Waverly is cleaning the counter as Rachel and Nedley go to the basement to get more booze. That’s how Nicole finds her when she arrives at Shorty’s. She leans on the door, hat in her hand, and she greets her wife.

“Hey, babe.”

Waverly smiles bright at her.

“I see Shorty’s still has wet t-shirt competitions...” she says as she starts moving towards the counter. “Although this is nothing compared to how wet you were last night.” She says with a smirk as she puts her hat on the counter and she leans forward to kiss her wife.

“Yeah, I admit, I had a craaazy night.” Waverly plays along as she leans back.

“Glad I was there to see it.” There goes that smirk again. “Anyways.... can I get a cappuccino to go?”

“Oh, I’m sorry. We’re not open yet.”

“Right, my bad... now that I think about it, you’ve been open all night long, so... I should probably give you a break.” She says only a few inches from Waverly’s face.

Neither one of them hears Rachel and Nedley getting back from downstairs, so they just keep on flirting.

“But, you know, if you ever needed help getting out of that wet t-shirt...”

“You think you could help me with that, sheriff?” Now it’s Waverly’s turn to smirk.

“Rachel, what is going on?” Nedley asks her as they stand by the basement door.

“Let’s just hope they don’t do it on the counter...”

“Huh?” Nedley looks at her not quite understanding what she means. But then it clicks. “Oh.... Oh. Nope, not in my bar. There’s a limit to what a man should see.” He says. Then he clears his throat to get the women’s attention. “I’m sorry ladies, I’m afraid you’ve mistaken this place for the Glory Hole...”

Waverly and Nicole part very quickly when they hear his voice. Turning a deep shade of red, they both apologize.

“I should probably get back to the station.” Nicole says grabbing her hat from the counter and leaning over to give Waverly a sweet kiss.

“Wait, what about your coffee?” Waverly asks as Nicole starts walking towards the door.

“Oh, maybe some other time...”

“How about tonight?” Waverly offers with a smirk.

“Perfect.” She winks as she puts her hat on and leaves.

scenes that got me to watch the rest of the show

glee - quinn tells finn she’s pregnant (1x04)

i saw this scene when i was seven or eight years old. at the time, finn was tied for my favorite character and i was genuinely terrified for him when i saw this. i didn’t know much at the time, but i knew that his face told me he felt his life was ruined. i considered putting the “don’t stop believin” scene from the pilot here because of what it means to me now, but at the moment i first saw it, it was just a song.

buffy the vampire slayer - buffy sings macho man (1x03)

this scene isn’t as dramatic or important as the last one. i had seen buffy when i was really little, but i wasn’t really into it until i was fourteen or fifteen. i feel like this specific moment kind of displayed the energy that the show was going to have (at least for the first three seasons. i might make a post about season six later. shit got dark).

wynnona earp - waverly and nicole meet (1x02)

i have to admit: i wasn’t sold after the first episode. i very much did not like the vibe of the show, the only person i liked was waverly, and i was really nervous. but i kept going and started the next episode. and i got this scene. every single thing about it got me immediately invested. it was because of of this scene i sat through everything else i didn’t like with characters i didnt like (especially dolls and doc) until it grew on me (except dolls and doc). i knew i had to stick around for these two and i knew it would be worth it

i am not okay with this - stanley is introduced (1x01)

before this, the show felt a little silly and trophy. i started watching for syd and dina, but stanley is what made me fall in love with it. he was so sweet and so clueless and in a lot of ways he felt like me and it got me to stay
