"Wataru-san." 

Wataru turns their head from where they're lying on the bed, still upside down, the ends of their hair cascading down one edge with their legs propped up against the wall. "Yeees, Festival-MaM-san?" 

Their insistence on using nicknames while conveniently ignoring the one Mama had been asking them to use for months now would border on endearing if it wasn't equally frustrating. Pointing that out, however, would be the way to madness and she's long since given up on trying to convince Wataru of anything. "Wataru-san, have you noticed anything about our dorm room?" 

Wataru, still stubbornly lying on their bed, twists their head further, apparently to take in the room in full before turning back to Mama. Their expression, upside-down, is harder to read than it usually would be. "Nothing in particular, no." They make a thoughtful sound. "Maybe it's cleaner than usual?" 

The innocent nonchalance on display is, in itself an admission. "Nothing at all?" 

They shuffle in what, somehow, looks like a perfectly innocent shrug. "Nothing at all, my dear roommate. Is something on your mind?" Their face twists into the picture of innocence right before Mama, Wataru's eyes widening in false curiousity. 

"There's a lot of plants here," Mama points out after giving up, gesturing around the two of them in wide sweeps. "Did you not notice at all?" 

"I was fully immersed in my script, my dear roommate." Wataru holds up the collection of leafs that has indeed been resting on their lap ever since Mama entered the room.

 "So you didn't notice anything?"

 "Nothing out of the ordinary, at least." They look at her, eyes still wide and innocent. "My doves quite enjoy the extra foliage however." 

Mama nods, looks around the room again and then heads for the door to go back out. Maybe she'll come back with a plant. It seems like a competition brewing on the horizon.

YES despite being Like That koga is a really good authority figure/role model of sorts for mostly the twins but also all his juniors really, and its just so cute cuz he would never admit that and would get mad if it was pointed out cuz he tries so hard to seem heartless and abrasive but when hes in the position to help someone depending on the person he pretty much always takes it. he just doesn't have it in him to go the full 9 yards with his little facade , it goes against everything he stands for . youre not fooling anyone buddy we know you are a lover at heart

i love ibara and rinnes relationship SO much, i dont ship them but i do ship nikibara and rinniki and whichever of those ships it is the one thing that stays the same is that rinne and ibara will cross paths significantly more often because of niki , and they have such a strained relationship but tolerate each other because they both care about niki and don't want to make him sad, despite the urge to have a screaming match on sight every time theyre in the same room . and it's not that they hate each other or anything they just do not get along at ALL . theyre so passive aggressive with each other you could cut the tension with a knife . this is one of my favorite ship dynamics , i also like madakuro and kurokei for this reason (although its way more extreme in their case . keito is so intimidated by madara its actually hilarious) and also watamada and wataei but that one falls a little more into crackship territory for me, i just think theyre so funny . theyre sitcom material.

There had always been a hint of familiarity in Wataru's interactions with Mikejima Madara. Perhaps something about the set of her shoulders, too-big-smiles, too-loud-voice, the cheerful persona juxtaposed to a woman who preferred to disappear into the shadows to the company of others. Getting her to agree to join a Dramatica performance had, surprisingly, not been hard, but making her stay for any longer than necessary unless explicitly invited. 

It was a recognizeable pattern, although not one Wataru enjoyed seeing. Few liked looking into a mirror and seeing a slightly different version of themselves reflected back, a bird that had never found its flock. 

And so it's no surprise that, instead of mingling with the rest of Dramatica after a successful performance, Madara is instead outside the building, leaning against a wall in the dark, costume already discarded, stage make-up remaining slightly smudged on her face. 

"It is considered quite rude to leave before the party has even started, my dear roommate~" Wataru skips the dramatic entrance this time, smiling to themself when Mama's first instinct upon hearing their voice is to look up, before she locates their voice.

 "I simply thought I'd leave the acting crowd to themselves, Wataru-san~" She smiles, looking gregarious as ever. "You've got a looooot to celebrate among yourselves after all. I simply helped out a liiiittle bit."

 She straightens her jacket and moves to leave, a move Wataru cannot allow! This scene has only just begun after all! 

"Wataru-san?" Madara looks down at the strand of hair wrapped around her wrist, brows knit in confusion. 

"Even a lone wanderer must find a place to rest, no?" Wataru smiles. "Perhaps not in the crowds, if you'd rather avoid them, but will you be my guest for the evening?" 

"And where would you be if not the middle of the crowd, Wataru-san? How uncharacteristic of you." 

Wataru lightly tugs on her wrist with his hair and Mama, despite initial resistance, takes a few steps towards them. A small victory! A concession! A foot in the door! Wataru only needs a slight crack to contort his way into any room, and the two steps Mama had taken may as well have been a wide open door. "Are you not a crowd all by yourself, Mama-san?" A little quieter, as if it is a deep secret, they add, "Perhaps I, too, wish for a little less company once in a while?" 

"How uncharacteristic of you." 

"And yet! It is nothing but the truth ☆" Or close to it. A little white lie feels like nothing, a necessary sacrifice to see the small smile on Mama's face, the small crack in her stoicism. Perhaps they aren't quite birds of a feather, but, for tonight, they'll perch next to each other. And perhaps tomorrow they'll be able to drag her along to Dramatica's celebrations.

So sorry, I kept writing up my reply in my head and then forgetting to answer. It's been a while so I may of forgetting most of the questions^^

First impressions:

When I first heard of our dear Mama, I was amused. Here is my boyfriend, @eviltranskanata, explaining enstar characters to me and then he brought up a guy calling himself "Mama". I was instinctly hooked. He was chaotic and I always love characters like Mama. A mystery, but oh so silly. I just found him interesting.

Impressions now:

I still find him just as interesting and I just have no idea how he managed to worm his way into my heart. I still find him interesting and just generally a complex character. I still need to read his stories. If you're in a enstars discord server with me (looks at Checkmate cafe), you'll know some of my thoughts on him. He's complex, an asshole, and just please Happyele let him heal please! Give him to me!

Story idea?:

I actually was planning on writing a Watamada scene for this (hence why it took me so long to answer), but my motivation sucks ass. Had a thought of them being in their dorm room....making...out.... That's it. A break down of their masks, giggling and being just...people. sparkle sparkle. Or something like a first date or just...something nice and warm. Maybe a little angst but my heart can't handle too much angst when it comes to...well, Mama.

Fandom?:

This is where I admit I forgot the rest of the questions (I'm so bad at remembering things and I can't find the post again TwT). I actually don't really know how the fandom interprets him, I kinda only engage in a small portion of the fandom here on tumblr. And I end up blocking a lot of KohakuxMadara blogs/ships because....dude....DUDE! Otherwise from that, not..much. I know Madara isn't really popular in general (as I heard), and I don't know if I should count that as a blessing or as a curse. Because on one end: People overlook just how complex he is and how much of a hot mess he is(and more). But on the other end: people would end up simplifying him, just like they did with other characters, to fulfill a ship. Talking of ships, I do have my favourite trio of ships (Madarei, WataMama, and Madaleo), but I feel like who he is right now(as in his character atm)...wouldn't exactly be possible due to how many barriers he has up. This is of course my view of him, and remember that I kinda...just only read Meteor Impact. Reading Enstar stories, in its current format, is kinda hard for me to do. Mostly the time aspect of it really stops me, I wish there was an audio format for it.

So sorry for forgetting the rest of the questions, but honestly! Feel free to send me more characters, I would love to tell you guys my thoughts.
