Autistic Girlies Bracket!

It is a sad truth that autism barely sees representation in media. Even if it does, the character presented on-screen is usually a young boy DESPITE the fact that your gender does not effect your likelihood to have been born autistic.

Which is why this bracket strives to highlight all the canon autistic and autistic-coded girlies out there in media!! And then pit them against each other to prove who is the girlie of all time <3

Rules:

Do not submit real people/actors/YouTubers/ect. (this includes VTubers and MCYT roleplay)

You can submit multiple characters, but no not submit the same character multiple times.

Please use the form to submit one character at a time (for the sake of organisation and my sanity). Characters submitted via the ask box will not be counted.

Characters do not need to be 'canon' to submit them. This competition will mostly be about autistic-coded characters because canon rep is so rare.

Characters do need to be a girl/woman/girl-aligned to submit them. I probably won't be too strict with this rule and if you're unsure please feel free to send me an ask.

One character per piece of media will be allowed into the competition.

Welcome to the Best Hat Tournament of 2023! We're here to celebrate all the wonderful and wacky hats this world has to offer, and decide once and for all, who's got the raddest headwear on the internet.

Rules!

No real people, YouTubers included

Helmets are allowed, but will only be added if there are some empty spots (or if they're rad enough)

You character should wear their hat a majority of the time, or be decently well known for their hat. I'm not interested in characters who wear a hat in only one scene (unless of course, it's rad enough)

Crowns and hoods count! Head bands do not! (Obviously unless it's rad enough)

You can submit as many characters as you like, but please do not spam any character. Spam won't be counted and may disqualify a character.

Only submit through the Google form, no submissions in my askbox will be counted

And a heads up: I don't plan on answering many asks publically or adding much to this blog other than polls and updates after polls begin. Anonymous asks will be turned off after the tournament starts for this reason.

hi! this will be yet another tournament, similar to @nonbiney-swag-competition, @weirdgirlshowdown, @bestsapphicship, @aroalloarena, @gaygirlscompetition, @transfemswagbracket, @autismswagsummit, etc, to determine which character has the most aromantic swag!!

here are a few ground rules:

no real people, only characters

no harry potter

characters can be canon aro, fanon aro, headcanoned aro, or just have the Vibes, it doesn't matter

i'll only include a maximum of 2 characters from any single piece of media in the bracket, so that it doesn't end up overloaded with one show/game/etc

Rock Fight

I’m a geologist, I love rocks, I love voting in polls, let’s do this!

Rules:

For this competition, I’m classifying a rock as “any natural material, hard or soft (e.g. clay), having a distinctive mineral composition”

I’m thinking of having a secondary poll for specifically minerals (naturally occurring, inorganic, solid material with a defined chemical formula and crystal structure).

If there is interest in doing a separate minerals poll, rocks included in the rock poll should be made up of two or more minerals (for example, no rock gypsum)

Any rock no matter how big or small, how dull or shiny, or how well known or obscure is welcome

Feel free to campaign for your favorite rock but remember that this is meant to be a silly fun poll about ROCKS!

The bracket itself will ultimately have NO MORE than 128 rocks (and no more than 128 minerals). I feel like there will probably be fewer than 128 different rocks? But maybe I’m wrong!

The first round will probably have day-long polls, and subsequent rounds will be week-long, but this is subject to change.

I’m thinking of seeding it like they do in sports - so the first round is the most submitted rock against the least submitted rock, the second most against the second least, and so on. Again, subject to change.

If you have a picture of a favorite sample for a rock or mineral, please feel free to send it my way (message, ask, whatever works).
