I think there might be an option for those who don't want to pay for the watcher streaming service.(Like me)

LET'S COMMIT PIRACY

Reason 1: piracy is free.

Reason 2: the watcher streaming service is stupid.

Reason 3: those stupid mother fuckers aren't letting paying users share passwords with more than three devices.

Reason 4: it's fun being a pirate. (Yargh)

How do we commit piracy?

First method:

There are a lot of methods and forms of piracy. I mean, there's a whole reddit dedicated to piracy. Personally I use a third party browser, an ad block, and a VPN when I watch shows. There are websites that host "definitely paid content" I literally use three of them. (And yes I am gatekeeping these websites, I've seen what happens when they get distributed. Mainly through tiktok.)

So, first method (summarized)

Third party browser

Ad block

VPN

Readily available piracy websites.

Pros:

It's easy!

Cons:

Pesky pop up ads! (I'm not interested in boobs or hot women in my area! I just want to re-watch Bob's burgers!)

There's a heightened risk of obtaining a virus on your device.

Second method:

The second method is a little easier and has a reduced risk of downloading a virus on your device.

Google drive video downloads.

So I found out about this method back in 2022 when I was trying to find a way to watch season 3 of Lego monkie kid early. (I know it's cringe and embarrassing) Basically, on the monkie kid Reddit, there were users distributing a Google drive file with all the season 3 lmk episodes, I downloaded the file and watched all the episodes. I would consider this method pretty risk free since it involves downloading content (in this case the pay walled watcher content) and uploading it to a Google drive. The only con I can think about in regards to this method is the potential lack of constant updates.

So, the second method (summarized)

Google drive file

Download videos from streaming service.

Upload downloaded videos to the Google drive file.

Distribute the Google drive among interested users/viewers.

Pros:

Reduced risk of obtaining a virus on your device! :D (yippee!)

Reduced watcher streaming service profits! (This reason can apply to both methods)

Cons:

Potential lack of constant updates. (This can probably be avoided if the Google drive is treated as a community effort among users.)

Anyways, just in case the FBI or whatever monitors Tumblr sees this, this is just a satirical post, I have never committed piracy. I pay for all the content I watch. This post is quite literally a written yapping session.

re: your latest jack post, I think this is one of the most important aspects of his character as a kind of embodiment of the age & class he belongs to. he has ambitions and aspirations, he wants to be be a known name, he wants to be admired, but that in the world he inhabits one cannot get swept up in those desires. he's kind of tragic in that way? he's the perfect pirate (contending with barbossa for the title) because he knows when to give it all up and when to remain anonymous and blend into the crowd. up to the very end of the trilogy he remains the face of every faceless rougue of the pirate golden age. take all you can and give nothing back right? he wants everything and knows what he can take is ultimately very little.

YARGH YEAH YOU GET IT I esp wanna focus on what you said about him contending with barbossa for best pirate because the two of them really fall into these wildly different approaches to getting what they want like we get this pointed out in esp cotbp but while jack always tries to use his wits or whatever barbossa is much more comfortable just using force and I think it makes for such an interesting contrast between the two

ok some Free Range bnha thoughts. I think I left off around 300 when I paused reading it week to week so I started at 290 to Refresh. obviously, spoilers below the cut , but I'm not saying anything that hasnt been said b4 probably. just My Thoughts. turns out I wasn't like, 80 chapters behind but roughly 30-40, which is. -im sure ppl have figured out theories about this before but, something about the way they phrased it when they were wondering why afo needed tomuras rage (and why he was always smiling, implying smth is Fucking Wrong with Him, besides all the Murder and Crimes) had me like. hm. are we.. actually going to get more afo backstory at all or an in depth explanation for that? I'd kind of like to, even if I think its fine if we don't because we Get The Gist and idk how much the creator wants us to sympathize/understand his character beyond the ~evil demon king~ (and thats not me saying he needs anything beyond that, tbh not every villain needs it and esp not the big bad in a lot of cases) but. this story, esp in this last arc has us AND the main characters sympathizing with the villains a Lot and exploring why theyre like that, and it makes me wonder if theyll extend that to him at all, or just, keep trying to Get His Ass. And we do know togas quirk is the reason shes Like That, so it doesnt feel like a stretch to say afos quirk is why hes Like That also. (NOT ME SAYING HE NEEDS ANYTHING LIKE REDEMPTION DEAR GOD. “Come on, Dean,” you said, holding the jacket out to him. “Please? For me?”

“You look stupid anyway,” Sam said, walking by. “Might as well look stupid while wearing a fancy coat.”

“Shut up!” Dean threw his empty beer can at his brother, but Sam managed to dodge it.

You waited until Sam had left the room before sitting down next to Dean on the couch. “Please, Dean? Do it for me?”

Dean studied your face before dropping his eyes to the garment in your hands. “What else is there besides the coat?”

You picked up the bag, rifling through it. “There’s the coat, the shirt, the pants, the boots, the hat, the sash…”

“God damn, Y/N, that’s too complicated.”

“I know it’s a lot, but trust me, you’re going to look fantastic.” You paused. “Plus, you get a really cool sword.”

Dean’s eyes lit up slightly. “A sword?”

You nodded. “And there are a few other odds and ends to really tie the piece together. But nothing too major.”

Dean was quiet for a few moments. “And you’re dressing up too, right?”

You nodded. “What’s a pirate without his wench?” You could tell Dean was still on the fence. “And you know, being a pirate means you get to drink rum throughout the day.”

“Deal.”

As soon as he put the costume on, he regretted the decision. Frilly shirts and calf-high boots were not his style. And don’t even get him started on the tri-corner hat.

A knock sounded on his door as you poked your head in. “Hey.” A huge smile lit up your face. “You look great.”

“I feel ridiculous.”

You stepped into the room, shutting the door behind you. You were as beautiful in your costume as Dean was silly in his. The ‘tattered’ skirt hit you above the knee, the sleeves rode just below your shoulders, and the corset… well, the corset was doing exactly what a corset was supposed to do.

You walked over to Dean, stopping right in front of him. “I have just a few more things to complete your outfit.”

Dean grumbled slightly but nodded his consent. You held up a gold hoop and clipped it to his earlobe. “Does that pinch?”

“No. But it makes me feel…” Dean stopped his sentence, noting the look in your eye. “Just like a pirate.”

You smiled. “One more thing and then we can go. But you have to promise not to hate me for it.”

Dean narrowed his eyes. “You’ve already got me in this damn outfit. I can’t imagine how it could get worse.”

You held up a black eyeliner pencil.

“Of course. That’s how.”

“Come on. You’ll look really sexy, just like Johnny Depp.”

Dean pouted but knew it would make you happy for him to wear it. He nodded and tried not to flinch when you brought the pencil to his eye. You were gentle with your artwork and Dean didn’t complain—especially when he realized that his position gave him a wonderful view of the full effects of the corset.

“There,” you said after a few minutes, stepping back and admiring your handiwork. “All done.”

“Do I look sexy?” Dean asked, trying to imitate Jack Sparrow’s swagger.

“Incredibly sexy.”

Dean smiled, slipping his arm into yours. “Well, my lady, shall we embark on our journey?”

“Lets.”

The two of you almost made it to the garage without running into Sam, but he was lying in wait for you in the kitchen. You braced yourself for an argument between the brothers, but surprisingly, Sam laid off.

“You two look great,” he said with a genuine smile.

“Thanks,” Dean said with minimal grumbling.

Sam held up his phone and Dean tried to smack it away, but you held him back. The two of you posed for Sam, who would no doubt use the photo for blackmail against Dean at some point in the future. Then you headed for the garage and slipped into Baby, heading for the festival in your hometown.

Despite himself, Dean had fun at the festival. He even got some compliments on his costume, which made him feel less ridiculous.

As the two of you sat on the hill, watching the fireworks bursting in the evening sky, you leaned against him. “So, did you have fun?”

“I didn’t really know what to expect, but… it was still a nice day.”

You smiled up at him. “Thank you for putting up with all of this for me.”

“Of course,” Dean said. “I’d do anything for you. Even if it made me look like an idiot.”

“Mm. But you’re my idiot.”

“So you admit I look foolish in this getup?”

“It’s a different look than I’m used to. But I have to admit… that eyeliner and frilly shirt are doing things to me.”

“Oh?” Dean smirked at you. “Well, then. Perhaps this pirate and his wench should head back to their vessel and spend a little private time together.”

“Oh, yeah?”

“Yargh,” Dean said, standing and pulling you up after him.
