an undergrad psychology paper about it,” Pacifica teased.
Mrs Pines gripped Dipper’s hand across the table. “I know it’s taboo to be talking about New Year’s when Christmas isn’t even halfway over, but I was wondering what your plans were? Jetting off back home?”
Zera answered first. “May and I were thinking of taking advantage of the winter weather, going on a ski trip somewhere.”
“Aunt Mabel, skiing? With her hand-eye coordination?” Merrise sniggered. “I would pay money to watch that.”
“You scamp,” Mabel said fondly. “What about you, Dip, Paz?”
“I think a few quiet days at home before the holidays end would be very pleasant,” Dipper said. “Besides, I know our job prospects are a tad fluid at the moment but Merrise has school starting up again in a few weeks. We’ve got some extracurricular homeschool lessons planned to help her catch up.”
“I have to do math, at home!” Merrise visibly slumped in her seat. “Can you believe it? I wish I could stay here in Piedmont longer.”
“And we’d love to have you,” Mrs Pines said warmly.
“Whatever happens,” Dipper said, “my new year’s resolution is to meet up with Mom and Dad way more often. Either we drive down to Piedmont or you travel up north, both work. I’ve missed having you two in my life.”
“It would be nice. Maybe you could show us some of those magical creatures you write so eloquently about in these journals.”
“Well, we’ll… take it slow.” Dipper grimaced. Telling his parents the truth seemed like an appealing idea on paper; introducing them directly was another kettle of fish. Though if his father could nonchalantly accept a Cycloptopus and his mother could be intrigued to encounter the denizens of Gravity Falls then maybe he was worried over nothing.
Mr Pines sat back in his chair. “I’d certainly love to see what I missed, catch up with all the sights from the last time I was there. Reading all about your experiences reminds me why I sent you twins there in the first place. Even back then I always felt there was something special about Gravity Falls.”
“It certainly is a special place,” Dipper said, smiling over the memories.
“Though don’t think we aren’t a little aggrieved that you didn’t come up with the idea of talking to us sooner,” Mrs Pines said, slightly harshly. “We’ve missed you the same way you’ve missed us.”
“You shouldn’t blame him too much,” Pacifica said, surprising both Mabel and Dipper with her earnestness. “He was an opinionated teenager who thought he knew best, but his heart was in the right place.”
Mrs Pines nodded. “And anyway,” she flashed a wicked grin, “I want to try out some of these magic spells Mabel keeps telling us about. They sound like a lot of fun.”
After they’d all finished eating, full of food and good spirits, the Pines retired to the living room to hand out presents. Undisturbed in the corner, Waddles and Apep wore new matching green sweaters knitted specially by Mabel for the season. They started by lavishing their attention on Merrise, since it was her first proper Christmas celebration. Her grandparents hadn’t known her interests beforehand, but she appreciated the glitter paint kit and light-up planetarium globe (with the Pines having hedged their bets and got what Dipper or Mabel probably would have enjoyed as kids, since they had nothing better to go on). Merrise had her toy T-Rex as a more personal gift in any case.
For Wendy, too young to appreciate gifts for herself, Mr and Mrs Pines supplied old baby clothes from the twins’ youth. Pacifica didn’t want to seem rude, so accepted the gifts despite her smile hiding her pain at the fact another of her kids would be doomed to poor fashion choices.
As an olive branch for the decade-long deceptions, Mabel had put together a thick scrapbook for her parents, her own equivalent to the journals. The photos within didn’t cover any of the supernatural incidents they’d encountered, but rather focused on personal moments of the last few years, giving Mr and Mrs Pines a window into the casual normality of their lives alongside magic and aliens.
With the presents all handed out, the family spent an hour regaling each other with some of their favourite dramatic events or strange creatures written in the journals, with Mabel in particular doing a complex recreation of Weirdmageddon where she provided the voices of every single person involved. Her Bill Cipher was scarily accurate to Dipper and Pacifica’s ears. Mr and Mrs Pines listened, at times enraptured and incredulous depending on the events being described. It would take them both a long time to fully process quite how weird their children’s lives had been.
As the light outside fell, Mabel had wanted to revive an old tradition of watching classic Christmas cartoon specials, but was disappointed to find that no channel was showing any she remembered. Both she and Zera ended up chilling with her dad, watching the train videos he liked to zone out too. Mabel’s eyelids closed as a steam train chugged along somewhere in snow-blanketed Europe.
Dipper kept Merrise entertained and awake by trying to explain that the seasons were reversed in the southern hemisphere, a fact that she couldn’t get her head around at first. Dipper had to resort to shining a flashlight on one of the baubles hanging from the Christmas tree to properly get the point across. By the end of the night she drifted to sleep curled up on the couch, clutching both her llama and T-rex toys tightly.
Well into the night Mabel and Zera dazzled Mr and Mrs Pines with displays of minor magic. Making small light orbs or other non-taxing spells. Dipper even added a few of his own, though his skills weren’t nearly as honed as the others. Pacifica, pleasantly hypnotised into sleep by the colourful magical lights, drifted off into a sherry coma. Zera volunteered to put Wendy to bed upstairs, herself ready to sleep after all showing off her magic all evening.
In the end the twins were left awake with their parents. For the first time in ages they were together as they’d been all those years ago. Dipper kept himself from falling asleep by sketching the scene in the living room, capturing the Christmas tree, his sleeping wife and daughter, Mabel crouching on the floor, and his parents sitting side-by-side. He knew this moment wouldn’t last forever. But tonight was long enough to appreciate it.
Dipper Pines had no more problems
Dipper Pines had told the truth.

The Flower Valley
"Akka, there is no Malli, Valli and Raju. All I can see is Alex, Bets and Peter," said Malli, closing her book with a huff. "Don't you have story books for us, the Gonds? Then we will have a Malli who sings, a Valli who dances and Raju who is very lazy but he helps to bring fruits from the trees, so he is in my group."
Y/n chuckled and patted Malli's head gently. "Don't worry, I will write a book for you. The title will be 'Malli, the bravest girl of the Gonds'."
Malli looked up at Y/n for a while and replied, "No. I will write a book in their language and make all those Alex, Peter and Bets read about us. Valli will write a book in our language, won't you Valli?" Valli looked up from her notebook and nodded her head.
"What will I do?" Asked a young boy who sat beside Valli, doodling in his notebook, leaving his alphabet alone in the lines.
"Climb trees and bring fruits for us while we make our tribe famous," said Malli, as she wrote a sentence which Y/n gave her to write.
Y/n laughed at the kids when Bheem slowly crept behind Valli and made a hissing sound. Valli screamed and jumped up while the rest laughed.
"Bheem Anna, this wasn't funny."
Bheem laughed and held his ears, saying, "Okay, I am sorry. Go and do your studies while I take your teacher out on a trip."
"Where are we going?" Y/n asked.
"A beautiful place."
"Okay, but where is it? How far is it? You know I have to come back to look at the kids. Raju spends his time doodling and hardly studies while Valli gets distracted when I am not there and-" Bheem kept a finger on her lips. "Ssh. The children will be fine. You need a break too, sweetheart."
"Ooh, Bheem anna, what is this? Prema?" Raju, being the brat he was, wiggled his eyebrows at Bheem while Malli hit his head. "Study, Raju!"
Bheem grabbed Y/n's hand and waved at the three children. "Bye bye kids."
******
The evening sky blushed in hues of red, pink with a slight purple streak as the sun turned to set and make way for dusk and the moon who was slowly emerging with each passing second.
The two of you lay there amidst the flowers. Bheem plucked a rose and showered its petals on your face while you giggled at him. He then turned around to get some jasmine flowers and carefully placed each one of them in your hair.
"You make the flowers appear beautiful, Y/n." Bheem paused from adorning your hair with flowers and looked at you, his eyes gently gazing into yours with all the warmth and love he had in his heart for you. "With you, every day feels as if it's spring. Wherever you go, the flowers bloom, when you smile, the sun shines and when you sleep under the sky, the moon hides away because you are prettier than the moon."
Y/n placed her palm on his cheek and traced his cheekbone. "I am not good at giving such poetic lines to my lover, but I love you, Bheem. Sometimes, I wonder what if we both had never met and I would have lost the chance to be friends with you and then I wouldn't have experienced this beautiful feeling of love and affection. You are my spring, Bheem."
Bheem's eyes lit up and a smile curved over his lips as he bent down to kiss her. She had shared her first kiss with him on the night he left to save Ram after learning the truth from Seetha. She did not know if he would come back alive so she decided to tell him about her feelings for him, not caring about her timing and the situation. Bheem that night thus, had made two promises.
The first promise was to Seetha that he would bring back Ram to her and the second promise was to Y/n that he would definitely come back to her alive and then he would kiss her every day.
Both of them amidst the flower bushes and the grassy plains lay tangled with each other. They had some time left before they got busy to get back to Delhi and join the others and fight for India's freedom.
Y/n's soft lips met Bheem's who slid his arm around her waist and used his free hand to move his fingers through her luscious locks which he had decorated with flowers. The flowery bushes spread their fragrance throughout the valley and they both were lost in their own world of love and bliss.
*****
Bheem kept his head on her chest and whispered, "I think jasmines suit you, Y/n."
Y/n ran her nails over Bheem's broad back and sighed, "If you pluck another flower to put on my body, I am going to leave you here now. And yes, I am serious."
"Yes, you can proceed. I am not going to give you your clothes. Go back like that to the village with flowers, my flower queen."
Y/n lightly hit his chest and laughed. "And then everyone will know what you did to me in the flower valley. But now, let's rest here. It feels nice."
"Everything feels nice with you. Always."

I have been following your blog since long, I am blessed. I am attracted to the way you chose to remain consecrated for the Lord. Please, help me find an answer for this. I have an unusual anger and bitterness towards those who are grieving the Holy Spirit, I am not able to forgive them and sometimes I am so deeply wounded, I end up mourning for days together. Is this positive or negative? How do I fight with this. I am serving the Lord in one of the toughest places in India, my husband and I, pastor a church.
Thank you for being here, and I've definitely made poor choices in my life, but I am grateful for God's grace and his remaining with me.
It's hard to see those we care about (in the body of Christ) grieve the Holy Spirit. It's painful because we know what sin does in our hearts and our lives and what it does in someone's walk with God. We long for them to be reconciled and to walk with him in Spirit and in truth, because we care for their very soul. I think this is where you are coming from. Bitterness and anger does sound like your desire for their walk with Christ is being turned into something negative. I think we do get angry at sin so to speak; God hates sin (because he loves us) and when his Holy Spirit is within us we hate it, too. I hope and pray your heart is longing for reconciliation for these people, because anger and bitterness won't set them aright. The Lord has to. I would intercede in prayer for them and confess your own sin to the Lord. I had to do this, this morning for someone I have felt very hurt by for the last few weeks. I pray for God to forgive me (I am not without sin myself), I tell the Lord I forgive them (despite whatever I feel), and I pray for their repentance and to turn from their ways against God's Word and grieving his heart as they continue in sin. It's because of love- it comes from a heart of love, although I may feel "anger" at them sometimes or bitterness at the situation. I am responsible before the Lord to confess my sin before him, to intercede for professing brothers and sisters in Christ (God knows where they are if saved or not- because if they live in unrepentant sin willingly and with zero conviction- even excusing it/condoning it...I just don't see Scriptural support they are his, God disciplines those he loves, we long to obey eventually, we know when we are grieving him), and I submit those passionate feelings in my heart that are hurt or grieved to the Lord. I have to. No one else can help them but the Lord; I pray to not be sinful in my responses to what breaks my heart.
That is wonderful your husband pastors a church in India. May the Lord strengthen you, provide for you, comfort you all around, and be your support and strong tower in the midst of brokenhearted grief of what you see around you. May the Lord convict the hearts of these professing believers and bring them to repentance, bring forth a fruitful life from a barren field, and set them free. We pray for freedom for the captives and sight for the blind. May God bless you, sister.

Ferment Brewing announces their first-ever lineup of year-around releases, including 12° Pils and India Pale Ale.

Press Release
May 23, 2023 — Today Ferment Brewing announces its first-ever lineup of year round beers in cans — a selection of five fan favorite beers. The two newest-to-can offerings, 12° Pils and India Pale Ale, are also the first recipes Brewmaster Dan Peterson wrote for Ferment and remain his favorites. Joining them are three well-loved beers previously available as rotating seasonals — Hana Pils, Lost in Fragaria, and Nitro Dry Stout.
Each can in the year-round lineup is digitally printed, as Ferment has officially made the switch from labeled cans in order to reduce the brewery’s environmental impact; printed labels can cause issues with the recyclability of aluminum cans.
“Each of these beers are special to me in their own way so this is a really exciting moment for me and our team,” said Dan Peterson. “Nitro Stout, 12° Pils and the India Pale Ale are beers that I opened the brewery with and the latter two are finally getting their time to shine in cans. Hana Pils and Lost in Fragaria were more experimental and I wasn’t sure how’d they do, but the recipes turned out fantastic and their popularity continues to grow. I’m really happy that now drinkers around the Pacific Northwest can grab these beers year round no matter where they live.”
12° Pils is a Czech-style lager with malted barley from Bohemia, harmonized with Saaz hops from Czechia, and naturally soft, pure spring water from the base of Mt. Hood. In addition to new 16oz can 4-packs, Ferment’s taproom is now serving the beer in Czech-style mugs from side pull tap for a smoother pour and foamier head.
India Pale Ale is carefully crafted and left unfiltered to fully express a medley of ingredients from England and the Pacific Northwest. Rahr malt, Simpson malt, and wheat form a base that is biscuity and lightly sweet. A dry hopping of Cascade, Crystal, and Mosaic hops come together with East Kent Golding and Fuggle hops to impart an herbaceous and complex aroma of peach, tangerine, and red cedar without being buried by bitterness.
Brewed with toasted rice for a slight nuttiness, Hana Pils is a Japanese-style rice lager with flavor layers of wildflower, fruit blossom, and melon. This crisp and clean lager clocks in at 4.8% ABV and is available in 12oz 6-pack cans.
Lost in Fragaria is a bright pink, full-bodied sour ale, bursting with 28 pounds of Oregon strawberries per barrel and a subtle dry-hop charge of Hull Melon hops. This deliciously refreshing beer is 5.6% and available in 12oz 6-pack cans.
Nitro Dry Stout, Dan Peterson’s favorite shift beer, is a 4.5% ABV easy sipper with a delicate roast quality, inspired by the midnight black ales of Dublin. Give the 16oz can a decent shake before pouring into a tall glass for a beautiful cascading nitro effect.
All five beers are available throughout Ferment’s distribution channels in Oregon and Washington.

4 Gipsies Started My Pahadi Dukan From Zero, Now Funded By OYO Founder Ritesh Agarwal Along With Many Others
The summit is what drives us, but the climb itself is what matters.”  – Conrad Anker.
The mountains possess an enchanting allure that beckons to our souls, murmuring captivating tales of adventure and unexplored possibilities. And this very pull leads some to places where they transform their lives and even impact thousands of others. For one remarkable individual hailing from an average and humble background, the magnetic pull of the Himalayas proved irresistible, leading him on an extraordinary journey and he named it “my Pahadi dukan”.
The story of Himanshu Dua, who happens to be the co-founder and CEO of “My Pahadi  Dukan,” which is a unique e-commerce store, is one of those real stories that have origins in the mountains and have impacted thousands of individuals living in the remotest areas of the Himalayas. It deserves to be told to the world.
Tumblr media
It is the story of Himanshu Dua and his three friends, who were wandering to find motivation, and they found their life goal in the mountains. Today, he and his three friends, Shubham Tandon, Mohammed Anas Zubair, and Rohan Sehgal, have created a platform called ” My Pahadi Dukan” where people from far away in the mountains are able to showcase their products not only to the people living in India but also to an international audience and make a better living.
Tumblr media
The Journey of Himanshu Dua from a Student to “My Pahadi Dukan “ Founder
Dua belongs to Bahadurgarh, which is a small town in Haryana. He graduated from the botany field and holds a master’s degree in forensic science from Delhi University. However, since his childhood, he has been exposed to travel. During his school days, he got the opportunity to visit Leh, Ladakh.
The awe-inspiring landscapes of Leh and Ladakh seemingly whisper their enchantment to him, forever captivating his heart and igniting and seeding an unwavering passion for their tranquil beauty and the simple people living there.
A Prodigy of our own, Phunsukh Wangdun( AKA “3 Idiots” famous character) institute
Apart from his degrees, he has also done 2 fellowships at the Himalayan Institute of Alternative Ladakh(HIAL), which is famous for its founder, Sonam Wangchuk, the person on whom the fictional character of Phunsukh Wangdun in the 2009 film ‘3 Idiots was conceptualized and played by Mr. Perfectionist Amiri Khan. It seems “Himanshu” took the lesson “Knowledge ke piche bhago, success jak marte huye piche aayegi” (Gain knowledge and success will come automatically) seriously and put his soul and sweat into finding something where he can make a difference in people’s lives.
Tumblr media
How did the Idea of My Pahadi Dukan come into existence
Tumblr media
So he came up with the idea of opening an e-commerce store dedicated to selling these hidden treasures from remote villages to domestic and international customers. This idea was original and had the power to transform people’s lives by allowing them to earn money simultaneously.
Tumblr media
Himanshu and his co-founders felt it was a great opportunity to create something sustainable and profitable. Naturally, their first motivation was to create something to help people living in these regions. And boy, have they delivered? Today, their startup has the backing of IIT Mandi Catalyst, Mr. Ritesh Agarwal from Oyo Rooms at IIM Kashipur, and they have secured financing from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare.
What products do they sell, and where are they sourced from?
Tumblr media
The platform has a customer satisfaction rate of almost 98%, and they are able to dispatch their products all over the world, including India, because of their unique style of working, where they take preorders as well as deliver fruits and other products in good shape by using vacuum -free packing.
Tumblr media
What is” My Pahadi Dukan “  aiming for in the future?
Tumblr media
He concedes that there are challenges, and maintaining a business is not a small task. However, he thinks his ideas are noble, his efforts are honest, and he will accomplish his targets in the future. And he has no reason not to think in this manner and aim for the sky. Because his passion is pure and his purpose is noble, and with the knowledge and support of partners and co-workers, “My Pahadi Dukan” will undoubtedly fly high.

CITRUS FAMILY
Where do citrus fruits come from?
All of the citrus fruits are from the family Rutaceae. This family is also known as the rue family and contains flowering plants that generally have a strong scent. The genus Citrus includes oranges, grapefruits, limes and lemons. These fruits have been cultivated since ancient times. They have probably originated from Australia, New Caledonia and New Guinea, although some research points to them originating in Southeast Asia. Many of the species are hybrids and there is speculation that even the wild true-breeding species are actually hybrids originally.
What do citrus fruits do?
All of the citrus fruits are noted for their fragrance. This is due to limonoids and flavonoids (both of which have strong antioxidant and antibacterial properties). They can help prevent kidney stones, as they contain high levels of citrate. Lemons are the highest, drinking diluted lemon juice daily has been shown to decrease kidney stone formation.
The vitamin C content of citrus fruits is legendary, and regular consumption has been found to decrease your cardiovascular and heart disease risks, whilst increasing life expectancy. Vitamin C is also a natural anti-histamine, preventing histamine release and aiding in its detoxification.  Vitamin C functions as an antioxidant, reducing oxidative stress.
How do I use citrus fruits?
Use the peel! It’s full of antioxidants and can help fight free radicals, balance blood sugar levels and support thyroid health. You can buy candied peel for desserts here.
Juice, have a look at our smoothie and juice recipes.
Mix with water, a slice or 2 of a citrus fruit in hot water first thing in the morning will help to alkalise your system and aid in cleansing.
What fruits do Real Foods sell from the citrus family?
Tumblr media
Lemons are probably a hybrid between a bitter orange (C. Aurantium) and a citron (C. Medica). Although it could be a hybrid involving limes! They contain high amounts of citric acid, around 5-6% of total weight. Initially discovered in India, lemons were avilable during the Roman Empire's heydays but were not widely cultivated until the Arabs introduced them into Italy in the 8th century.  Colombus took them to America and it was then that their amazing effects on scurvy were noticed. They are highly valued for their juice and high vitamin C content.
Limes - C. Aurantifolia are so called because they have long been confused with lemons. The name is derived from ‘limun’. The 2 most popularly cultivated limes are the Mexican or key Lime and the Persian lime. Limes were unknown in Europe before the crusaders and were probably imported from Palestine after Arabs had introduced them there. Their incredible flavour and high essential oil content is used widely in cooking and is popular for marinades.
Tumblr media
Tangerines – C. Tangerina is probably derived from C. Oculata. Less sour and sweeter than oranges, the name is derived from Tangiers which grew them widely at one time. The red-orange skin is usually what separates them from mandarins.
Satsumas – C. Unshiu are probably of Japanese origin and are very easy to peel. Sweet, their nickname the “Christmas orange”  is because they are very popular as Christmas treat in the U.K.
Sweet oranges are known as Citrus Sinensis and are a hybrid between a pomelo (C. grandi s or C. maxima) and a mandarin (C. reticulata). There is no history of the orange being grown in the wild and it’s thought to have been selected in China or northern India from their cultivation of mandarins and pomelos. Oranges have been grown from at least 2500 B.C.E in China.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia) are a hybrid between lemons and oranges (it’s why they’re sometimes called orange  bergamot and others  call them lemon bergamots).  They are relatives of sour oranges and are famously unpalatable. Similar to Seville in the sense they are prized for their zest, their flavour and pith for marmalade making and their scent. They do not taste very nice however! Bergamots are only available occasionally through the year.

10-step Korean skincare routine products
It is not unknown that Korean skincare is considered one of the best skincare products in the world. We, at BeautyTalk, bring to you the best Korean beauty products that are suitable for all skin types. We have products that are best for dry, oily, acne-prone, or dull skin.
A very famous 10-step Korean skincare routine is making all the noise recently. Here we will share this skincare routine and also recommend you a 10 step Korean skincare routine kit India, specifically for dry skin.
Step 1: Apply an oil-based Cleanser
Use an oil-based cleanser to get rid of dirt, make-up, SPF, and impurities. The oil-based cleanser also leaves your skin smooth and moisturized. It is important to ensure that no makeup or impurities are left on your face at the end of the day. This is where the cleanser comes in.
Suitable for all skin types, our Juice to Cleanse Grain Water Cleaning Oil is a soft moisturizing cleanser. It is formulated with 95% of skin conditioning natural ingredients for beauty salon treatment results. In addition to cleaning, it also provides pore care and gentle dead skin cell removal due to the presence of lemon and papaya fruit extracts.
Step 2: Use a Water-Based Cleanser
The second step of the Korean skincare routine is using a water-based cleanser. It is important to remove anything that might cause pimples. It makes your skin clean and grime-free.
Perfect for all skin types, our Juice To Cleanse Calming Clean Water is a low-pH cleansing water that dissolves and melts away makeup without disturbing the skin's delicate moisture barrier. It removes any dirt and impurities on the face. Its coconut fruit and aloe leaf juices make the skin feel calm, soothed, and nourished.
Step 3: Exfoliate
Exfoliating helps to clean pores and remove dead skin cells. Thus brightening and smoothening your skin. However, unlike cleansing, exfoliating is not to be done daily. Exfoliate your skin only once or twice a week. For sensitive skin, we recommend exfoliating only once a week.
For blemish-free skin, try our SKINFOOD Pineapple Peeling Gel which contains cellulose particles and AHA found in apples. It effectively exfoliates dry skin and eliminates sebum in pores. Pineapple, aloe, and purslane extracts cultivate a skin that is clear and blemish-free.
Step 4: Apply a Toner
The next step in the Korean skincare routine is applying toner. Toners help in preparing the skin for the next skincare routine steps. Dab it gently on your skin with your fingers or using cotton. They also help in maintaining the pH level of your skin.
Use our It's Skin Collagen Nutrition Toner that repairs dry, dull, and rough skin. It helps to improve skin elasticity and firmness. It has a liquid and creamy texture that also helps with wrinkles and fine lines.
Step 5: Use a Face Essence
The use of a face essence is forgotten. Essence does the work of both a toner and serum. Additionally, it also hydrates the skin and helps in repairing any skin damage. It also acts as an anti-aging agent.
Our COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a lightweight essence that gives the skin a natural and long-lasting glow. It protects the skin from moisture loss and makes it smooth and healthy. It also soothes damaged skin.
Step 6: Use a Serum
Once you apply a face essence, your skin gets ready to absorb serums and boosters. Serums help in boosting the elasticity of your skin, reducing acne, and providing smooth and glowing skin.
Try our It's Skin Hyaluronic acid serum which is a moisture-binding humectant that plumps skin with lasting hydration and optimizes collagen levels for a younger appearance. This Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum is lightweight and has all the nutrient-dense benefits. It provides soft and moisture-rich skin. With a soothing lavender scent, it heals skin with each use and gives long-term results.
Step 7: Apply a Sheet Mask
The 10-step Korean skincare routine made sheet masks extremely popular. It began the chatter about sheet masks around the globe. Similar to exfoliating, this step is also to be done once or twice a week. Sheet masks brighten, hydrate, and eliminate acne.
Use our Mask Sheet For Dry Skin that comes in three variants — Cabbage, broccoli, and paprika. Packed with moisturizing nutrients, these masks serve all the hydrating goodness and provide vitality to the skin.
Step 8: Apply an Eye Cream
Eye cream is something that most people don't use. This habit needs to be changed. The skin around your eyes is very sensitive and delicate. So using an eye cream regularly removes puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines and wrinkles.
Our It's Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Eye Cream is suitable for all skin types, prevents aging, and moisturizes. It gives a youthful appearance to the eyes.
Step 9: Moisturize
We don't think we need to explain the importance of moisturizing your skin. Moisturizers help in repairing your skin, keeping your skin smooth, and providing it with the necessary moisture, which ultimately results in bright and glowing skin.
For dry skin, using a moisturizer is a must. Our One Thing Moisture Plus Cream is a deeply hydrating and firming moisturizer. It improves skin health and adds a glow. It uses green tea leaf water and birch juice extract as its base to provide hydration and maximize the skin-soothing effect. It works from the inside to protect the skin against a polluted environment.
Step 10: Apply a Sunscreen
The last step in the 10-step Korean skincare routine is layering your skin with SPF. Sunscreen is something that you should apply regardless of whether you are staying at home or going out, or whether it is summer or not. Sunscreen protects your skin from UV rays and prevents the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Suitable for all skin types, I'm Cover Bb Sunstick is a perfect UV blocker that also tones up the skin. It repairs blemishes while also brightening the skin. It has a powdery texture with a no-shine finish that stays matte for a long time. It is unisex and covers your dark spots.

Intersection between astrology and psychology
Tumblr media
Where did our courtship with our psyche begin?
Healing has been part of the human lifestyle from the start of time, and now no longer only for bodily troubles. Shamans and non-secular leaders presented intellectual and emotional help at the same time as serving as a manual or middleman to extra wisdom. I listened intently as human beings attempted to make experience their existence with the aid of using trying to the standard and divine for hope, comfort, and direction. Scholars at some stage in historic Greece, China, India, and the Middle East idea that thoughts managed our feelings and behaviour, in addition to a few factors of bodily health.
The phrase psychology comes from the Greek phrase psyche, which means “the human soul, thoughts, or spirit.” Plato coined the term “psyche” to characterize human motivations, thoughts, and actions. Modern psychologists are nonetheless encouraged with the aid of using Aristotle’s Para Psyche and its tenants on human reasoning. Thoughts and the soul have been thought to be intertwined, components of a bigger whole, and have the potential to cause humans’ unique connection to standard forces. Spirit and soul have been removed from the equation very lately, all through the clinical Age of Reason, and the study of the psyche has become technological know-how dedicated completely to the mind and behaviour.
As psychology laboured to increase attractiveness amongst scientists, it has driven away from the airy heart and spirit in favour of logical mechanisms that might without difficulty guide customer development and development.
Astrology: Bringing the magic lower back into psychotherapy
Scott Miller, a psychotherapist, lately proposed the speculation that “psychotherapy misplaced its mojo” as an explanation for the career’s international decline all through the previous couple of decades. In the Fifties and 1960s, psychology was at its peak, and at the same time as all and sundry regarded having a therapist in the Eighties and 1990s, customers in the new millennium are searching out the means and motives of psychoanalysis. The gift tendency withinside the Western global has modified far from organised faith and towards gaining knowledge of a way to provide motive and importance to our lives past our bodily bodies. Humans are all over again achieving out to the Universe.
This is where astrology comes in; it permits us to reintroduce the soul into psychology. The astrological landscape’s metaphorical richness gives a fruitful ground for self-exploration and attractiveness. Carl Jung, one of the founding fathers of present-day psychology, without difficulty included astrology into his information about human thoughts and the way we access, revel in, and combine subconscious material into consciousness. He compared it to mythology, a way to delve into topics in customers’ existences which are each intensely private but linked up with the bigger revel in of what it means to be human.
Understanding your sensitivity to precise private dynamics within the environment, inclusive of your own circle of relatives’ styles and romantic interactions, may be aided with the aid of consulting your start chart. It can also be used to characterise attachment types and attitudes in relationships. Rather than, in reality, beginning as much as a therapist, astrology can help customers extra without difficulty getting access to their subconscious. Labelling and using a “one-size-fits-all” method ought to be averted with the aid of a therapist. Deeper insights, self-awareness, information, and compassion can blossom without difficulty while astrology begins to evolve the dialogue.
Going deeper with healing patterns
When astrology is used together with a remedy, it gives a way to delve below those goals and impulses and confront the shadow side. It can be, by investigating what drives dramatic impulses and exploring earlier occurrences that have induced a loss of confidence, a key subject matter in their lives for the Leo-ascendant customer. A therapist can use the Scorpio-moon customer as a springboard to discover why manipulation equals protection for them and the way earlier occasions have made the vulnerability experience like a death sentence.
Examining the reasons at the back of their beneficent giving and the way growing their experience of self can also additionally make stronger emotional obstacles for a Pisces-solar customer. The symbols and ideas are identical every time, but the private lives revealed vary dramatically. We usually aim for the candy spot between the two. Astrology additionally permits therapists to attain emotions or minds that customers can be ashamed to discuss, making them unwilling to do so. Personally, I’m going in a healing direction with wrath, which is symbolised in my start chart with the aid of using a robust Mars signature. I’m interested in customers who’ve been in a comparable situation.
Early in their lives, a few customers have been told they were too robust or confident, and that they sought to suppress their assertiveness, only to have it reappear in unmanageable ways. Others have assumed there’s something incorrect with them once they appear in the reflection of the human beings-attractive world they stay in. Others have experienced adolescent trauma and are best acquainted with unfavourable methods of expressing rage. The easy act of normalising anger has amazing restorative potential. It motivates them to be aware of their anger alerts sooner. For a person who has spent their entire existence ignoring or burying their anger alerts, gaining knowledge of the fundamentals of anger’s feature in growing identification and setting up wholesome obstacles is a game-changer.
It’s a two-method avenue.
In exchange, psychology gives astrology some value. Astrologers recognise that if you’re within the enterprise of foretelling the future, it’s all amazing while you’re forecasting optimism and opportunity. However, if troubles are anticipated or loss is anticipated, it is possible to be both calm and clinical with the data or sugar-coat the whole lot with fake positivism so that you can scare the patron. It’s the direction in between that permits our clients to piece together the majority of the data they’re dealing with—as we stroll with them via the method, bringing up equipment and signposts to make sure that they continue to lag gracefully and confidently. Working with numerous, not uncommon counselling strategies enriches this career for each patron and the astrologer. When the astrologer gives the thoughts in an empathic and shapely With manner and technique, the patron could have extra faith in the astrologer and trust in their very own resilience.
One such potential is energetic listening, which includes paying close attention, preserving eye contact, and selling discourse with diffused head nods. Appropriate listening is extraordinarily soothing for many human beings, and while the patron’s legend is weaved into astrological knowledge, it’s magical for all parties.
It can be pretty famous to offer a nonjudgmental home. Astrologers are a completely unique breed of dad and mom who’re continuously thinking about how power will manifest. So that it doesn’t feel like a systematic effort, this interest needs to be tempered with empathy, warmth, and the correct challenge for the human beings in front of them.
Therapy patterns lawful in your Moon command
If psychology is basically involved with the subconscious, then your moon is the location to search for help. In a one-on-one appointment with an astrologer, you’ll find out about the call and segment of your natal moon, in addition to any planetary impacts that have an effect on it. It’s probably important to factor out that studies have again and again proven that the precise version a therapist employs isn’t as essential as the connection between the therapist and the customer, which is where the assemble healing rests. Typically, therapists work with precise strategies or techniques that shape them. Finding a felony version that works for you may very well be a sign of the kind of therapist you’re interested in. Use this as a place to begin to find the most dependable remedy courting for you.
The presence of self-information
Astrology, while used as a restoration technique, can be a useful resource in the discovery of who you are and what your task is. It’s hard to place into phrases the energy of an aha moment, while you comprehend you don’t ought to try to match a rectangular peg right into a spherical hollow and may receive yourself as you’re. Astrologers are aware of this potential, and psychiatry is starting to realise it as well. Although therapists aren’t required to look at astrology, if it’s part of a customer’s manner of interacting with the universe, the use of a zodiac lens to help attractiveness and information may be beneficial.
