Monika being normal when she doesn't have the power of gods is a large sense-make.

It is!! I think, a lot of the ddlc fandom has a problem where they've flanderised the characters down to their most extreme states and forgot what they actually are like. in the actual game. So there are people out there who write and characterise Monika as if she's always some yandere who's obsessed with the player character who has no morality and will kill anyone who gets in her way. yknow she's not even like that in the actual game either, people just saw that act 3 Monika was kind of yandere-tropey and forgot everything about her actual character and made her yandere girl 300. Monika could have done worse. sorry I'm being a Monika apologist I do have monikan in my blog name. Monika is literally just some dorky high-school girl who was given god powers and told her world wasn't real and that part of her character doesn't go away when she has the revelation, why would it not be present when she doesn't have god powers? #this is what i was referring to in my last post #sometimes ideas will just pop into my head and i will be unable to resist the urge #i missed sprite editing. it had been a while since i last made a person's sprite #anyways her name is Akira and I haven't decided if it's Akira Tomori or Akira Hatano yet #i like both of their surnames a bunch #thinking of her from a scenario where Ayame and Kizuna survive the kg and get together a while afterwards #Akira is adopted. obviously. Her biological parents died in the tragedy she was adopted at around 4-6 years old #doesn't remember how her bio parents where because she was like? 1-2 years old when they died? #being with them in whatever happened that led to their deaths she may have some form of memory problem from the accident(?) #Akira is pretty forgetful and slow on the uptakes. but it's nothing too worrisome #she doesn't actually care that she can't remember her bio parents because the family she has now is much more important to her #she takes more after Kizuna especially in tems of personality (tho definitely not as bad as she used to be in Dra if you know what i mean) #put them in a room together and they will gossip and talk about random shit for hours #she loves Ayame too! they just don't talk a much? You ever think the reason Horatio was so loyal to Hamlet was because he felt like he was responsible since he showed him the ghost in the first place?

#like Horatio showed him the ghost and then the next day (or at least soon after) Hamlet starts acting insane and scaring the entire court #and Horatio is the only person who really knows why at first. like I am sure that Horatio knew that he was the only person Hamlet could #trust. And the lack of trust is really the thing that pushes Hamlet further towards actual insanity. The thing is Hamlet is right to #distrust everyone except Horatio because ultimately they all report to his uncle the king who he’s trying to kill (some more directly #than others.) But if everyone thinks he’s insane well then why would they listen to a word he has to say? #It’s interesting though because both Hamlet and Ophelia act/go insane but their words and actions are not without meaning #especially Ophelia. Even during her mad scene she makes sense in an albeit strange way #But sadly this post is not about my favorite girl Ophelia it is about my favorite girl Horatio. So back to the point. #Wait actually we can bring fav girl Ophelia into this! #So when Ophelia does actually go insane Horatio is kinda made to be responsible for her. Go find her/follow her/look for her. And he does. #But then what happens to Ophelia regardless? She drowns perhaps on accident perhaps on purpose #It is after that that Hamlet returns. He’s had Rosencrantz and Guildenstern killed he’s killed Polonius and he still needs to kill Claudius #and yet Horatio is still there. And by this point citing the promise he made to Hamlet at the beginning of the play makes little sense #also because he simply promised to not tell anyone about the ghost. Like you don’t see Marcellus hanging around do you? #And obviously Horatio and Marcellus have very different relationships to Hamlet so I realize that last part is a flimsy argument. #But to wrap this up: seeing the ghost was the catalyst for Hamlet’s rapid decent into what I believe to be actual madness. Or at least #depression and suicidal ideation as seen in his famous soliloquy. It lead to the death of literally everyone except Horatio. I think it’s #likely for Horatio to have survivors guilt but I also think he knew how badly everything was going during the play. #and I think it makes sense that he would feel responsible in addition to just being a good friend to Hamlet. #Anyways I’m not a scholar I am not a student of Shakespeare I am not qualified to speak on anything related to this play. #hamlet #horatio #ky’s gallery

im having more thoughts about that tmnt sweet toot au. i think Splinter (still Hamato Yoshi) and his wife were on an ill-timed trip to New York when the sick broke out, and they ended up sort of stranded because in an effort to contain the sick, no one was allowed in or out of the country. Tang Shen unfortunately caught it, and after her death, Splinter kinda just gave up on life and went to live in a cabin in the woods while quietly hoping the sick would claim him too. hes been out there alone for a while when he finds the turtles and they restore his will to live :)

    “ Damn you! Stop, stop! “     Something had gone terribly awry with this raising. A dear friend, Sheila, come back wrong... a shambling, feral shell of the woman Amara had known in her life. And the necromancer could not draw the charade of life back from her. The strain of magic coursing through Amara’s fingers, painfully hot as though she’d placed her hand on a sizzling pan, made her eyes water --- or was it the grief causing that? ---  as she planted her feet in the earth, fingers curling back in a vain attempt to withdraw the energy she’d given... but Sheila --- or rather, what had once been her --- didn’t even seem to notice. A decrepit corpse, she was perched like a gargoyle on the wall. Garbled speech and hisses rumbled from from a withered throat. 

And then, like a cornered animal, the shell turned with hollow eyes fixing to Paul with a deep hunger. Mouth parted in a scream and it lunged, hands flailing and scratching.  Teeth gnashed and jaw clamped as it sought out flesh.    “ No, no, go back, you fucking --- ! “    Amara’s frustrated cry was nearly drowned out by the shell’s own screeches. 

And finally, finally, the body weakened and slumped forward, still screaming and clawing until the glow faded entirely from its empty eyes. And Amara followed. Drained, exhausted, she caught herself against the wall, cursing with each strained breath.    “ Are you alright? Paul, are you alright?    ------- I am sorry, I don’t know what happened. That should not have... goddammit. Did she hurt you? “
