King's hair change and colors.

King is the only legendary blader, and so far the only character alongside Ryuga, to have a change of appearance due to his beyblade. Although this transformation can be seen as a reference to the famous Super Sayan transformation from Dragon Ball Z, it has a deeper connection to the beyblade franchise.

In the manga, King's hair is always white, just like when he transforms. However, in the anime, his "basic form" is the one where he has blue hair. In the metal saga, white is mainly associated with left rotation and blue with right rotation. This is illustrated by the launchers (Julian's and King's), the colour of which indicates which way the bey will spin.

White is also the typical colour of L-Drago, the only left spinning bey in existence (until Zero-G), while blue is the colour of Pegasus. Pegasus is arguably the most powerful right-spinning beyblade (at the end of Metal Fury) and L-Drago's counterpart. Ryuga only uses the left rotation and the dominant color of his design his white. While it is blue for Gingka.

So the colours of Kings' hair can be seen as a symbol of Varires' variability and his ability to turn both left and right. Notice how his hair changes colour in the second round of the Destroyer Dome when he uses the left rotation.

Bonus: Julian also uses a dual-rotation beylade. His 'twin jewels' Sophie and Wales have nicknamed their bey White and Blue Cetus respectively.

-sophie and wales have modeled for fashion magazines. they’re very popular in their respective countries and have garnered a reputation outside of beyblade (nowhere near as big as julian’s but alas)

-unlike the other three klaus actually came from a more middle-class background. he’s not used to the luxury his teammates have accustomed to. listen he may respect his teammates in beyblade but he sometimes internally rolls his eyes at all the rich people stuff they do

-wales has a big sweet tooth that he vehemently keeps secret. he loves pastries in particular and his teammates would gift him fresh pastries whenever they meet up. he acts all snooty and polite but immediately eats them when their backs are turned

-klaus is the only one who knows how to decently cook. he sometimes cooks meals for the team to celebrate victories :)

-julian worries a lot abt the way he treats his team after masters. he has a lot of anxiety abt doing something that might make them leave or that he’s pushing them away again. which in turn only makes him close himself off more. get this man some therapy and medication ☹️

Characters I think would be Massive Icks in the dating game based on random assumptions I'm making about them:

Kyoya: Physically cannot show any interest in anything you like, but will cry and scream if you're not interested in what he likes.

Masamune- If you don't think turning everything into a competition will get ear-bleedingly irritating, you're dead fucking wrong. Also he doesn't drink water? Like ever?? It's only ever soda...

Tetsuya: Will have to be a long distance relationship with random periods of no-contact due to him being a wanted criminal in every province in Japan. Also no hygiene.

Ryutaro- Does not respect your opinion (even if you agree with him, somehow?). And if the tea leaves say you're gonna pay for the date, you're gonna pay for the fucking date.

Reiji- Should be in jail.

Wales- Rude to wait staff. Not like "entitled middle-class white mum" rude, but more "he just knows he's above them" rude.

Julian- Goes hunting for sport. Gross rich boy behaviour.

Zeo- Definitely needs a good load of therapy before entering the dating scene (and if you're anyone except Toby, he will spend the whole date going on about his "best and greatest and sweetest friend Toby").

Damian- Calls women "females." Idk he just gives that vibe, like he has to refer to everyone in a scientific way to seem Smart and Superior.

Aguma- Won't stop trying to convince you that the Beylin Fist's way of life is the best way of life and bitching about Wang Hu Zhong.

More Beyblade Characters That I Think Would Be Friends With Essentially No Explanation

Aleksei, Ian, and Madoka: The coding trio!!! All three of these characters are extremely smart and probably have hacked their ways into the Pentagon at least once each for fun. They would just hang out and talk about tech together.

King and Tithi: I personally headcanon them both to speak Spanish so when King hear Tithi talking in it before the second battle of Nemesis, he got super excited since no one else spoke that or Greek. Tithi just immediately became his little sibling because of this and he is super protective over the kid.

Argo and Klaus: Ok, Klaus loves weightlifting and bodybuilding, Argo loves boxing, hear me out here, they're workout buddies. Like Majority of the time it would be over face time but they work out together and talk about athletics and gym stuff since they're like the only two of the World Championship group who are really into it (Aguma joins them later on).

Motti, Hikaru, and Selen: Solely based on the headcanons that Motti becomes an DJ apprentice and Selen becomes a PR worker at the WBBA District office in Brazil. These three would utterly run the entire WBBA. Seriously, Hikaru's in the administrative side, Selen's in public relations, and Motti's in the DJ branch. Working together, they could take over the whole thing in a night. Without even breaking a sweat.

Wales and Chao-Xin: Fashion designer Wales and fashion snob Chao-Xin. FASHION DESIGNER WALES AND FASHION SNOB CHAO-XIN. Like these two would likely spend hours debating together on wether or not one of them should buy a shirt because that particular shade might not match their eyes right and have the most fun of their lives doing so.

Nowaguma and Yuki: Now, Yuki would likely get along with the entire group of space cadets, but especially Nowaguma. They're both very shy and quiet (Nowaguma more so but still) and love space. They're besties.

Benkei, Enzo, and Tithi: Another immediate big brother. Like Benkei immediately became Yu and Kenta's older brother with two interactions. He would see Tithi and Enzo and just go "more siblings, perfect".

Kakeru, Nile, Demure, and Benkei: Kakeru would be utterly spoiled by all three of them. He already is spoiled rotten by Kyoya dotting on him and suddenly, boom, three more siblings who do the exact same thing and try to be his favorite. Like Benkei will just make him food constantly, Nile will help him with homework, and Demure will take him to cool places for him to bike that they found.
