Hello! I don’t know if you do this but I was wondering what your thoughts were for a Yandere Lucifer Morningstar from Hazbin Hotel? I’m having trouble writing a good representation of him and would like some advice.
Honestly I'm gonna humble myself and say that it took reading someone else's post to make me like, REALLY notice the nuances of Lucifer's character
This post right here literally made me rewatch his scenes and go "oh wow he IS like DANGEROUSLY DEPRESSED"
He doesn't remember Charlie told him where she is, or what she's doing, and he can barely follow a conversation despite clearly trying to pay attention. He also just seems kind of scattered, and um, HE LITERALLY MAKES A JOKE ABOUT DYING FROM FALLING OFF THE HOTEL BALCONY like dude is making jokes about death in front of his fucking daughter, like my dudes, I think this guy is BARELY holding himself together
He clearly loves loves LOVES Charlie but he doesn't really know how to properly articulate himself and I have a feeling there's a lot he's concealing from her, and another big question is, is his depression from being cast out of Heaven, or from something to do with his missing wife, or a combination of both? Either way this man is clearly dealing with like, really bad issues. And Charlie also mentioned he wasn't around a whole lot when she was younger, so... did he have depression back then too?
So, that all said, I feel like a yandere Lucifer would almost be, potentially invigorated by his darling? Given a new lease on life? He may not be 100% his old self again but, you get him to like, 65, maybe 70% on a good day. You give him another reason to get out of bed in the morning, or afternoon, or evening or, whenever he can drag his depressed ass out of bed
Given what we currently know, I feel like a romantic yandere Lucifer would pretend to only be platonic and do his best to poorly conceal his feelings because of his whole... "can't ask his missing wife if it's ok for you to be their third" ordeal, the man still wears his wedding ring, and a platonic yandere Lucifer basically adopts you like another kid, because uh, I mean for one he apparently canonically missed a lot of Charlie's childhood, and he's also an ancient fallen angel, so he's got that age advantage on you no matter how old you are. I mean what are a few decades when he's literally thousands upon thousands upon thousands--you get the idea
Yandere Lucifer would want to stay close to you, helping watch over you, maaaaaybe being overly paranoid about you randomly disappearing and going missing For Very Obvious Reasons, and in the process he winds up being unintentionally overbearing. I mean, he did it in irritation, but he basically showed up at Charlie's hotel immediately saying it was a dump and all of HER FRIENDS were 'a bunch of losers'. He never completely pulls his punches when there's something he's displeased with, even if it has something to do with someone he loves, so his darling would get much of the same treatment. "Ohhhhh, you uh, you wanted to move across the city? That's, um, definitely a fun idea! BuuuuuUuuut, what IF, instead of doing that--", like, he tries to playfully tug you in 'the right direction' until you make him put his foot down
Hmmm... what would him losing his cool look like... well, we've already seen that he doesn't mind throwing hands and WILL KILL, but will stop if he's asked to or there's a good reason. With you, though, you're not typically going to be there to stop him from offing any rivals or bad influences, so I imagine he'd be kinda casual about it, actually! He already thinks pretty lowly of Sinners, so say he finds out you've been ditching him and Charlie to go out drinking with strangers, making new friends, maybe having a few one night stands? Yeah, some of those people definitely aren't calling you back, and Lucifer doesn't really see a problem with it. These people are kind of the worst and really don't deserve you, anyways! If anything he's helping clean up Hell for you and his daughter and keeping you safe :)
Losing his cool with YOU... I think would involve him using his powers to finally confine you, maybe even going demon mode to intimidate you into submission in a very dad-esque "now you listen HERE" kind of way. We don't really know the scope and scale of his powers but I can picture him at least being, obviously much stronger than he looks, and transforming to fly you "back home" where he puts you in your room where no one can reach you without his explicit permission (and you also can't leave~)
One second you're just drunk and jokingly defying him, teasing him, maybe even picking him up and swinging him around because you're bigger than him, to you he's just a silly little guy! Meanwhile this Grown Ass Man Who Is Also The Actual Devil is getting more than just a little frustrated you basically view him as a wacky little cartoon more than a grown man, one who has had sex and has had two wives and sired a child. You're just teasing him and stumbling around drunk when he's trying to get you to your hotel room to get to bed to sleep, like you're clearly not taking him seriously, maybe even playfully putting your hands on him (TOTALLY not riling him up in 'fun' ways) and he finally just huffs and snaps his fingers and, you're suddenly magic'd to bed! You're laying there blinking confused and he's tucking you in and chuckling that "you're such a handful!" before leaving you to sleep and somehow INSTANTLY knowing when you're up.
You ARE in his house, after all...
Not to be gross but uh..... I'm not saying "yandere Lucifer who has the power to still get a Sinner pregnant if he wanted to and you wind up fooling around with him and you're waking up with his little apple symbol on your lower tummy as one of those like hentai womb tattoos to show you're pregnant" but uhhhhhhhhhhyeah that's what I'm saying, and whether it was accidentally or intentionally, he's keeping it, and thus, keeping YOU
I just feel like he'd be very goofy and awkward and bad at hiding his feelings and being very clearly overprotective and jealous in ways everyone else but you manages to pick up on (god Alastor would have some MATERIAL) and, in a romantic/sexual setting he eventually just loses his patience with you not seeing him as a man and just gets... progressively more forward. You pop back into the Hotel after a night out and Lucifer's already hammered at the bar with Husk, stumbling up to you, hanging off of you, slurring and embarrassing himself, "You'reeeee SO pretty... like SO pretty.... do you wanna have *BELCH* you wanna fuck? Cause I LOVE to fuck, like when I FUCKED my wife to make my DAUGHTER, my wife and daughter that I have, 'cuz im a DAD, 'cuz I'm a MAN!" and you're just giggling and ruffling his hair, "You're so weird, dude ^^" and walking away while Lucifer internally screams, wondering just how DIRECT with you he's going to have to be
meanwhile Charlie is totally cool with all of this and sees this as a weird double whammy of Curing Dad's Depression + new family member and friend hurray! and she's totally actively either shipping you with her dad or aiding and abetting him in his weird attempts to absorb you into the Morningstar family

I was gonna ask a question but i honestly forgot it 😅 so just tell me something you want to rant about
If you do happen to remember what you were gonna ask feel free to do so, do not worry about spamming my inbox bc I live for that shit.
As for the rant
Transformers Rescue Bots had some of the best, kindest, and most respectful representation of neurodivergence I have ever seen in media and I'm tired of pretending it didn't.
While there are obvious complaints to be made about neurodivergent traits (especially autistic traits) usually being portrayed in media by inhuman characters like aliens or robots, this being a case of both, I feel like thats a pretty negligible sin given just how human the show makes the robots feel. (Also it was like 2011 and we were STRUGGLING for any scraps of rep anyway)
But like. The behaviors all these robots exhibit are all shit that I do that was always deemed unacceptable when I was a kid and seeing it portrayed with the level of kindness and gentleness they do in that show has me fuckin crying a little man. I wish I had actually watched it when I was younger and it was first airing because maybe if I did I would've had an easier time explaining what the hell was going on with my brain a LOT sooner.
Blades being anxious, overly sensitive, and WHOLEHEARTEDLY queer (which they had the absolute unparalleled balls to just casually confirm by having him swoon over "hunky vampires" in one episode and NOBODY commented on it. Fucking iconic) and getting so so deeply invested in the shows and movies he loves that he acts out the roles with enough passion to steel his nerves and completely flourish.
Boulder getting really confused at concepts that are basic and intuitive for most people, but still being so fucking intelligent, and never being made to feel stupid for the mix-ups, as well as just being so wholely, unabashedly in love with the planet he's found himself on, even if he doesn't understand all of it (Also apologizing to inanimate objects when he knocks them over 😭)
Chase being obsessed with rules and law because he NEEDS the structure to not fall apart at the seams, even feeling the need to fabricate a minor crime to justify using the emergency line to get a hold of the firehouse when he can't find the other bots. As well as just fully not understanding comedy (BUT TRYING HIS DAMNEDEST), taking things super literally, and having a lot of trouble with tone and expressions (even though you know just how deeply he feels All The Time).
Heatwave being desperate for attention and recognition, but completely allergic to asking for it. And honestly allergic to showing any genuine emotional responses other than aggression. The constant sarcasm and sass and defensiveness that he POORLY maintains because everyone knows that underneath that tough guy front is the loneliest robot on earth that wants to be loved SO bad but would rather jump into unicron's mouth than voice it because if he lets his guard down who knows what will happen to him or the people he cares about.
Just. All of it man. Seeing them exhibiting all these behaviors and quirks that all too often get met with poor reactions from people who don't want to deal with what they don't really get, but here they're met with patience and understanding?? It's got me fucked up. They get to be functional adults that struggle with what they have going on but still push through. They get to have unconditionally loving relationships with people that treat them with respect. And that's the kind of shit that gives me a lot of hope for folks like me because maybe some neurotypical kids that watched it picked up on what's helpful when their friend who acts like one of the bots is going through it. And maybe some neurodivergent kids watched it too and for the first time they just felt SEEN.
Okay rant over, I'm gonna go cry over some plastic robots 👍

Fuuta and Wind
I was reading this post (super interesting btw!) and I want to address Fuuta’s connection to wind!
That post brings up that Fuuta’s Twitter name is “Pazupazu_Soccer” and if you didn’t know, Pazuzu is a God of wind.
Tumblr media
More specifically, Pazuzu is the king of wind demons in Mesopotamian religion. He is believed to help and protect humans from other dangerous wind demons.
Now, that’s already painting a connection between Fuuta and Pazuzu. Some powerful and heroic person/creature that’s protecting the common folk from evil! But there’s MUCH more.
V more below the cut!! V
What is wind? Well, it’s a natural force that represents power. When it’s a simple breeze, it’s pleasant, it can bring about change such as the weather! But what happens when gusts of wind become too powerful or intense? Destruction.
Despite Pazuzu being a creature that wards of other wind demons, he too is still a wind demon. Specifically, one that was known to be destructive and powerful.
Fuuta wanted to be a hero that protects others from evil like Pazuzu! And yet, Pazuzu is a personification of the southwest winds, which associated with droughts, plagues, locust and famine.
Fuuta ends up being not much better than the people he’s attempting to punish. He is a wind demon too in the end. Like wind, Fuuta was powerful, causing destruction and ultimately, the death of a young girl.
Tumblr media
And remember Fuuta’s whole fire symbolism? Keep in mind that Pazuzu is the personification of the southern west wind. So hey, what does wind do to a fire? It helps fire spread.
Tumblr media
Fuuta wielded a fire sword, the fire being used to symbolize his justice and judgment. Fuuta, being the representation of wind, spread the flames until they were out of control.
Tumblr media
Pazuzu also had an arch rival named “Lamashtu,” known as the goddess of monsters/demons.
I’m not sure of my interpretation here but since she is the Goddess of Demons, I believe she might be a representation of those who Fuuta believes have wronged in general. Lamashtu is often associated with very evil deeds. The most famous is how she would pray on children and pregnant woman and eat them.
BUT THERES MORE.
Kajiyama Fuuta written in Kanji is “梶山 風汰”
The “ta” (汰 )in “Fuuta” is pretty straightforward. It means "select," or “scour.” Scour means to clean something by rubbing it really hard. Pretty much what Fuuta is trying to do in a way. Trying to remove the scum, the dirt, plaguing society.
Bring it On quote: “I give up. Need to make it clean since it’s so dirty.”
However the “Fuu” (風 )in Fuuta’s name means “wind.” Sound familiar?
Another fun fact I want to share! From my knowledge, I believe in Japan, “Fuu” is the sound of blowing on something to cool it down. Hmm, now where have I heard that?
Tumblr media
Salamander!!
A part of the lyrics in the song is
“Make sure to cool it down so you don’t get burned!”
And in Romaji, it’s:
“chanto fuu shite yakedo shitakunai nara”
Yup!! The Fuu used here means to blow on something to cool it down, the same kanji as Fuuta’s name.
And I just think that’s really neat even if it was probably only half intentional lmao.
Another thing is that that “Yama” (山) in “Kajiyama,” Fuuta’s last name means mountain.
In a lot of written sources, Pazuzu climbs a great mountain and fought other powerful wind demons, coming out victorious. It was a show of his power.
Anyway, kind of an abrupt ending but I just thought this was really interesting!! Thanks for reading!:D
Edit: somebody pointed out that it’s Pazuzu and not Pazupazu. Completely my bad, that is incredibly embarrassing💀I’ve fixed it all now, thank you for the correction @moibakadesu !!

Finished The Eclipse. I honestly feel like I had the right instinct to tune it out the first time, but I do think it's interesting in that you can really see the baby steps GMMTV was taking to grow up a little bit.
You can really look at The Eclipse and see a show where it's clear GMMTV really diminished its potential with a lot of its own standards, and to their credit, I think they stood back and took a hard enough look at it, the BL environment in general, and how absolutely hard fans were calling out their bullshit and decided to get real with Only Friends.
The Only Friends cast is heavily indicative of this being the case. GMMTV was gunning for elevated talent that knew how to play ball, and Neo, First, and Khao were all shining stars in The Eclipse, that blasted their scene partners out of the water. Force and Book are intensely unique, as they've always been shafted with bad scripts and sexually repressed directors, despite the fact they came into the game with a lot more professionalism and comfort with the material they were handling. The director didn't wind up sobbing in the corner because they refused to move their mouths when they kissed. They're also a much more 'modern' ship, that doesn't default on yaoi contrasts and that weird seme/uke binary. After the success of KinnPorsche, and popularity of MileApo, I think GMMTV finally saw the potential in this pairing. About time.
But the casting is very indicative of GMMTV kind of telling fans, "We've been listening, we hear you, and we're making changes." Only Friends corrects a lot of complaints the fandom has been having.
Adults, for example, don't have much in this genre. Part of the reason The Eclipse fell short for me is it's just another damn coming of age drama. Great for the baby gays, but the adults are over it. GMMTV gave us Neo eating Mark's ass like groceries then getting godless with Force in the backseat of a car, and I'll live 10 years on that alone.
The plot contrivances they have to cook up to keep everyone from doing anything but doing a cutaway kiss with no tongue in the final episode is no more, people are fucking nasty, so now there's room for actual plot, which is hilariously ironic. But also, it's not, because I mean the desire women have for horny softcore erotica with good plots and high production value is not unknown.
Queer women and bisexuals have been complaining about a lack of representation. At the core of these yaoi tropes is a world where bisexuality has no meaningful distinction from being gay, which is really annoying, because bisexuals have a much different experience in the queer community, and that's not reflected in a world where X amount of interpersonal communication can magically turn anyone gay. Queer women just don't exist in BL. Women are all straight virgins trying to steal your man. Only Friends has lesbians. Actual FDA approved lesbians. Are they fucking nasty? No, but it's something. We are allowed to exist in the world of Only Friends and that's HUGE.
People have been complaining about the cringe. Only Friends removed that and replaced it rage provoking stupidity by the characters, and I approve of that.
Anyways, analysis is what I do for a living. TV is well within the ballpark. So while I'm only basing my thoughts on what I've observed and not cold hard numbers, there's only so much insight I can provide, but it's insight backed by years of experience. With Only Friends posting absolute numbers, we can expect to see some structural changes at GMMTV on the horizon, because this is going to create growth. Probably even stimulate a search for new actors to get on their roster, since they have a lot of actors that won't be able to deliver going into the new era. I also think this is going to help them land sponsorships from atypical brands, which is BIG. Mile getting Maserati on board for KinnPorsche is part of what allowed it to exist in an elevated form.
I also think the success is going to result in a shake-up with the quality of writers they hire, because that's at the core of a lot of issues in BL. They adapt these novels from these absolutely unhinged lunatics, these lunatics have WAY too much creative power despite the fact they're low brow porn writers, and it kills the quality of a finished product. America doesn't do that. Directors have the power to elevate material, and that's important. GMMTV got a proper writer for Only Friends, and it paid off in a big way. Mame is one of the names I hate in BL the most. Her goo-goo gaga shit is creepy, I hate it, it makes queer people look bad, and I'm hoping writers like Jojo just drive her out of the scene.
Anyways, I'm going to end things here. I just wanted to share some random thoughts I had.

The announcement
Hi. I'm here to announce what I think is a pretty big job that I finally got up the courage to do. This is my first experience in creating works of this format.
Wormhole is a comic book that tells one of the many alternative universes with dp with elements of mysticism, horror and, of course, drakes live in this universe instead of people.
⚠From the warnings⚠: my work will contain elements of body horror, themes of death, possibly suicides, blood, perhaps straight guro. This is not what the work focuses on, but elements of the graphic representation of these topics may be present.
I present the cover of my comic book ^-^
Tumblr media
I was inspired and started drawing my comic based on my random dragon au of Danny Phantom. So far, there is no system by which I would plan to release this creation of mine, in the end, I think it depends on my and your interest, anyway.
The comic will be released in 2024. I think that the publication will take place on several pages.
Later, I will create a separate post, which I will make pinned to collect all links to outgoing pages and chapters on it. I haven't decided exactly yet, but most likely there will be separate posts for individual chapters, since I plan to draw my own episodic covers for the chapters as well. You can follow if you're interested, but I'm just a poor student who has a lot of work to do, so don't expect a lot of quick updates.
A few of my sketches and some kind of spoilers on the topic when I wasn't sure if I was going to do a comic yet, hehe 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In fact, I tried not to spoilerize the designs of some of the characters here, hehe.
And, of course, chibi draco Phantom:
Tumblr media
English is not my first language (if it is not already obvious from my excellent grammar), so @dragondancer403 kindly volunteered to help me with character dialogues and various entries, thank you 💜
🪐 Also write to me if you want me to draw character cards as well 🪐

my mini fuckin essay apparently. this is about rapid eyes! go watch it here. tw for mental health problems, amnesia, death and loss, suicide mentions, ect. also a long ass post!
this is about the main character of rapid eyes being a system. maybe not canonly but. i see some parallels between my system and the player <3
ahh okay i have an interpretation of this series.
as a system, i see a lot of parallels to a system in this character and game. in a previous episode (#6?) red eyes refers to the player as "they" and while i am all for the player being nonbinary or using they/them, i do personally think it could also be the plural they/them, and our main character is a system.
the way red eyes acts, is very much a persecutor move, being rude or self-destructive in the way a verbally abusive person is. (sometimes introjects of abusers repeat the abuse out of a trauma reaction or other fear) i think red eyes showing up first in the forest where the player grew up, maybe they represent a childhood trauma, like an abusive parent, or maybe an outside person hurting the player. i saw another system say they didn't like the "evil alter" trope, but honestly? i think, if this is a system character, then it's done pretty well, as this character is just self destructive and not harming outside people. sort of like, a representation of how OCD/PTSD can make you spiral and think about it uncontrollably, and how people can beat themselves up about loss like this.
i totally respect if it makes other systems uncomfortable though!! anyway.
radio comes off as very genuinely kind and sweet, only trying to help and reassure the player. sort of like an emotional protector. she reminds me of some of our child alters, she's so silly. i love her. she's silly and lighthearted but clearly is a traumaholder, or at least aware of the trauma.
the game represents an inner world, something many systems develop as a coping mechanism. these can look like anything. the game (and in our case) has many different popular places from various horror games, but also from their real life. the scary "slenderman" woods (which the player says they lived near when they were a child), the backrooms, the school (based off of their old school), the boardwalk, the parking lot (player says they were afraid of them as a child). it's all familiar to our player, and so was put in their inner world as to make sense of the scary reality they were living in. (a little funny, but our headspace has a part of an among us map in it lol)
to add to this, the constant, changing nature of the game is reminiscent of an inner world of a system. ours changes mildly often, and who can or cant access parts of the inner world also changes, which explains radio being unable to contact the player in places red eyes controls (like the backrooms, and this cave).
now, DID (and other dissociative disorders) has amnesia attached to it. the fact that the player seems unable to remember that they made rapid eyes, is very in line with DID (i have a lot of art we've made that i have no memory of making.) but also kind of implies that the game was worked on by the other characters. the boardwalk changes, the parking lot changes, and we can assume that the player didn't do that (it implied they gave on the game entirely).
also, the name. "rapid eyes". it reminds me of looking around quickly out of terror or fear, but i also saw someone mention REM sleep (RAPID EYE movement) also being a meaning, which i think makes much more sense.
now, episode #11. radio breaking because of the fall, representing how kind words don't help when youre in the pits of your mental illness. or at least, not as much as they would if you had heard them in a better state. the nooses, the notes, the ruined lockers, it's all memories and urges, traumatic and otherwise coming together when you're at your worst and trying to stop ruminating on the past.
and the phone call: this teal character (who i'll just call static for now) has called before, when radio was out for a second to take care of something. they clearly have a lot of suicidal ideation and worthlessness related thoughts. i don't really know if static is the player, or another part of them, or what, but we've only just met them, so maybe we'll find out later?
in the phone call, they talk to their grandmother, who says their dad is sick. the player reacts very instantly to this, as if remember the phone call with terror. static plays the concern off, saying he was fine and just taking a nap. the player is audibly crying now, though it's quiet and horrifyingly sad. the acting in this part is insanely good and i love it. anyway,
"i should have called someone" (responded with "yeah, you think?" which is another example of the player constantly using humor to cope) clearly, this character and the player share guilt. over their father's death, presumably. the player begs to be left alone, maybe to red eyes, who is implied to be torturing the player.
a note for this scene is, someone in the comments mentions the "as above, so below" note, and how that is the title of a movie in which a character misses a phone call right before her father commits suicide. it lines up pretty well, and can be assumed to be a reference.
episode #11 is the final episode as of now, and is very interesting. i'll be watching for more! anyway.
disclaimer: this is my opinion, and is probably not canon. pls take what i say with a bit of salt.
OKAY wall of text over. i might be overthinking this and this is the most ive ever talked about having DID online. good lord.

I really wanted to reign myself in and NOT send you an ask this morning but OMG the house of night anon!!! I used to love those books (like, the first three or so before they turned really, really bad) because I’m nothing if not a slut for shitty vampire novels and we only get the more popular ones translated here :D
Morpheus would look soooo gorgeous with a half moon mark on his forehead? Fits amazingly well into the whole grumpy emo/goth vibe he’s got going on. (Technically it should be an outline but as the anon said, the protagonist progresses really fast and instead of years it takes months for the half moon to fill in. I think there was a prophecy involved? It’s been a while)
Anyway, the thing that kept me invested in the books way longer than I thought they were any good was the whole magic aspect? Like, they’re doing proper magic rituals and the potential for horny professor!Hob and student!Dream shenanigans is just too good to pass up?
iIrc you need five people for a proper circle in this universe, but let’s skip that to the kind professor secretly helping Morpheus out with magic rituals to figure out just why he’s special. This means late night meetings in the library, sneaking around on campus for clandestine strategy discussions and finally the rituals in the middle of the night.
The binding circle on the ground glows with magic, the bowls that house representations of the elements are vibrating, it looks like morpheus and Hob are hovering over the ground as they speak the incantations. They are granted insight, a future where Morpheus has survived the initial months and where he’s fighting something-
The vision breaks suddenly and Morpheus is back to reality and in Hob’s arms. Hob’s shaking him because he was just levitating and bleeding and he was so worried about him.
Morpheus is alright, but the residual magic is filling him with restless energy and Hob’s shirt is basically see through and five seconds later he’s toppled them over, mounting his professor in the middle of the binding circle. The ritual left him so, so hungry and professor Gadling looks so, SO tasty.
Hob knows he should stop Morpheus because he’s his student and it’s bad enough that he’s had this embarrassing crush on him ever since he came to school the first time with his strange mark. But it’s just so, so hard. Because Morpheus fascinates him like no other, he’s so lovely when he allows himself to be and all the sneaking around for research purposes at night (or rather during the day) allowed him to catch glimpses of the real Morpheus, who’s funny and kind and whip-smart. And, fuck, but he’s also so fucking beautiful so he can’t do anything but let Morpheus bite his throat and claw at his shirt, riding his thigh until he cums in his skintight jeans. He holds him through his orgasm, whispering sweet nothings into his ear and lets him rest until he’s come down enough for them to banish the circle.
Afterwards Morpheus is so, so exhausted he can barely stand. There’s no way Hob can smuggle him back into his dorm room, so he takes him to his own flat on campus. It’s risky but a lot more private and this way Morpheus can at least rest a bit more and clean himself up before he goes back to his room to tell everyone he just lost track of time in the library…
Hob sleeps on his couch and leaves Morpheus in his bed. He dreams strangely and he’s pretty sure he’s dreaming of Morpheus but it feels more like a shared memory? It’s very strange.
The next day, they don’t talk about it. Hob lends Morpheus some clothes, lets him shower and makes him breakfast. The new familiarity from his dreams still lingers and it’s so hard to not pull Morpheus on his lap and feed him the waffles, interspersed with kisses.
They try to keep their distance but the dreams come back all the time in very graphic detail. Hob cums in his sleep nearly every night now and from the embarrassed/panicked glances Morpheus throws him, he’s not faring much better.
They take some class trip or something and the proximity of them being in rooms next to each other seems to help. The first night they get at least a few hours of sleep. The next morning Hob knocks on Morpheus door (who has a room of his own) and somehow they end up in bed together.
That evening, Hob sneaks into Morpheus room. He bends him over the bed to fuck him until they’re both ready to drop from exhaustion. It’ll help with the dreams, he’s sure of it. They do sleep soundly that night, for the first time in weeks, but that has more to do with the fact that they’re entwined the whole night. The dreams still come (and so do they) but they’re clearer now, shedding a light on their shared past.
Love, 💄
Asdfghj I'll be honest I have not read these books but I love the setup. Thank you SO MUCH for filling in this au even more!!
I just think. The inherent sexiness of a vampire ritual. It's very hot, right? Magic and blood and emotions right there on the surface. It's going to lead to some absolutely feral sex on the floor, right in the middle of the spell ingredients. Hob probably tells himself that it's a good thing. Sweet, precious Morpheus is so stressed. He needs someone to help him take the edge off, before he hurts himself. Hob is just being a good mentor by palming his pert little arse through his jeans and encouraging him to rut his way to a climax. Morpheus clearly needs someone to take care of him, poor darling. Hob can do that. Keep him safe and fed on Hob’s blood until nothing else will satisfy him. Nothing but the best for him.

Aikatsu song reviews: TSU-BO-MI ~Azayakana Mirai e~
Tumblr media
From the title to the lyrics to the composition, almost everything about the way this song is formatted is unusual for Aikatsu.
Song
There's a delicate, ethereal quality to this song that isn't usually found in Aikatsu's music. It has a lot of sections that only use a few instruments at a time, instead of the complicated arrangements usually found in Aikatsu songs.
A lot of people were sold on this song once the beat dropped, but personally, I think that part was kind of generic and the melody was weird. What won me over was the breakdown-style chorus. It's pretty unusual to have a chorus that's more low-key than the verses, and to have a breakdown section that lasts that long.
Even the melody of the song is unusual. It doesn't appear to be in a traditional major or minor key, but rather some other obscure mode like dorian or mixolydian (I just happened to learn about those recently, so I may not know what I'm talking about).
Actually, to be completely honest, the first time I listened to this song, I felt kind of... annoyed? There's something kind of annoying about it, not in the instrumentals but in the melody itself. I put this song in an audio editing software, and discovered that it has a lot of clipping due to its very high sound pressure (most likely done out of fear that this song would be "boring" otherwise), so that may be part of it. Another part of it may have to do with the obscure mode I mentioned before, but also, the melody just feels kind of random, like they just picked whatever notes, or even like it wasn't composed by a human. But that also makes it more intriguing. It's unique.
Anyway, it's not just one thing that makes this song what it is – it's the anticipation of buildup and breakdown, the constant flow of changing energy levels.
Vocals
Compared to Summer Tears Diary, there's less of a gap between Mahiru and Yozora's vocals. There's better harmony in the duet version, and I can't say that one solo version is better than the other. But there's also less uniqueness – they're simply singing the song rather than giving the song their own individual twist.
Lyrics
The way they're formatted is very unusual for Aikatsu – only fragments of a sentence at a time, with one sentence making up a verse. Even the way they're subbed in the anime is different from the way they're subbed in the official music video. Other than that, I don't have much to say about the lyrics. They fulfill their purpose of filling up syllables and providing imagery and a story to the song, but that's about it.
Choreography
It fits with the music pretty well! The only part that I personally find unfitting is the part leading up to the beat drop... too much movement for such a tiny, distant sound.
Visuals
I like the stage design, but I think they could've incorporated some flowers somewhere to match the lyrics. A row of ice roses or lotuses lining the crystal-y part of the floor would be nice.
There are a few visual effects that really help highlight the song. The aurora effect on the walls during the breakdown is just gorgeous, and I think the undulating light of the aurora is a great visual representation of the trance music that plays during that part. The way Yozora's hair was animated in her performance was gorgeous. Also, the backlight in the third version (Mahiru's entry in the S4 selection). That was just amazing.
Good points: Buildup and breakdown prevent the song from feeling samey throughout, bells and trance riffs create an enchanting atmosphere Bad points: Melody sounds weird and random
Rating: 7.4/10 Personal rating: 7.7/10

Wheezy Weasel x Fem!Reader x Greasy Weasel || Oneshot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plot: Inspired by 'Bro Code' by Brantley Gilbert. Reader and Greasy have been growing apart; He's rarely around to spend time with you, which is leaving you to spend a lot more time, alone, with Wheezy, and... feelings start to develop... Wheezy decides to do the respectful thing and warn Greasy about it.
Better show that girl a good time If you don't, it's gon' be goodbye And if you take it for granted You hand her to another man It's a matter of time, bro
It's a matter of time
Now, I know it ain't my business But I gotta insist that if this was somebody else Your deal is already finished because Bro code goes out the window Just be glad it's me lettin' you know, bro
Warnings: Me writing serious romance stuffs for toon gangster weasels. ... Love triangle? XD I'd say its handled pretty well though
"Hey Wheezy!"
"Hey- " You plop down on the couch with him suddenly; Your head in his lap. It honestly surprises him for a moment, the affection - though not unwelcome, - having come out of nowhere and could be interpreted as innapropriate, by some people... considering who you really belonged too around here. "Y/N... "
Giving a little, teasing smile, you dont address the elephant in the room- deciding to rather just move on, fiddling with your fingers above your stomach. "What are you up to, tonight?"
"Smokin'... " Obviously. "Was gonna watch some TV, too. Nothing much- nothing exciting, anyway. What are you doing? Wasn't Greasy taking you out somewhere, tonight?"
At this, the mention of your boyfriend, the bright light flickers out of your pretty eyes a little bit. You look away from his face, a frown tugging at your lips. Wheezy frowns, too, the three cigerettes he was puffing away on held away from his face between two fingers; This can't be good. "Oh! We were... " Your voice is polite, almost cheerful still in a totally fake, forced kind of way. "But, um... I guess we got our signals crossed, or something. I thought I was supposed to meet him here now, but Smarty says Greasy's out doing something for him tonight, so... " Giving little shrug, you force the sadness out of your eyes and take a deep breath. Wheezy's frown only worsens, though. That explains why you look so nice... well, nicer then usual. That seems to be happening damn often, recently, too. "I'm free, now! Was hopin' you might be willing to share your evening, with me?"
... There's a cheeky glint in your eyes that Wheezy can't help grinning back at, shaking his head. "Yeah, sure. Whatcha wanna watch?"
"Oh!" You hop up off his lap and into a sitting position, crossing your legs and picking up the remote- focused on the TV. "I have the best movie in mind. I think its started already, but not too long ago so we should be fine. You'll love it! Promise."
~
"This is the dumbest fucking movie I have ever seen Y/N- " Wheezy's saying, much to your dismay even though you grin- his frustration a source of amusement, to you. He's cute, you decide; His words are biting, but the expression on his face is soft, and relaxed. You like it. You like him- he's a good friend!
"No way!-" Giggling, you shake your head at him.
"Dont you show this to the boss, he'll blow a gasket. Is this supposed to be gang representation? Hell- "
"Its the best kind of gang representation!" You reply, not looking at him as he turns to give you most incredulous look possible. "... makes you guys look so dumb- fella's watchin'll think they can outsmart you and be so much easier to deal with, don'tcha think?"
"Pfft," Wheezy rolls his eyes, but he's grinning; Theres something cute about your theory, there. He's gotta admit. "We gotta deal with enough idiots, don't you be pushing any more on us."
"Hmm," Humming, you lean back into the cushions behind you; Eyes glued to the screen as some 'gangsters' play a game of poker. "Plus, they're all gorgeous... would you say that's misrepresentation, too?"
He scoffs again, shaking his head. "Depends on the gang, doll."
As soon as that slips out of his mouth, he just about has a stroke and freezes to the spot as you just continues to watch the movie, like she didnt hear it. Hanging out with your pal's girl all alone is one thing, even sitting this close to her can be interpreted as a close friendship, but calling her doll?? Thats got to be breaking every damn rule there is about pal's and their ladies. Greasy would lose his damn mind if he heard that, and Wheezy wouldn't really be able to blame him.
Except... you didnt react at all to him using that name with you- for you. As well as the fact that you haven't been seeing much of Greasy, lately. At all. He hasn't been around. And not just for a week, no- you two have been missing eachother for months now, slowly drifting apart. Greasy used to stress out like the damn Queen was coming over to the apartment if he ever had to dissapoint you, the two of you used to be so attached to eachother all the time that it made everyone else sick (And really uncomfortable, at times), you used to hang out in Greasy's room if he wasn't around when he said he would be... But not anymore. For weeks now you've been spending your time with him - Wheezy, - , almost treating him like your boyfriend...
Like a stand-in. But that doesn't mean that when you're together you aren't treating him like him- that you're using him as a place holder for Greasy at all, no- its just... like...
Instead of Greasy getting to spend his nights with your legs in his lap- it's Wheezy. Instead of Greasy getting to make you laugh- it's Wheezy. Instead of Greasy making you smile... its Wheezy.
And he doesn't think he should really have to feel guilty for enjoying it, anymore.
It's time to give Greasy a warning, Wheezy decides as he relaxes back into the cushions to watch the rest of this dumb movie that you like.
If Greasy doesn't buck up, soon, then he's going to let you know that he's throwing his hat into the ring.
~
Greasy's eyes are narrowed after what Wheezy says, disbelief and betrayal written all over his face. "... what, amigo?" His voice is quiet but emotionless, giving Wheezy one chance to take it back, his proclamation. His absurd, ridiculous, traitorous proclamation. If he did, then all would be fine- he would forgive and forget it. You're beautiful, and wonderful... he cant blame the man for falling under your spell for a moment. But if he doesnt-
"You heard me Grease." Intimidation is one of Greasy's favourite tactics- Wheezy's close to him, so he knows that. Plus... you can't really be intimidated by a man after you've heard him singing in the shower. "... I'm just warning you. As it is I'm not gonna do a thing, not unless she makes a move on me, because you're my friend- but if you don't start putting in more of an effort again, stop standin' your girl up... you're gonna lose her. And it might be, to me."
"Hm. Brave, fumador, you're very brave... So, am I to believe you haven't don't anything behind my back?"
"Yes."
... Greasy nods. He believes him- of course he does. Like Wheezy said, they're friends. He knows when he's lying and when he's telling the earnest truth, and besides he trusts him.
... and also- Wheezy isn't the lying type. Never has been. Greasy has never really had to worry about that, with him.
So... that brings him to a different thought. Another issue. One that makes his heart restrict inside his chest. "So then... Y/N... she has been sad? Missing m- "
Wheezy rolls his eyes deeply and groans, his hands in his pockets so he doesnt smack Greasy. "Of course she's been fucken sad, you little freak. She loves you, moron. And you've been everywhere but with her- where you should be." Some 'ladies man', this one. Wheezy thinks. Doesn't even know when he's making the biggest damn mistake of his life.
Sure, it might be Wheezy's gain... this mistake of Greasy's... but he won't take it lightly. This is a fucked up situation they're in, and whoever ends up with her is going to have to live with knowing the other is having to live without.
Greasy's heart squeezes and squeezes... forcing him quiet as thoughts rush through his mind about how bad he feels and how he didn't realise this, his working more lately, would affect her badly... and how if he had then he would have never...
Ugh, he thinks. He wishes he could say he was doing it for more money, to buy her an engagement ring or something... but he was not. Dammit.
... thats a prety good idea actually. Maybe he can still do that-
"What the hell are you two morons doing in my kitchen?" Smartass suddenly appears in the doorway, catching both their attentions with his frustrated tone. Greasy opens his mouth to explain, but their boss is already on it. "What I tell you??? No snacks past 6.30! Dinner's in the damn oven- what do you want from me here?? Damn vultures. What- you can't wait 15 minutes?? Sheesh."
This time Wheezy opens his mouth to explain for them both, but also gets cut off as Smartass pulls on two oven mitts. "And Y/N's just got here. Go bother her for a while, wouldja?? Both of you. Out."
Barely a millisecond passes and Greasy is already out the door, leaving a Greasy-shaped dust cloud behind him as he races to find you. Wheezy takes another moment, sucking in a good long puff of tobacco, before strolling after him.
When he finds you, standing by the billards table with Psycho and Stupid, Greasy's already attached himself to you like a damn leach.
"-so sorry, mi vida... Lo siento, Y/N... All my apologies... I didn't realise that I had been gone so much... " He's trailing kisses all over you- your cheeks, your forehead, down your neck... Psycho scowls at you both, before covering his eyes. Wheezy wishes he could do the same without feeling like a fricken 12 year old. "I mean of course I noticed you were away from me... and I missed you but-... you know? Why don't we go and spend some time- alone?~ " Finally he pulls back, looking you in the eye, a flirtation smirk on his face. "I will be sure to thoroughly make it up to you for my mistakes. Prometo~ "
Giving a giggle at it, you allow yourself to fall right back into familiar patterns, with him; Tucking hair behind your ear and letting your hands fall to his arms as he holds you, and tilting your head to the side. "I don't know~ Why don't we?"
You're just glad he's back.
Wheezy watches Greasy's wolf-like smirk broaden, all sorts of - likely, - depraved shit going in his head, and lean into your ear. He whispers something you that has your eyes widening and your fingers tightening onto his suit.
... you look cute as hell, but Wheezy would rather not know what it was that had that affect on you. Or at least not until he can figure it out himself.
Then Greasy's disconnecting from you, pressing one final lasting kiss onto your cheek, before heading to his room. You would follow in a moment, absolutely, but you're just reeling for a moment from how he went from 0 to 100 all of a sudden.
... woof. You give a smile, shaking your head. Whatever it was, you aren't about to question it. When you notice Wheezy standing in the doorway, smoking to himself, you catch his gaze and give a bright grin. He's back, you mouth, pleased.
He nods, blowing smoke. Yep... "Sure is."
Approaching him, you hold your arms behind your back and stand just beside him; Watching the Psycho and Stupid play billiards while Wheezy watches you. "I wonder what knocked some sense into him?... or who???" You ask, twisting in place and carefully peering up at him.
Immediatly he looks away, taking a draw from a cigerette. "Oh- don't give me the credit. It was allll him."
Without really thinking, you throw your arms around Wheezy; Giving him what was supposed to be a quick, warm hug. Of thanks.
But then he wraps his arms around you too, and you pull back not far... just enough to look at eachother and for a split moment, with both your heads slightly at an angle and your breath on eachothers lips you stay there; Inches apart and hearts beating erratically inside chests.
Something changed in the few seconds you were hugging him. The way you looked at him all of a sudden was different, like- realisation. Then surprise.
Then horror.
Quickly you wipe the wide-eyed look off your face and cautiously let go of Wheezy, stepping back. Theres a heat in your cheeks betraying you. Wheezy- you think, an odd and terrifying mix of shock and something really lovely and warm swarming inside your chest. Tall, laid back, sexy, comfortable... Wheezy.
You must look at him for too long, because he reaches out to grab your hand. "Y/N? Are you- "
Quickly you yank your hand out of jis reagh, surprising him. "Um- I'm fine! Yeah, I just- Greasy. I gotta go to Greasy. So- um- yeah. Uh, bye!"
Then you flash a awkward smile, to comfort him and show everything is alright, then rush up the stairs to Greasy's room.

An Open Letter to Motomu Toriyama
Good afternoon, Toriyama-san.
You’ll never read this, but the idea you might creates a good narrative device. And for those who actually are reading, no, not that Toriyama. The one who made Dragon Ball is Akira, I’m talking to Motomu. Anyway, to the one I’m actually talking to: I don’t know you, even though I’d like to. But I know what you’ve worked on, and I know that I like it. You’re kind of an inspiration, or at least your work is. I make games too, so I know games are made by more than their directors. And yet, when I think about Final Fantasy I cannot help but see the story of its directors, from Sakaguchi to Kitase to Ito to you. I am not immune to Great Man Theory, at least in the context of games. And with all of this hedging out of the way, I feel it’s time I get to my actual thoughts.
A lot of people didn’t respond well to your work on X-2 or the XIII trilogy, but I personally like these games a lot. You have a unique touch in your storytelling, that I’d go as far as to call feminine. You have a tendency towards female protagonists, which is to this day a rarity for the series. And you know how to make me care about a heroine, even if they’re not the point of view. Your writing in X makes us empathize with Yuna in her conflicts of love and obligation, and this makes her journey of self-discovery in X-2 all the more captivating. Seeing the character of Lightning was what inspired me to get into Final Fantasy in the first place, and she still holds a place in my heart, just as I’m sure she does in yours.
Your work has a tendency towards symbolism and emotional storytelling in a way that I really like. From the Eidolons in XIII giving you a fight-or-die moment to prove your resolve, and Anima from Revenant Wings symbolizing the emotion that has been suppressed, or thrown away, to X-2’s musical numbers that convey character and plot in a way “normal” cutscenes could not. You know how to make me feel, and I’ll always admire that as someone who struggles to do the same in my own writing. Even if your games aren’t always consistent in their quality, you more than any other director create moments that I’ll remember for the rest of my days.
Let’s… talk about that quality though. Because particularly XIII was undoubtedly infamous on release, and some of it was warranted? Now, look, I’m the XIII defender of any group I’m in, but I’m well aware of the issues it has. Strange pacing, corridor level design, and lore that absolutely refuses to be exposited properly. I can appreciate what the story is going for, but only after a second playthrough. It takes a lot of work to like FFXIII, and a lot of gamers weren’t willing to put in that work. They instead dismissed it as the height of JRPG garbage, a representation of everything wrong with the genre. And while I do not take the likes of Yahtzee and Dunkey seriously, a lot of other people do, and they’ve influenced the discourse for years to come.
But there’s a bit of context for FFXIII being the way it is, isn’t there? If we want to speak charitably, that was your first time creating a game from scratch. Before then, you had done sequels to games that were already great, using the established lore and characters to do interesting things and tell unique stories. In a sense, directing sequels and spinoffs is freeing. When you don’t have to make The game that sells systems and keeps the series funded, you’re allowed to just make A game, with its own unique ideas, mechanics, and storytelling. This is probably why XIII-2 was able to find its footing more easily, you’d already done the hard part! And now you can use the same setting, engine, and assets to explore the interesting bits that the first game glossed over!
(sigh) But here’s the thing. While I respect you and your work deeply, there is something… strange, isn’t there? Like, I praised your work for its feminine touch earlier, but you are still a man, or at least presenting as one at time of writing. To be clear, I am not making a “feminine appropriation” argument, or saying you have to be a woman to write stories like these. But like, best as I can find, there has never been a woman at the helm of a Final Fantasy project. And this reflects a broader industry where women are not taken seriously as designers, directors, and writers. Plenty of women in the game industry can tell you how they’ve been shunted to the role of supervisor or producer, which are important roles, but which you’re not automatically good at just by being a woman. While I’m glad your creative voice has gotten to shine through in so many games, I know that it wouldn’t have if you were a bit more like me. There is a lot to criticize about the auteur fantasy, but something often unstated is its ties to patriarchy.
But I can’t be too mad, can I? Because even with the advantages you had, people still viewed your work with skepticism, and even hostility. You came in during a time where Final Fantasy was changing, more than it had before. Now every FF game has a different director, a different combat system, a different Vibe. And these days, that vibe seems to bias masculine. I can’t help but miss it, you know? You’re doing good work on the VII remake, thriving in sequel territory like you’ve always done. But the ripples you sent through the Final Fantasy IP never made waves. FFXV tried to walk back the “mistakes” you made in XIII, making a game that is generally easier to sit through but somehow more of a mess. I might talk about Tabata someday. That day is not today.
I hope you find enjoyment in future endeavors. I hope XIII gets a remake on modern systems, that addresses the major issues while keeping the spirit of what made the original shine. I hope that can give this game another chance to be understood and appreciated, in this new world a decade and a half later. And I hope your work inspires more people to do what you did in their own way. You certainly have for me. And for Christine Love! Yeah, the dev behind Ladykiller in a Bind made a really good RPG inspired by all the best parts of FFXIII. It’s called “Get in the Car, Loser!” and it fully embraces the spirit of the Lightning Saga while delivering a leftist and queer edge that a AAA game like Final Fantasy never could. It was my favorite game of 2021, and it’s still so important to me. Your legacy lives on in the creators of today.
You still need to apologize for 3rd Birthday though.

Just read Sunday Smut Bookclub! I loved it so much!! As someone who is still a virgin at almost 30 and is trying to parse out whether that’s due to being asexual or demisexual or something like that or if it’s the body insecurity and anxiety, I literally cried. Like if I could trust someone to treat me like Namjoon treats Yoongi to help me figure that all out ????? Or if I felt confident enough to just ask for what I want and need straight out like Yoongi did in this???
The line “Yoongi loves fics like those. They feel how Namjoon’s hands feel when he holds the small of Yoongi’s back and cradles the side of his face when he pulls him into a kiss” took me all the way out!!! Really the whole paragraph before about the way reading fic can make you feel comforted in general I related to and then that transfer of that comfort to this sexual situation!!!! Yo, like… 🥹🥹🥹🥹
But this fic definitely made me laugh too! Literally laughed out loud reading “Can I eat you out” “Oh, uh, ya.”
And the meta-ness was really fun! I didn’t read the authors note going in so I was surprised at BTS showing up and vocal line being members. I also write fic (though I haven’t published anything yet, I might sometime, but right now it’s just getting my thoughts and ideas out and most of my stories don’t have endings lol), and also (like Yoongj described) kind if stop at that moment before smut happens or gloss over it. Like I have one really great Namjoon reader insert scene that I love but that’s the only one I’ve been able to do with any sort of satisfaction and idk how I got in the mindspace to do it lol. So I related so hard in so many ways!!!
Bc I didn’t read the author’s note I dove into it thinking it’d be a nice lunch break smut reading sesh but was pleasantly surprised with how else it impacted me! Thanks so much for writing and sharing this!!!!
hi friend, sorry it has taken me a while to respond to your ask. i read it and immediately gushed to my partner about it (i talked to them about that fic cuz it holds a lot of my personal feelings about physical intimacy in it), and i wanted to kind of sit with it until i felt like i could give you a proper response and not just the unhinged shit i normally respond to feedback with
i'm so happy that it left an impact on you! normally i write fics just cuz i love writing silly little stories (i'm sure you understand since you said you write too!) BUT with this fic i genuinely thought as i was writing, "i really hope people appreciate this" - not because i wanted praise or anything, but an appreciation for being able to either 1) relate to the content or 2) open their eyes to a new way of looking at smut in fanfic and also just simply a sexual orientation that we honestly ignore in the fanfic community imo. i rarely see asexual representation, and so much of fanfic is about smut
like no shade !! most of my fics include smut, and pretty graphic smut, but it's exhausting to write as someone on the ace spectrum, and i think a lot of readers don't realize that. it genuinely takes a lot of effort, and not just cuz we want to write it well, but just... the whole thing is not what we're used to (and also as a virgin i'm sure it's an even more complicated thing to work through). add in some good ole gender dysphoria and YIKES what an experience
like, i haven't had sex with a cis man since 2019 kshdfkjs and yet here i am, dick-in-pussy'ing all over tumblr.com
ANYWAY thank you for sharing this. i hope you're able to work through how you feel with your sexuality. it's def a journey. and also it's important to know that 1) sexuality is a spectrum and 2) if you never have sex or have sex but are never truly into it like most people are, that's ok too! i wrote namjoon as this soft, accepting guy cuz i didn't want yoongi to suddenly like sex just cuz he hooked up with a hot guy. he walked away still unwilling to have sex in the future, and namjoon is cool with that. no one should ever make you feel bad for not wanting to have sex
but also, i would do anything kim taehyung asked me to do, so, sometimes there can be exceptions jdhfkjs 🤪
if you ever post your fic, i'd love to read it! and if you ever need help writing smut, i'm happy to talk to you about it 💜

Rumor has it that Marvel is considering POC actors for Reed Richards. I have not heard similar news for Doom. On a scale of 78 to 312, how mad would you be if Marvel not only whitewashed Doom but then ON TOP OF THAT cast a POC Reed and played their dynamic like "arrogant white man thinks he's better/smarter than POC hero?" Not that I'm against POC Reed! But holy fuck the tone-deafness of whitewashing a canonically Roma character and then race-swapping the white character to be more "inclusive"..
Well, the good news, for now, is that people are saying Annihilus is going to be the big bad for the next FF movie. It's entirely possible that Victor will still be in the film in some capacity, but I'm hoping they just leave him alone so I don't have to worry about this for a couple more years. 🤞🏼
Anyways, I've also heard these rumors about Reed. I kind of assumed they might look for a Black actor, since they've got Jonathan Majors as Kang, who is ostensibly Reed's descendent. They don't necessarily need to, but I'm just saying I think it's an obvious choice.
Casting Reed as a man of color does have the potential to change the optics of certain relationships, though. The M C U has a really bad track record with characters of color, especially Black characters, when paired with/against white people. If Wanda//Vision taught us anything, it's that the M C U is perfectly happy to whitewash Romani characters AND go out of their way to depict those characters as antiblack racists. So, yeah, if Doom gets whitewashed-- and let's be honest, it's very likely-- I expect the whole thing to be a mess.
Obviously, I want things to change. I want meaningful and humanizing representation, and I do believe that Victor's story has that potential, but he is a morally and politically challenging character. This franchise is not known for handling complex morals or politics appropriately. I hate to say it, but I have a lot of apprehensions about the M C U adapting Doom as a Romani character if he's going to be the first/only one. If all we get is a villain who most Americans will probably just right off as an authoritarian dictator, I don't really think that's going to help!!!
Anyways, stan brown king Victor von Doom.

I recently got recommended this, and from what I’ve seen, this IF seems super interesting! I am so happy to see a romani character; our existence seems to be super rare in IFs! Especially seeing that Jade doesn’t seem like a stereotype at all.
I’m not sure if this has been asked before, but what is Jade’s relationship with her family like in general?
Thanks for giving us some form of representation! I’m super excited to see more of this story.
Thank you as well, anon! I'm really glad you like Jade! She was actually the first RO I thought of for Hollowed Minds, and directly came from the short story I wrote that this IF was based on. Of course, if you have any concerns in the future, feel free to DM me and I'll gladly talk to you :)))) I'm part of a minority, too, so I'm doing my best to represent her well.
I'd say that family is very important both for Jade and her brother Richard. She was young when their parents disappeared (although their stories would also be explored in the future parts of the series), so Richard had some help from another relative in raising Jade. For spoiler reasons, I can't say much more about the relative, especially since the MC never even knew about that--Richard didn't tell the MC everything--and will only be able to have that knowledge once Jade trusts them enough.
Anyway, she hates what her brother is currently doing (which, again, I can't give too many details on, sadly), but she also cares for him a lot at the same time. They're protective of each other, and they're also very careful about giving details about their family and its history to anyone else as they consider this dangerous. However, it's also an action that made Jade feel a little disconnected from her culture because Richard basically thought her how to blend in.
Still, I think what I really love about writing Jade's character is that she'll increasingly let go of her fears in facing the consequences of her own mistakes, and will make a lot of effort to look into what kind of people her parents were before everything that has happened in the city :)
So yeah, Jade does treasure her family; I hope that becomes more evident, too!

Could be the case for others. But we are here :)
aw i do appreciate it <3 ive been having such issues this year it has shaped.... literally everything, from irl stuff to slowing down my writing and also making interacting hard not just with yall but with my friends and family. sometimes messages stress me because i know i cant answer them (especially when i really want to), but i also like talking to you guys a lot its just very difficult at times. ive been having an extended episode for like three weeks now so thats. fun and easy. but! honestly its good to hear that and it is very kind of you <3 rn im on the border where im a little incomprehensible but feeling good enough to kinda ramble.
i feel like i keep mentioning the fandom "shrinking" but honestly i usually bring it up because i know it discourages new people who want to start making art or w/e for catradora and feel like "they missed their chance" but like yeah, youre exactly right, we're still here! if you're interested in catradora, you WILL find other people who still are and we're glad to have you (two cakes, etc).
i don't think the catradora fandom is small by any means, or even shrinking fast, it is just a fact that we used to be very high on the list of top ships, and now we're number 38 - still a big number despite the difference (ive never been in a fandom that ranked before im sure). which is why i brought it up for locked fics now seeing more "engagement" loss than before and part of my motivation to keep working on my stories comes from you guys! because im adhd and struggle with motivation/staying on task lol, so if i cant do something quickly (which hasnt been possible for like a year, you might noticed some of my "long fics" this year are shorter than years previous, though thats also story differences. look at SaD, which i thought would be short, and, well....), hearing other people be invested in it helps to stir up my own investment and keep me going so that was the reason it was a con i had to weigh despite generally focusing on what i like to write/read (side adhd tangent, i love how i started in my fics being like "well i could write adora as adhd or autistic but i worry about my outside perspective" and even worrying about how i do autistic representation to now knowing full well im both and gaining a deeper understanding of my life from it /end). i do think the lock will be very temporary (most likely because the damage is done, but hopefully because of some improvement/we find something new)
i did not mean to harp more on that and i think this will be the last time i mention it im just very rambling right now. anyway this message was sweet and i appreciate you <3

Why don’t you like the Kingsley/Juliette dynamic in The Original Sinners series? Or what don’t you like about it?
This turned into an essay with asides about my other frustrations in the series that are not QUITE as sticky as this one, so. Oops.
I have zero issue with their love of intense CNC and pain play.
I do have an issue with Juliette being presented as Kingsley's respite and gentle salvation from his toxic dynamic (a dynamic I love! But it's toxic) with Soren (and Nora), whose main trait is "bosses Kingsley around, mostly off the page because aside from in The Virgin, Juliette has minimal page time", "is beautiful" and "is Haitian". I don't love that she's given the tragic sexualized "island woman" (see: Palm Trees in the Snow) narrative, with a much older man who uses her as a sex toy before Kingsley helps liberate her. And I really don't love that the text gives some sort of ;) ;) *nudge nudge* nod to how "doesn't look kinda fucked up that Kingsley is a French white guy with an intense rough CNC dynamic with a Haitian black woman who is his sexual submissive". Reisz, a white woman, does this a lot.
Like, in general, I dislike how Tiffany Reisz writes race in that series--the weird jokes Nora makes about Wesley's southern family owning slaves in the past, her exotic~ Middle Eastern client who gets prettty vilified by the text. The cop in the ninth book (a black man) who kind of exists to be like "I am a new character and I think Nora is just Amazing and Magical, and wow look at her sexy male companions, but I'm not gay, I have a daddy kink, and even though I'm a grown man and a cop in New Orleans who's probably seen some shit, I'm gonna act kinda shocked whenever these kinksters talk about Being Kinky, which in this series is like Being a Witch, basically".
But especially the acknowledgment of how it's "weird" for Kingsley and Juliette to have the dynamic that they do falls into this tendency I notice with her writing wherein she's like "yeah I know this is fucked, but I know it's fucked so it's fine and I shall acknowledge this in a joking fashion". She does this with the underage sex too--until the most recent novel, wherein she, I'm assuming, consumed some literature on grooming that either genuinely changed her mind or made her worried about canceled for the times she sorta went "eh, the teens wanna fuck the adults, it's fine". Which could have led to the incredibly "too little too late" monologues of Nora deconstructing her youthful dynamic with Soren in a way that felt heavyhanded and not true to those characters, and again, a bit! Late! And sorta covered in a better way in previous books! But I digress.
Anyway, it's like... okay Tiffany, but it really isn't your place (or mine) to say any of this okay, for one thing. But especially not the dynamic between Kingsley and Juliette. And also? if Kingsley and Juliette were real people, Juliette would be an adult woman who doesn't need to have people go "well damn, your relationship with your partner sure is weird, huh!" She's not a child, she's not here to be a living representation of like, French colonization.
Lol the thing with the Original Sinners is that I think Tiffany Reisz writes complex emotional dynamics very well, and I think she writes the way those dynamics entwine in a sexual manner very well, and I think she gets a lot of the appeal of more hardcore-ish BDSM very well. I think some of the Original Sinners books are excellent. And some are excellent if you excise key scenes (The Prince; cut most of Nora's farm girl era and stick to what Kingsley and Soren are up to in the past and the present and you have a great book). I think she writes taboo very well.
And you know, if she dug into Juliette and King's relationship as much as she does Nora and Soren's or Soren and King's, then you might have had a great thing. Juliette seems so cool. I love Kingsley. I love his love for Juliette. They seem hot as fuck together. But I need her to be more than his baby carrier, especially when so much of his angst with Nora (and to some extent Soren) does go back to this crucial moment when Nora aborted his child, which he supported, but was also hurt by because Kingsley wanted to be a dad so badly. So much of his character is wrapped up in this idea of fatherhood, but I want the mother of his (younger) children to be as important on the page as Nora and Soren. Reisz devotes SO much time to writing Soren and Nora's dynamic that, even though it is FUCKED that they met when she was like 15 and he was a cool 29ish? You can't look away. Soren and Kingsley's first sexual encounter was, however much Kingsley enjoyed it, non-consensual. But Reisz puts so much effort into that dynamic, you can't look away. Juliette and Kingsley don't get that.
I'll allow, this isn't JUST an issue with Kingsley and Juliette. Nico is supposedly like, almost on Soren's level in terms of Nora's lovers. She spends months with him every year, and she says "when I'm with Soren, I'm 100% with Soren, and when I'm with Nico, I'm 100% with Nico". She wears Nico's necklace or whatever with Soren's. She doesn't seem to sleep with people outside of them anymore. But at the end of the day, Nico is really just a way for Reisz to sort of like, shutter any sexual relationship between Nora and Kingsley, while at the same time symbolizing this "Nora is secretly more dominant than she is submissive" thing, when it's like, okay yes we get it Nora is a switch. Soren is the man she submits to; Nico is the man she dominates. But we literally never see them together in the full books aside from like... that one quick falling in love routine.
It's like... I know why, lol. Tiffany Reisz as a writer is much more interested in the core three than anyone else... or at least she knows the fans are. (She was also super into Wesley, but I don't get the vibe that he got as much reader support and thus, fin.) And that's fine, that's valid, those are my mains too, girl!
But you can't just say "these relationships are just as important as the other ones, you just don't see them" when trying to write a poly dynamic, imo. Compare to (yes) New Camelot by Sierra Simone because I think that series does complex romantic and sexual dynamics so well. Ash, Greer, and Embry are all in the central triad. Much of the first book develops Greer's relationship with Ash, from her POV, with some additional development for her past and current turmoil with Embry. Towards the end, she realizes that Ash and Embry are also in love--but if you stopped at that book, you might not feel like that was authentic, or that Embry's relationship with Greer had as much going on as her dynamic with Ash. In the next book, you see Greer and Embry have some fraught scenes that are unlike their dynamic in the past, and you get a fuckton of development with Ash and Embry in flashbacks... Like, their whole love story. So even though Book 1 had this emphasis on Ash/Greer, every aspect of the triad ultimately brings something to the table.
Tiffany doesn't give Juliette (and her dynamic with King) that service, but she still wants to be like "look, here is a black woman as an important character in my series dominated by white people, and yeah I know I put the Haitian woman in as the sexual submissive of the white French guy, but I know it haha what can ya do, AND ALSO, just so you know, Juliette is like, on the level of Soren for Kingsley, buuut you're only gonna see it in this one book that is half devoted to Nora's fling with a nun while she and Soren were on the outs".
(Nora's most significant on the page sexual relationship with a woman essentially happening as a "FUCK YOU!!!!" to Soren while she recounts some of her most favorite memories of him rocking her clock is...... another thing for another day, but less bad, The Virgin is not a good book outside of the admittedly delightful "Nora's birthday limo mini gangbang" scene.)
To me? If you aren't gonna do the work, don't do the whole thing. Don't half-ass Juliette and King's dynamic. If that's the only way you can do it, don't do it at all. It speaks to me of a lack of effort.
Anyway. This turned into an essay. This is just one of those rare series where I have so much I fucking love without abandon, and so much I'm mixed on, and a fair amount I just think should've been cut lol.

I woke up to a few anon messages that came in batches at different times, so I'm not sure if these are all from the same person or a few different people, but I'm just going to answer them all here!
Questions and replies below the cut ↓

That is absolutely what I would do. I wouldn't even upload sims who use cc to the gallery, especially if the sims team/EA refuses to tell you what about your sims is being flagged as inappropriate by their standards. After a few suspensions and warnings they will go ahead with a permanent ban and from what I've found in my research, they don't seem to have a lot of flexibility to undo a ban once it has been issued, so you're right to play it safe rather than be sorry.
Thank you for saying that, I genuinely appreciate it! I'm so glad you stopped by for help, and that I could be helpful to you in any way. ❤️

I agree on all fronts! I'm almost positive there will be bugs with this new EP upon release, I just hope they're mild and managable until the Sims team can get out a hotfix. Just hoping the bugs aren't as bad as My Wedding Stories, for instance - that pack was completely unplayable upon release.
I think what we have seen of the build buy items looks really unique and beautiful. I'm always excited to see new traits, although some of them seem so pack-specific that I'm worried how they'll impact gameplay outside of the renter situations. I reblogged a couple isolated screenshots on my page that break down some new potential features - like a rice cooker, standing toilet, marbles and hopscotch for children (new child activities!!! Yay!!), and so on! The world itself seems immersive and different than what we already have and I think the non-American representation has been severely lacking, so it'll *hopefully* be a breath of fresh air.
Somewhat related to this point: the inclusion of a non-American world also gives me hope for the future. I'm still holding out hope for a Spanish inspired world or an African inspired world, but perhaps they'll incorporate one or both in the future. I hate that Selvadorada is a vacation world only!
The negative part of me kind of hates that this feels like "City Living: The Sequel." I'm curious how this will impact the already existent apartment lot types in the game. Hopefully it's different enough to stand on its own, but I just think we should have been able to create apartments all this time. That's the main selling point of this pack for me, and it would seem like that's the shared sentiment in the community as well, so that's unfortunate that we all have to buy/acquire a different pack to implement a feature that could and should have been implemented in another pack. I'm going to withhold judgment until I play though and try to go in with an open mind!

I love refreshing the townies, too! It's actually one of the first things I do when I start a new gameplay save because, like you said, a lot of them don't even have hot/cold weather outfits which is... well, it's expected of the lazy ass sims team lol. I'm not surprised. 🤦 But I can't stand seeing townies walk around in the wackiest outfits, especially the townies I really like!
I've always thought the community, by and large, does a better job handling townie refreshes anyway. I think every time the Sims team touches a beloved townie or alters their lore in any way, they fuck it up lmao. I would rather they just leave it to the people who actually care about these sims...😬
Thank you so much for the compliment, that means so much to me! I know it's cliché, but the more you practice making sims, the better you will get and the more you'll start to see your own "style" take shape. One tip I would give is to use real people as a reference: this helps avoid that "same face" syndrome you can get yourself into. They don't have to be perfect and exact to your reference, but you'll find over time that looking at all these different real people will not only diversify your sims, but also your ideas of beauty. You'll start to notice little things about a face that make it different - a bump of the nose, a slant of the eyes, pulled-in corners of the mouth, a cupid's bow arch of the lips versus a perfectly rounded edge. If you go to Pinterest and just look up "Face claims" you will find a never-ending amount of pictures with people of all different facial features, ages, ethnicities, hair textures, etc. Create a board on there - public or private (that's totally up to you) - and save all the faces you think are beautiful, unique, intriguing, etc. It helps me so much, and my sim style has really developed over time just by doing that!
I have to admit... I'm not a particularly fashionable person: I've been dressing pretty much the same way since middle school not gonna lie (think thrift store grandpa in band/graphic t-shirts and leggings exclusively lmao). So I try to think of the kind of personality my sim has first, which helps me pick an aesthetic style I want to go for when it's time to dress them. I'll think of questions like are they more alternative, or are they preppy? Do they dress for comfort or for style? Would they spend a lot of money on their clothes, or do they prioritize simple, affordable, staple pieces? Are they environmentally-conscious, avoiding animal furs/clothes that could be over the top but also made cruelly? Do they have a culture, religion, or belief-system that encourages modesty and head-coverings of some kind? So on and so forth. Then I might look up pictures or just play around until I find a few outfits that feel right. If you need inspo, go to TS4 lookbook tag as well- there's lots of variety and seeing how people pair some cc pieces might help your creative juices flow!

The Goth family will always have a special place in my heart, first and foremost. Naturally I have to include Erwin Pries (Strangerville GP), my number one silly goose, because he feels like he's mine. I know EA made him and we all have him in our games, but he feels so personal to me. I also love Penny Pizzaz (City Living EP) and the entire Jang family (City Living EP), Sienna Grove and Don Gooseman (Horse Ranch EP), Max Villareal and Lucas Munch (Get Together EP), Bob Pancakes (BG), the Vatore siblings (Vampires GP), Morgyn Ember and L. Faba (ROM GP - sorry Simeon).
Honorable mention to every Wildfangs werewolf and Celene López: I love all of them equally and could not pick a favorite. Another honorable mention to the Behr sisters as well: I don't play with them often, but I love their aesthetic.
Little blurb but this was such a tough question because I had to decipher between the townies I love because I have an attachment to them, versus townies I love because they're done so well by someone else (Gunther Munch by Ai, Hugo and Malcom by tricoufamily, and so on). I feel good about the above list though - I think these are my favorite sims that I play with based on my own attachment and personal headcanons.

Thank you so much!!! 😊🥰
It genuinely makes my heart happy to think that anyone will find joy in a build that I had joy in making. It's like sharing brain children, collaborating in a way - my build housing someone else's sims, two elements creating one story. Idk if that makes sense, but that's my favorite part of the community... just like, creating together.
I wasn't a good builder either, I found the mechanics really confusing at first, but it's actually become kind of a catharsis for my anxiety and adhd. It keeps me focused and grounded and gives me a task to direct my, at times, directionless energy. I also recommend using floor plan pictures from Pinterest to help practice building as well! I have a whole board of floor plans and exteriors!
Anyway, if this is all my same friend who came to me for help, I'm sorry I wrote you a book lmao! If this is more than one person, I'm also sorry all my answers were long. I am so appreciative when anyone comes to talk in my inbox, I'm so happy that running this account has helped me meet so many wonderful people!
Anyway, I'm probably too sentimental this time of year (lol). I'll wrap it up now.
Byeeeee! ❤️
