is it just me. who is so angry when libraries have books in series but not the first one. like tbh i don't care if you've got the first one and not the rest, but you've got book two?? and not one?? you've got book 12?? but not one?????

i understand things happen to library books but i would THINK. that'd be an item of priority. to replace the first book in a series. if something were to happen.

Is kinnporsche the concert stupid and is just for cash grab? Yes. Did they just turn the series into a musical? Yes. Is the whole cast unhinged and kissing live infront of millions of people? Yes. Is it a live whorehouse? Yes. Do they think they are kpop idols and dancing to kpop music eventho they can’t really dance? Yes. Did I buy two tickets to watch it and I don’t regret it??? Definitely yes!!

I am heavily contemplating on buying myself a dvd player soon and buying all the DVDs for a ton of movies and tv shows I grew up watching cuz I miss the magic of dvds

Mistletoes and Mayhem

I drew this last year but it wasn't Christmas time, so I waited. This is fanart for non-other than @changethecircumstances fanfic Mistletoe and Mayhem. I absolutely love their works for the Frenchie/Izzy ship as they basically captained the whole thing. The story was never finished but what few chapter were out I loved. I have read ever OFMD work they have made and even though I am not in any of the fandoms they writ effort currently, I like to support from behind. If you are looking for a good ship with Izzy (and my personal favorite), I definitely recommend their works.

I honestly kind of hate this and since have learned so much about art that I may redraw it as I have been rereading some of their fics again (currently on in order to get to the heart sometimes you have to cut through for like the 4th time). Maybe, maybe not but as winter break is soon, I should have some free time.

Anyways, go look at their blog and read their work, you won't regret it!

so what im getting is that it was absolutely unnecessary to isolate raffi on gotham city in order for her story to go on.

a story that’s so halfhearted that five episodes in—halfway to the end. btw—her motivation is yet to be explained (why go back to this sector of intelligence work when teaching seemed to be fulfilling? was she made to do this?? did she volunteer because her son now lives on this planet now apparently?? was losing elnor cris and possibly seven so painful that burying herself in work seemed like a better option??? who knows! not me!!) and it’s definitely a retreat character-wise but the fact that they still haven’t laid the groundwork to make this stick is kind of amazing lol. it’s the way they’re not even pretending to give a fuck about her or any of the other women characters for me—they said you’re a womb or a subordinate ladies pick one and shut the hell up LMAO?

the fact that the ‘real plot’ is happening on that other ship while everything raffi does is basically an afterthought with backstory slipped in between the cracks like aged caulk is so disheartening and pathetic. star trek picard make an effort maybe. she’s a polarizing character that’s been stuck in impossible situations, weighed down with retractions and stereotypes (they thread the line but HM) because the narrative continually refuses to meaningfully engage with her and a lot of fans of the show wont examine their own biases to see why they have such a viscerally negative reaction to a complicated black woman character that’s good at what she does, knows it and refuses to kneel at the foot of their hero’s :)

and if it wasn’t for ms hurd elevating this performance with sheer will, massive talent and the whip of that (sexy) ponytail? shit would be so much worse. but it’s still bad! because instead of giving her a nuanced, thoughtful send off she’s once again being made to suffer for the nth time. because why? oh right so wise man worf can guide her to the light lol give me a fuckin break.

and it’s no accident that if you cut raffi out (which they literally did in ep4 miss musiker you WILL be avenged) the story could more or less proceed as usual. that’s by design.

because legacy characters or not, im simply not buying that the main white cast members (plus two interlopers idgaf about those new guys and they’re doing nothing to make me care either. pick a random channel and their stories are being told right now live and in color like don’t piss me off) just so happen to be on the ship with the lead yet the sole woc is sent away on some underbaked adventure because ‘reasons?’ please. this season literally could not be more transparent about the audience they’re catering to and who/whose stories are of importance and consideration.

and i knew this would probably happen once the premise for s3 was revealed but i still can’t get over how obvious it is that there really was no plan for raffi and that she only happened to bypass the cull of the la sirena crew because she was romantically linked with seven at the time. which is baffling considering how things are (not) going between them (#theyareMARRIEDletthemTALKandKISSandREST)

and it’s not just them like everything about this season is quite literally happening just because. every slightly interesting or fresh development (and character it’s true) from the previous seasons has been dismissed or diminished and for what? secret sons and man pain? ew lmao. no suspense no lingering threads just excessive shots of ships, an aggressive insistence on biological families and rampant, shameless references to past glory. a mess.

#doing everyone so dirty but it’s fine because ‘familiar faces’ yeah okay 👍🏾#like can we all be serious for one second lol #they’re not even trying.#at least if this season was good i would somewhat understand why they snapped my faves out of existence but it’s literally not #feels insane to see so many people praise this #is this really where we are as an audience? nostalgia = good? really?#and the new characters they chose to add? come on #no space for rios but yall had space for TWO random white guys?#a christmas miracle!#like the kid is one thing but captain crunch ? they’re playing in my FACE #like i don’t even have any firm feelings about him because he’s pretty much a giant bore but #seeing all these allowances being made for him because of what he looks like whilst raffi continues to get shit on irks me so bad #like i knew it would happen ive been alive in the world lol but still #unsurprising but irritating af that captain crunch can sulk around in all his dickheaded glory #and it’s fine because he’s gods most traumatized baby boy but let raffi lash out once and it’s questions about her competence #and calls to have her removed like oh what’s the difference i wonder #‘men can laugh while a woman can only chuckle’ -godforbid she be black and self assured- like that person was preaching i fear!#if this sounds bitter it’s because i am <3 #michelle hurd deserves so much better like someone pls get her a five season dramatic series on a prestige network asap!#looks at this dissertation i just wrote oops ain’t mean to rant like that but they forced my hand 😭#now to watch raffi’s spar scene on loop and forget about the show until thursday comes around and rattles my cage again lol #raffi musiker #.rfi #stpk

My go-to whenever I'm looking for music to use in videos, ErinDromeda makes themed playlists using videogame music with a unique twist - each mix contains a story!

I really, REALLY appreciate how each playlist is labeled with a specific feeling, vibe, scenario. It's super helpful for my video making purposes! Most of the music in my videos has been found through an ErinDromeda mix, and I looove the variety of choice for anything you could need. You'll find both popular classics you could hear in any YouTube video, and obscure titles that you may have never of heard before!

I have to admit, I haven't been paying much attention to the story, but from what I've seen, It's genuinely interesting and fun. ErinDromeda uses videogame characters and adapts them to be parts of a large, continuous story that expands everytime a new mix is uploaded!

I discovered these playlists when one was recommended to me on the YouTube homepage - one of her more popular mixes, Video Game Music for Dancing in a Shopping Mall at 3AM! I enjoyed the variety and style, and ever since then I visit her channel whenever I'm in search of music for my videos.

oh what the fuck. the last two episodes of the demons saying swears show were actually pretty fucking good

#now i will say the worst problem with the series is the FUCKED pacing in the middle #and their only good songs are the VERY musical-type songs #which unfortunately are not in the majority #sigh. but the last two were pretty solid actually #some good jokes. even some good DIRTY jokes which i genuinely didn't think they were capable of #a character i really like actually. murder cannibal woman with a fun voice and design and So Many bone decorations #i was PISSEDDDD when it seemed like they killed off my favorite-ish character in a one-off 3 second scene but they brought him BACK #in a COOL WAY EVEN #with an EVEN COOLER REDESIGN #IM A HATER IM A HATER BUT I HAVE ENOUGH INTEGRITY TO GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT'S DUE ALRIGHT #which i will also say when we FINALLY got a lesbian kiss my roommates and i probably made our neighbors fucking hate us #we screamed very loudly

phew I got the tutoring job! huge relief, especially as I just narrowly avoided overdrawing my bank account when my rent payment went through 🫠 I still have about $1500 in medical bills to pay off in installments but I am sloooowly getting closer to being able to put money away again. I’m not sure I can really afford this weights class in the long term but I feel like gym classes are kind of on the same level as buying healthy food—both are expensive but they feel like justifiable expenses for health/well-being reasons. I’ll try out this two-month package I bought and see how I feel at the end of it.

okay let’s think about the day. I do want to go back and add two more slides to my slide deck (one definitions slide and one sample CS project, maybe the AI ethics or psych/CS one) then just quickly run through the whole thing, but I think it’s basically done. I also want to go for a 40 min walk since I won’t be home until after dark. let’s see how about this:

7-9 coffee, lounge, work emails

9-10 walk dogs

10-10:30 shower/get ready

10:30-11:15 add two additional slides, email slide deck to the professor, make breakfast and pack a late lunch?

11:15-11:45 get dressed but also hmm think a bit about this website stuff…

11:45ish drive into work

12:15-1 prep for website mtg + librarians mtg

1-1:30 class presentation

1:30-2 prep for librarians

2-2:30 meet with librarians

2:30-3:30 do a burst of work on rec letter? or finish website planning, review annual report

3:30-4 class presentation

4-6 scholars event

6-6:30 commute home (pick up Rx??)

stir fry leftovers for dinner, do some of these setup tasks for the tutoring job, read

#I’m also kind of annoyed with [redacted] for many reasons this week #one is that they rescheduled this talk last minute and moved it to a WFH day where I already had a bunch of meetings scheduled #and I had a conflict in the evening anyway so couldn’t have made it to campus and back in time #and she sends me a passive aggressive teams message being like wish you’d been able to make it…#would’ve been great to have you there….#and I’m just like. ok!#would’ve been great to have some advance notice rather than finding out the week of #there’s a second talk in the same series this week that was scheduled far in advance so I WAS able to block that one off #ugh whatever. I just hate passive aggressiveness. like it’s fine to be like #I expect you to consistently be there and I want you to prioritize it over other conflicts #(even if no one else in our office does)#but don’t act like it’s all totally optional come as you can and then send messages after being like we sure noticed you weren’t there

Idk I feel like Nampheung isn't Porsche and Porschay's mom.

Like it may sound weird bc we saw her in a flashback, but maybe she was a foster mom or something, because it just feels so weird how she reacts everytime Porsche or Porschay calls her "mom" oe say they are "a family" or when Korn is so insistant on her being Porsche's mom and his sister and Porsche being his nephew like. Idk it's so weird.

And like. Gun was shot trying to say "the truth that Nampheung is-" and he got shot and died on the spot. And at first i was like "what if she is Vegas' mom??" which at first seemed to make so much sense but then I rememberd how Gun talked about Vegas' mom and said Vegas was "as useless as [her]" and it just doesntfit with how he treats and talks about Nampheung so yeah

But like cutting him mid sentence might be a trap because everyone will think "what was she?? A sister? A mom? A lover?" but what if the real question was "What is she not?"

And again, Korn being so insitant on family links, the way Gun talks about her is ambiguous because he could love her the most as a sister but also as a lover?? So it would mean she is the related to them at all? And since Korn half confessed she was a "Foster sister" to him, i mean the whole "not blood related" thing would make sense

+ her being visibly uncomfortable around Porsche and Chay

+ Her having most her memory and Korn being the only person to know about her surviving (how convenient... To be the only person able to shape the mind and influence the way this woman who lost her memory thinks...really convenaient if you ask me)

So yeah. It's just a lot of little things adding up that makes me wonder if she truly is Porsche's and Chay's mom, or if it is just yet another lie from Korn.

+ Gun never called her "sister" or never mentioned her as "Posche's mom" or whatever. It's really only Korn creating these links and Porsche following his lead because he is so desperate to believe his mom is alive that I think it's easy to have him following Korn's words without too much questionning.

I for one do not trust Korn about anything. The more he talks the less I am willing to believe whatever he says.

#like I could go on and on about how Korn is the epitom of the word LIE and how he should not be trusted in any case #the more you rewatch the more you see it #and again I don't really like Gun I think he is despicable and he deserved what came to him #but if I had to choose the one less likely to lie between the two about this specific matter I would choose Gun without a second thought #and for the whole 'Nampheung may be Vegas' mother' I could bring up some elements that would support this theory #starting with the picture Gun had of Nampheung in his office #of the way he always talks sod early about/to her saying he loves her the most and stuff #and him calling Korn selfish sounded like he and Korn both liked Nampheung but Korn tried to keep Gun away to have her for himself #like again so many little things that could support this theory #the only thing that would go against this would be the 'you're as useless as your mother' talk from Gun to Vegas #but then again maybe Gun never told anyone Nampheung was Vegas mother to protect her and he found another woman to pretend or smth #idk I'm just trying to figure things out with the little pieces we have #hopefully season two will bring more questions that will lead to more answers #kinnporsche spoilers #kinnporsche the series #kinnporsche: the series #kinnporsche meta #kinnporsche thoughts #porsche kittisawat #porschay kittisawasd #korn theerapanyakul #gun theerapanyakul #nampheung kittisawasd

on one hand, Nico using his powers once or twice and then passing out in his boyfriends arms is super funny. On the other, it’s annoying that he was made way less powerful after the first series and it happens to enough characters in heroes of olympus to be super noticeable. Percy losing the curse of Achilles, Jason being a big three kid and ex praetor who is said to have fought a Titan with his bare hands and just getting brain damage in a new way every time he’s in the same place as something plot relevant. A case could be made for Piper not learning how to fight with a sword in the months between her quest and heading over to camp jupiter, but in like the later half of the series.

in the Percy Jackson series, Nico has a couple instances of manipulating earth/precious metals. In heroes of Olympus, to make Hazel seem more powerful he acts like her sending a thing of gold back into the ground is way beyond his abilities. Like he routinely brings the dead back to life but she took down Gaea by herself in her first life so it was really not necessary for Nico to be less powerful.

it’d make more sense for him to be MORE powerful than in pjo because he’s older! And he’s older than Hazel!!

after Tartarus and dragging a forty foot statue across the world, yeah, that makes sense as a reason for him to be less powerful/exhausted. But despite him being a big three kid he never gets treated as consistently powerful after that and it’s infuriating.

i missed the established canon of him and the other big three kids being a huge deal and there’s so much that could’ve been done with him staying at camp and being able to do scary things consistently. he murders Bryce and all but I doubt anyone at camp knows it and he almost turned himself into a ghost doing it so it’s not like the reader ever gets the impression it’s something he realistically could add to his arsenal, even ignoring the moral qualms. so much is made about him being creepy and unsettling and he says multiple times that he has been isolated from other demigods due to being the son of hades! and yet he rolls up to camp and he never demonstrates why he has potential to be very very dangerous due to his powers. I think it would’ve been really cool to see people have to actually get to know him to see he’s not that different from them, in SPITE of a difference in ability and the disturbing nature of his powers

the most disturbing thing he does at camp in blood of olympus is nothing! he stops will from trying to save octavian. that’s got nothing to do with his powers.

#of course this all stems from the other major problems of the second series #like he forgets that Nico was only twelve in the last Olympian and ages him two years between the series #and the power scaling problems #but also #like with camp #there’s just too much going on in heroes of Olympus and not enough time #pjo took place over four years and there was one prophecy per summer plus that one winter in at the turning point of the series #the hoo books take place in less than a year #and it’s a lot of mini quests inside of side quests to progress the plot forward to even getting to the end of the series #juggling so many POVs and developing so many new main characters was done well #but it didn’t lend itself to also covering the conflict between the camps #in pjo the camp changes as Percy grows up #other characters grow up with him and have development - like clarisse #the brief glimpses of the camps that we get don’t really provide that #in addition Octavian doesn’t get as much development as Luke did and is a much flatter character #inferences can be made about him and fans can come up with plenty of headcanons and reasons he didn’t deserve his horrific death and #the main characters calling him evil constantly #but in plain canon he’s just got nothing on luke castellan #obviously I mean that in the writing way I don’t like luke #He’s a very effective villain though and a very human feeling character #as the human villain luke did so well and octavian you feel nothing for bc we don’t see annabeth caring about him or meet his mother #this is a Nico post that has gotten away from me in my ramblings #excuse me I just have a lot of thoughts on this series
